Final iMPACT! - iMPACT! recap for April 3, 2025

Joe Hendry guests on commentary for the next match.

Frankie Kazarian beats Elijah to become #1 contender for the TNA World Championship after messing with Joe Hendry at the announce table and shoving him into Elijah before beating Elijah with a stack-up pinfall attempt back in the ring. After the match, Hendry goes after Kazarian and even goes through security to do so, and Elijah has to pull Hendry off of Kazarian.

Backstage, Joe Hendry finds out that his shoulder is injured, but he refuses to go to the hospital. He soon finds out that he does not have much of a choice.

Eddie Edwards is in the ring. He talks about how he came out last week (in a segment that is social media exclusive) and gave The System (Alisha Edwards, Moose, Brian Myers, JDC) an ultimatum: either be on board with his vision going forward or hand in their ring and be out of The System. The rest of The System comes out and heads to the ring, then says that he knows JDC is sick and tired of losing and wants to know if he is in or out of The System. JDC says he is in. Eddie then addresses Myers, mentioning their history and wanting the tag team titles back, then asks Myers if he is in or out. Myers says they must finish what they started, and says he is in. Eddie then addresses Alisha, saying he knows her better than anyone and knows he does not want to hang around losers, and asks if she is in or out. Alisha says she loves Eddie and she is in. Eddie then addresses Moose, saying he knows what greatness and wants to know if he wants to achieve it again, and asks if he is in or out. Before he can answer, Cody Deaner shows up and says he has waited for a member of The System to get fired. Eddie is bewildered by Deaner's sudden appearance, but Deaner says not everyone is on the same page and advises Moose that he does not have to make a choice and to let this be the people's choice. He says that the only thing more interesting than a public firing would be a public resignation, and asks the fans if Moose should be in or out. The fans make it clear they want Moose out. Deaner tells Moose to listen to the people, as the people have spoken, and Moose thinks on it before telling Cody Deaner that the people are absolutely right before booting him in the face. The System then give Deaner a stomping before everyone puts their fists together in the middle of the ring.

Backstage, Director of Authority Santino Marella makes Leon Slater the first competitor in the Ultimate X Challenge. It is then revealed that Matt Cardona is also in the match when he tells Moose to check TNA socials as he tells the rest of The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, JDC) they have matches.

Arianna Grace guests on commentary for the next match.

Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) beat Spitfire (Jody Threat and Dani Luna).

Backstage, Mike Santana shows up with a friend named Derek, who is three months sober, and meets with Director of Authority and thanks him for giving Derek a job on the TNA crew. Santino then shows Derek around.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) make their way to the ring. Matt says that the only thing that is for certain is that everyone's true character eventually emerges and that we saw "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth's true colors, and that all their respect for him is out of the window. He says Nic and his brother "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth have hurt him physically, but it did not scar him. It was not until he returned home and saw the fear and sadness in his kids' eyes, it scarred them, and it hurt him more than anything physical. Matt mentions the scar on his nose from Nic deviating his septum and says it will represent how Nic hurt his children, his rage for Nic and how he is still broken, and that he will delete Nic. Jeff mentions Nic and Ryan being stand-up comedians and calls what they did to them "their GOAT joke," and that they are insane for thinking they will win the tag titles and be the better brother tag team. After Jeff says that Nic and Ryan made a mistake not finishing the job, Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) show up, and John Skyler says The Hardys may be legends, but they have a reality check for them and the fans. He says it is 2025, not 1999, but Matt says the only difference is that The Hardys are now the greatest of all time compared to when they were great. John Skyler says The Great Hands know about being great, and thanks to Mustafa Ali moving on to bigger and better things after beating Mike Santana, they have moved on to the tag titles. Jeff asks the crowd if they want to be a part of Team Extreme tonight, then Director of Authority Santino Marella shows up and makes "The Great Hams vs. The Hard Boys" the next match, with The Great Hands getting a title shot if they win.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch). Backstage after the match, "The Hollywood Hunk" Ryan Nemeth is not impressed, then Leon Slater shows up and confronts Ryan. This leads to Ryan challenging Slater to a match before security breaks up the ensuing brawl.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Dr. Asa, who announces that Joe Hendry has a Grade III severe sprain on his rotary cuff, and that he hopes - and believes - Hendry can recover.

