Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 12, 2026

Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley head to the ring to start tonight's show. Rhea announces that they have put The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) and are now the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" before Iyo stating that The Kabuki Warriors have no respect until she and Rhea beat it into them, then says that nobody is ready for "Rhiyo." As Rhea throws down a challenge to any women's tag team that wants to step up, Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez show up to congratulate Rhea and Iyo before Liv declares that the Women's Tag Team Championships still belong to her and that she lost them. She demands that Rhea and Iyo give the titles back or else she will take them back. Suddenly, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria appear and head to the ring. Bayley welcomes Rhea and Iyo back to Raw and says that while Liv did not lose the women's tag titles, Roxanne did, and since she beat Roxanne a few weeks ago, she and Lyra deserve a women's tag team title shot. Rhea is okay with that after throwing down a challenge, then Iyo says "I've got this" and chews out the two others in Japanese until The Kabuki Warriors suddenly show up, pull Rhea and Iyo out of the ring, and brawl with the other two teams. Rhea and Iyo get back in the ring and soon send everyone else packing.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Styles says that when he got into the business, he learned it was all about respect for the ring, the opponent and those who came before. He admits that he and John Cena were not always on the same page, but they bonded over respect, and Gunther has disrespected Cena. He says he slapped the taste out of Gunther's mouth because Cena could not, then proclaims that he will teach Gunther learn about respect and make it a hill worthy dying on before promising to make Gunther tap out like a little bitch.

Backstage, Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez run into Finn Balor being pre-occupied with WWE 2K25. Liv says she and Roxanne are no longer waiting for a title shot, then says it is time to stop playing games. Liv leaves, then Roxanne says that Liv has a point before following suit.

Je'Von Evans beats Bravo Americano. After the match, Rayo Americano gets on the apron, and when Je'Von goes after him, El Grande Americano pulls Je'Von out of the way and tosses him over the announce table. Je'Von soon stands up on the announce table, jumps over all three Americanos, and makes a beeline to the entranceway.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce speaks with a referee before Paul Heyman shows up. Pearce wants Heyman to tell Bron Breakker that he is not in the mood for whatever he has planned. Heyman says he will let Breakker know if Breakker shows up with bad intentions.

CM Punk heads to the ring. Punk tells the fans that he will never tire of being World Heavyweight Champion and plans to hold the title forever, but this is the long road to WrestleMania and anything can happen, if "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is any indication. He says that just because he plans to be champion forever does not mean it will happen, but with the fans on his side, it feels possible. Punk says he promised to be a fighting champion, and with the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber on the horizon, the road to WrestleMania goes through him. He talks about his battle last week with Bron Breakker and says it is time for the champ to "do champ stuff" and find out who his next challenger is now that The Vision ("The Oracle" Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, "Big" Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) is in his rear view mirror. All of a sudden, Finn Balor shows up and heads to the ring, and tells Punk that he is not waiting for the Royal Rumble or the Elimination Chamber before reminding Punk that he listed him as one of the people he wanted to face. Punk says Finn is correct, but wants to know where Finn's ambition is, as he has helped everyone but himself and has been playing video games in the back. Punk wants to know if he will be facing Finn Balor or "Finn Balor from The Judgment Day" (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez) before telling Finn that he is a man of his word and that they will do this tonight. Finn says that he has been around long enough to know that time ends everything, then says that he is not jumping the line because the line starts with him. He tells Punk not to worry about The Judgment Day, but that he will not be alone, as he has watched Punk's career and watched him claim hometown advantage in Chicago, Illinois. He says that next week's show is in Belfast, Northern Ireland and that WWE will have an Irish world champion. Punk apologizes to the fans in Dusseldorf, Germany for Finn disappointing them when they wanted to see the champ work, then apologizes in advance to the fans in Belfast when he puts one of their countrymen to sleep with a GTS and remains World Heavyweight Champion.

The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez) beats The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) and the team of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become #1 contenders for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

We hear from Becky Lynch. She says it has only been one week since she took her title back, yet Maxxine Dupri has gotten a rematch in one week for the title that took her two months to reclaim. She says that AJ Lee and referee Jessica Carr screwed her out of the Women's Intercontinental Championship and calls it part of the corruption that is allowed under "Powerhouse Pearce." Becky says she will do what she always does and turn lemons into lemonade, because next week in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she will prove that she is the best. She hopes that Maxxine Dupri has enjoyed her time in the spotlight, because next week, it ends, and Maxxine will say goodbye to the big time.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Alpha Academy (Maxxine Dupri, Otis, Akira Tozawa). Maxxine admits she is disappointed to lose the Women's Intercontinental Championship , but being champion proved that she belonged. Maxxine says that she learned how to believe in herself in order to become champion and that it is time that Otis and Tozawa do the same before calling what happened last week "a setback" and not a defeat, and while she is fully aware that Becky Lynch is the greatest of all time, she had to cheat to beat her. Next week, she will break Becky's ankle in an ankle lock.

Michael Cole interviews Raquel Rodriguez on the stage. Raquel says that she was screwed out of the Women's World Championship, yet everyone wants to feel sorry for Stephanie Vaquer. Raquel states that she will not stop until she gets Vaquer in the ring, and when she stands tall as Women's World Champion, then everyone can feel sorry for Vaquer. Stephanie Vaquer shows up with mulitple officials trying to beg her off, and Raquel Rodriguez heads to the back. As Vaquer says that her injury will not stop her and dares anyone to face her, Raquel suddenly rushes back to Vaquer and attacks her.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso in the phone with Jimmy Uso when Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) show up wanting a piece of Jimmy and Jey for the World Tag Team Championships. Jey says he and Jimmy will talk and see what happens, but warns Alpha Academy that they are stepping with the best tag team in the game.

Penta and Dragon Lee beat The Vision ("Big" Bronson Reed and Austin Theory) by disqualificaton after Dragon Lee is suddenly speared by Bron Breakker on the outside in full view of the referee. After the match, a vicious Breakker hits Penta with another Spear in the ring. When Breakker goes for another Spear on Dragon Lee on the outside, General Manager Adam Pearce shows up and stops Bron Breakker, telling him that this is not happening tonight. As this goes on, "Big" Bronson Reed hits Penta with a Tsunami. Pearce chews out Bronson, but that allows Breakker to hit another Spear on Penta. Pearce chews out Breakker again after forcefully turning him around, and this time, Breakker grabs Pearce and forces him into the corner, and the rest of The Vision have to hold Breakker back as Breakker dares Pearce to do something. At this point, Pearce wants Breakker gone.

Backstage, Je'Von Evans meets with Penta and Dragon Lee at medical and asks them to tell him if they need anything.

Backstage, an angry General Manager Adam Pearce indefinitely suspends Bron Breakker for putting his hands on him. "Big" Bronson Reed has to physically seperate Breakker from Pearce. "The Oracle" Paul Heyman shows up tells Pearce this was a mistake, as Pearce put his hands on Breakker first.

We see WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque going through celebrity WrestleMania pitches only to immediately regret it.

We see a vignette for Oba Femi.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Gunther, who calls "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles disrespectful for slapping him in the face for something he had no involvement in, especially after he made John Cena tap out like a little bitch. He says that if he could make Cena tap out, then Styles should be worried about what will happen to him after the bell rings.

Gunther beats "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. During the match, Styles feels Gunther tap his hand on his left hip as he has him in the Calf Crusher, and Styles is convinced that he has won by submission even though referee Rod Zapata did not see Gunther tap out. As the referee tells the timekeeper that the match is continuing, Gunther hits Styles with a low blow before powerbombing him for the pin and the win.

