Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 23, 2026

Je'Von Evans is seen backstage with Internet livestream personality iShowSpeed before the beginning of the show.

Brock Lesnar and "The Oracle" Paul Heyman head to the ring to start tonight's show. Heyman introduces Lesnar, then the "Oba" chants begin. Heyman warns the crowd that they are pissing Lesnar off after Lesnar laid waste to twenty men only to be distracted by Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, causing "a overhyped wannabe ruler" to powerbomb Lesnar. Heyman asks how many times the same narrative has come out of the WWE hype machine regarding big men who will become "the slayer of The Beast" and Brock Lesnar's conquerer since Lesnar broke The Undertaker's undefeated WrestleMania streak. He says that The Undertaker never got revenge on Lesnar, then lists off those who were declared the one to beat Lesnar only to fall and declares that Oba Femi will be just like the rest, saying that Oba has peaked and that Oba will be beaten at WrestleMania. The lights go out, and Oba Femi makes his way to the ring. Oba and Lesnar have a staredown from the opposite ends to the ring to the center, and Lesnar kicks Oba in the gut and goes for an F5 only for Oba to slip out and clothesline him out of the ring.Lesnar is furious, and Heyman is surprised. Heyman holds Lesnar back as the two of them slowly heads towards the back. Lesnar tells Oba Femi that he is not that lucky.

We hear from "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, who says that his match with Penta tonight should not be happening, and if it were not for Finn Balor, he would still be Intercontinental Champion. He says that Finn got what he deserved, and warns Penta that this rematch will not go the same way as last time, for now he can focus and become the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, because he is the King of the Luchadors.

The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) beat The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) by disqualification after LA Knight shows up from out of the crowd to attack Logan Paul on the outside, allowing Jey Uso to get his hands on Logan's brass knuckles, which allows - and causes - Jey to punch Theory out in full view of the referee with a foreign object. After the match, Jey gets back in the ring and knocks Logan out with his right hand still in the brass knuckles.

Becky Lynch heads to the ring. Becky says she took ten months off because the fans got sick and tired of seeing her succeed and win world titles, and that she went home to her family who loves and appreciates her. She then says that she made a point when she came back by winning the Women's Intercontinental Championship and making it the most interesting and important title in all of wrestling, and says she is proud of the title and what she made it represent. Becky then says she has to watch AJ Lee prance around like she deserved the title, and when she returned to her sanctuary to take a break with the people she loved, her daughter was singing AJ Lee's theme and skipping around the house just like AJ. Becky states that even her daughter does not recognize that her mother is the greatest wrestler of all time, and states that AJ Lee's greatest claim to fame before that was defining the Divas era that she murdered just like she will do to AJ. AJ Lee shows up, and Becky retreats through the crowd as AJ approaches the ring. AJ wants to know what Becky will not fight her head on, and states that every time they have squared off, she has walked Becky like a dog. She then says that embarrassing Becky one more time and tapping her out at WrestleMania will be what it takes to get Becky away from her title and out of her life once and for all, and makes that match official with the Women's Intercontinental Championship on the line. Becky states that AJ Lee has skipped right into her trap and has no idea what she is in for, and while AJ Lee can shine from Monday to Friday, WrestleMania is her domain. She also mentions AJ Lee leaving WWE after her last WrestleMania, and says that when she takes her title back, she will do AJ the favor and the world will never hear from AJ again.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) thank LA Knight for the assistance during their match, and LA Knight starts thinking that Jey is sounding like Roman Reigns. Jey takes exception to this, and Jimmy says that CM Punk is about to learn to keep their family's name out of his mouth.

Boston Celtics shooting guard Derrick White and Celtics Head Coach Joe Mazzulla are seen in the crowd.

Je'Von Evans beats Grayson Waller.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce is met by "The Oracle" Paul Heyman, who wants Pearce to schedule a street fight between The Vision (Logan Paul and Austin Theory) and The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) for the World Tag Team Championships next week in Madison Square Garden. Pearce makes it official, then tells Heyman to head to the ring to use his time to address Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Heyman acquiesces.

