Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 30, 2021

We hear from "Inevitable" Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Austin says that last week, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander stuck his nose in business where it does not belong, and because of that, he and Fulton are in a tag team match against TJP and Alexander tonight. Austin admits it has been a while since he and Fulton have been in a tag team match, especially since he has been busy as a singles wrestler, but Fulton says that at least he and Austin are a tag team. Austin says TJP and Alexander have had a week to get on the same page, although their focus may be on something else such as the X Division Championship, but their victory is inevitable. We then hear from TJP and Josh Alexander. TJP says that Alexander is the "monster of his own," and while Fulton has an ace, he is dealing with a joker, and he has what he considers the high card. Alexander says he is only here to be X Division Champion, and Ace and Fulton are the ones he has to go through to do that. He says that the enemy of his enemy is his friend and that TJP is his friend for tonight only, and that they will go out tonight to become the best two wrestlers in the company, and after tonight, their partnership is over. TJP gets the message that Alexander wants to start, and that if Alexander wants him to, he will finish it, and say that they will throw all the chips on the table, lay all their cards face up and let everything fall where it may.

Rohit Raju and Hernandez beat Shera and Fallah Bahh after Hernandez blasts Shera with a chair behind the referee's back.

Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) beat Havok and Nevaeh. During the match - and throughout the show - it is announced that Impact Wrestling is moving to Thursdays starting April 8th at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central. (The move is due to NXT moving to Tuesdays after WrestleMania.) After the match, Nevaeh attacks Havok from behind and hits her with a Spear, then plants her with a DDT.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Cowboy" James Storm. He says that as much as his 1,000th match in Impact should be a celebration, he was not supposed to even have one. He talks about how Bob Ryder got Impact to employ him and Chris Harris week after week. As for Eric Young, he expects Eric Young to show up and bring his friends, and says he has friends of his own in the form of Chris Sabin and Jake Something, who also bring in Chris Harris. Storm and Harris hug.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo and Susan. Deonna says she has been unstoppable since she became Knockouts Champion again,. Susan takes offense to what Jazz did to Kimber Lee, and soon, Jazz shows up and attacks Susan, hitting her with a trash can.

We see footage of Juice Robinson and David Finlay competing as Impact World Tag Team Champions in Japan. Meanwhile, Don Callis, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) have been watching this footage. They commend Juice and Finlay for getting better, then Omega passes an idea on to Callis, who passes it on to The Good Brothers, who like the idea.

Backstage, Trey Miguel is met by Sami Callihan, who says he is not here to fight. As Sami and Trey argue, Sami says that Trey still lacks passion and needs to harness his anger to get to the next level, saying he got him there by getting that anger out of him. He offers to be his mentor, then says he will get with Scott D'Amore and demand a tag team match against XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) with Trey as his tag partner, even though he can have a tag team partner of his choice. Sami then gives Trey a week to think about it and give him his answer.

Brian Myers beats Suicide. After the match, Myers says that Matt Cardona is trying to get the rub by challenging him to a match, and says it is not going to happen because Impact Wrestling is his.

Backstage, Jazz tells Tommy Dreamer she wants to get her hands on Deonna Purrazzo. Dreamer proposes the two of them in an Ultimate Jeopardy match at Hardcore Justice, and Jazz says she will put her career on the line to get the Knockouts Championship. Dreamer tells Jazz she's got the match.

Backstage, Willie Mack is met by Don Callis, who says he is a fan of his work and shows him the video package of Kenny Omega beating Rich Swann when Swann shows up and confronts Callis. He says that Callis will not get to him or his friends, and that if Callis was not his face, he would slap the sunglasses off his face. Callis then gives Swann an opportunity to smack him around, and this leads to Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) attacking Swann. Willie is also attacked, and Eddie Edwards runs into the room to even the odds. Omega and The Good Brothers soon retreat.

We see a vignette for something come soon to Impact in April 2021.

Backstage, Rohit Raju proposes being tag team partners with Hernandez, but Hernandez wants money more than anything else.

We hear from Eric Young, who says that "The Cowboy" James Storm challenging him is a mistake, for violence is the path and the only thing that the disease understands. He says that the olive branch will not be extended to all and that 1,000 matches means that Storm is too far gone and that the disease has taken hold, then says that the world belongs to Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino).

