He then knocks on a door, and The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) answer. Ric Flair says that he wants a a word with them.

Tony Schiavone interviews Daniel Garcia in the ring. It is announced that Daniel Garcia will get his shot against Christian Cage for the TNT Championship at Revolution. Garcia says he was told that he was destined for great things, but admits that he had lost confidence in himself in the last few months. He says that three seconds was all he needed and he was able to beat Brody King in the Continental Classic. He says that every single time he went down, the fans brought him back up, and every time he danced, the fans danced with him, and he thanks the fans for always being there. Garcia says that if his match with Adam Copeland went longer, he would have made him tap out. He says they will meet again, and when they do, he will be TNT Champion. As he has a message for Christian Cage, The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Shayna Wayne) shows up. Christian says Copeland will never have another opportunity at his title ever again, then calls what happened last week a by-product of being in the ring with Copeland. He admits that Garcia has been on a roll lately, but that as much as he would love to get in the ring with Garcia, he does not want to face him at Revolution, as he feels that he is not ready. Christian gives Garcia a hard time for sending the fans home happy and wanting to become a champion, then mentions Garcia had "a pretty dark childhood" before bringing up his parents, including his father David, who is dead. He goes on to call his father "garbage" and a "piece of crap" who was also a drunk, then says that instead of hurting Garcia, he wants to help Garcia realize his full potential, and instead of being his opponent, he wants to be his father. Garcia tells Christian to keep his mother out of his mouth and dares him to get in the ring so he can put him in the ground next to his father. Christian sics Nick Wayne on Garcia, but he falls victim to the Sharpshooter. When Christian sics Killswitch on Garcia, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard shows up with a chair and hits Killswitch in the back.

Afterwards, Toni Storm smears lipstick all over her lips before making her way out.

We hear from Darby Allin, who says that when looking back on life, things are put in perspective. We then see some old photos of Sting with his sons, then says that family is the only thing that matters in the end. Sting says that in all his years as a professional wrestler, nobody has ever messed with his own flesh and blood until now, then mentions that his father passed away and how his father was like a hero to him. He says it makes him think about his own mortality and how he used to feel invincibility, then says that time catches up to everyone and that he is not invincible. He says that he will bring everything he has left in him to Revolution, and that The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) have the fight of their lives on their hands.

Tony Schiavone interviews Wardlow in the ring. Wardlow tells Schiavone to get out of the ring before he knocks him down again, then says he is pissed and that people have changed his name in a way that he has heard in years. He says that he was "the next big thing," but he has been screwed over again and again. He says that he should have been champion a long time ago, but he has never had the opportunity at the world title and there are people who should be fired and thrown in jail for that. He says that he beat CM Punk's ass like nobody has in years and that is body is still falling apart from it, and that he has squashed MJF like nobody ever has in his career. Wardlow then addresses choking out and beating Samoa Joe before stating that championship belts and custom suits look better on him before declaring that he is the best in the world and the uncrowned king of AEW. He says it is time to eat like a king and that he is tired of eating scraps, and that there is nobody in the back who is better than him or is able to stop him, and if anyone wants to get in his way, it is no longer wrestling; it is war.

In backstage footage from last Friday featuring the Bang Bang Scissor Gang, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn apologizes to Jay White for knocking him off the apron, then says he wants to go back to being a "Collision Cowboy" afer helping out with the 3:10 to Yuma. Fletcher then says at their best, nobody can beat Aussie Open, because they run the world. After Aussie Open leaves, Daniels says surprises happen everyday even in the new era of Ring of Honor, and while he and Sydal were tag team champions years ago, the difference between then and now and is that they have a lot of experience and they are still good looking. Daniels tells Aussie Open that if they are looking for a team who will kick their asses, they are willing to get that job done.

Eddie Edwards shows up to start tonight's show. He thanks family, friends and fans for always being there for him, and while there is still negativity, he has still used it as motivation to beat Lashley. He tells Lashley to keep winning as he hides from no one. Eli Drake shows up, and tells Eddie he gave him seven days to lick his wounds and get in shape for him. He says Lashley should be lucky he isn't looking into his eyes, then tells Eddie he'll cross his name off of his list and come out World champ. Suddenly, Ethan Carter III appears, and commends Eli Drake for cashing in Bound For Gold before saying that he will get the World title back and that Eli Drake isn't ready to be world champ, and that he's betting on Eddie Edwards tonight. "The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett then show up, and tells EC3 the last time he bet the house, he bet his undefeated streak and lost to him. He tells EC3 to go to the back of the line, and promises that he will win the World title and become TNA's savior once and for all. Eli Drake says there are dummies everywhere, and as he talks to EC3, Bennett attacks EC3, starting a tag team brawl. Moose shows up and clears the ring.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett uses his wits to beat Moose by count-out to qualify for the #1 contender's match for the World title.

