Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for January 28, 2026

Kenny Omega beats Rocky Romero. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Kenny Omega. Omega admits he hates repeating himself, but he has not felt this good in years, and AEW is supposed to be the place where the best wrestle. He says that if he was not feeling like this, he would not claim a shot at the AEW World Championship. He says that regardless of who he has to go through, it is just business, and he will become AEW World Champion. Suddenly, "Hangman" Adam Page shows up and heads to the ring. Hangman says he would rather be fighting alongside Omega than with him, but if the World Championship is at stake, then so be it. He admits he made the mistake of looking past Samoa Joe at the prospect of defending against Omega, and he lost the title as a result. He says that this time is different, and with the amount of passion and respect that he has, he will be the next AEW World Champion, not anyone else. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana show up and head to the ring, and Swerve says he has come back for the AEW World Championship and that since his return, he has not been pinned or submitted. He claims to have just as much of a right to the AEW World Championship as Hangman and Omega, and that his mission remains the same: coming back and reclaiming the AEW World Championship, regardless of who he has to go thorugh to do it. Omega says he fancies himself at being pretty astute at reading the room, and as much as he and Hangman have their eyes on the World title, Swerve looks more like he is looking for a fight. Swerve chuckles and exclaims "More than you know," then Don Callis shows up and tells Swerve to enjoy his recent undefeated streak while he can before Andrade el Idolo beats him later tonight and breaks it. He also tells Omega that when Andrade beats Swerve, Andrade will be coming for him. Callis also tells Hangman that he also has something special for him, and that the three of them will understand that his family runs this show. Omega says that Callis is telling everyone what to be worried about, then tells Callis that he should have been worried about himself before chasing him to the back.

We see a vignette for Kris Statlander vs. "The Toxic Spider" Thekla for later tonight. As Statlander tells Thekla to "live short and die," Willow Nightingale says that if Julia Hart and Skye Blue stay out of tonight's match, she and Harley Cameron will put the women's tag titles on the line.

Jon Moxley beats Ace Austin in an AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match. After the match, "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita shows up and heads to the ring, and he and Moxley have a staredown in the middle of the ring as Takeshita makes it known he wants the Continental Championship. Moxley brings up Takeshita beating him in the Continental Classic as he stands his ground, then Takeshita leaves the ring only for Mark Davis and Jake Doyle to show up and ambush Moxley from behind.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Mark Briscoe retains the TNT Championship against El Clon after escaping the Portal Bomb. After the match, Briscoe says he is reigning and defending, not ducking and dodging, and that he likes the idea of an open challenge for the TNT Championship on Saturday to anyone except The Don Callis Family, who he admits he is tired of. When Briscoe throws down the challenge, it is answered by Tommaso Ciampa, who has just left WWE after eleven years. Ciampa circles around Briscoe before the two of them have a staredown, and Ciampa states that he is coming for the TNT Championship. He then kisses Briscoe on the cheek to mess with him before leaving and celebrating with the crowd.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. Okada tells Fletcher that he was not thinking regarding the screwdriver at Worlds End and that he also wanted Fletcher to win so that the Continental Classic could stay in the family. He tells Fletcher he did not mean to hurt him and apologizes. Fletcher admits he was angry and that it takes a big man to apologize, and accepts Okada's apology before shaking his hand.

MJF heads to the ring. Before MJF can get started, Brody King shows up, and when MJF says Brody is as deaf as he is big and stupid, Brody almost chases MJF out of the ring. Brody King stands in the corner to let MJF get back in the ring and speak, and MJF tells Brody that if he wants a shot at him, he needs to beat someone that matters, but instead, he is following him around like a lost puppy like he did Malakai Black. He also mentions Brody King following around Buddy Matthews before making fun of Buddy's ankle injury and mentioning Brody King's current partnership in Bandido, who he calls "a complete loser." MJF then says that Brody should follow him around, and that he can pay him handsomely since he is big, dangerous and talented. He admits they have to fix the aesthetic, as he has never met a liberal man who looks more like a Nazi. MJF says he will have Brody King looking good in a suit and a scarf, then calls Brody King's World title aspirations "cute" and "a dream" before telling him that to become World Champion, he needs to be a leader like him. He states that just like the fans, Brody King is nothing more than a follower. Brody says he does not need to follow anyone, and says that unlike MJF, he has friends. He also tells MJF that he has sat down with Tony Khan regarding an opponent who would be best for preparing for a title shot, and that they both agreed on MJF. Brody puts his hand on a confused MJF's shoulder and tells MJF to follow him, then says that they will have an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match, which he will win before facing him for the World Championship. MJF is mad at himself as Brody leaves.