Steph de Lancer and Mance Warner show up on the stage. Steph calls her reign as TNA Digital Media Champion the greatest of all time and announces a party where she and Warner show what they get up to behind closed door. Mance says they are stars, champions, and even on the cover of magazines such as the non-existent "TNA Weekly," then Steph says they make history and that they rule TNA and will soon rule the whole world. Mance says there is nobody better than them before the two of them make out and Director of Authority Santino Marella interrupts. Santino says Steph and Mance cannot call themselves the TNA Digital Media Champions after getting the title from a divorce, then strips them of the title. He then announces that there will be a tournament at Unbreakable, with the winner becoming the TNA International Champion, which every match being a three-way match in honor of "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels for the TNA X Division Championship from Unbreakable 2005. When Santino asks for the Digital Media Championship, Steph refuses to hand it over, and Sami Callihan shows up to attack Mance and throw him off the stage into a table. Sami then hands the Digital Media title on Santino.

Backstage, Derek is met by Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch), and Tasha says Mustafa Ali would like a word before The Great Hands shove Derk into the trunk of a car. After the commercial break, Derek is forced to meet Mustafa Ali, who knows about Derek's sobriety and that he destroyed another family's life a year ago in an accident that he caused, and that while Derek walked away, the accident killed a little girl. He calls Derek a monster and an addict and that he has been and always will be a monster, then says he is unworthy of happiness before spitting in his face and having The Great Hands throw him out of the room. When Hotch asks why they did, Mustafa says "He's an addict. Addicts destroy themselves."

We hear from personal concierge George Iceman and Heather by Reckless, who says that Ash By Elegance is on vacation and that they will be back stronger than others. Iceman says he has his eyes on a new challenger: Maggie Lee, who has been winning matches but has a bad fashion sense. Heather says Maggie needs a new mentor like her, and the two of them plan to turn Maggie into "elegance."

El Hijo del Vikingo will be in the Ultimate X Challenge.

The Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx) and Tessa Blanchard beat Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside and Masha Slamovich after Fallon Henley distracts Masha Slamovich so that Tessa can hit Masha with the Buzzsaw DDT for the win. Rosemary is seen watching Xia Brookside from the crowd during the match.

Backstage, Mike Santana finds out that Mustafa Ali has gotten to Derek after members of security find Derek slumped in a chair.

Frankie Kazarian is in the ring. Kazarian announces Joe Hendry's shoulder injury from earlier tonight, then says that he is sorry that he did not end Hendry's career tonight, because he could have. He then says he could have ended Hendry's career and called his shot, but he is a man of honor and will not call his shot in St. Joseph, Missouri. Kazarian then says that he will call his shot on April 27th in "the great state of California" at Rebellion, and at the end of the night, he will finally be TNA World Champion. All of a sudden, "All Ego" Ethan Page shows up in TNA for the first time in four years and shows his appreciation for how Kazarian is doing business, then says he has beaten Joe Hendry at 100% and that he has pitched a match to Director of Authority Santino Marella. Kazarian calls Santino a stooge who has no , then Ethan announces that Hendry will be defending the TNA World Championship against him at Rebellion. Kazarian takes this as Ethan coming back to his company and taking his championship, but Ethan gives him the first shot if he wins. Kazarian tries to attak Ethan with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Trophy, but Ethan ducks and hits him with a boot to the face to end the show.

Oba takes the award for Male Superstar of the Year from Mike Rome and says that it does not matter who wins, as the award is just a prop for a popularity contest and that the fans do not dictate the narrative. He also says that his performance remains the same regardless of who wins and that the fans control nothing; only he does, and that next week, he will become NXT Champion. Suddenly, Trick Williams shows up and says he sees no problem in getting love from the fans, which he appreciates, but says he must be ruthless and dig deep to retain his championship and get the job done next week. He says that Oba Femi is beatable and that Oba is chasing him to become a champion again, and says that he took time off after losing at Halloween Havoc and asks how long Oba will take off after next week. As Oba approaches Trick, Eddy Thorpe shows up from behind Oba and shoves Oba into Trick, knocking Trick out of the ring before attacking Oba with the award and holding up the NXT Championship to end the show. (After the show, it would be confirmed on Twitter/X that Oba Femi is Male Superstar of the Year.)