"The Oracle" Paul Heyman is in the ring. Heyman says he is having a really bad night, not just because of being relegated to a contractual appearance in Boston, Massachusetts after a 40-year career, but because there is no one left for him to hide behind. He says that Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed will not be coming back any time soon, Brock Lesnar is so pissed off that he left the building, and Logan Paul and Austin Theory are half-conscious while he is dealing with a stalker. He says that stalker is Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and that the both of them are men who have been pushed too far, which means that WWE is not big enough for the both of them. Heyman says this is not a challenge for a WrestleMania match or a challenge for tonight, and he asks what other choice he is left with than for Rollins to put him out of his misery right here, right now. A man in a black hoodie and mask heads towards the ring from out of the crowd, and Heyman says that man has to do what a man has to do as he looks towards the entrance ramp while the man in black is on the announce table. The man in black unmasks himself to reveal himself to be Rollins, and four policemen tell Rollins to get down from the announce table. Rollins gets down from the table and is led out of the building while Heyman tells Rollins he has violated a restraining order and is going to jail and prison while his life falls apart. Rollins then runs away from the cops and punches Heyman out in the ring, and the cops have to force Rollins to the corner and handcuff him. General Manager Adam Pearce is on hand to ensure that Rollins is removed from the building.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria beat The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane). After the match, Jackie Redmond interviews Bayley and Lyra in the ring. Bayley says they feel pretty good on their way to WrestleMania, and Lyra says that The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend) have their names in their mouths because they know they can beat them. Bayley challenges The Irresistible Forces to a match next week so they can prove how big and bad they are.

We see NXT Origins featuring Tiffany Stratton.

Backstage, Penta is met by iShowSpeed, and Penta teaches him the strut that he usually does on his way to the ring. Dragon Lee shows up, and Penta introduces iShowSpeed to him. iShowSpeed leaves, then Dragon Lee wishes Penta luck in tonight's match while Penta looks forward to having a rematch with him.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce meets with iShowSpeed when Danhausen shows up. Danhausen proposes that they stream together, and when iShowSpeed refuses, Danhausen curses him and disappears. iShowSpeed has no idea what to make of this as Pearce leaves.

Backstage, Asuka blames Kairi Sane for their loss tonight, and demands Kairi make it up to her. Asuka leaves, then Iyo Sky shows up and admits that while they have had their ups and downs, Kairi deserves better. Asuka then yells for Kairi, who is tormented as she leaves. Raquel Rodriguez shows up, irritated that Iyo Sky cost her the opportunity to beat Stephanie Vaquer. Iyo says she would do it again if given the chance, and Raquel challenges her to a match next week so she can finish what she started. Iyo accepts the challenge.

Before the next match, Liv Morgan is attacked from behind by Stephanie Vaquer, who also punches "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio in the face. Referees show up as the brawl makes its way to gorilla position, and both women have to be separated.

Penta retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio after countering a top rope frog splash with an inside cradle after Finn Balor shows up and beats up JD McDonagh. After the match, Finn Balor beats up Dominik Mysterio, and when JD McDonagh saves Dominik from the Coup de Grace, Finn takes them both out with a tope suicida. Finn goes back to attacking Dominik, and McDonagh saves Dominik once again. Dominik flees through the crowd as JD McDonagh ends up eating a Coup de Grace instead.