Al Snow is back, and he's about to join The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax) in the ring.

In Cameron, North Carolina, Brother Nero meets with Reby Hardy, who says that "Broken" Matt Hardy has started acting very much unlike himself...by building another dining room. Brother Nero tries to jog Matt's memory, but nothing works. Also, Matt sounds more "normal" than ever and is now wearing a sweater.

The Tribunal (Basile Barak and Baron Dax) is in the ring. They are here to send a message that the world will take notice of, and welcome Al Snow back. Al Snow commends them for what they did to The Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero), but The Tribunal say they didn't do it for them and that they never needed him. They then attack Al Snow, and Mahabali Shera shows up to fight them off only to be overpowered.

Jessie Godderz has been waiting for Aron Rex, and this time, he just wants to beat him up.

Ethan Carter III beats Abyss with a sleeper hold to qualify for the #1 contender's match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

We hear from Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards prior to their World title match.

Back in Cameron, North Carolina, the Hardy clan play the "Obsolete Suite" to trigger memories in "Broken" Matt Hardy - who is making lobster bisque - but that fails to stir up any memories in Matt. Brother Nero decides to take him for a ride on his dirtbike...

Jeremy Borash is in the ring to interview Gail Kim. Gail Kim says that the wrestling business has made her a better person, and thanks the fans back when they thank her. Gail Kim then calls out Jade, and Jade shows up. Gail Kim tells Jade she is important to the future of the Knockouts Division, and sees her younger self in her. She believes in Jade, and calls her the future of women's wrestling. Gail then says she has been thinking about something for quite some time, but before she can say what it is, Abyss (Rosemary, Abyss, Crazzy Steve) show up. Rosemary spits mist into Gail Kim's face and takes down Gail Kim, then puts Gail in a submission hold and attacks Jade again as Abyss attacks Jeremy Borash. Abyss then places a trash can near Jade, and Rosemary kicks the can into Jade with a coast-to-coast drop kick.

Trevor Lee beats Rockstar Spud and DJ Z to qualify for the #1 contender's match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Robbie E and Grado find out they are both on the same side in a handicap match...against Lashley.

Brandi Rhodes meets with Allie backstage, and wants her to walk away from Maria and fight with her, but Allie cannot find the courage to do so.

Lashley beats Robbie E and Grado in a handicap match.

Aron Rex shines the TNA Impact Grand Championship on the way to the arena, and sees that Jesse is outside...

Jessie Godderz kicks Aron Rex's ass outside of the ring, as promised. Aron Rex gets a few shots in and is able to run away.

Brother Nero takes "Broken" Matt Hardy on a ride in his dirtbike to the Lake of Regeneration. When Matt refuses to get in the lake, Brother Nero decides it's time to head into the ring.

Eddie Edwards retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Eli Drake. After the match, Eddie Edwards is laid out by The DCC. The three men then unmask, revealing themselves to be Eddie Kingston, Bram and "The Cowboy" James Storm.

The Hardy family celebrates Halloween with a corn maze. Matt Hardy has a premonition that an outsider will enter the Hardy compound and deliver a looming message.

Aron Rex and Eli Drake beat Ethan Carter III and Jessie Godderz after Aron Rex hits a knockout punch on Godderz.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett brags about what she did to Brandi Rhodes last week, and says "The Miracle" Mike Bennett is a better wrestler than Cody Rhodes. Brandi catches her talking crap and chases her out of the make-up room.

Grado shows up backstage and says Halloween is his favorite holiday for the most obvious of reasons, even though he can't have the treats anymore. Grado teases that he is going to have an awesome costume tonight, and accidentally spills the beans after secretly telling Jeremy Borash what it is.

Trick-or-treating...and green beans!

Rockstar Spud is sick and tired of being overlooked in the X Division, and says that his team will beat DJ Z's.