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer holds a meeting for Hardcore Justice. Deonna Purrazzo tells everyone to get their goodbyes to Jazz ready before she lays her to waste, then issues an open challenge for tonight. We then hear from Decay. Crazzy Steve says that "the best hand in the house" is made of flesh and bone, and it can be cut or broken, and when it does, the house begins to crumble. Austin tells D'Amore to throw out all the hoops he wants, for the results are inevitable.

Anderson says he can see the stars in Juice and Finlay's eyes and welcomes them to Impact, even proposing they have a party with bourbon. Finlay says he is up for it, provided Anderson doesn't pass out before midnight or wake up "covered in his own piss."

Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera are at a bar. Rohit says there is no reason why he should not be two-time X Division Champion, then says it is Shera's fault. Shera pushes Rohit into Storm, but Storm proposes Rohit apologize so they and Chris Sabin can have a good time. When Rohit refuses to apologize, Storm hits him in the head with a beer bottle, and Shera steps up only to be warned not to do this by Sabin. After Storm gives the bartender some money, Johnny Swinger shows up, invites Storm and Sabin to Swinger's Palace, then takes the money.

Johnny Swinger brings "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin to Swinger's Palace. Fallah Bahh shows up and blows the ten dollars Hernandez gave him, then gets thrown out.

Tenille Dashwood beats Nevaeh.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Moose's post-match attack on Rich Swann and Tommy Dreamer from No Surrender 2021.

He says that while Jake pinned him and the sickness won, Joe Doering made him suffer. Cousin Jake heads to the ring. He thought he had it all figured out until Deaner betrayed him, and says that while there is another path, it is not the way he thought it would be. Suddenly, Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) shows up. Eric Young says that Cousin Jake is starting to figure things out and that there is only one answer, and tells Jake to open his eyes, "become the best version of Jake" and take back his life as he hands him a red vest. Jake tosses the vest away. Jake says that if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, and says that he stands for "Jake Something." He attacks Eric Young, but the numbers game quickly catches up. As they wrap a steel chair around Jake's neck, Deaner tells the rest of the group he wants this. Eric Young then tells Jake he made the biggest mistake of his life, and that everything will end for good at No Surrender.

We see another paid advertisement from Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan. Khan says he was "The Forbidden Door" all along and that he had to open himself to new experiences following KENTA's debut before tomorrow night's card for Dynamite is run down. Khan thanks Kenny Omega and Don Callis for everything they have done in Impact and changing him to the point that he opened "the forbidden door," and says he wants more ratings and more people showing up. He also says he will be back in Impact sooner rather than later to show that "the forbidden door" swings both ways.

We hear from The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Anderson says that while "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin are good, they are not The Good Brothers and they are not the tag team champions, and tonight, they will do what they do best: beat them up. Gallows says that what will happen to them will happen to Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) and will happen at No Surrender.

He also tells them that their match will be a no-disqualification before getting them out of his office.

XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero), Tennille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K are in the ring. Larry D talks about his and Acey Romero's match against Decay (Rosemary and Crazzy Steve) at No Surrender, and despite having been in jail, he does not hit a woman, and has a solution in that in Tennille. Private Party are shocked, and Matt Hardy is livid.

Scott D'Amore moderates the contract signing between Tommy Dreamer and Rich Swann for their Impact World Championship match at No Surrender. Swann signs first, then passes the contract to Dreamer. Dreamer thanks Swann and D'Amore, saying there are people in the locker room more deserving than him of a World title shot and that he wants to seize every opportunity. Dreamer says he had to create history by beating two of his best friends - Taz, who was the best man at his wedding, and Christian - and tells Swann that he knows that Swann has a bad leg and that he will not hold back when he goes for it. As Dreamer is about to sign the contract, Moose makes his entrance. Moose says he rarely gets angry, then says the match taking place pisses him off as Swann promised him a world title shot first and says he is taking the night off. D'Amore tells Moose to be a man of his word and stand down, and tells him that if he gets involved, he will suspend him indefinitely. Moose says he has no reason to interfere, as he can beat Swann and Dreamer. Moose says he has beaten Dreamer before, and that he can hurt Swann before as he is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Swann says he is the real world champion, then Dreamer tells them to shut up and mentions a text message he got from Moose. Dreamer says Impact was about to cut Moose loose and that he needed Dreamer to light a fire under his ass, then says Moose does not get it and that everyone is united in their love for wrestling, saying he wrestles for the future, not for money. Dreamer says that he may get knocked down, but he will keep getting back up and that while he is still alive, he will continue to use his platform for good, and if he wins the Impact World Championship, his platform will be bigger. He tells Swann that it will be an honor to tear it up with him and help the world forget their troubles for three hours, and says he will leave the ring with him united in the love he has for the business. He signs the contract and shakes Swann's hand.

