Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for March 16, 2023

Claudio Castagnoli beats Willie Mack in a Ring of Honor World Championship Proving Grounds Match.

Dante Martin beats Mike Bennett, then Matt Taven attacks Dante after the match before Darius Martin makes the save.

Metalik and "All Heart" Blake Christian beat The Trustbusters (Ari Daivari and Slim J).

We hear from Mark Briscoe, who says he says been saying for years that the ROH World Television Championship was his destiny, and that at Supercard of Honor, destiny will be fulfilled. Mark then calls out "Smart" Mark Sterling for interrupting him on the first opportunity he had to speak when he came to ROH, then says that "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese is next. That match will happen next week.

Eddie Kingston beats Jeeves Kay by submission. During the match, Claudio Castagnoli shows up to watch from the front row, but leaves after Eddie Kingston throws Jeeves Kay into the barricade, causing Claudio to spill his expensive coffee all over his button-down shirt.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "Smart" Mark Sterling and The Trustbusters (Ari Daivari, Slim J, Jeeves Kay). Sterling says Metalik and Blake Christian cheated to win and made some tags that were less than legal, then says he has filed an injuction in the state of Florida to get the match thrown out and declares that Ari Daivari and Slim J are still undefeated as a tag team. He also says Jeeves Kay took Eddie Kingston to his limit and gave him his best ROH match to date. Ari Daivari says this is not the time for thinking, but for action, and demands a rematch against Metalik and Blake Christian in a six-man tag match.

Athena beats Hyan in an ROH Women's World Championship Proving Grounds Match by submission, then slams Hyan face-first into the ROH Women's World Championship.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Metalik and "All Heart" Blake Christian. Metalik says he is very happy in the new era of ROH, and Blake Christian says he is happy they are here together. On the subject of The Trustbusters' (Ari Daivari, Slim J, Jeeves Kay) six-man rematch, Christian has called on AR Fox. AR Fox shows up, and says that this is exactly what they needed and that they will keep an eye on the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young beats Marcus Kross. After the match, Silas Young says it has been over a year since he stepped foot in a Ring of Honor ring, and when one thinks of Ring of Honor, one thinks of him. He also says that there is not a single man who measures up to him who has won the ROH World Television Championship, then Shane Taylor shows up. Shane Taylor says Silas Young may have bumped his head if he is something like that, as there has not been a more dominant Television Champion than himself, and if Silas needs correction to that fact, they can have a match next week and he will prove why he is the baddest champion anyone has ever seen.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Athena, who takes the microphone and says Yuka Sakazaki is looking for medical attention in Japan and still seeking matches there because she is afraid of her after she shoved her legs into the ring steps and hurt her more than anyone ever could, and yet Yuka is still wrestling in Japan and is not facing her. Athena says she is ready to whup her ass all over Los Angeles, California, and if Sakazaki "has the lady balls" to show up at Supercard of Honor, she is challenging her for the ROH Women's World Championship and planning on making her disappear.

The Embassy ("The Machine" Brian Cage, Joseph Kaun, Toa Liona) retain the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against Dalton Castle and The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate), then continue to attack them after the match until AR Fox, Metalik and "All Heart" Blake Christian chase them out of the ring.

Trish Adora beats Madison Rayne.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin). Dante says he has toget his neck stretched and popped thanks to a tag team that they thought they were done with, and next week, Darius Martin will go one-on-one with Matt Taven, and they challenge The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Michael Bennett) to "step up or take flight." Darius says they have proved what The Kingdom are going to do, and Dante says they are the coldest tag team in the game and have been on fire lately, and proclaims that he will light The Kingdom up while Darius proclaims that this kingdom is their for the taking.

Matt Sydal and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels beat The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum), then Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher) show up. Fletcher say it is a pleasure to see Daniels and Sydal back in Ring of Honor and calls them integral to the company's beginnings and history, but there is now no better tag team in the world than Aussie Open, and they want the ROH World Tag Team Championships. He then state there is no better way to throw their hats in the ring by beating former champions, and that they will see them and beat them in a Ring of Honor ring like they have beaten other team, then Davis counters the "Now!" chants by saying they will give Daniels and Sydal a rest so they can face them at their best. Fletcher then says at their best, nobody can beat Aussie Open, because they run the world. After Aussie Open leaves, Daniels says surprises happen everyday even in the new era of Ring of Honor, and while he and Sydal were tag team champions years ago, the difference between then and now and is that they have a lot of experience and they are still good looking. Daniels tells Aussie Open that if they are looking for a team who will kick their asses, they are willing to get that job done.

Wheeler Yuta retains the ROH Pure Championship against Clark Connors with the seatbelt pin. After the match, Yuta says he told everyone two weeks ago that The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Yuta) has the best training in the world, then says it might as well be time to go for the teacher of the New Japan Los Angeles dojo as he sits down cross-legged and promises that he will not rest until he beats Katsuyori Shibata. Claudio Castagnoli then shows up and celebrates with Yuta.