Backstage, CM Punk runs into Jimmy Uso. Jimmy says he is not telling him what to do before warning him to be careful, as his brother is on the warpath. CM Punk then heads to the ring. Punk mentions Jimmy Uso's warning, then says that Roman Reigns cannot do anything without his cousins and that the family cannot do anything without back-up, including being World Heavyweight Champion. He mentions Roman's threat that his whole family can come after him if they so choose, but none of them have looked at him cross. Punk says that people say and do awful things to each other to sell the big title fight, but these are just words, and he is tired of talking. Punk then mentions Roman calling him "old," then says that his "young boy" does not get to disrespect him and call him old. He then says that he is old, but he is also proud of where he is in life and being "middle aged and crazy" like Terry Funk. Punk compares himself to other middle-aged sports legend, then says that he is "Mr. Game 7" and proclaims that age is nothing but a number. He says he is old, but not insecure, and if Roman only sees an old man, he has already understimated him and lost. He warns Roman Reigns that he will tie him into knots and that Roman will be beaten by "the old man" at WrestleMania, then mentions that both "Main Event" Jey Uso and Gunther did not underestimate him and they still lost. Jey Uso shows up, tells Punk that he is old, hit in the head too many times and still running his mouth, especially about him. He says they can do it right now, and Punk mentions that Jey never got his rematch and that he can do this right now. All of a sudden, Jimmy Uso shows up and asks Jey what he is doing, saying that he understands how he feels, yet when he is angry, he sees red, and now their tag team titles are on the line. He tells Jey to leave Punk to Roman, as they have nothing to do with him. Jey says Punk has everything to do with him, then asks where Roman is, stating he is not even in the building. All of a sudden, Roman Reigns shows up, and he and CM Punk have a staredown. Roman says that last time he checked, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) already had a tag match, and since it is done, he respectfully tells Jimmy to get Jey and leave the ring. Punk says The Usos can stay, as Roman can use the help. This leads to Punk getting ganged up on and Superman Punched, and General Manager Adam Pearce shows up with referees to get The Usos and Roman Reigns out of the ring. Jey tells Roman to "smash 'em all" and get Punk, and Roman finally snaps and hits Punk with a Spear. Roman continues to attack Punk, then powerbombs him through the announce table. Roman grabs Punk and asks him what he is going to do now before leaving.

The Learning Tree ("The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) shows up, with Jericho carrying Gravity's mask. Jericho says it must be this way, as even after a generational career and one of the best careers in professional wrestling history, he must remind everyone that he can only be taken for granted for so long. Jericho says only so much can be taken from him before he takes back, and that he had to teach him and his entire family "a Learning Tree lesson" for trying to take the ROH World Championship from him. He says Bandido cannot have the mask back, as he wants him to remember the humiliation he felt when he took the mask, and that the only thing worse than losing the mask is putting it back on. Jericho then puts on Gravity's mask, and he can barely be heard as he asks Bandido if he is going to cry like his mother. Bandido punches Jericho in the face, then outsmarts The Learning Tree and yanks the mask off Jericho's face.

At the Performance Center, The Undertaker tells Shiloh Hill to show who he really is following the promo at the last episode, and says that he cannot miss any more opportunities, as he has set himself apart from everyone else. He tells Shiloh that the next opportunity is coming soon and that he must seize it. Afterwards, Shawn Michaels meets with the Legends and Future Greats, saying that some Future Greats have yet to get in the ring and that they will do so in front of a crowd.

The Legends meet with their teams. Elijah is about to have his first match in front of a crowd, and he feels he could have the best match with Antony Luke. Meanwhile, Chris Island has yet to wrestle in front of a crowd, and he gets a match with Drake Morreaux. Bayley Humphrey, who also has yet to wrestle in front of a crowd, feels a mix of emotions; she will face Dani Sekelsky in match. Sirena Linton and Penina Tiulaepa are also put in a match. Meanwhile, some of the others have a mixed of emotions, with Shiloh and Tatyanna Dumas wondering why they are not in the ring this week.

Bubba Ray Dudley and The Undertaker meet with their teams and mention their first match in front of big crowds to teach them what they should do. Bubba Ray shows his ECW debut, while The Undertaker shows his Survivor Series 1990 debut. Zena asks Bubba Ray how he got the crowd behind him, and he admits he has no idea. He says to do nothing of what he did, as it will not work for any of them, but at the same time, do all of this. Meanwhile, The Undertaker talks about how he got started in trying to make his gimmick work, and he tells everyone to take in their first walk-out, as they only get one.