Before Shamrock gets in the ring, Sami Callihan shows up on the video screen and asks "Who needs friends when you've got an enemy?" He also says that Moose didn't listen to other people in the business and began making the same mistakes he made, and as a result, he has never been a champion and had to create a championship for himself. Dreamer says he has been beaten by better, and while the world is going through hard times, wrestling has not stopped, and while Impact Wrestling did everything they could to keep everyone happy and secure while everything else was going on, Moose continued to be ungrateful. Hernandez beats Madman Fulton to advance to the semi-finals of the Impact World Championship #1 Contender's Tournament.

We hear from Michael Elgin, who is irritated that Impact wants to hold a #1 contender's tournament for the World title and making him prove himself when he has proved he is the best for the last 18 years. He then says that what happens next will be on Impact, and if beating people isn't good enough, he will have to send some people to the hospital.

Backstage, Jake Crist and Dave Crist have to calm Madman Fulton down, then Crazzy Steve shows up and notices that oVe seems to be "over" and that it takes more than a madman to lead a flock. Ryan shows up and calls Crazzy Steve's use of "crazy" offensive to crazy people.

Kylie Rae beats Tasha Steelz.

We hear from Rohit Raju, who says that change is happening right now and asks when he will get his big break after seeing people come and go and get their big break while he stays a joke to management and the fans. Shamrock says he has had issues with some people in Impact Wrestling since his return, then says he is here for the Impact World Championship. Suddenly, Michael Elgin shows up and punches Shamrock out. Elgin then lays a chair on top of Shamrock's face and strikes it with another steel chair after saying that the World title is his.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says he has known Michael Elgin for years and that Elgin is trying to walk in his footsteps and outdo him only to fail. He says he is not finished with Ken Shamrock, and next week, his footsteps and Elgin's converge and only one man can advance. He says he will do whatever he has to do to win, as will Big Mike, and this time, it will be interesting.

Trey Miguel beats Rohit Raju with an inside cradle to advance to the semi-finals of the Impact World Championship #1 Contender's Tournament. After the match, Rohit Raju is furious with himself for losing.

We hear from Cody Deaner, who is trying to stay social and active and let out his energy in different ways (such as yoga, jogging and dancing in the middle of the road) while in quarantine in the middle of nowhere. Once again, The North win in comical fashion.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 5, 2020

Sami Callihan shows up to start tonight's show. Sami says he sees everything, and while the world sits at home, he will brighten everyone's day just a little bit. He says he had the fight of his life against Ken Shamrock, but he is still standing and it will take a lot more to keep him down. He says that he went toe-to-toe with the world's most dangerous man, and the referee stopped the match because he needed help, but he will be damned if anyone helps him again. He says that this is why he attacked oVe, as he needs help from nobody. Sami then proclaims that he has unfinished business with Shamorck, and calls him out. Shamrock shows up and tells Sami to open his ears and calm down, and says that while he has fought a lot of tough guys in his career, Sami is "one tough S.O.B." After listing off a who's who of people he has tapped out, including Big Show and The Rock, he says they have two choices which he is okay with: finishing it outside, or shake his hand and put everything behind them. Before Sami can make a choice, Michael Elgin shows up and says he is the one and only rightful #1 contender and that he does not need any tricks like Sami does. Shamrock, tired of hearing Elgin talk, starts wanting some action. After Sami tells Elgin that all he will do is choke like he does whenever he goes for the World Championship, Elgin punches Sami, and while Sami and Shamrock get a few shots in, Elgin rolls out of the ring before Sami and Shamrock back into each other. After a brief confrontation, Sami suddenly disappears.

We hear from Chris Bey, who states that he is the undisputed #1 contender for the Impact X Division Championship. He says he finesses what he wants, when he wants, and he will finesse his way into becoming "The Finesse Division Champion," as all he needs is one shot.

We hear from Willie Mack, who says that he is still high off his X Division Championship win and that he did not expect Chris Bey to come after his title so soon. He says Bey has finessed his way into him finessing his foot up his ass.

XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) beats oVe (Jake Crist and Madman Fulton).

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Mick Foley vs. Kurt Angle at Victory Road 2009.