Homecoming - Rampage recap for January 12, 2024

Eddie Kingston retains the AEW Continental Crown Championship against Wheeler Yuta.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Mark Briscoe and The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy). Mark Briscoe says their partnership has sent reverberations around the globe and that they have kicked ass and taken names and that they are not done. Jeff Hardy says that they are bringing the ratings, and Matt says that while he and Jeff want to be tag champs, they see trios gold with Mark Briscoe after he brought it to them like no one else. Matt says they were meant to be a trio and makes Mark a honorary Hardy.

Swerve Strickland beats Matt Sydal.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti. They are soon interrupted by Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy), and Isiah Kassidy challenges two of them to a tag team match. They accept, then Action Andretti drinks a whole bottle of water in seconds.

Hikaru Shida beats Queen Aminata.

We see a video package of The House of Black (Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) on last week's Collision.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Saraya and Ruby Soho. Saraya shows footage of Harley Cameron with "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker where Harley and Angelo kiss on the lips. Angelo shows up with a cake, but Ruby presses it into Angelo's face and tells him to go to hell. Saraya tells Angelo that he always wins, then Angelo sees the footage and says it is now that it looks like, and we see the rest of the footage where it appears that neither party liked the kiss. When Angelo heads to the ring for the next match, his head is still covered in cake.

The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, Alex Reynolds) beat "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard and Jake Hager in a trios match after -1 gets Jake Hager's hat.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for January 12, 2024

Grayson Waller and Austin Theory head to the ring, but they are scared off by Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso. Paul Heyman says "that James Bond wanna-be" General Manager Nick Aldis is the bad guy for putting Roman Reigns in a Fatal 4-Way for the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, not him, Solo, Jimmy or Roman. Nick Aldis takes the microphone from Heyman and tells him that the Fatal 4-Way match is a done deal and that after having ruined more than enough, The Bloodline cannot ruin the main event tonight because they are in it. Aldis then declares that tonight, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton will face all three members of The Bloodline, much to Heyman's chagrin. Heyman tries to take the microphone from Aldis, but Aldis refuses, and Heyman tells Aldis that he knows as well as he does that Roman is here tonight. Aldis says Roman has started something he refuses to finish, and if Jimmy and Solo cannot find a third man, the match will be three-on-two.

We hear from Santos Escobar, who says that the weak will be consumed by the strong. Angel says they will tell the LWO to step back, not out of fear, but out of pity. Humberto says they will go far to uphold honor and tradition. Escobar says that whatever their prey does, their code will prevail.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso tells Solo Sikoa that nobody will team with them. Paul Heyman says there is a locker room full of people trying to "kiss [his] tuckus" trying to get in The Bloodline and that he should not worry. Jimmy says he is worried, but Solo says he is never worried.

Santos Escobar guests on commentary for the next match.

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo (now known as just Angel and Humberto) beat The Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) after Angel grabs the bottom rope for leverage on a pinfall attempt after Carlito shows up and attacks Escobar from behind and brawls with him through the crowd to the back.

Backstage, General Manager Nick Aldis tells Carmelo Hayes that he impressed a lot of people, including him, when Grayson Waller and Austin Theory interrupts. Carmelo challenges Grayson to a match, but Grayson has Theory wrestle in his place, and Aldis makes the match official.

Backstage, Paul Heyman meets with Carlito as he is with The Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Zelina Vega) and tries to sell him on teaming with The Bloodline later tonight as he shines an apple. Carlito says he is more interested in fighting Santos Escobar, then takes the apple.

We hear from Logan Paul, who calls the cast on Kevin Owens' hand a liability for their match at Royal Rumble, and that he will beat him in the court of law if he shows up with it. He wants Owens to face him in a fair fight, and that their match will be cancelled if he shows up with his cast.

In footage from earlier today, Tyler Bate meets with Butch in a coffee house. Butch says he can handle himself, but Tyler says he knows Butch enjoyed being part of a tag team with him. Butch says they were one and done, but Tyler says this is their chance to show the world they are made of, and that Butch needs to look inside himself and realize who he is.

Bianca Belair beats Bayley. At one point near the end of the match, Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane) have the opportunity to attack Bianca on the outside as Bayley fakes a knee injury, but ultimately choose not to (and still get yelled at by the referee).

We hear from Kevin Owens, who says he knows what Logan Paul is doing and that they both know that he has a broken hand and that it is not going to stop him from having their match. He proposes they have a face-to-face meeting on The Kevin Owens Show next week.

Backstage, Dakota Kai tells Bayley that they could not do anything with the referee staring at them, and that they counted on Bayley to win on her own. She also tells Bayley that she still has a chance to win the women's Royal Rumble.

Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) head to the ring. Lashley tells Karrion Kross that his recent actions got him in a fight that he cannot win, and that he and The Street Profits handle their business in the ring and get ready to fight. He then calls out Karrion Kross and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) out to the ring. Paul Ellering then shows up and points to the TitanTron. Kross shows up and tells Lashley that he and The Street Profits are the next to be deconstructed by The Authors. Kross also calls the faction of himself, Scarlett, Ellering and The Authors of Pain "The Final Testament."

Backstage, Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) meet with Paul Heyman on the subject of teaming with The Bloodline tonight. Heyman reminds them that only one of them will be on the team, however, and Pretty Deadly soon hurriedly leave.

We see a video package for Carmelo Hayes.

Backstage, Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) are met by Paul Heyman, asking Lashley to take out his aggression on AJ Styles, LA Knight and Randy Orton. Lashley says he would rather stand across from The Bloodline - and Roman Reigns - than team with them.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Austin Theory ends when both men land on their heads as Theory hits Carmelo with a Spanish Fly out of the corner.

Backstage, Jimmy Uso asks Paul Heyman who his and Solo's tag team partner. Heyman says he has interviewed people, yet nobody wants to team with them. He then says he has full faith in the two of them. Jimmy says he is worried, but Solo says he is not. Solo leaves, then Jimmy says if Solo is not worried, then neither is he.

Before the next match, The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) attacks Randy Orton as Orton heads to the ring.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and LA Knight beat The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa). During the match, Randy Orton shows up after LA Knight is taken down by Jimmy Uso, and he helps AJ Styles - who initially thinks that Knight screwed him over when he saw Solo try to keep him from tagging him in and sent him into the ring steps - get the win. After the match, Solo Sikoa attacks Randy Orton, but Styles hits Solo with a Phenomenal Forearm. LA Knight gets in the ring and hits Solo with a BFT, then Randy Orton gets up and hits Solo with an RKO before he, Styles and Knight look at Jimmy Uso. The three of them then lay out Jimmy Uso and throw him into the timekeeper's area before putting Solo Sikoa through the announce table with a three-man powerbomb. Paul Heyman then calls Roman Reigns as the show ends.

Shera and Raj Singh beat Johnny Swinger and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice in the BTI match.

The show starts with Josh Mathews interviewing Bully Ray and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander via Zoom. It is announced that Scott D'Amore will be out indefinitely. Alexander says what happened to D'Amore is more of the same from Bully Ray. He says there is no limit to what Bully Ray will do and that he will do anything. Bully Ray says that he is in Josh Alexander's head, but Alexander tells Bully that will not give him the advantage. Bully says that he can tell by looking at Alexander that he is in his head and that he does have the advantage, and that Alexander played into his hand. He then says that Alexander will have to beat him at his own game in Full Metal Mayhem. He then admits that he cannot wrestle Alexander for 60 minutes and says that Alexander should have kept their match a regular wrestling match, but Alexander has less of a chance because he did not. Alexander says that while he can wrestle Bully Ray, tomorrow night will be the fight of his life, and he has endured every single kind of pain to stay World Champion. Bully Ray says Alexander will deal pain and do things to Alexander that he has never felt before. Bully Ray then says that he will be three-time world champion. Alexander then says that tomorrow night, the talk is over, and everyone will see who will walk out world champion.