Mickie James and Booker T show their first matches in WWE and WCW. Mickie James says she had never been in front of a large crowd before her WWE debut after six years of wrestling just to get to TV, and Booker T says that he was just trying to find himself just two years into his career, and that he was in the moment during the match. Booker T wonders how they will make the most of this moment, and Mickie James says that all they can do is over-prepare. She also says not to compare yourself to other people and to be kind to yourself, as no two careers are the same. She admits that it was exciting but also terrifying, and that she got over her nervousness looked up to make sure the people at the rafters could see her, because if they could she her, the ringside crowd could see her. Dani Sekelsky says that everyone in the Performance Center is blessed, and that she needs to take this all in.

Everyone gets ready for their matches. Bubba Ray Dudley tells Drake Morreaux that they not only need to get a point for the team, but that they have to make sure that Chris Island gets through the match, as well. Chris Island hopes that he gets a reaction. Booker T tell Penina to bring the hammer down when it is time to do so and to let the crowd feel it. Anthony Luke hopes that he can put Elijah Holyfield over as Maxxine Dupri shows up to lend support to him. The Undertaker tells Elijah - whose mother will be in the crowd after not missing a game in his past athletic endeavors - to take it all in. Dani Sekelsky mentions that she has some neck and back issues and hopes to get through the match, while Bayley Humphrey states that while the walk-out to the ring was potentially scary, it was like a switch flipped on when it happened.

Bayley Humphrey beats Dani Sekelsky by submission with a head vice. After the match, The Undertaker congratulates Bayley on having a good first match and getting the facial expressions down-pat. Bayley admits that she had fun in the ring. The Undertaker says that Bayley is unique and different, and that he is proud of her. Bayley says she is glad that The Undertaker is proud of her and that she is made to be in the ring. Mickie James gives Dani props for managing her injuries and lets her know that now is the time to ice up, which she does. Booker T and Mickie James give advice to Penina and Sirena respectively before their match.

Penina Tiulaepa beats Sirena Linton after catching her out of the air for a Samoan Drop, despite a few rough moments in the match. Penina feels the match could have been better, but it is what it is. Booker T warns Penina not to rush and to slow the match down, as does Mickie James, who recommends doing the hurricanrana out of the corner instead of going for a running leap for Sirena.

Drake Morreaux beats Chris Island. After the match, Island is satisfied with his performance, and also gets a pointer from Shawn Michaels: turn his hips during the forearms, which Bubba Ray Dudley agrees with, saying the punches looked good yet the forearms did not. Bubba Ray and Mickie James are happy with Island and Morreaux's performance in the match.

Elijah Holyfield beats Anthony Luke in his debut match with a schoolkid pin. The Undertaker is proud of both men for their performance, saying that the match that they had is what people pay money to see. Elijah meets with his parents backstage, who are very proud of him and his match before they also meet with The Undertaker, who is proud of Elijah's Performance Center progress.

The points are awarded. Booker T gives Elijah the vote for the men despite commanding Anthony Luke for being the ring general in the match, and gives Bayley the vote for the women. The Undertaker also votes for Elijah and Bayley, but also praises Anthony and Dani. Mickie James praises Chris Island for his good first outing, and while she was rooting for Sirena, things got sloppy in her match, and her vote goes to Bayley. Bubba Ray gives his vote to Elijah for the men, and Bayley for the women. This gies Undertaker two points and ties him with Booker T. Team Booker and Team Undertaker are tied with four points apieces, Team Mickie James still has two, and Team Bubba Ray still has yet to get on the board.