It's time for Locker Room Talk with Madison Rayne and Johnny Swinger. Tonight's guest is Havok. Havok threatens to beat Madison Rayne up if she gets under her skin, then Madison brings up Nevaeh. Havok says she does not know why Neveah was at Rebellion, then Madison Rayne introduces another person from Havok's past: Kimber Lee. Kimber says she may be new here, but Havok knows who she is and she is ready for her rise to the top. Swinger gets between them to get pushed away by Havok, and Havok reminds Kimber that she knows who she is, too.

We hear from Cody Deaner, who says that he has set up shop in the middle of nowhere, and we see him getting yelled at by somebody at a nearby house, talking to action figures, and selling merchandise off the side of the road.

Suicide beats Johnny Swinger.

We hear from Ace Austin, who says that Chris Bey has no idea who he is dealing with and that his match is a triple threat match due to Willie Mack owing him a title rematch. He says that he will take the title back even if he has to pin "the new guy" to do it.

In footage from earlier today, Josh Mathews interviews Moose. He refuses to mention how he got his hands on the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and insists that he is the real world champion. When told about the upcoming #1 contender's tournament for the Impact World Championship, he is pulling out of the tournament because the Impact World Championship is "a second-class championship" and that his title is the best. Moose continues to insist that he won the title after beating several TNA legends, and says this makes him the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and declares the interview over to keep from putting his hands on Mathews.

Joseph P. Ryan beats Cousin Jake after grabbing the tights following a poke to the eyes as the referee is not watching.

Backstage, Jake Crist has to calm Madman Fulton, telling him he has to focus on the World Championship.

In footage from the Battle Arts Academy and the Don Kolov Arena, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) are introduced to a crowd consisting of a few training dummies. Page says that The North could vacation while stuck in Canada, but they will defend the tag team titles, as Alexander wants to inflict pain. The North are then introduced to their opponents, who are two skinny guys who come out to French music. Page makes fun of the two guys, who are known as "The Creeps," then they have their match. Page summons the referee by snapping his fingers, and the referee magically shows up. Not surprisingly, The North win.

At the bar, Rosemary wonders what to do next via some tarot cards.

We hear from Rohit Raju, who says that he would never be on the path to the World Championship, and with Moose having dropped out of the tournament, he has taken the spot. Now that he is on his own after three years, he will take what is his.

The superstars of Impact Wrestling are interviewed about what they remember about the rules of the King of the Mountain Match.

Scott Steiner shows up. He says that when he heard Impact was coming to town and TNA was invited to show up, he says that there was no way he wouldn't be coming, as he is the reason TNA has TNA and he does not care if he is politically correct. He says that Petey Williams will be his tag team partner in a four-way match at TNA: There's No Place Like Home, then cuts a Steiner Math promo and says he has a 141 2/3% chance of winning because he is Big Poppa Pump. Suddenly, Joey Ryan shows up. Joey Ryan states that he knows what TNA means, then says he does not know what a Big Bad Booty Daddy, genetic freak or Big Poppa Pump is. He then says Steiner should have been cancelled a long time ago just like TNA was. He then offers him a chance at redemption by joining #CancelCulture, saying goodbye to "Big Poppa Pump" and saying hello to "Big Proper Pump." When Ryan offers to shake his hand, Steiner beats him up and tells him and "the snowflakes" to kiss his ass.

We see a video package of Raven talking about the Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match.

Rhino beats Madman Fulton by disqualification after Jake Crist and Dave Crist attack Rhino. After the match, Tommy Dreamer shows up and tries to fight the Crist brothers, but he is easily overpowered. Suddenly, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Raven is in the ring with a Kendo stick, and he clears the ring. We see footage from earlier this week where Austin Aries meets with "Reborn" Matt Sydal and Josh Mathews outside of the arena. Aries congratulates Sydal on becoming X Division champion, and Sydal calls the title something he would not just give away. Aries talks about Option C, and gives Sydal a chance to become Impact Wrestling World Championship. Instead of proposing that Sydal exercise Option C, however, he asks that Sydal also put the Impact Wrestling Grand Championship on the line, as he has never held the Grand Championship. Mathews is vehemently against the idea, but a very calm Sydal tells Aries he has a deal, much to Josh Mathews' chagrin.