Heath beats Brian Myers.

We hear from Ace Austin and Chris Bey. Austin says they are back home in Impact Wrestling after doing well in New Japan's Super Juniors Tag League, and that they are now in tag team title contention.

Backstage, Jessicka tells Rosemary that Taya Valkyrie has been attacked. When they find Taya, Taya says that there were four people who attacked her, then tells Rosemary to take her place in the next match.

Savannah Evans beats Rosemary following the distraction by Jai Vidal, Tasha Steelz and "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw. After the match, Tasha Steelz, Savannah Evans, Jai Vidal and Gisele Shaw attack Rosemary, and when Jessicka tries to make the save, she also gets attacked.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Rhino vs. Moose in a no-disqualification match at Hard To Kill 2020.

We hear from Taylor Wilde, who calls upon the elements as she says that she will rise.

We see a video package chronicling Mickie James' "Last Rodeo" up to her Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Championship match against Jordynne Grace at Hard To Kill.

The Design (Deaner, Angels, Kon) head to the ring. Deaner says that Sami Callihan wants to join The Design, but in order for that to happen, he must go through a process that starts now and involves shaving the hair off of his head. He then tells Sami to come to the ring and take the first step in the process right now, then the light goes out. Sami is in the ring when they come back on. Deaner tells Sami that the first step is to lose his identity, and orders him to give his baseball bat to Kon. Sami points the bat to Kon, who then takes it. Deaner says this was the right choice, then tells him the story of Samson's strength. He says that the source of Samson's power was in his hair, and when he lost his hair, he lost his power and became weak. When Deaner asks Sami if he is willing to become weak, Sami asks if they are to break themselves down to become stronger. Deaner says this is a right answer, and says that he must see this long, arduous and violent process to the end. When he asks Sami if he is willing to see this through to the end, Sami asks Deaner if he is going to talk forever or cut his hair. Sami sits in the chair, and Angels cuts his hair. Deaner says that with every cut, Sami is realizing that he does not need to listen to the people because they do not care about him, never have cared and never will care. Deaner then takes a razor and tells him that this is the right choice before putting it to his hair. Sami then takes Deaner's arm, takes the razor, then cuts the hair himself. Deaner says Sami is beginning to understand, then tells him to stop listening to the people and to start listening to himself and the right choices in his head as Sami continues to cut. Deaner then tells Sami to make the next right choice and look in the mirror to see what he has become. Sami looks, then smacks the mirror on his head, picks up the scissors and hands them to Deaner. Deaner proclaims this "the death of the Death Machine" and "the birth of Callihan."

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Gail Kim, who says she has too much on her place and that Anthem has found the perfect fill-in for Scott D'Amore, and that this fill-in will be revealed at Hard To Kill.

"Speedball" Mike Bailey beats "The Alternative" Anthony Greene.

We see a video package for Bully Ray vs. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at Hard To Kill.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry says Friday the 13th may be bad luck, but against Moose and "his two back-up dancers," one cannot help but believe in him and his tag team partners.

Moose, Eddie Edwards and Steve Maclin beat Rich Swann, Jonathan Gresham and Joe Hendry in a six-man tag match, giving Hendry his first loss since his return last year. After the match, only Eddie Edwards is still in the ring. Afterwards, the lights go dark and start flashing as lightning can be heard.

Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for January 12, 2022

Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly head to the ring to start tonight's show. Cole says 2021 was a great year for the three of them and that 2022 will be even better, as he had not been beaten since he showed up in AEW and he, Fish and O'Reilly are all back together. He says that it is a new era in AEW, but before he can say much else, The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler show up. Kyle O'Reilly takes offense to their getting involved in their matches, and Matt Jackson says they will play nice before saying it is their company. Matt says they plan on getting the AEW tag team titles back, but Fish says he and O'Reilly want them too, and that nobody - not even the Bucks - will stand in their way. Cole likes this, seeing this as a possibility for friendly competition and to prove that they are the best. As he talks about how they beat Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Barretta, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta) and how Best Friends is a joke, Best Friends show up. Cole asks Orange what he could possibly say that is of any importance whatsoever, and Orange lets his actions do the talking by hitting Cole with a double leg takedown, starting a brawl. Best Friends gets the upper hand, but after Cole hits Orange with a low blow, Kris Statlander shows up and confronts Adam Cole only to be attacked from behind by Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., and Orange is soon laid out like the rest of Best Friends by Cole. Cole and Baker then share a kiss in the middle of the ring in front of a downed Orange Cassidy.

We see a vignette for Wardlow where Wardlow presented as a maestro of symphonies of destruction.

We see a sneak peak of tomorrow's episode of Go-Big Show, where somebody solves a Rubik's Cube while covered in Vaseline and set on fire.

CM Punk beats Wardlow with an inside cradle despite the amount of punishment dealt to him by Wardlow, which includes a powerbomb through the timekeeper's table. After the match, MJF chews out Wardlow and pokes his finger into Wardlow's chest. Wardlow grabs MJF's hand, and Shawn Spears has to stop Wardlow. Wardlow heads to the back with Spears and MJF following while referee Aubrey Edwards checks on CM Punk.

Dante Martin beats Powerhouse Hobbs after Jay Lethal shows up and pulls "Absolute" Ricky Starks off the ring apron to keep him from interfering in the match.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Inner Circle. Jericho calls it an honor to be called 2021 Faction of the Year by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, as their mission statement of dominating AEW and be the biggest band of blood brothers in the business has never wavered. He says that if 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) want to get involved in Sammy Guevara. Suddenly, Eddie Kingston says he does not care about Sammy's match and that he wants Garcia due to what he did to his knee, then says there is a reason Santana and Ortiz are not tag team champions. Jericho and Kingston argue, with Jericho saying The Inner Circle is family. Santana shows up and says "Let's get this shit together," and he leaves with Ortiz and Jake Hager. MJF suddenly shows up and says CM Punk got powerbombed to oblivion and got a fluke victory against Wardlow tonight, then says he will make sure that CM Punk takes his first loss in AEW when he finally gives the match the fans want to see: Punk vs. Shawn Spears.

We hear from The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly. Cole says they have beaten Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Barretta, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta, Kris Statlander) over and over to the point that it has gotten silly, then says Kris Statlander is no longer safe thanks to Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., who shows up. Britt Baker challenges Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy to a mixed tag team match against herself and Adam Cole next week.