He also says that he has lost respect for Maclin due to Maclin claiming he has ducked him, when Maclin has ducked him to take out everyone else, and states that as long as Maclin stays a challenger, he always has a hypothetical chance of becoming champion. Alexander then tells Maclin that their World title match will finally happen at Sacrifice and that they will see if Maclin has what it takes, and if Maclin loses, he will go back down to the bottom of the ladder. He then accuses Maclin of being afraid of being a soldier with no mission and "a forgotten son."Maclin shows up and says he has had opportunity to challenge Alexander for the title and has watched other people challenge Alexander when he could have. Eddie tells Claudio that his apology means nothing to him and that the only thing that means anything to him is beating Claudio for the ROH World Championship, which his mentors have held. He says that lineage belongs to him, and says that Claudio is not an underdog and a fighter like he is and that he is a coward who did not do business with him the first time and will do business with him now. He also says that Jon Moxley cannot stop any of this. Claudio says that when it comes to being a fighter, Eddie was the one who quit when things got hard in New York while he stayed, and that Eddie talks the talk but cannot walk the walk. Claudio also says he is not scared of Eddie, but for him, as he is on a different level. Claudio gives Eddie the shot at the ROH World Championship at Supercard of Honor, then warns Eddie that he will outclass him before Eddie blames everyone else but himself for his loss and implodes, because he is the biggest waste of potential he has ever seen in his life, as he could have had it all only to have pity parties and implode again and again, and that it will happen again because Eddie cannot handle it.

Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for March 23, 2022

CM Punk beats Dax Harwood after countering a Sharpshooter into the Anaconda Vice.

We see a picture of a 12-year-old John Silver with Chris Jericho, then we see The Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, "Cool Hand Ang" Angelo Parker, "Magic Daddy" Mac Menard, Daniel Garcia) backstage. Jericho says Silver being in the main event with him takes him to a new level, but not his level, and that it will not be pretty. Daniel Garcia says that they beat up pro wrestlers, who he says cannot hang with sports entertainers, and Jericho says that they will "future endeavor" Silver like they did Santana and Ortiz. The Society then says that Santana and Ortiz are gone and will never come back.

Darby Allin, Sting and The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Andrade Family Office (The Butcher, The Blade, Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy) in an eight-man tornado tag match.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Wheeler says that Harwood went out to the ring and wrestled from the heart only for The Gunn Club to (Austin and Colten Gunn) show disrespect, and Harwood says that while there are some fans who don't like them do to what they've done in the past, they are not spoiled brats. He says that FTR give their best every night of the week, and says that Austin and Colton Gunn are just "Billy's sons" to him.

William Regal guests on commentary for the next match.

Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley beat The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) with a bulldog choke from Moxley to Garrison. After the match, Moxley says he is a very lucky man and fortunate enough to compete against and learn from the best in the world, and says that Regal's opinion is the one that he has cared about most. He says that the seal of approval from Regal is a badge of honor that he has to earn through pain, blood, torture and dislocated joints, and that he wears that "Blackpool badge of honor" with pride just like Bryan Danielson does. Moxley says that they were forged in combat, and anyone who wants to step in the ring with them needs to step up or get stepped on. He then says that if anyone has what it takes to ride with them, they much reach down to the place inside where they love pain. He also says that the only way to get the seal of approval from "The Blackpool Combat Club" is the hard way.