Petey Williams beats Suicide, Rohit Raju and Taiji Ishimori in a four-way match. After the match, Williams announces that at Redemption, he will cash in his shot at the X Division Championship on "Reborn" Matt Sydal. He tells Sydal to bring him his X Division title.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Eli Drake. Eli says he should be the man walking out with the World title; instead, he has a shot at the tag team title. He says that status, privilege and gold are all that matters, and the only gold that matters is the World title after saying gratitude means nothing to him. He says he has no tag team partner, nor does he need one, as he does not want a "cross-eyed half-wit stealing [his] glow." Eli calls himself "the one-man show," but then he comes up with an idea and leaves.

We see footage of Eddie Edwards in Dayton, Ohio. Eddie talks about how Sami Callihan injured him, and says oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) know nothing about who he is or what he is about, and if it is Ohio versus everything, then that is okay for he is here.

As he says that nobody dreams of becoming a professional wrestler and coming in second place, Jimmy Jacobs shows up. He tells Johnny he has no idea what his goals are, and Johnny takes this as a challenge. Jimmy wants to know what it is like being Johnny Impact, then says Johnny lives in a bubble that is about to be popped by the monster of reality. Johnny says reality is subjective, and if Jimmy wants to step into his bubble or the ring, he is fine with that, but he wants him out of his interview as soon as he says what he wants. Jimmy tells him he will find out, because he is a princess and he always gets he wants. He also says that Kongo Kong says hello before leaving, and Johnny tells Jimmy to tell him he said hello, too.

We see footage from during the commercial break where Taya Valkyrie talks about how she proved once again that she is better than Rosemary. As she talks about how she will always be better than Rosemary and that all roads lead to Valhalla, Rosemary walks besides her on the nearby trailer with a garbage can in her hands, and she eventually throws it at her. A backstage worker gets involved only to get smacked in the head with a trash can. Richard Justice pops out of a trailer to see what going on as Taya beats Rosemary up, , and when Justice gets too close, he gets laid out with a forearm by Taya. Taya then gets misted by Rosemary as soon as she turned around, and a blinded Taya attacks Amber Nova, who is being helped to a trainer's room. Wrestlers and officials have to hold Taya back, and Rosemary leaps off the trailer to everyone in the vicinity with a high flying cross body.

Moose proposes a match between them next week. If Eli Drake wins, he gets Moose's case, but if Moose wins, he keeps his case and gains Eli Drake's.

At Rockstar Pro in Dayton, Ohio, Eddie Edwards demands to know Sami Callihan's whereabouts and gets physical with some people at the front row. He grabs a Kendo stick and gets in the ring, nailing members of security with it before grabbing the microphone and demanding a match with Sami Callihan. Callihan shows up with a baseball bat, and while Eddie fights off oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan), the numbers game quickly catches up to him. Sami is about to hit Eddie with the bat again as Jake and Dave Crist hold Eddie up, but Eddie kicks him in the groin fights back. That does not last for long, either, as Sami Callihan manages to overpower him. This time, Sami tries to re-break the orbital bone of Eddie Edwards before hitting an assisted spike piledriver into the mat. The Rockstar Pro locker room surrounds the ring and sides with oVe.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says that Eddie Edwards would not walk into his home turf without getting his ass beaten, and that he let him leave so he can tell all his friends and family and let them know that oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) is coming to take down every person Eddie knows and loves.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 16, 2017

Alberto El Patron shows up...without the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. After saying that he loves Impact because they do not make him pretend to be someone he's not, he says that Impact is his house. Last week, he proved to everyone - including himself and the fans - that Lashley was beatable. He then says that if it were not for inside politics, he would still be World Heavyweight champ, and then calls out Lashley, wanting a fight. Instead of Lashley, however, El Patron gets Ethan Carter III, who commends him for relinquishing the World title after what happened last week, but tells him he can't just demand title shot and that he has to earn them. If he wants to earn one, he has to go through him, saying it's "Si vs. Three." El Patron says he has nothing against him, as he wants to fight Lashley and says the fans make the rules, not EC3. As he leaves, EC3 immediately questions the testicualr fortitude of Alberto El Patron, but El Patron gets back in the ring and tells him "I'm here to fight the big dog...not the bitch." After EC3 asks if there's nothing else he can do or say to get a match with him, El Patron repeats the "bitch" comment again. This immediately starts a brawl between the two men, and ever after officials and referees quickly rush into the ring to restore order, the brawl goes to the entrance ramp. Alberto El Patron gets in the ring and tells EC3 that if he wants a fight, he's got one.