"Hangman" Adam Page heads to the ring. He says that in the past two months, he has spent 90 minutes in the ring with some of the best in the world and given enough sweat and blood to float a battleship for the AEW World Championship, which is still his. He then says 90 minutes is not enough, and since it is a new year and the records have reset, he needs a new challenger. Suddenly, Dan Lambert and says Adam Page reminds him of some of the wrestling cowboys he saw as a kid. Adam Page says that if Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page want a shot at the title, they can tell him themselves and not through him, but Lambert says he is here to compliment him on his recent matches and how he earned the World title. He then says that the only thing that Adam Page has not earned is his cowboy gimmick, and tells Page to keep the title, the money and the adulation and to stop disrespecting the legacy of cowboys before him, saying that to do so means he is full of "cowboy shit." Adam Page says the sacrifices he has made and growing up on a farm is "cowboy shit," then tells Lambert to get in the ring so he can show him who the real cowboy is. Suddenly, Lance Archer shows up with a chair. Lambert runs into the ring, and Lance Archer grabs Lambert before attacking Adam Page and putting him through the chair with the Blackout.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Arn Anderson, Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson. He says Brock and Lee that this is "Horseman Country," and Tully Blanchard shows up with FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and says that if he wants to relive it, they should join them. FTR challenges Brock and Lee to a match next week. They accept, and Arn and Tully shake hands.

We see a video package of Jade Cargill winning the TBS Women's Championship. "Smart" Mark Sterling says this is more money at the pay window, and Jade says she did everything she said she was going to do.

Serena Deeb beats Hikaru Shida by referee stoppage after attacking Shida's left knee before and during the match. After the match, Serena Deeb scares the referee and the doctor out of the ring with the kendo stick before whacking the left knee with Shida's kendo stick. Two more referees have to restrain Serena Deeb and force her to the back. More members of the women's division show up to check on Shida as Serena says she did everything she said she would do.

Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage and Jungle Express. Christian tells Rey Fenix to get well soon, and Jungle Boy says they look forward to challenging any of the top five teams. John Silver and Alex Reynolds show up to answer the challenge for Rampage.

Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) are in the ring. Matt says he is sorry Rey Fenix is injured, then says Penta el Zero Miedo's downfall will truly begin tonight when he beats Penta in front of the Hardy family and sends him to the hospital.

Penta el Zero Miedo beats Matt Hardy. After the match, Penta tells Malakai Black that he will show him some respect. Before he can finish speaking, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Malakai kicks Alex Abrahantes in the face before attacking Penta and tearing at his mask. The Varisty Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) show up and attack Malakai Black, but Julia Hart tells them to stop. The lights go out again, and when they come back on, Brody King stands in the middle of the ring and lays out The Varsity Blonds and Penta el Zero Miedo alongside Malakai.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews "Legit" Leyla Hirsch, Kris Statlander and Red Velvet. As Kris Statlander talks about her match next week, Leyla asks Kris if that is a bit selfish of her and if she is focused on their six-person match on Rampage, but Kris says she is more worried about helping her friends out and tells her to back off. Red Velvet tells them to get it together if they are to win on Rampage.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) beat Bear Country (Bear Boulder and Bear Bronson) following the cheap shot from Bowens to Bronson while Caster distracts the referee. After the match, the lights go out, then Sting shows up in response to "Platinum" Max Caster mentioning him and Darby Allin in his entrance rap. As Caster gets back in the ring, Darby Allin attacks him from behind while Sting hits Bowens with his baseball bat. Sting then hits Caster with a Scorpion Death Drop.

We hear from a blindfolded PAC, who says that Malakai Black might have blinded him, but he now sees everything and he appreciates the blessing, for his perspective is different and his vision has never been so clear.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). Matt says tonight's loss is frustrating and says he should focus less on the future of AEW and more on himself, as something needs to change. Andrade el Idolo and Jose the Assistant show up to tell Matt Hardy to relax, then remind him they are business partners and wants to make a deal with him. Matt Hardy says he is interested and tells him to come to him with his office.

David Crockett sits at ringside for the next match.

Sammy Guevara retains the Interim TNT Championship against Daniel Garcia after fending off 2point0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee). David Crockett awards the Interim TNT Championship to Guevara after the match just before 2point0 attack Guevara. Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston get in the ring to fend 2point0 off, but Jericho and Eddie have another confrontation that has to be broken up.

Kimber Lee beats Taya Valkyrie after Rosemary confronts Deonna Purrazzo for getting involved only for Susie to show up and attack Rosemary alongside Deonna. Taya is soon distracted by this, and this allows Kimber Lee to roll Taya up for the win.

In Kenny Omega's tour bus, Don Callis meets with Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson), saying they need a victory coming into Hard To Kill and that Karl Anderson needs to win against Rich Swann tonight. Anderson says he will definitely be able to handle Rich Swann himself tonight when it is addressed that nobody will be allowed at ringside in the match.

We see another paid ad from Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. Khan states that Impact had a good 2020 because of AEW, then he and Schiavone run down the card for Night 2 of New Year's Smash.Afterwards, Khan is surprised that The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) were on AEW, then says Impact did at least one thing right last year before asking Impact to bring more people to AEW.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says that his next match with Eddie Edwards is three years in the making and that it will be a "barbed wire massacre." He says that Eddie has no idea what is coming to him in this type of match at Hard To Kill.

Chris Bey and Rohit Raju beat Suicide and Manik.

Backstage, Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie are not happy with losing to Kimber Lee tonight. Rosemary says she will keep a more watchful eye next time. When Taya tells Rosemary she wants to return the favor and be at ringside for her match tonight, she reminds Taya that she has a title match this Saturday and tells Taya she has a plan.

Cody Deaner - now known as "Deaner" beats Tommy Dreamer by disqualification after Deaner slaps Cousin Jake only for his legs to be taken out from under him on the ring apron. After the match, Eric Young and Deaner attack both Dreamer and Jake. Rhino shows up from the back after being ejected early in the back and lays out Young, but Joe Doering - also coming back from being ejected from the ring - confronts Rhino and fells him with one clothesline. Deaner then hits Jake with the Deaner DDT and Eric Young piledrives Dreamer.

We see a video package of the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament so far.

Backstage, the contracts are signed for the Knockouts Tag Team Title Tournament finals. Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz brag that they have the match already won, then Havok and Neveah grab them by the throat and tell them they will win. Suddenly, Brian Myers asks Scott D'Amore who he has yet to beat, then Josh Alexander shows up and says Myers won by disqualification in their last match. D'Amore puts them in a no-disqualification, much to the irritation of Myers.

Rosemary beats Tenille Dashwood after Crazzy Steve shows up from underneath the ring and chases Kaleb all around the ring for confronting Rosemary. As this happens, Kaleb tosses a bottle of hairspray to Tenille, but Rosemary points the hairspray nozzle at Tenille, blinding her and allowing her to get the win.

We hear from Rich Swann, who says that he and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) will win at Hard To Kill, but tonight, he and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson are strictly one-on-one with everyone else in their Hard To Kill match banned from ringside. Rich Swann says that Anderson will get a little taste of what he will get at Hard To Kill, then he can go back to Kenny Omega's tour bus and make it known that Omega and company will get their asses kicked.

Backstage, ODB says that 2019 has been a hell of a year, and she thanks the fans for their support before announcing that a new food truck is on the way. She says that she has a brand new run and she plans to be a five-time Knockouts Champion.

Taya Valkyrie retains the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship against ODB and Jordynne Grace after John E. Bravo distracts the referee, which in turn distracts Jordynne and allows Taya to pick the bones after Jordynne's Grace Driver to ODB to retain.

Backstage, Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes are making out. Forbes takes over on the interview, and RVD mistakes Daga for a fan before saying that he will give his attention for whom it really matters after tonight's match.

Rob Van Dam vs. "The Machine" Brian Cage ends in a no-contest due to referee stoppage. Before the match, a second woman dressed in similar fashion to RVD and Katie Forbes grabs Cage from the front row, allowing RVD to attack Cage before the bell rings. Later on, Cage's mouth is busted open prior to a Van Terminator, and referees have to help Cage out of the ring. As this happens, Daga - whom RVD confused for a fan backstage - confronts RVD, and RVD attacks him, starting another match.