We hear from The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), who talk about being money hungry before stating that it is time for going back to their old roots: tassels, superkicks and superkick parties. They state that the tag team division is on notice, starting in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kris Statlander retains the AEW Women's World Championship against "The Toxic Spider" Thekla. After the match, The Babes of Wrath show up to celebrate with Statlander before Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford show up at the top of the ramp.

Backstage, we hear from Don Callis, "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says that he has been in recruitment mode for some time, and now it is time for El Clon, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita to bring home gold. He then tells Takeshita to take Kyle's lead and forgive Okada, then says that Fletcher is synonymous with the TNT Championship and is waiting for whoever wins the title on Saturday. Callis then states that Mark Davis and Jake Doyle will be winning the tag team titles. Callis leaves, then Takeshita is mad at Fletcher for forgiving "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between "Jungle" Jack Perry and The Demand leading up to Jack Perry vs. Ricochet for the AEW National Championship. We then hear from Ricochet in footage from earlier today, who reveals that Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona have Jack Perry in their clutches. Ricochet joins in as Kaun and Toa Liona gang up on Jack Perry, who soon gets put through a table.

Stokely Hathaway guests on commentary for the next match.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) retains the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Don Callis Family (Mark Davis and Jake Doyle) after Daniel Garcia and Jon Moxley show up. Garcia distracts referee Paul Turner while Jon Moxley clocks Mark Davis with the Continental Championship.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Orange Cassidy. He says that he and Wheeler Yuta have been going back and forth for the last five years and that Wheeler is now unrecognizable when Wheeler Yuta shows up. "The Problem" Marina Shafir also shows up and grabs Orange Cassidy, but "Timeless" Toni Storm shows up, stops Shafir and challenges Wheeler and Shafir to a mixed tag team match.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Andrade el Idolo beats Swerve Strickland after grabbing at referee Aubrey Edwards in order to kick Swerve low and hit The DM. Andrade el Idolo will face Kenny Omega next week. Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MJF. MJF says that if Swerve thinks he can beat him for the AEW World Championship, he has another thing coming. Kenny Omega shows up and says he has one more week and one more win before he meets MJF at Revolution. MJF walks away as Omega offers to shake his hand, then runs into Andrade el Idolo, who makes it clear that he wants the AEW World Championship. MJF walks away again, this time to his ride out, and is stopped by "Hangman" Adam Page very briefly before MJF gets in and his ride speeds off.

As Grayson answers Oba's challenge, General Manager Ava shows up as Trick heads to the stage. Oba Femi then hits Trick with the Fall From Grace.

She then says that she will change the game again when she wins the match and picks a challenger for WrestleMania, then "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler shows up. Shayna says Charlotte is an incredible performer, but she will not hesitate to snap her like a twig limb from limb, and after she throws her over the top rope, she will not hesitate to challenge her and hope she is healed up in time. Sonya heads to the back and grabs a microphone to tell Naomi that she cannot put her in the Royal Rumble without a little surprise: she is entering the match as well.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). Jey says that just because they are banned from ringside, it does not mean that Roman Reigns will lose the Universal title. Suddenly, The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) show up. The Usos make fun of them, but they admit that they love a fast and command a very manly odor before stating they love their axes, which they pull out before saying they can trim a beard or cut a championship belt in half with them. The Usos leave.

It's time for In-Zayn. Tonight's guests are Jinder Mahal and Shanky. Sami says the show has been re-tooled thanks to stunts being dangerous and Johnny Knoxville, and that the segment is now a live podcast. Roman Reigns heads to the ring. After the commercial break, Seth Rollins heads to the ring. Seth brags that he played Roman like a fiddle last week and thanks him for doing the right thing and getting The Usos disqualified so their match can be one-on-one. Roman says it was a simple decision of letting Rollins embarrass the family by pinning The Usos or punching Rollins in the face, then says that he is in "God Mode" now. Seth then talks about how he cashed the Money In The Bank briefcase on him or beating Roman, sent him packing for thirty days after coming back from injury and turned on him to break up The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns). Roman calls the first two things "water under the bridge," but the third one visibly gets under Roman's skin, and Rollins says that when he put the chair in his back, he did it for his own good and knew it would rocket him to superstardom. Seth then says that Roman has done it all except beat him when it matters most, and tomorrow night, it will not be personal when he beats him for the Universal Championship, because he will always love him. Roman says he tried to forgive Seth for destroying The Shield, then says he will never forgive what Seth did to them and says that he hates him, and Rollins says he will hate him even more when he makes him and his family a joke and makes it all end up in smoke. Roman shoves Seth, and Seth laughs before Roman feigns walking away only to go for a Superman Punch. Seth ducks it, then prances away to end the show.