In backstage footage from last week, Tyson Dupont confront Tyriek Igwe for refusing to shake hands with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, but Tyriek Igwe says he is sick of losing. Nathan Frazer and Axiom retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) despite Axiom not being 100% for the match.

Backstage, Je'Von Evans confratulates Hank Walker and Tank Ledger on their win last week, and pictures them being champions in 2025. Meanwhile, a miserable-feeling "All Ego" Ethan Page watches from the background. Ethan Page then pushes his way past everyone as Je'Von talks about nearly winning the Iron Survivor, much to everyone's concern.

Backstage, Lexis King meets with Charlie Dempsey. The two of them go through a "deck of cards" training regiment, and Lexis is able to keep up with Dempsey. Dempsey gives Lexis a match for the Heritage Cup Championship.

"All Ego" Ethan Page shows up and heads to the ring unexpectedly while not in the best of moods, and says everyone has a right to boo him. Ethan Page says he has made a long eighteen-year journey to get to NXT, and says he has promised his family and his daughter that he would win the big one, and he did it in record time. He also credits his wife, saying that without her, there would be no Ethan Page and he would not be in NXT. He says that he got to live his dream because of her, but now when he loses, his family loses. He says that his family is sad and disappointed and that it eats him alive, and that he does not know if he loves doing this anymore and that he has lost his smile. All of a sudden, Je'Von Evans shows up and apologizes, but says it does not feel good hearing about other peoples' accomplishment and seeing his cocky ego before saying that this is not who Ethan Page is. Je'Von Evans says he saw the real Ethan at Heatwave when he saw him tell his family that he loved them after he won the title, and says that not everyone can do that. He also says that the joy upon seeing his family as champion was that of a proud father. Je'Von says that Ethan deserves to be in NXT and that the fans know that he deserves to be in NXT, then tells him to drop the "All Ego" act and show off who he really is, as both he and the fans are proud of him. Ethan agrees, saying he should not be worried about losing his title, but taking Je'Von's. He then hits Je'Von with the microphone and beats him up before grabbing a metal folding chair and scaring a referee away. Ethan then wraps a chair around Je'Von's neck and stomps it, causing Je'Von to spit out blood before referees show up.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Trick Williams, who wishes Je'Von Evans a speedy recovery before addressing Eddy Thorpe, telling him that he also gets what he wants by showing he is worthy of holding the NXT Championship. Oba Femi suddenly shows up and hopes Trick wins tonight, as he wants to beat him for the NXT title. Trick says he looks forward to it.

We hear from Stephanie Vaquer, who says that Cora Jade does not know her and how she tirelessly worked to get to NXT and that she will become everything Cora wants to be. She says that next week, she will take Cora Jade to Hell.

Eddy Thorpe vs. Trick Williams for the NXT Championship ends with both men pinning each other with both of their shoulders on the mat at the same time after the referee is knocked out and another referee takes his place. The first referee claims Thorpe won by placing his hand over Trick, and the second referee claims Trick won, even though both men clearly had their shoulders on the mat. Both referees explain what happened to General Manager Ava when she arrives as the show ends.

He addresses winning last year's men's Iron Survivor Challenge and his tag team match last week with Bubby Ray Dudley before calling Ridge Holland out for what he did to him. Andre Chase shows up and says that he still has beef with Ridge, and Trick mentions how Chase always lands on his feet with every setback and recognizes him for the hard work he has done in NXT. Trick then mentions that Chase has done almost everything except win the NXT Championship, and as he proposes an NXT Championship match between the two of them, Ridge shows up and objects to this. Ridge tells Chase that he has moved on and tells Trick that he made the 2300 Arena fall silent when he pinned him, and Chase says he wants one more match with Ridge after everything he has put his university through. Ridge refuses even after Chase puts his university on the line, saying he only cares about the NXT Championship, and Trick proposes a match between Chase and Ridge where the winner faces him at Deadline, and admits that he is pulling for Chase. After Trick mentions that Chase and Chase University have a connection with the fans, Ridge says he will take that, and says that if he wins, Chase University will be done as he walks into Deadline with a title shot while Chase has nothing. Ridge says that this is a big gamble for a man who has never won the big one, and when he asks Chase what he will do, Chase says "You're on," then says Ridge will get a Chase University-style ass whipping. Ridge punches Chase, Trick hits Ridge with an Uranage, then Chase and Trick hit Ridge with the Chase U stomps.