Grado shows up and says that being in TNA has been his dream, but he wants more. He then brings out a guy who is an absolute legend and a future TNA Hall of Famer: Robbie E, who eventually shows up. Grado tells Robbie E he wants to be a Bro Man, then runs back to the back. Robbie wants to know what Grado is doing, and when Grado comes out, he is wearing tights like Robbie E's and has spray tan around his mouth. He dances to the ring as Robbie E tells him to reconsider, but Robbie E eventually gets into it. They are then attacked by the DCC.

In a segment recorded earlier today, Allie talks to Billy Corgan, who reminds her that Maria is not in power anymore, and that it can be tough inside the ring. Allie knows she will get her ass kicked in the ring, but she has to take a stand. Billy makes the match between Allie and Laurel Van Ness official.

Before the next match, Rockstar Spud introduces his teammates in Team X Gold: Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss).

DJ Z, Braxton Sutter and Mandrews - now known as Team Go For Broke - beat Rockstar Spud and Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss).

Cody Rhodes says that Maria Kanellis-Bennett made it personal when she attacked Brandi Rhodes. He says that "The Miracle" Mike Bennett is just smoke and mirrors, while Brandi Rhodes says she will "make that bitch [Maria Kanellis-Bennett] tap out."

Jeremy Borash moderates the contract signing between Lashley and Eddie Edwards for their World title match last week. It is announced that there is a "no-touch" clause in the contract keeping both men from attacking each other before their match. Lashley says this makes the match more interesting for him, and says that it doesn't matter if the company wants Eddie Edwards to win as he will destroy him next week. He tells Edwards to give up and forfeit the title while he can, but Edwards is having none of it and says that his wife was glad to see him holding the World title. He says Lashley took him lightly, and that it's all on Lashley. Lashley admits Eddie Edwards is right, but says Eddie got lucky and that he will beat him down next week and end his "feel-good story." Eddie Edwards signs the contract, but before Lashley can sign, Eddie tells Lashley that if he signs that and loses to him again, he risks being remembered as "Eddie Edwards' bitch." This almost turns into a brawl but Jeremy Borash reminds them about the no-touch clause. Lashley signs, then tells Eddie Edwards that he sealed his fate just like everyone else and that he will really hurt him next week.

Backstage, Laurel Van Ness meets up with Braxton Sutter, and asks if they could celebrate their victories together later on.

Gregory Shane Helms makes a surprise appearance at House Hardy as The Hurricane, then Itchweed shows up.

Itchweed does some wicked landscaping at the Hardy estate with a weed whacker to celebrate Halloween.

Laurel Van Ness beats Allie.

Two people in Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton masks show up at the Hardy household. "Trump" gets shocked by Senor Benjamin while "Hilary" gets chased off the property by Vanguard-1.

Jessie Godderz isn't taking Aron Rex's knockout punch lightly, and tells him that winning by any means necessary does not make one a true champion in his eyes. He challenges Aron Rex to another match for the Impact Grand Championship again, and Aron Rex says he's got it.

Reby Hardy gets a message meant for "Broken" Matt Hardy. It is from The DCC. They challenge Matt Hardy and Brother Nero for the tag team titles next week.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett tells Cody Rhodes he has done more in TNA then he ever will, and that he will never be him as he has Maria Kanellis-Bennett by his side. Maria makes fun of Brandi Rhodes again, and says they're TNA's only power couple. She tells Maria that she will find out why she is the First Lady of Professional Wrestling.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes beat "The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis-Bennett with a double submission.

Backstage, Lashley attacks Cody Rhodes, and tells him that nobody enters his house with his permission.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 20, 2016

Cody Rhodes shows up to start tonight's show. He says that tonight is something significant, as he competes for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He talks about the time he was fifteen years old, when he was riding with his father and hero Dusty Rhodes and was about to tell him he wanted to be a professional wrestler. Dusty told him "Okay...but only if you're the best." Cody promises to become TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Eddie Edwards shows up, and tells Cody that he and the crowd respect him, and now that Cody has re-invented himself, he is who he wants to be in TNA, and says the crowd respects him for being himself, too. He then asks Cody: "Do you truly know who you really are?" Cody says he knows, and that Eddie will know when he beats him for the World title tonight. Eddie says it's not when, but if, and he plans to prove his World title win was no fluke and that he is worthy of the title, and that if he has to beat Cody to prove he is worthy, so be it. Cody and Eddie stare down, but that stops when Lashley arrive. Lashley says he sees a future headline: him destroying the winner of the World title match, as neither man is a real fighter like him. Whoever stands in his way will get hurt. Moose shows up ready to face Lashley.