Total Bellas Island - Total Bellas recap for January 28, 2021

Brie moves to Napa Valley via airplane with Nikki, who will stay home in Los Angeles for the time being to sort things out with Artem.

Brie and Birdie meet with Bryan at the airplane in Napa Valley and move to their new home. Brie says that the new home - which she is seeing in person for the first time - is true to the pictures, and she hopes that Nikki is as lucky with her new home.

At Artem's house, Nikki gets a call from Brie. Nikki says she tried to set up a date with Artem, but it did not go so well as she came off as grumpy, and says that she did not mention what she is going through with Artem because he did not want to stress him out.

At Brie and Bryan's new house, Brie and Bryan talk about getting both of their families to live nearby. Bryan notes that this is nothing new, as Brie and Nikki usually do this.

At Artem's house, Artem returns from Dancing With The Stars. Nikki talks about getting things done and seeing Brie's new house, but Artem wants to stay in Los Angeles. Nikki mentions that she is always alone when Artem is out. Artem mentions that Nikki has yet to see her new house - which Nikki wants to be at for a few weeks - in person.

At Brie and Bryan's house, Nikki shows up to visit and check out the house as well as to get some time away from Los Angeles. Nikki notes she is tired, but Brie says they will be able to see each other every day soon enough.

Brie, Nikki and JJ spend time together in Napa Valley. Brie and Nikki try to get JJ to move to Napa, but JJ feels he cannot get a house in Napa. As for Kathy, JJ says that Kathy is "an Arizona girl." Nikki gets a call from Artem, and mentions that she has yet to see her new home. Nikki says she is sacred of having "buyer's remorse" and the house not being what she expected it to be.

Brie, Nikki and JJ see Nikki's new home in person for the first time. The three of them agree that the house looks ugly, and Nikki feels the house is worse than what she had in Phoenix.

Brie, Nikki and JJ go wine tasting. As JJ uses the bathroom, Brie and Nikki try to fool JJ into drinking breast milk, but JJ catches on. After Nikki tells Artem they made a mistake, Nikki finds a house that she feels would be perfect for Kathy, and everyone is impressed. As they check the house out, Kathy calls, but Kathy is not interested.

Brie and Nikki check out some grapes at the Hill Valley Estates Vineyard. Nikki tells Brie she has not talked with Artem yet, and says that she regrets trying to make Artem after he was cut from Dancing With The Stars and resents that he is happy and she is not. Nikki says she is exhausted, and has the feeling that she and Artem are not meant to be even though she wants to make it work. Brie is concerned, as she has never seen her sister in such a bad way. As Nikki leaves to feed Matteo, Brie feels Artem has yet to figure out what is going on, and calls Artem to tell him about the post-partum depression and why she has yet to tell him. Artem feels frustrated with himself because he did not see the signs that Nikki was depressed and does not want Nikki to feel like she is right now.

Brie, Nikki and JJ are spending time together when Artem sends a text message saying that if Nikki wants him to quit Dancing With The Stars, he can. Brie admits she told Artem about Nikki's post-partem depression, and Nikki gets upset at Brie for butting into her relationship, saying she wanted to tell Artem herself before walking off. JJ tells Brie that she should have let Nikki handle things on her own, given that she is in a fragile state.

At Nikki's hotel room, JJ shows up. He agrees that Brie overstepped her boundaries, then says Artem will understand if she tells him.

Brie and Nikki check out a potential wine tasting room. They apologize to each other over the call to Artem.

At Nikki's house, Artem suddenly shows up. Artem tells Nikki he did not quit the show, and decided to spend his day off to spend time with Nikki. Nikki tells Artem about her post-partum depression and having to spend time alone at home with Matteo, as well as resenting Artem for being happy while she is not. She says that she did not want to stress Artem out, but Artem tells Nikki she should have told him and that he will always put family first, and apologizes for making Nikki feel neglected.

Brie, Bryan and Birdie do some yoga. Bryan asks Brie if she will be okay while he is gone. Brie says she will be okay, and that she will not pressure anybody in the family to move to Napa.

Four weeks later at Brie and Bryan's house, Nikki and Artem show up with the Dancing With The Stars mirrorball trophy. Brie looks back on the journeys that she, Nikki, Kathy and Artem went through throughout the season. Nikki announces she and Artem will get married around Thanksgiving 2021. Brie and Nikki then look back from becoming professional wrestlers to becoming businesspeople and mothers as the sixth season of the show comes to a close.