Backstage, Lexis King thanks Charlie Dempsey, but says people still do not believe he is trying to be a gentleman as he wants people to stop seeing him as a loose cannon. He says that he needs to win the Heritage Cup to see if he can get some respect, and while Dempsey is willing to give him that match, he tells Lexis he will not like the outcome. Wren Sinclair also tells Lexis King that he will need a cornerman for the match.

Backstage, Cedric Alexander and Je'Von Evans are met by Nathan Frazer and Axiom. When Nathan Frazer tells Je'Von Evans that he has time to become a champion, Je'Von takes this as a dig on his age and slaps him. Wes Lee, who has seen this, says that he has been where Je'Von is right now, then jokingly says he still has time, which irritates Je'Von.

We see a video package for Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia, where Vaquer talks about she has travelled the world and collected championships all over on her way to WWE while Giulia talks about how she became friends with Vaquer prior to entering NXT.

Backstage, it is revealed that Adrianna Rizzo has been attacked.

Oba Femi beats Luca Crusifino. After the match, Oba throws Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo out of the ring when he checks on Crusifino, then continues to attack Crusifino. Stacks soon fights back, but Oba still overpowers him. Oba pulls a toolbox and a table out from underneath the ring, but Tony D'Angelo shows up and brawls with him, and he too gets overpowered. Oba then pulls out some zipties and ties D'Angelo to the ring post. Stacks gets back to his feet, but Oba choke slams him through the table. Oba then clears off the announce table and pulls a ladder out from underneath the ring before placing it on both the apron and the announce table. From there, Oba powerbombs Crusifino through the ladder, smashing it in half as D'Angelo can only watch.

"All Ego" Ethan Page and Trick Williams head to the ring individually for a face-to-face meeting before Halloween Havoc. Trick says that he should have come to the ring and dropped Ethan like a mixtape, but she promised General Manager Ava no physicality until Sunday. He then says Ethan is "all ego" and also "all desperate." Ethan says he wanted Trick to think that, as he has been in the game for over seventeen years, but when he talks about his career, he often glosses over everything he had to go through to get here. He then says he and Trick have different paths, as he never had a Performance Center to cater to him and prepare him for a position in the top company, and that he had to go through hell to get where Trick is at. Trick says they both have their stories, but he will not let Ethan shame him because he is blessed. Ethan says Trick does not get it, and asks him if he had ever been taken to his physical limit and still had to get up and keep fighting. He also asks Trick if he has tasted his own blood enough times to eventually like the taste of it, then Trick says he is glad Ethan is used to it because he will bust him up again on Sunday. Ethan says Trick is "all flash and fake confidence," and that he hit him with a light to give him a taste of the Devil's Playground match, where anything goes and it only benefits him. Ethan says Trick looks nice right now, but he has the devil inside of him and not Trick, and that Trick is "not tough" and not built for the Devil's Playground. Ethan also tells Trick that all of Trick's previous opponents in NXT are not as savage as he is, and that on Sunday, Trick will see a version of him few have seen. Trick says Ethan is all talk and has done everything except beat him even when he was champion. After Trick says Sunday will be no difference, Ethan warns Trick that he is a desperate man and that it took him seventeen years to become a champion in WWE, and after he got a taste, he became addicted, and he will satiate that taste on Sunday. He says that they are entering the Devil's Playground, and for the first time in Trick's career, Trick will be made to go through hell as they play by the Devil's rules, which are also his. Trick says he looks forward to it.

Backstage, Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez talk about how Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have no chance at Halloween Havoc when Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Jasmyn Nyx) show up and agree with them before Jacy states that Kelani Jordan does not deserve to be champion. As Roxanne says the five of them have been the backbone of the NXT women's division, Kelani shows up and says that while that is true, they are stressing because they can feel it slipping through their fingers. When she asks who she will face on Sunday, Fallon says that when one has power, one does not just give it up, and Jacy says that the wheel will decide what their match is tonight.