Lashley beats Moose to become #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Jeremy Borash interviews The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax). Baraka says that they wanted to get Billy Corgan's attention, and ask Corgan if they have it now. Baron Dax says that The Hardys (Broken Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) are weak, and that The Great War is over. As he continues to speak, static cuts in and we see The DCC. The DCC says that nobody is safe and that chaos arrives tonight.

Tyrus is...The Fixer...

It's time for Fact of Life with Eli Drake. Tonight's guest is Aron Rex, who says that the Impact Grand Championship means more to him than anything else, and loves what he's going to create in TNA. Eli Drake says he didn't like Aron Rex when he first showed up, but respects him for what he's done with the Impact Grand Championship. Aron Rex congratulates Eddie Edwards for winning the World title, but reminds us that he beat him for the Impact Grand Championship, which makes him the guy around here. He also treats Jessie Godderz like he is no competition. Eli Drake says he's the one Bound For Gold and bound for the World title, and says that if he's Bound For Gold, Ethan Carter III is bound for the toilet. EC3 shows up, ready to pounce on Eli Drake, and Eli Drake cuts to a commercial break.

After the break, Ethan Carter III says he will destory the Fact of Life set if given the chance. Eli Drake is ticked off, and Ethan Carter III challenges him to a fight. If he doesn't he'll fight him. He dares him to press the "Dummy Button" again. He presses the dummy button, and EC3 and Eli Drake fight each other until security separates both men.

The Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) say that The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax) will fade away and classify themsleves as obsolete. Matt views The Tribunal's actions as taking food off their children's plates, and sentences them to deletion.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax).

The DCC are back..and now they're in the ring. Three masked men attack The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax) as The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) watch. They then point at the Hardys.

Braxton Sutter talks to Allie, who has clearly had enough of Maria Kanellis-Bennett. Sutter tells Allie that she isn't to blame for what she has to go through. Laurel Van Ness shows up and tells Sutter "you don't have to be nice to her," before telling Allie that Maria has something for her and implies that she should she her right now.

We see an advertisement for "The Fixer" Tyrus again.

The DCC have another video message: this attack was just the start. They won't be stopped. No one is safe.

Lashley meets Cody Rhodes backstage. He says he doesn't get the hype, but wishes Cody luck tonight. Cody says he doesn't need his luck, and neither does Eddie Edwards. Lashley tells Cody that Eddie will get what he deserves, and that he will too if he doesn't watch is mouth. He then tells Cody he just might see him next week, but regardless, their paths will cross again sooner than later.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett, Allie and Laurel Van Ness show up. Maria says she is not leader of the Knockouts Division as there is a conspiracy theory against her and that she could blame anybody...so she blames Allie. Laurel Van Ness decides to push the psychological torture further and says "People like them should be serving people like us." Maria tells Allie to say that she is to blame, but Allie tells Marie that she is to blame for her own troubles, not her. Maria says that Allie should be taught a lesson, and Laurel Van Ness attacks her from behind. Maria then tells Allie that she had better become a fighter, as she will face Laurel Van Ness in a wrestling match next week.

Lashley confronts Eddie Edwards backstage. He tells Eddie this all ends tonight. Eddie dares Lashley to bet against him, as he beat him for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and that he is not afraid of him. Lashley says everybody should be afraid of him.

Tyrus tells Mahabali Shera to follow the path he blazes for him so he can become a top guy, and has set him up with a top guy to fight to see if he can stack up. That man, while not mentioned by name, is obviously "The Miracle" Mike Bennett.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett" beats Mahabali Shera.

Ethan Carter III and Jessie Godderz challenge Eli Drake and Aron Rex to a tag team match next week.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews DJ Z. He says that Team X Gold is bringing together all sorts of different wrestlers who are willing to team up and prove they're the best. Rockstar Spud shows up and asks why he hasn't been asked to participate, and DJ Z tells Spud nobody likes him. Spud says he's got his own team, and they will be here next week. He says they are better than X...better than Y...better than Z.

We see a video package of the events leading up to tonight's main event.