Rollins shows up and immediately has a staredown with Lesnar. Rollins then brawls with Lesnar, who soon responds with an F5 that lays out Rollins. Lesnar then picks Rollins back up for a second F5, followed by a third, a fourth and a fifth, with the fifth directly on the WWE Universal Championship. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens make fun of the potential questions they will have to answer under the #AskSamiKO hashtag inside the Social Media Lounge in the locker room.

Alexa Bliss is interviewed at the kick-off panel. She says that she cannot tell if people are in awe of her or are eyeing the Raw Women's Championship. She does not care who her WrestleMania opponent is, but she would prefer Nia Jax or Asuka; the former for a dream match and the latter so she can be prepared for the return match. She says there is a reason why she is the goddess of WWE, and regardless of who her opponent is, it will be their honor to lose to her at WrestleMania.

In the locker room, Jason Jordan meets up with Seth Rollins. Jordan tells Seth it is an honor to be his partner, and that his father, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle, knew what he was doing. He says that together, they will break Sheamus and Cesaro once and for all. Suddenly, Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin show up, and Chad Gable calls Jason Jordan a "daddy's boy." It ends up being a joke statement, and Jordan, Gable and Benjamin catch up on things as Seth Rollins leave the locker room. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn answer fan questions on Twitter from the locker room instead of the Social Media Lounge, where they make fun of some fan questions for misspellings. If either of them get the pinfall, they will be WWE co-champions. When asked if they have "a straightly" for tonight, they do not have one. They have a strategy, but they will not reveal it in front of anybody right now, much less "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Throughout the Q&A session, Kevin and Sami - along with Jerry "The King" Lawler - make fun of Peter Rosenburg, whom Kevin and Sami refuse to answer questions from. It is also mentioned that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship will be the first match on the main card, and Kevin Owens looks at some tweets from Quebec before speaking in French.

She says she would have loved to have been in a women's Royal Rumble match during her career, and thanks the women of not only before and during her time but also the women of today for breaking the glass ceiling and making this possible. She would like to get in the ring with Asuka and break her streak if she could. As for who she thinks she will win the women's Royal Rumble Match, she thinks Nia Jax has a chance of winning. During the interview, she and JBL yell at each other due to Alundra Blayze taking so long to answer.

We look back at the 1998 Royal Rumble Match.

Bobby Roode shows up. Roode says that tonight is all about the numbers, as we are going from 30 down to one. He then issues an open challenge for the United States Championship, and it is answered by Mojo Rawley.

He does not know who will win the men's Royal Rumble Match, and says that it was everyone in the ring that made his 1992 Royal Rumble win so special. He says that the Royal Rumble match is a special opportunity for anyone who gets into the match. As for tonight's main event between Braun Strowman, Kane and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship, he loves what all three men have been doing in the ring, but admits he would never want to be on the bad side of Brock Lesnar, whom he predicts will win.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler guests on commentary for the next match.

#14 "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura last eliminates #28 Roman Reigns to win the 2018 men's Royal Rumble. After the match, Renee Young interviews Nakamura, who simply shouts "AJ Styles!" when asked who he wants to face at WrestleMania 34.

During the match:

Baron Corbin is the first person to eliminate someone by eliminating Rhyno, but he is soon tossed out by Finn Balor. He drags Balor out through the bottom rope and throws him into the barricade, then drags Rusev out from under the bottom rope and hits him with End of Days. Referees and officials have to force Corbin to the back, and Heath Slater shows up as this is going on. When this happens, Corbin lays Slater out on the ramp, and Slater is hilariously kept from entering the ring by subsequent entrants into the men's Royal Rumble Match. When Sheamus shows up at #11, Slater finally gets in the ring and eliminates Sheamus in record time with a single clothesline.

Elias shows up at #6. He plays guitar on the way to the ring, then performs in the ring. He performs until the #7 entrant - the NXT Champion, Andrade "Cien" Almas - shows up. He gets eliminated by John Cena.

NXT continued to bring in new entries. Andrade "Cien" Almas entered at #7, and Adam Cole entered at #23. Almas is eliminated after nearly 29 minutes after falling - both figuratively and literally - into an RKO by Randy Orton, and Adam Cole is eliminated by surprise entrant Rey Mysterio.

"The Perfect Ten" Tye Dillinger almost enters at #10, but he is attacked by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, the latter of whom inserts himself into the match. He gets eliminated by "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura.