Sol Ruca beats Karmen Petrovic. During the match, Ashante "Thee" Adonis is seen in the crowd with another woman, and when they leave at the end of the match, Sol Ruca hits a distracted Karmen with a Sol Snatcher.

Backstage, Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe chat with Nikkita Lyons. Tyson says he and Tyriek are waiting for their moment, but Nikkita says they need to take their moment. Oba Femi shows up with Nikkita's robe and tells her she dropped it, then leaves.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger beat OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) after Lola Vice attacks Jaida Parker on the outside and NASCAR driver Cole Custer hits Bronco Nima on the outside as the referee is distracted. After the match, Hank, Tank, Custer and Lola all celebrate in the ring.

Backstage, Nathan Frazer wants a match with Cedric Alexander and Je'Von Evans, much to Axiom's frustration, and gets it next week. Lexis King then shows up after they leave, and is looking for a cornerman, but finds out that nobody can be forced to be his cornerman, much to his disappointment.

We hear from Ridge Holland, who tells Andre Chase that he wore the Chase University colors proudly, then asks Chase how it feels from being in control to having none at all as his university falls apart around him. He then says he can now be the most dangerous man in NXT that everyone expected him to be, then says that Chase University will be finished for good at Halloween Havoc and that Andre Chase will be going for an ambulance ride.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Tony D'Angelo, who admits he does not know what is going on and that it is now personal between him and Oba Femi and that he will use everything to beat Oba Femi's ass at Halloween Havoc. He tells Oba Femi that he should have been careful what he wished for when he wanted him alone, because now he is going to get it.

Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia beat The Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley) after Roxanne Perez shows up to distract Giulia only for Kelani Jordan to show up and beat up Roxanne. After the match, Cora Jade and Roxanne stare down Giulia and Vaquer from the balcony as Kelani Jordan stares down The Fatal Influence (Jacy, Fallon, Jazmyn Nyx) from inside the ring. Jacy Jayne spins the wheel, which lands on Spinner's Choice. Before The Fatal Influence can make their choice, Zaria suddenly shows up.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for October 11, 2024

Jimmy Uso heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Jimmy says that he had been out of action for six months thanks to Solo Sikoa's Bloodline jumping him from behind, and tonight, it is big brother versus little brother, and he plans on kicking Solo's ass. Roman Reigns shows up and heads to the ring, and Jimmy hands him the microphone upon request. Roman says he usually likes to run things systematically, but he has decided to change things up tonight, and asks the fans to join him in acknowledging "Big Jim." He says he understands where Jimmy is coming from, but he is not an older brother or a wiseman - yet - as he does not understand the revenge or come up with the creative plans; he is a Tribal Chief and he takes what is his. He says that his Bloodline did just that for four years and that he called his shots and they delivered and had it all: the money, the power, the respect, the fear from others and the championships. Roman then says he does not like their position right now and that he does not like the lack of power or control, then says he meant it when he said he was best of all time, and when he steps in the arena, he wants everyone to know that "The Ones" are here. Jimmy says "But we not, though," to which the fans chant "Yes, you are!" Jimmy asks how when they stand in the ring and he sees a chief with no championship or ula fala, and that he came back at Bad Blood because Roman needed him. He says that Roman did not even ask him, and that he knows they need help as well as the one person they can get help from. The fans chant "Yeet!", but Roman says "No yeet." Jimmy says Roman will always be his Tribal Chief, but he is the only one in the family that still acknowledges him.

LA Knight retains the WWE United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes. Andrade shows up to watch from ringside during the match. After the match, Andrade mocks Carmelo for losing, telling him to "put the fries in the bag."

Backstage, Jimmy Uso meets with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, who thanks him for the help on Saturday. Jimmy tells Cody not to expect anymore help, then both acknowledge that the other is handling business well.

We see a vignette for Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, who want the women's tag titles around their waists.