Rob Van Dam beats Daga after the interference by Katie Forbes. After the match, the second woman from front row from earlier celebrates with RVD and Katie in the ring. RVD says to the camera "You're gonna love Jennifer."

Backstage, Jake Crist says Sami Callihan has no time for an interview and that he is just fine.

Eddie Edwards retains the Call Your Shot Trophy against Michael Elgin after countering the Elgin Bomb into a roll-up.

We hear from Rhino, who says that he feels comfortable in a no-disqualification match and that he will show Moose a move called "No Fucks Given" when he rips him in half with a Gore.

Moose beats Rhino in a no-disqualification match. During the match, the referee is put through a table along with Moose as Moose uses him as a human shield while Rhino puts him through the table with a Gore. Another referee runs in to call the match, and Moose hits a low blow followed by No Jackhammer Needed to get the win.

Backstage, Rich Swann is not allowed to head to the ring for Willie Mack's. Willie asks Rich Swann to do what is best for him, and says that after Rich Swann got them the #1 contendership for the tag team titles on his own, it is only fair that he win the tag team titles on his own.

The North (Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Championships against Willie Mack, much to the disappointment of Rich Swann, who is forced to watch from backstage.

Before the start of the show, Nick Aldis shows up with Thom Lattimore and Kamile and addresses Villain Enterprises ("The Villain" Marty Scurll, Brody King, PCO, "The Mercenary" Flip Gordon), saying that because of Marty Scurll showing up in NWA, he is here to expose him for who he is. As he talks about how he is bringing NWA back to prominence, Brody King and "The Mercenary" Flip Gordon run in and scare Aldis and his entourage off.

Rey Horus beats Andrew Everett.

Brian Zane guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, "Number One" Brian Johnson shows up, angry that his face is not plastered all over the place. As he tells everyone in the ring to get out of his way, "The Darewolf" PJ Black stops him to tell him to go about this the proper way. Dalton Castle addresses Johnson, telling him that he is acting like "a silly goose" before handing Jay Briscoe the microphone. Jay tells Johnson to get in the ring so he can get his ass kicked. Johnson gets in the ring, and the match soon becomes a three-way tag team match.

Joe Hendry and Dalton Castle beat the team of "Number One" Brian Johnson and "The Darewolf" PJ Black and The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) in a three-way tag team match.

Sumie Sakai beats Nicole Savoy. During the match, Sumie Sakai kicks the bottom rope up into the crotch of referee Todd Sinclair. As Sinclair is down, Sumie Sakai grabs a chain from underneath the ring and uses it against Savoy before hitting Smash Mouth for the win.

Dak Draper beats Danhausen.

Alex Zayne gets a surprise win on Bandido in his ROH debut. Bandido and Alex Zayne shake hands after the match.

Shane Taylor shows up. He says that the more things change in ROH, the more they stay the same. While it is Sunday, 24 hours is 24 hours, and until ROH gets back with him, he will not be seen in a ROH ring. However, he will be seen on January 31st for VIP Wrestling when he goes one-on-one with Nick Gage.

LifeBlood ("Overkill" Mark Haskins and "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams) beats Vincent and Bateman by disqualification. Before the match, it is announced that the other two members of Vincent's entourage are Vita Von Starr and Chuckles.) During the match, Chuckles hits Haskins with a wooden brace as Haskins goes for a Sharpshooter on Vincent. Williams is forced to make the save for Haskins when Vincent and his entourage try to injure Haskins.

Dan Maff, Jeff Cobb, Jonathan Gresham and Jay Lethal beat The Bouncers (The Beer City Bruiser and Brian Milonas) and 2 Guys 1 Tag ("The Last Real Man" Silas Young and Josh "The Goods" Woods). After the match, Lethal knocks Woods off the ring apron, then Dan Maff grabs one of the tag team belts. Maff almost takes it with him, but is told not to by referee Todd Sinclair, and Maff tosses the title back to Lethal.

Bully Ray shows up. He offers to apologize to ring announcer Bobby Cruise after Cruise irritably tosses the microphone to him, saying he deserves it after last night. Cruise is hesitant, even after Bully Ray wants him to enter the ring so he can apologize to him and shake his hand. Bully slaps Cruise in the face during his apology, however, then calls him "a stupid schmuck." Bully then says he will talk slowly for the fans in Concord, New Hampshire before making fun of a couple in the front row. He then brags about putting Maria Manic through a table last night and sending her to the hospital, and says that Maria Manic could not make it tonight because she is a coward much like the fans. Suddenly, Maria Manic runs into the rin, unbeknownst to Bully Ray, and when Bully Ray turns around, Maria hits Bully with two Spears and punches him. The Allure (Angelina Love and Mandy Leon) run in, but Maria fends them off as well. Bully fights back, then Angelina gives him a chair at his command and proceeds to hit Maria with it. The Allure then bring out a table from underneath the ring, and Bully puts it in the corner before attempting to put her through it. Maria hits Bully Ray with a blow, tells him "You're not a bully! You're a bitch!" before tossing him through the table and scaring The Allure away from the ring. After security helps Bully out of the ring and to the back, Bobby Cruise tells Bully Ray "You suck."

"The Mercenary" Flip Gordon beats Flamita with the STF, then removes Flamita's mask after the match.

La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King) beat Villain Enterprises ("The Villain" Marty Scurll, Brody King, PCO).

NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool II - The Results

Eddie Dennis beats Trent Seven. During the match, Eddie Dennis exposes a top turnbuckle, and when the referee stops him from throwing Trent Seven into the exposed turnbuckle with a crucifix bomb, Dennis tosses Seven into a ringside worker before getting Trent back in the ring for the Neck Stop Driver and the win.

Kay Lee Ray retains the NXT UK Women's Championship against Piper Niven and Toni Storm after Toni hits a top rope frog splash on Piper.

Alexander Wolfe shows up and hits Coffey with a big boot, then tries to get Walter back up to his feet. Ilya Dragunov shows up and fights off Wolfe, but whn he hits Torpedo Moscow on Wolfe, Wolfe lands on Coffey's left knee, tweaking the knee in the process. Walter hits Dragunov with a monster clothesline, then the match continues, and another referee shows up before Dragunov and Wolfe fight their way to the back. After the match, Walter celebrates with the rest of Imperium (Fabian Aichner, Marcel Barthel, Alexander Wolfe), but they are attacked by The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong), who attack Imperium as a whole before ganging up on Walter, with Adam Cole nailing the Last Shot on Walter to end the show.

Backstage, The Beer City Bruiser confronts "The Last Real Man" Silas Young, wanting to repair their friendship. When he says that they have a match against each other next week and that he does not want to wrestling, Silas tells The Bruiser he was never his friend and says that The Bruiser does not want to fight him because he knows "he can't hang."

We hear from The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe), who say that they are ready for SoCal Uncensored ("The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky), whose glimmer of hope from their rematch clause will be the death of them.

Britt Baker and Madison Rayne beat Twisted Sisterz (Holidead and Thunder Rosa) after Britt Baker dodges a drop kick from Thunder Rosa, which hits Holidead.

The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe) retain the ROH World Tag Team Championships against SoCal Uncensored ("The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky). During the match, referee Todd Sinclair is taken out by a hurricanrana to Mark Briscoe by Kazarian, allowing The Briscoes to hit Scorpio Sky with steel chairs. Referee Paul Turner steps in for Todd Sinclair for the remainder of the match.