Kofi Kingston is saved when one foot hits the floor and the other lands on Xavier Woods when he is tossed out by Jinder Mahal. Big E puts a plate of pancakes on the floor, and Big E keeps one floor on that. Kofi then hops around one on one foot a la Jerry "The King" Lawler, but Jinder Mahal keeps him from re-entering. Big E and Xavier Woods have to launch him back into the ring, where he eliminated Jinder before being eliminated by Andrade "Cien" Almas.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt eliminate each other.

The Hurricane makes a guest appearance at #21, but he gets eliminated by John Cena when attempting the choke slam spot again. He almost slips on The New Day's (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) pancakes on the way out.

Rey Mysterio makes a surprise appearance at #27, his first WWE appearance since the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 30, and almost immediately eliminates Adam Cole. He is eliminated by Finn Balor and denied a spot in the final four.

Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns work together to eliminate The Miz with a double-team powerbomb into Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel at ringside. Roman then tosses Seth out of the ring.

Dolph Ziggler makes a surprise appearance at #30, his first since abdicating the WWE United States Championship and supposedly leaving the WWE. He gets eliminated by Finn Balor after "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura almost tosses Ziggler over the top rope.

Royal Rumble 2019 is coming to Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona on January 27, 2019!

SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon are seen celebrating near Raw General Manager Kurt Angle and Commissioner Shane McMahon. Stephanie and Angle say the rest of the night is going to be incredible. Stephanie says that tonight is about making history, and that they will all be surprised tonight.

We see highlights from the "KFC Colonel Rumble," which is won by "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

Sheamus and Cesaro beat Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan to win the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships for the fourth time. Early in the match, Jason Jordan is thrown hard into the ring post, and it takes so much out of Jason Jordan that Seth Rollins has to fight the whole match on his own. When Jason Jordan is able to get back into the match, he cannot even go, and he has to tag Seth back in. It proves too much for Seth, who has no idea what is going on before he gets pinned.

Brock Lesnar rertains the WWE Universal Championship against Kane and Braun Strowman in a destructive Triple Threat Match.

Elimination Chamber is coming to WWE Network and pay-per-view on February 25th.

Maria Menounos is the special guest ring announcer and Raw Commissioner/WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon the special guest commentary for the next match. Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss and SmackDown Women's Champion sit at ringside to watch the next match.

#25 Asuka last eliminates #27 Nikki Bella to win the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble. After the match, she is met by Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss and SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair. Suddenly, MMA fighter Ronda Rousey suddenly shows up to "Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and points at the WrestleMania sign. She then tries to shake hands with Asuka. Asuka swats her hand away, then Rousey points at the sign again before heading to the commentary table to shake hands with WWE CBO/Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. She then leaves. Before the show goes off the air, Michael Cole announces that there is breaking news concerning Ronda Rousey on social media. That breaking news is a report by ESPN's SportsCenter that Ronda Rousey has signed a full-time contract with WWE.

During the match:

A lot of past female Superstars are seen in the match. Lita makes a surprise appearance at #5. She eliminates Mandy Rose and Tamina, but is eliminated by Becky Lynch after she eliminates Tamina. Torrie Wilson enters at #9, and eliminates Dana Brooke, but is eliminated by Sonya Deville. Molly Holly enters at #12 and eliminates Sarah Logan, but is eliminated by Michelle McCool. Michelle McCool enters at #14 and gets four eliminations, but is eliminated by Natalya. Vickie Guerrero shows up at #16 and screams at everyone with a microphone, screaming "Excuse me!", but she is eliminated by everyone else in the ring almost immediately. When Carmella shows up afterwards, Vickie attacks her with the Money In The Bank briefcase out of spite. Kelly Kelly shows up at #18, but is eliminated by Nia Jax. Jacqueline appears at #21, but is also eliminated by Nia Jax. Beth Phoenix shows up at #24, but she is slapped by Natalya and tossed out by her during their brief reunion. Trish Stratus shows up at #30, and not only eliminates Mickie James and Natalya, she is part of the effort to eliminate Nia Jax successfully. She is eliminated by Sasha Banks.

Naomi is tossed out by Nia Jax, but she lands on the barricade, not the floor. She walks on the barricade like a tightrope, then uses a chair that special guest ring announcer Maria Menounos is sitting in to walk on her hands to the steel steps, which she firmly plants her feet on. She gets back in the ring only to be tossed over the top rope and onto the floor by Nia Jax.

NXT also sees an entry. Ember Moon shows up at #23, despite a banged-up arm from last night's match against "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, but she is eliminated by Asuka after Asuka uses her hurt left arm against her.

Brie Bella returns to the ring for the first time in a few years at #28. She is eliminated after being forearmed off the apron by her sister Nikki Bella near the end.