Before the next match, Kevin Owens shows up despite not being told not to be here tonight, then says he turned on "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes because Cody turned on him. His microphone is cut as officials show up, then takes Corey's headset and further explains himself before Cody shows up. General Manager Nick Aldis shows up with security to keep both Cody and Owens separated, and Randy Orton shows up to reason with both Cody and Owens, but has to help security with Owens instead. Owens elbows Orton, and Orton responds by punching Owens in the face. Owens walks away through the crowd.

Trick Williams is seen in the front row. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven are seen at ringside.

Backstage, Randy Orton tells "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes to calm down and leave while he fixes things around here, and General Manager Nick Aldis tells Cody that he needs him focused for Gunther at Crown Jewel. Aldis thanks Orton for being the voice of reason.

Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton head to the ring. Nia says that as WWE Women's Champion, she has a very busy agenda, then gives credit to Bayley for putting up a hell of a fight at Bad Blood even though she ended up on her back all other worthy contenders. She says that nobody can beat her, not even Liv Morgan, and at Crown Jewel, she will annihilate Liv like she has everyone else, and when she becomes Women's Crown Jewel Champion, it's Tiffy Time. She says this after grabbing Tiffany around the neck, then says when that happens, Tiffany will cash in on Liv Morgan. Naomi shows up and says Nia Jax is only champion because Tiffany helped her again, and that Nia cannot win without her, even though she pinned Tiffany just like she pinned Nia. Nia reminds Naomi that it took her and Bayley to pin, and asks her if she needs a partner to beat her again. Naomi says she does not need anybody to beat her, and that she can beat her right here and right now. Nia then demands General Manager Nick Aldis to send a referee to the ring and make the match official. A referee shows up to make the match official, then Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio show up. Liv says they are here to embarrass Nia, then says they might as well watch Nia lose tonight just like she will lose at Crown Jewel. Nia shoves Naomi in anger before the show cuts to a commercial break.

Naomi beats Nia Jax after Raquel Rodriguez stops Tiffany Stratton from hitting Naomi with the Money In The Bank briefcase before distracting the referee so that Liv can hit Nia with the briefcase. After the match, Rhea Ripley shows up and attacks Raquel Rodriguez. Liv Morgan flees into the ring only to be grabbed by Nia, and Rhea boots Nia before attacking Liv. Dominik distracts Rhea so that Raquel can save Liv.

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes confronts Nick Aldis concerning Andrade's appearance at ringside during his match. Aldis makes a seventh match between Carmelo and Andrade, with the winner becoming number one contender for the United States title. Carmelo leaves after Aldis tells him not to miss, then Legado del Fantasma then shows up, and Santos Escobar says that Andrade and Carmelo seem to have a permanent spot as #1 contender. He then states that he is looking for opportunities for the rest of Legado del Fantasma (Elektra Lopez, Humberto, Garza). Aldis says that Los Garza has a match against a special team next week, and if they beat them, they will be worthy of a tag team title shot. Escobar is pleased as Legado del Fantasma leaves and says Aldis will not regret this, but after they leaves, Aldis says that Escobar might.

We hear from Solo Sikoa, who says that while Jimmy Uso might be his big brother, he is his Tribal Chief tonight, and he will acknowledge him.

We see another vignette with fast cards. This time, there is a rock band playing, and there is also graffiti. We then see the words "Next week."

Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis gets between #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), telling them both that they had their shot at the tag team titles and that he has a new team coming next week, but both teams only argue more loudly. All of a sudden, Nick Aldis notices an attack outside, and it ends up being Kevin Owens attacking Randy Orton, who Owens accusing of "picking sides." Aldis calls for security to get Owens out of the area before calling for medical help for Orton.

Solo Sikoa beats Jimmy Uso after Tama Tonga distracts the ref and Tonga Loa trips Jimmy off the top rope. After the match, Tama and Loa attack Jimmy, then Roman Reigns shows up and hits Jacob Fatu with a Superman Punch at the ramp before taking out Tama and Loa. Solo and Roman brawl, but Jacob quickly attacks Roman from behind. Roman is ganged up on by The Bloodline, and Solo hits Roman with the Samoan Spike to end the show. Jimmy tells Roman that they need help afterwards.