"The Villain" Marty Scurll shows up. He talks about what is next for him, and says he has been beating around the bush for far too long. He says that he is the top man in ROH, and that it is time that he earns the top prize that represents it. He says that he made his intentions to do so clear when he challenged Jay Lethal. The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan, Vinny Marseglia) shows up, and asks how many times it will take to teach Scurll that he is the real ROH World Champion and not Jay Lethal. He also says that he has been waiting for Scurll to be all alone and without back-up in ROH, and that he is now surrounded by an entire Kingdom. Scurll admits his friends have left him, but that does not mean he cannot make new ones. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Brody King is standing next to Scurll. The lights go out again, and when they come back on, the sound of electricity is heard and seen on the video screen, and when they come back on, PCO is also standing next to Scurll. PCO, Brody King and Scurll fight off The Kingdom with relative ease, then Scurll calls his new collective "Villain Enterprises."

Devlin takes the microphone that there is a reason not to bet against "The Ace." As Banks is helped to the back, Devlin calls himself "the greatest Irish wrestler alive." General Manager Johnny Saint then says something to Assistant Sid Scala, who says that they have a back-up plan after what Devlin has been up to. Scala and Saint leave, then Finn Balor shows up to become Devlin's replacement opponent.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy" and Jeff Hardy) tell The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) that the hunt will be rendered obsolete, and they will prove it tonight as they delete The Wolves as mandated by the Seven Deities.

Ethan Carter III shows up. He sits near a few people in the crowd, saying he wanted one clean title match last night, but he couldn't get it because of Lashley bringing in a chair and Davey Richards hitting him with it. He says that The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) are in collusion, and call them out for costing him the World title. Instead, he gets Lashley. Lashley says he'll do whatever it takes to win the World title, and EC3 won't. He then says Eddie Edwards stuck his nose in their business and screwed them both over. However, he wants to eliminate EC3, and proposes a Last Man Standing match for #1 contendership. After asking the Anthem Owl for guidance, EC3 says he doesn't want the match tonight, he wants it right now. Lashley and Ethan Carter III brawl briefly before referees rush in to pull them apart.

Lashley beats Ethan Carter III in a Last Man Standing match to become #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

We see footage of someone putting a ring on their pinkie and then sticking it out.

Eli Drake and Tyrus raise a ruckus, and through a backstage stand, Eli Drake says that he is taking his voice away from the fans before announcing he will win the Race For The Case. He then beats up the backstage hand.

Rockstar Spud, dressed in a light blue doorman's uniform, introduces Aron Rex, who is in a white robe. Aron Rex says that a few months ago, he had an epiphany: nobody has paid for the sole purpose of seeing him perform in the ring. As he takes off his robe, Robbie E shows up, asking what the heck the fans are looking at, then questions why Spud is still here before saying that it's a new beginning in TNA yet Aron Rex is still the same old jackass. This earns him a two-on-one beating from Aron Rex and Rockstar Spud, which ends with Aron Rex knocking Robbie E out with his ring-adorned fist.

The DCC ("The Cowboy" James Storm", Bram, Eddie Kingston) says it's a new year, but some memories can never be forgotten. Bram can't forget Decay (Rosemary, Abyss, Crazzy Steve) kidnapping him and leaving him in the boot of a car. Kingston says he has 15 years of memories of people saying he is too violent and doesn't belong in the business, but now he has found a place in the DCC. Storm says the devil whispered in his ear that he can't handle the storm, before saying he is the storm and they are the Death Crew Count.

Allie is backstage when Maria Kanellis-Bennett confronts her yet again. She tells her she will never be a wrestler and cannot get it through her head, and that "The Miracle" Mike Bennett will put Braxton Sutter in a body cast and end their relationship.

Decay (Crazzy Steve and Bram) vs. The DCC (Eddie Kingston and Bram) end when the match gets out of control. Both teams continue to fight each other all over the ring.

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) talk about how they have a match for the tag team titles on their first match back. Davey apologizes to Eddie for what happened last week.

McKenzie Mitchell interviews the returning Brooke. She took time away to heal, spend time with family and even start one of her own. Now she is back full-time as a member of the Knockouts roster, and can't wait to meet the new faces and take back the Knockouts Championship. She returns next week.

Braxton Sutter beats "The Miracle" Mike Bennett with a surprise jackknife pin after Maria forces Allie to watch Bennett mercilessly destroy Sutter only for Bennett to pay for wasting too much time putting him away.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Benett talk backstage, and blame tonight's loss and 2017 not being their year on Allie. When Bennett tells Maria that she owns Allie and that Allie does anything she tells her to, Maria gets an idea...

Before the next match, Rosemary says that Gail Kim and Sienna were but the first, and that Decay will spread like a virus until the Knockouts feel, taste and become the darkness. Suddenly, Jade shows up and says she's still here, then tells Rosemary that she wouldn't be champion if it weren't for the mist. Jade then demands a rematch for the Knockouts Championship. Rosemary laughs, and invites her to a Monster's Ball match. Jade says Rosemary is a monster, but so is she, and accepts the invitation. As Jade leaves, Rosemary tries to attack her with the Knockouts title, but Jade sees it coming. This starts a brawl where Jade comes out standing tall.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) after Davey Richards gets upset with Eddie Edwards for taking care of Matt Hardy on the outside, leading to miscommunication between the two of them.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for January 12, 2016

Ethan Carter III looks at himself in the bathroom mirror. Tyrus shows up and simply tells him "It's time."

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. EC3 says this is a time of vindication for him. He says that Tyrus has never doubted him, and thanks him for having his back after all this time. Before he can return to the topic at hand, however, Jeff Hardy shows up. Jeff says he's here to give him something he deserves: credit where it's due for beating Matt Hardy clean. He then hands EC3 a letter from his doctor. It's a doctor's note stating that he is clear for action, and Jeff wants his first match against Ethan Carter III. EC3 denies Jeff a title shot, saying he has to earn it. He then brings out an opponent after speaking to Bob Ryder through the camera: The Master of Motion, Shynron. Shynron plans to beat Jeff Hardy tonight. EC3 brings out a referee to make the match official, then guests on commentary for the match along with Tyrus.

Jeff Hardy beats Shynron.

Jeremy Borash interviews The Beautiful People (Jade, Rebel, Marti Bell, Awesome Kong). Marti Bell says that the Knockouts Division needed a shake-up, and that Awesome Kong has provided that shake-up. Kong says that this is her house, and that Gail Kim has something she wants. Suddenly, The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) show up and tell The Dollhouse that they should be worrying about them tonight, and that they don't have to jump people from behind to make a point. They then land the first blows in a backstage brawl.

When we come back from break, we find out that the backstage brawl between The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) and The Dollhouse (Jade, Marti Bell, Rebel, Awesome Kong) has spilled over to the ring, and has officially become the start of the match.

Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm) show up for their beer bash in celebration of reuniting after almost five years. Storm is glad he came back to TNA and reformed one of the best tag teams in TNA history. Roode reveals that the reason they broke up and got back together is their drive and passion to be the best, and that he was wrong for turning on Storm like he did. They apologize for a few more things (including Roode puking in Storm's cowboy hat) as they give a toast to each other and the fans. As they get rowdy and loud, Eric Young and Bram show up to spoil the fun, and after Eric Young brags about taking the World title from him and admitting he doesn't like Bram but does like the way he operates, he says that Roode has something that belongs to him: the TNA King of the Mountain Championship. Roode tells EY he'll beat him like a little bitch, and puts the title on the line...right here, right now.