MJF and Shawn Spears head to the ring. When they do, a security detail stands between the ring and the ramp. MJF says it is such a shame that Wardlow could not get the job done last week, and says that he is a man of his word and honors his business agreements unlike Wardlow. He says that he meant it when he said that Wardlow could keep the TNT Championship, then says it is so sad that Wardlow could not beat Scorpio Sky. MJF then addresses CM Punk, saying he had him beaten at Revolution only for Punk to cheat to win. MJF tells Punk that there will be another match, and when there is, he will give Punk the most embarrassing loss of his career and it will not be over until he attends his funeral and pisses on his grave. MJF then focuses back on Wardlow, mocking the fans for liking Wardlow by saying they are inbred before calling Wardlow "a greedy little pig" and saying that if it were not for him, the fans would not know who Wardlow is, as he made him. He says that Wardlow had nothing until he showed, and now he has a roof over his and his mothers' head. He then says that Wardlow repaid him by costing him the biggest match of his career before asking him to release him from his contract. MJF reminds Wardlow that when he signed the contract, he signed with a deal with the devil and that the devil's deals are iron-clad. He then says that if Wardlow thought he had it bad before, he will make his life a living hell now. MJF tells Wardlow that he owns him as he stares straight into the camera, then Wardlow shows up only to be held back by ten security guards. MJF tells Wardlow he works for him, not AEW, and that he does not want him around her anymore. MJF then declares that Wardlow is trespassing and that he will continue to pay him to stay home until the fans forget he ever existed and he winds up the same way he found him: an absolute nobody. Wardlow is then escorted to the back. MJF then says that The Pinnacle is still around and better than ever without Wardlow, and Shawn Spears that when you're in The Pinnacle, you're always on top.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Baretta, Orange Cassidy, Wheeler Yuta). Trent Barretta tells Wheeler Yuta that while he never liked him, but if he wants to join William Regal, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, he is done with him. Yuta says he never liked Baretta either and that he wants to be the best wrestler he can be, not the best friend, and Barretta either gets it or he doesn't.

Adam Cole beats Jay Lethal with a low blow after reDRagon (Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly) distract the referee. After the match, Cole says there is nobody on the planet who deserves the AEW World Championship more than him and that Adam Page stole his victory at Revolution. He says that when he pinned Jungle Boy in their trios match last week, he saw fear in Page's eyes and knew that Page saw the man who would take his title. He says Page caught lightning in a bottle at Revolution and that next time, he will shove the bottle up Page's ass. Adam Cole says that he is a fighter while Page is a coward who is afraid to face him and reDRagon in the ring, then Adam Page shows up and gets in the ring. Page hits all three men with a leather belt, but Cole hits Page with a low blow and the numbers game takes over. Suddenly, Jungle Boy, Christian Cage and Luchasaurus show up and chase Cole and reDRagon out of the ring. As this happens, Cole runs off with the AEW World Championship.

We see a video package for Lance Archer vs. Dustin Rhodes this week on Rampage.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti in the ring. Guevara says that three weeks ago, he lost the TNT Championship, but it is what it is and he still has the ring and he will give a show like no one has never seen before. He says that he has been told that he can't keep up his style forever and that while he will pay for it when he gets older, it will be worth it due to the fans. Tay Conti says that he and Guevara want payback, and that Paige VanZant will get her ass kicked. Guevara then wants a mixed tag match against American Top Team right now. Dan Lambert then shows up with The Men of the Year (Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page) and puts them and Paige VanZant on a pedestal before mocking Guevara and Conti. He then says that American Top Team will stay on top while looking back at the bodies they've laid out, then The Men of the Year head to the back after laughing on their way out. After Lambert kisses his TNT Championship belt while telling Guevera he can kiss that match tonight goodbye, Guevara tells Lambert that if he knew what he and Conti did with the TNT Championship, then he would know that they live in his mouth just like they live in his head rent-free.

We see a video package for Swerve Strickland vs. "Absolute" Ricky Starks this week on Rampage.

"Legit" Leyla Hirsch beats Red Velvet in a match where Kris Statlander is banned from ringside after the ref takes away her turnbuckle hook before hitting Red Velvet with another foreign object behind the referee's back. After the match, Leyla continues to attack Red Velvet and puts her in a cross arm breaker before Kris Statlander runs into the ring and beats Leyla up.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Jade Cargill and "Smart" Mark Sterling. Jade Cargill says that after she wins her 30th match, she needs a big, green celebration with some fine exotic dancers and a green wardrobe fit for a champion.