Meanwhile, two of Tony D'Angelo's associates try to meet with D'Angelo, but D'Angelo is too focused on the match tonight.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Jaida Parker. Jaida says that her journey has been whirlwind as of late and that she has her sights set on the NXT Women's Championship, and while she is a little sore, she is still ready for Roxanne Perez. She says that Roxanne is one of the best champions in NXT history, but she is not scared of the spotlight after competing in college soccer and she is "a WWE Superstar who used to play soccer," and that the cheers for her will get louder at No Mercy. Roxanne Perez shows up and forces Sarah Schreiber out of the interview to brag about how she ends everyone's stories in disappointment, then says Jaida has everything, but she is not "The Prodigy," and that there is no one better than her. Jaida threatens to slap the taste out of Roxanne's mouth, then actually does it. She then notices someone off camera and says they can get some too, then leaves. Roxanne then notices the person Jaida noticed, but we do not see them.

Zachary Wentz and Wes Lee show up for their face-to-face meeting. Security guards and referees have surrounded the ring before the commercial break. Zachary Wentz says other stables break up, but not The Rascalz, but Wes Lee tells him he is incredibly naive. Wes Lee says he is the bigger star and that Wentz is jealous of everything he has accomplished and is only back to get "the NXT rub." Wes Lee says that they are both on different levels, but Wentz says that no one is prouder of his accomplishments than he is. He says that MSK (Wentz and Wes Lee) was the best tag team in NXT, and while he messed it up, Wes Lee became a star while he became a man. He says that everything motivated him to come back, and Wes Lee admits that while he loves the motivation, the win would only be good for nostalgia. He says that it is not 2022 anymore. Wentz reminds Wes Lee that he was about to quit NXT for the third time when he and Trey showed up. Wentz tells Wes that he always had his back, but Wes Lee says that they are on different levels. Wentz says that Wes Lee has underestimated him despite him wishing Wes success, and now he hopes to fail at No Mercy. Wes tells Wentz to forget everything they have ever done, as he will remind Wentz why he is "a WWE Superstar" while Wentz is "a TNA wrestler," but Wentz says he will beat Wes Lee's ass.

Backstage, Joe Hendry thanks Trick Williams for the assist last week. Trick says that he believes in Joe Hendry, and Joe Hendry tells Trick Williams that when he beats "All Ego" Ethan Page for the NXT Championship, Trick will be his first challenger.

We see Hank Walker and Tank Walker at the Performance Center sneaking into the building to become the hosts of tonight's show. They try hacking a computer, pulling a plug on a server and dodging lasers before causing a power outage. They soon find the breaker, and after pulling the switch, the show begins.

The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson). After the match, "All Ego" Ethan Page shows up and makes fun of Meta-Four (Lash, Jakara, Oro Mensah) for coming up short, and hopes Lash and Jakara console Oro Mensah after his loss, as there will be no fluke victories. He then goes for a cheap shot with the NXT Championship, but Oro gets him in a schoolkid pin and Lash and Jakara make the "three count."

Wes Lee texts Nathan Frazer and Axiom for a tag team title shot.

Joe Hendry is in the ring for his first WWE concert. Hendry, knowing that the world believes, needs a song that he knows almost everyone will love. Hendry starts off with a performance of "I C Double Me And You" that is NXT-centric and allows him to poke fun at Booker T and Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang). Hendry then goes for an encore, but Gallus shows up before he can get started. Joe Coffey calls Hendry a flash in the pan, a one-hit wonder and a one-trick pony before threatening to deck him if he hears him sing again. Wendy Choo watches from nearby, even as Kelani looks at the dollhouse.

Backstage, Joe Hendry says it was not just the fans that were excited about tonight, as he was also excited about his first NXT concert. He says Gallus (Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang) had to ruin it and that they are driven by anger and jealousy with Joe Coffey at the wheel. Hendry says he is driven by proving that he belongs in NXT and that he can hang with the best in the world, and next week, he is kicking Joe Coffey's ass and forcing Gallus to believe in him.

Roxanne Perez retains the NXT Women's Championship against Thea Hail in a match that sees an exchange of submission holds until Roxanne Perez hits the Pop Rox out of the crossface to win and retain.