Eric Young takes advantage of some commotion near the end of the match to beat Bobby Roode and win the TNA King of the Mountain Championship!

Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett meet up with Ethan Carter III and Tyrus backstage. Michael Bennett has kind words for EC3, but EC3 doesn't think as kindly of Bennett.

It's time for Mr. Anderson's new segment: "Huh?" The first guest ever on this segment is Matt Hardy, who is accompanied by Reby Sky and their son Maxell. Matt Hardy says the only reason he didn't beat Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship is because of Eric Young's piledriver. Anderson thinks he's making excuses, but Matt Hardy says he's being accountable and refuses to give up on winning the title again. Matt Hardy also says that he has EC3's number, and that Jeff Hardy won't be "doing his dirty work." He, Reby and Maxell leave after the interview becomes uncomfortable.

Christy Hemme interviews Drew Galloway, who says that a match with Kurt Angle has always been a childhood dream of his. He says he has to beat Angle tonight in order to prove he can be number one in TNA.

Bram and Eric Young talk backstage. They plan to wipe out Beer Money (Bobby Roode and "The Cowboy" James Storm") once and for all.

Tigre Uno and The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) beat Jessie Godderz, DJ Z and Eli Drake.

Jeff Hardy talks to his brother Matt Hardy, telling him to get the World title while he can. Matt says he has an offer Ethan Carter III cannot refuse. Reby Sky cuts the conversation short.

Ethan Carter III shows up, saying that Matt Hardy has an offer and he wants to know what it is. Matt shows up, and gives EC3 the opportunity to control his fate much like he did with Jeff. Matt says that if he can't beat Ethan Carter III for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, he will leave TNA forever. EC3 ups the ante by making it a Last Man Standing match. They shake on the match.

Kurt Angle beats Drew Galloway. Both men show respect after the match.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 12, 2015

The show in New Orleans, Louisiana - the first since WrestleMania 30 - starts with John Cena entering the ring. He's glad to be back in New Orleans, but he's not glad that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are back in power and his Survivor Series teammates are fired. He knows none of them deserve to be fired, and so does the crowd. He wants everyone at home to use #AuthoritySucks on Twitter to drive the message to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. As for Cena, he has a Plan B: winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble, then taking his ball and going home with the title until Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan are re-hired. Triple H and Stephanie show up and mock his efforts, saying that Cena knew what he was getting into when he fought against them. They give Cena another chance, however, as "they didn't want to fire those guys last week." All Cena has to do is win his match tonight: a one-on-one match against Seth Rollins that Triple H turns into a Lumberjack match. HHH then brings out the lumberjacks, as the match is next.

Seth Rollins beats John Cena, thanks to the all-heel lumberjacks outside of the ring, which include Big Show, Kane and J&J Security (Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble).

Stephanie McMahon talks with Dean Ambrose and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). The Usos get off easy for their comments about her and Triple H from last week, but not Naomi: she has to compete with one arm tied behind her back. As for Ambrose, he has to pass a psychological exam or else he won't be in the Royal Rumble match, as he checked himself out of the hospital after his match on last week's SmackDown, and Stephanie deems him a threat to himself and others.

The Miz and Damien Mizdow congratulate George Clooney for his Lifetime Achievement award at the Golden Globes, and hope he wins a Slammy one of these days.

Dean Ambrose has his psychological exam, which starts with an annoying, ticking clock.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) beat Tyson Kidd and Cesaro despite attempted interference from Adam Rose.

Next week on Raw: Hulk Hogan, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair and Razor Ramon re-unite!

Big Show appears. He mocks the WWE Universe as he talks about being a giant, saying the crowd doesn't competition. Show says he'll stab the new guy on the job in the back to ensure job security...then talks about Roman Reigns, whom he calls a loser and plans to knock out so he can celebrate afterwards. He also calls Roman's fans "losers," as well. Roman Reigns shows up, and Big Show walks up the ramp. Reigns knows he's not a threat to Big Show, and then re-tells Jack and the Beanstalk his way as his way of telling Show he's the real loser.

Roman Reigns beats Luke Harper. After the match, Big Show attacks Roman Reigns and knocks him out.

Damien Mizdow tells The Miz that he recorded his every waking moment for the last six months for a movie.

Alicia Fox beats Naomi, who has one arm tied behind her back during the match. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) were also barred from ringside during the match.

Dean Ambrose's psychological exam continues with image association therapy.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar show up. After showing footage of Lesnar breaking Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak at WrestleMania 30, Heyman puts Lesnar on a pedestal, saying that Lesnar will show both John Cena and Seth Rollins the difference between fantasy and reality when Lesnar retains the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Royal Rumble.

The Miz beats Jey Uso after a game of tug-of-war involving both Jimmy Uso and Jey as well as Miz and Damien Mizdow, after Mizdow tries to interfere.

Daniel Bryan shows up. Last time he was in New Orleans, he became World Heavyweight Champion. He plans to do that again this year by winning the Royal Rumble match. All of a sudden, Stephanie McMahon shows up. After trying to hawk her workout DVD, she has to remind everyone of Daniel Bryan's injury that shelved him for eight months and patronize him. Daniel Bryan says he and the WWE Universe will never stop fighting, and Stephanie responds by putting D-Bry in a match against Kane - the same man who injured him - later this week on SmackDown. Daniel Bryan goes right after Kane, and though Kane gets the upper hand shortly into the brawl, Bryan fights back with a vengeance until officials break it up. Daniel Bryan is back.

Brie Bella beats Paige, thanks to Tyson Kidd causing a distraction by standing on the ring apron. After the match, Paige slaps him.

Bray Wyatt promises to win the Royal Rumble match.

It's official: "Macho Man" Randy Savage is the first inductee in the 2015 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame. He will be inducted into the Hall by Hulk Hogan.

The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) beat two random guys.

Dean Ambrose is now the psychologist...and tells the guy giving him the exam that not only is he a spineless, gutless, screwed-up heap of cow dung, but that it's weird when he sits down to pee.

Rusev and Lana are in the ring. After mocking Ryback's recent firing and declaring that Rusev is in the Royal Rumble match, Dean Ambrose shows up and brawls with Rusev.

Rusev beats Dean Ambrose when Ambrose can't continue with the match due to a hurt knee.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon bring out John Cena, Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar for the contract signing for their Royal Rumble match. Heyman gives credit where credit is due and thanks Seth Rollins for making all of this possible, but he is upset that the match is a Triple Threat Match and says Lesnar will soon conquer him and Cena. After lists of WWE accomplishments are thrown around and threats of ass whipping are made, all three men sign the contract. After this, all three men brawl, and after two German Suplexes, an Attitude Adjustment through a table and two Curb Stomps, Rollins is the last man standing.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for January 12, 1998

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews the New World Order after they come out of a limousine. Kevin Nash says that anybody who saw what happened last week saw what happened, and that he attacked "Macho Man" Randy Savage from behind to keep Savage from taking a shot at him. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan tells Okerlund that the nWo will take care of family business tonight, starting with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Eric Bischoff calls Okerlund a troublemaker, but Nash tells Okerlund that Savage - who is conspicuous by his absence - doesn't want a part of him.

Bill Goldberg beats Jerry Flynn.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls, who now have a new addition by the name of Whisper.