Tony Schavione interviews Thunder Rosa on the stage. Before the interview can start, however, Vickie Guerrero loudly interrupts before saying that she is not a real Texan and to "take [her] green card, do the backstroke and return to Mexico." As Thunder Rosa talks back to Vickie, Vickie interrupts her before "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose attacks Thunder Rosa from behind. Vickie says that Nyla is a real champion and that no one is hungrier for the AEW Women's World Championship. (The promo ends up being met with so much backlash that AEW completely removes it from their social media channels and never mentions it again.)

Before the next match, "Magic Daddy" Matt Menard says that the fans do not appreciate the fact that Jericho allows them to sing "Judas" and that there should be no entrance theme.

Jericho Appreciation Society (Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia) beat The Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) after Jericho hits Reynolds with Floyd behind the referee's back to allow Garcia to make Reynolds tap to the Sharpshooter.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Trey Miguel, who refuses to answers any questions when asked about how he feels following his loss to Sami Callihan last week.

We hear from "Inevitable" Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Fulton gives himself a round of applause when he made himself a full-circle career moment at Sacrifice and beat TJP to become a two-time X Division Champion. He says that he knows what is like to be champion, and as soon as the championship is around his waist, the challengers are already lining up and wanting to be first in line to face him. Austin says everyone is hung up on the past, but he is not, and he calls the shots. He says that TJP will not walk all over him like he did when he arrived in Impact, and says that this rematch tonight will be his last and he will still be X Division Champion.

Backstage, Don Callis is met by Sami Callihan as he heads into the arena. Callihan says he is very rarely wrong about people, yet everyone thinks he is the bad guy. He says that he was doing the entire world a favor when he beat him up a few years ago, as he knew who he was since day one. Callihan says Callis is more worried about himself, but Callihan says that everything has been going great for him before wishing him well. Callihan tells Callis that he does not care who wins between Kenny Omega and Rich Swann, as they will have a death with the Death Machine and he will come back to take back what is his.

Deonna Purrazzo beats Jazz after Susan hits Jazz with a shoe after a successful distraction from the outside.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) are telling stories when Eddie Edwards shows up wondering why there are backstage, and tells them they are not "the boys" and are not welcome in the locker room. The Good Brothers leave, and Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus) laugh at them on the way out.

We hear from Johnny Swinger, who advertises Swinger's Palace, complete with testimonials from John E. Bravo, Alisha and a security guard.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Matt Cardona, who says that he loves it in Impact and that the handcuffs are off and he is ready to wrestle some new competition. Cardona says that always being ready is not just a catchphrase, and that being on top and always ready makes everything that much sweeter. As for his Twitter feud with Brian Myers, his showing up soon after Myers is a coincidence, and he is here to make his own opportunities. He says it is time for Myers to put up or shut up, and challenges him to a match. He also says that after that match, they are done regardless of who wins or loses.

Backstage, XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D) confront Trey Miguel as he goes off and throws things around. Tommy Dreamer shows up and challenges them to a Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match as a joke, then tells him to go to Scott D'Amore to face Acey Romero tonight. He also tells Trey Miguel not to let Sami Callihan get into his head, as it will only set him back when he has all the tools to become champion and it will send him down the same route as Tommy Dreamer went in the past.

Rohit Raju beats Fallah Bahh after jumping into the crucifix bomb and using Fallah's own momentum against him to pin his shoulders to the mat while also grabbing the tights following another Banzai Drop in the middle of the ring as Rohit goes for a Sunset Flip.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) head to Kenny Omega's dressing room, but Kenny is not there. It does not take them long to head elsewhere.

