Backstage, Je'Von Evans talks with Trick Williams regarding the attacks from the four mystery men, saying that no one is safe and that this is "our NXT." Trick Williams is still focused on what he has going on, tells him that it is everyone for themselves, and that Je'Von will never be him and never be champion before telling him to tighten up and leaving. Lexis King shows up and says that he can at least see Trick's point, but when he says Je'Von can eat solid food again but should really be sucking it through a straw, Je'Von punches him in the mouth.

The D'Angelo Family (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino, Adriana Rizzo) gets ready for their match when Tony D'Angelo shows up. D'Angelo is proud of Stacks for "thinking like an underboss" and says that Stacks has everything handled.

Stephanie Vaquer heads to the ring. Stephanie says that wrestling is her first language and that being a double champion proves it, and while she had the freedom to choose any brand, she chose NXT so she could make history in the best women's division on the planet. She says that she proved why she is "La Primera" when she beat one of the best in Giulia, and that holding both of NXT's women's titles make her the best of the best. As Stephanie awaits her first opponent, Jordynne Grace shows up and congratulates Stephanie, then reminds her that she beat Roxanne Perez, who elevated the NXT Women's Championship to a different level. As Jordynne says this victory puts her first in line, she is suddenly attacked by Jaida Parker. Jaida Parker says Jordynne is first in line for nothing and that the line starts behind her, and that she is not waiting until Stand & Deliver to make a point because she is shooting her own shots. She plans to leave her match against Stephanie Vaquer as champion. Meanwhile, Ashante "Thee" Adonis and Karmen Petrovic are seen arguing in the background.

Ricky Saints beats Ridge Holland.

We see the four mystery men backstage, unmasked. Dion Lennox is one of them, and says that they are tired of paying their dues and waiting for their chance. Cutler James is another of them, and says that they are game changers. A third says that they are re-arranging things, and a fourth says that they are known as "Darkstate" and that nobody is safe. They then go back into the arena to do some more damage and truly make a statement.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Ricky Saints, who says that he will deliver on his promises and that includes winning championship gold. The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Brooks Jensen, Izzi Dame) shows up, and Izzi Dame says that Saints may have the courage and charisma of a larger man, then looks down when she says he does not measure up. Saints says that he always measures up in the right places, then The Culling leave.

Trick Williams beats Eddy Thorpe by TKO in an NXT Underground Match with the Trick Shot followed by a ground and pound. After the match, Trick Williams calls out Oba Femi. Oba Femi shows up, and he and Trick have a staredown before the lights go out. Suddenly, Darkstate show up from out of the crowd, then Je'Von Evans shows up in the ring. Trick shoves Je'Von, Oba and Trick brawl, then everyone around the ring starts breaking up the brawl. Oba and Femi beat up everyone, then go back to fighting each other before Je'Von hits Oba with a cutter. Meanwhile, Darkstate have never left the crowd, and they love what they see. Oba Femi heads to the ring. Oba says that his match at Vengeance Day is more of a handicap match than a Triple Threat Match, as A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) will try to team up to take his title only for their egos to get in the way, as it is every man for themselves. A-Town Down Under shows up, and says Grayson thought better of Oba and that the pressure is getting to him. He says Je'Von has a full career ahead of him, but cannot help himself and will risk everything to get his hand on him. He says Je'Von has "a million dollar smile and a ten cent brain" and that what will happen to him is not his fault, and that Je'Von has a target on his jaw. Ethan says that what will happen at Vengance Day will be ten time worse and that Je'Von will have to look for a new career after he ends his.

Theory takes exception to that comment, and Grayson says that nobody wants them to break up before stating that Frazer and Axiom are done as a team after they beat them for the tag titles. As A-Town Down Under continue to state Frazer and Axiom are better as singles competitors, Axiom says that while they did not plan this, they ended up being the tag team division's gatekeepers, and Frazer that they will send A-Town Down six feet under.