Marty Jannetty beats Black Cat in his Nitro debut. The Rocker Dropper is now known as the Showstopper.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is outside when another limousine shows up. Out comes some more members of the New World Order, including "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who says that Lex Luger is his tonight. "Macho Man" Randy Savage almost slaps Okerlund for telling him that Kevin Nash said something about him earlier, saying that there are no problems within the nWo. Scott Hall accuses Okerlund of stirring the pot.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Dean Malenko with the Crippler Crosfface. Raven's Flock (Raven, Scotty Riggs, Van Hammer, Saturn, Billy Kidman, Lodi) are seen in the front row during the match. After the match, Raven jumps into the ring and hits Benoit with the Evenflow DDT before daring Malenko to attack him. Saturn ambushes Malenko from behind and puts him in the Rings of Saturn briefly.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who says that "Gentleman" Chris Adams had to be disqualified in his match against "Macho Man" Randy Savage last Thursday on Thunder due to Lex Luger getting involved in the match. Dillon goes on to say that is law and order is to be restored, it must be done uniformly. He also says that him showing the footage from Nitro two weeks ago being shown on Thunder was him doing his job. He also fines "Macho Man" Randy Savage $5,000 for accidentally striking Eric Bischoff last week, and says that he is simply doing his job. Savage rushes down the ramp and confronts Dillon over the fine, but Bischoff tells Savage to let him go and keeps him away from Dillon, telling him that he'll pay the fine for him. Savage says it's not about the money, it's the principle, and Bischoff has to try desperately to keep Savage from tearing Dillon apart, even as Savage wants to know what Kevin Nash said about him earlier in the night.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says he's jacked in Jacksonville, Florida, then says life is about timing. A few weeks ago when Thunder was being booked, they came up with a main event that will happen this Thursday: him and Lex Luger against "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Kevin Nash. Okerlund says there may be tension between Savage and Nash, and Page says he thougt Savage and Nash was for life, much like how Savage and Miss Elizabeth were supposedly for life. What is for life, according to Page, is his and Luger's hatred for the nWo, and says the weather that night will be very stormy Luger will make them feel the crackle and he will make them feel the bang.

Saturn puts his feet on the middle rope for leverage to win the WCW World Television Championship...almost. Rick Martel is at ringside, and tells the ref that Saturn used the ropes for leverage. This causes the referee to restart the match, and Booker T retains the title. Before the match, it is announced that the rest of Raven's Flock (Raven, Scotty Riggs, Van Hammer, Billy Kidman, Lodi) have been banned from ringside and removed from the front row for this match. After the match, Booker T tells Rick Martel he owes him one, and Rick Martel says "How about a title shot?" Booker T tells him he's got an open contract, and any time he wants it, he can come get it.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund introduces Nick Lambros and The Giant. Lambros says neither Kevin Nash or the nWo have given them a satisfactory explanation as to why Kevin Nash missed his match against The Giant at Starrcade, and while that may be acceptable to the nWo, that is not acceptable to WCW. WCW has therefore required that Nash or the nWo post a $1.5 million performance bond for the Nash/Giant match at Souled Out, and if they fail to post bond, Nash will be suspended from all WCW-sanctioned events for one year. Lambrose says he has also watched Eric Bischoff spend Time Warner and Turner's money like water for the last two years. He has talked with the Time Warner Executive Committee, and as of today, Eric Bischoff is officially cut off. The Giant is happy with the news, and says he just wants Kevin Nash to show up. Eric Bischoff, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash show up with a lawyer of their own: Hollywood attorney to the stars Henry Holmes. Holmes says he has talked with his client Hogan and his newest client Nash, and they accept Mr. Lambros' demand of the $1.5 million performance bond, as Hogan is putting the $1.5 million up. Holmes says there is a catch: the nWo requires that WCW and The Giant match the $1.5 million and put it up as a guarantee from this moment until the pay-per-view that The Giant does not touch Kevin Nash, or else he will forfeit that $1.5 million to Kevin Nash, and Holmes will get his fair share. The Giant accepts Holmes' demands, and Kevin Nash gets in The Giant's face in an attempt to get The Giant to break the conditions of the deal - which doesn't work - before The Giant and Lambros leave.

We see a video package of Lex Luger vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage for Souled Out.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Lex Luger beats Hugh Morrus with the Torture Rack. A distraught Miss Elizabeth shows up and calls Lex Luger after the match, telling him that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has become uncontrollable and that Luger is the only one who can end this. Luger is suddenly attacked from behind by none other than Savage, and Savage holds Luger up so that Elizabeth can slap Luger in the face. Luger and Elizabeth run as Diamond Dallas Page shows up and checks on Luger.

We see another performance from The Nitro Girls. This week's Nitro Prize Pack goes to Grant Cambridge in Westchester, Ohio.

Steve "Mongo" McMichael beats Chris Jericho.

After the break, Chris Jericho berates the fans and says he's a fool for being a role model for everyone. When he sees the camera, however, he changes his tune and says he can lose with dignity and in a respectable manner before apologizing. Jericho tries to finish, but he is interrupted by Rey Mysterio Jr.'s music. Rey says he's just here for his match, but Jericho confronts Rey for interrupting him. Jericho apologizes, and wishes Rey luck, saying he's his favorite cruiserweight. Jericho then attacks Rey from behind as soon as Rey turns his back and puts him in the Lion Tamer, cementing his heel turn. Juventud Guerrera shows up and almost falls off the top rope on the way in, and Jericho leaves the ring. Referee Charles Robinson tells Guerrera the match between him and Rey can't happen as Rey has been injured. Juventud attacks Rey, but Rey fights back, and the match happens anyway. Nevertheless, Juventud Guerrera quickly retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Rey Mysterio Jr.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Hogan says he and Bischoff recruited Henry Holmes to give the nWo umbrella coverage and rectify the wrong between him and Sting, even though he was happy to have Holmes cover the situation between Kevin Nash and The Giant. He also says that the nWo is ready to take off some head, as tomorrow morning at 8 AM, the nWo will file an injunction against WCW in federal court for every coin they have, and the fans will worship the ground he walks on.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, fresh from the WWF after a month off TV. Neidhart says he was sitting at home last week when something disturbed him: "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's statements about Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Neidhart says Bret is the best, not Flair. Not surprisingly, Flair shows up, shakes Neidhart's hand, and tells Neidhart that if he tries to state that Bret is the better wrestler, he'd better do it to his face. Neidhart does just that, and Flair says that if he wants some, all he needs to do is get his gear on. Neidhart says he was born with his gear on, and says he doesn't need to go to the back as he challenges Flair to an impromptu match. Flair takes the challenge and heads to the back to get his gear on, but Flair heads to the ring in his street clothes anyway. When he gets in to the ring, he knocks out Neidhart and referee Billy Silverman with a foreign object, then puts Neidhart in the Figure Four Leg Lock around the ring post until Bret "The Hit Man" Hart runs out and chase after Flair before the two of them have a brawl. Flair retreats as Bret checks on Neidhart.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, then see the footage of Grant Cambridge's Nitro party.

The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) beat The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) to win the WCW World Tag Team Championships. During the match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage suddenly shows up to confront Nash for saying things behind his back, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has to calm Savage down. Later on in the match, Kevin Nash hits referee Randy Anderson with a Big Boot as Scott Steiner argues with Anderson. After Hogan knocks down Ted DiBiase, "Macho Man" Randy Savage hits an elbow drop on Rick Steiner when in reality, he is going for Kevin Nash. Nash and Hall both end up covering Rick Steiner together, and after the match, Kevin Nash goes after Randy Savage to end the show.