Eddie Edwards retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Cody Rhodes by rolling Cody up in an inside cradle after Cody hits him with a top rope superplex. Both men shake hands and raise each other's arms in victory after the match. After Eddie Edwards leaves, Maria shows up and pulls Cody's wife Brandi off the apron and tosses her into the steel steps before running back to "The Miracle" Mike Bennett.

Even though Lashley beat him in the past, he knew Lashley was beatable, and never thought about giving up becoming World champ once. He says he refuses to run and hide and that he will be a fighting champion, and that he will represent Impact Wrestling to the best of his ability. One will have to kill him to take the World title. Lashley shows up and chokes out Eddie Edwards, then hits him with a belly-to-belly suplex and lays him out with a Spear when he fights back. Lashley tells Eddie that if he will not run and hide, then he will punish him. Lashley heads back to the back.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero, the latter of whom is dressed normally) show up. Matt says that tonight is a night of celebration. They won the tag team titles, and Brother Nero repaid his debt to him. He now says his broken brilliance and Brother Nero's personalities have established that they are the greatest tag team of all space and time, beyond "The Bucks of Youth" and "The Day of the New." They celebrate the deletion of the tag team title reign of Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss), then Matt has a premontion: the next challengers to their tag titles will be determined tonight. They then celebrate with a "delete, obsolete" chant before The Tribunal (Basile Baraka and Baron Dax) run in through the crowd and attack The Broken Hardys, with Baraka kicking Brother Nero in the nuts.

Galloway mentions his accomplishments up until this point, and says he will make the Grand Championship look good. Aron Rex says that at Bound For Glory, it won't go to the judges as he will be judge, jury and executioner. Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for September 22, 2016

Drew Galloway beats Eddie Edwards by split decision to continue to the finals of the Impact Grand Championship tournament at Bound For Glory. Galloway says that he stood up for what's right and said what was on his mind, but he has learned that TNA's system is rigged and the Impact Grand Championship rules are much better. He says that guys like Ethan Carter III can't even keep up with him. EC3 shows up, and he tells Drew to tread lightly when he mentions his name. Drew says that there must be somebody out there watching out for EC3 in Nashville, and says EC3 will lose to Lashley...and when he does, he can face him for the Impact Grand Championship and lose in two rounds. EC3 tells Drew he beat him once, and he can do it again. As Galloway leaves, Lashley heads to the ring, and EC3 is suddenly attacked from behind by "The Miracle" Mike Bennett. Aron Rex beats Eli Drake by pinfall to continue to the finals of the Impact Grand Championship tournament at Bound For Glory.

Decay says The Great War will be the end of the Hardy Family ("Broken" Matt Hardy, Brother Nero and Reby Sky). She says The Great War transcends eartly needs, wants and possessions and that it will be the end of the Hardys. Abyss calls the crowd "sheep" and says that Decay will destroy what is left of the Hardy legacy, and it will be beautiful. Crazzy Steve says sending Vanguard-1 is a welcome invitation, and they welcome the invitation to The Great War with open arms, as when it is over, the crowd - and Matt's broken brilliance - will belong to Decay. Suddenly, "Broken" Matt Hardy is spotted in the crowd, telling Decay he will delete their tag team title reign (as well as calling Vanguard-1 and Skaarsgaard the Dilapidated Boat "magic.") Mike Bennett says he will become TNA World Heavyweight Champion and complete his mission of saving TNA because he is the best pro wrestler on the planet. He calls out Moose to take care of business from last week, but instead he gets Lashley. Lashley tells Bennett that Moose wants nothing to do with him, and he knows he will beat Bennett like everyone else he has recently beaten. Bennett thinks otherwise, and Lashley decides to make the match a no-disqualification match, while joking that Bennett no longer has Moose with him. Bennett thinks Lashley is jealous of Moose because Moose is better than him, but says Moose isn't around because he smartened him up or because Moose hates Bennett's guts. Bennett says he'll become World champ, but Lashley says there's not a chance of that. Moose shows up and finds it funny that everyone is talking about him and chanting his name, and that ever since he came to TNA, he let his actions do the talking and laid people on their asses. He says that everyone believed in him when he came to TNA and won the World Heavyweight Championship, but after last week, he blames the fans, Ethan Carter III and Aron Rex for his recent downfall. Billy Corgan shows up, and Drew Galloway calls him "Dixie Carter's little bitch."