Kenny Omega and Don Callis head to the ring. Callis says that Omega will not only make a home in Impact, but that he will also take the Impact World title. He mentions his conversation with Rich Swann in the ring last week, and says that the one thing Swann cannot get out of his head is the One-Winged Angel. Callis says that Swann can prepare all he wants, but Omega just has to hit that move once, as nobody has ever kicked out of it. Omega says he gave Swann a taste of things to come, then he and Callis agree that he needs more championship gold. Callis says he is willing to do anything to suck every drop of blood out of the company if it helps Kenny Omega, then debuts a vignette that pays tribute to the One-Winged Angel. After the vignette, Omega says that everyone started walking on eggshells when he arrived, and that the only reason he is here is for the Impact World Championship. He says that while Rich Swann wants to be part of history like him, he will become a footstep in history when he wins the Impact World Championship, and says that while his debut was the greatest day in Impact history, for him, it was Tuesday. He then says that it will become evident that Impact has nobody who can even compete with him, and that he will lose the Impact World Championship when he is dead. He says that he will beat Swann for the title, for it is history. Omega then tells everyone to get ready for the show, and Callis says that they will make history at Rebellion.

We hear from Eric Young, who says that remorse is a symptom of "the disease." He says that Rhino had what it took to be a monster in his DNA, and that he just had to awaken it. As he says this, Rhino is baptized in the holy waters of change and indoctrinated into Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner).

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Havok and Nevaeh. Nevaeh says they are doing well as a team, but as Havok says this could be momentum to go for the Knockouts tag team titles, Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) show up. Hogan tells them that they can step up to the plate if they want to, but that they will have to earn a tag team title shot before she and Steelz leave. Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K then show up. Tenille mocks Neveah for nothing winning a match on her own, saying she has not found the right partner yet. As Kale tries to take a picture of Tenille and Nevaeh, Havok is forced to stand between them.

Trey Miguel beats Acey Romero. After the match, Larry D attacks Trey Miguel from behind and Acey Romero joins in. Suddenly, Sami Callihan teleports into the ring and hits Acey with a bat. Trey goes for a superkick on Sami when Larry D grabs him, but Sami ducks and Larry gets kicked instead. Sami then teleports out of the ring.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Rich Swann, who says he is not flustered by what Kenny Omega and Don Callis had to say earlier as he has to face adversity his whole life. He says that he had to go through a lot to become Impact World Champion and that mind games will not throw him off, and while he will give Omega credit for beating him, he has gotten the best of Omega when it is just them one-on-one. He says that all he has to prepare for is the One-Winged Angel and asks Omega how he will prepare for all the situations he got the best of him as he says that he will come out on top.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin. Storm hopes to make his 1000th match in Impact Wrestling special with some beer, then says that if Violent By Design wants to increase their numbers, that is fine, for he has done and seen it all in Impact Wrestling. He says that his and Eric Young's history in Impact goes all the way, and says that if he wants to go, he's his huckleberry. Suddenly, Scott D'Amore shows up and makes Storm vs. Young the main event for next week.

"Machine Gun" Karl Anderson beats Eddie Edwards after Anderson kicks out of a roll-up and sends Eddie head-first into a chair being held by "The Big LG" Doc Gallows. After the match, Juice Robinson and David Finley show up on the video package and mock The Good Brothers (Gallows and Anderson), saying that they will be having a good time and a few drinks just like old times.

Heyman then says that Lesnar will answer McIntyre's next prayer concerning WrestleMania and make his end quick, but not painless. Heyman also says that McIntyre will main event WWE for years to come after what he did to Lesnar, but after WrestleMania, McIntyre will be just another of Lesnar's victims and Lesnar will stay WWE Champion.

All of a sudden, a steel chair is smashed into Shayna's back, and when the lights come back on, it is revealed that Becky has attacked Shayna from behind.

Kevin Owens is in the ring. He states that Seth Rollins was nowhere to be found when he offered his challenge, and says that he knows that Seth is here tonight and that he is all ears if he has something to say. Rollins soon shows up. He tells Owens that he was looking for him and that he has a few questions regarding his comments from last week, then asks Owens if he honestly believes that fighting him in the Performance Center gives him an edge. Rollins then states he did not train in the WWE Performance Center because it did not exist yet, and that it was built off his blood, sweat and success while he trained in a warehouse and was told his past work did not matter. Nevertheless, he had to keep coming back and suffer and succeed for people like Owens, so that they could get the chance to train in a beautiful building like this. He then says that Owens refuses to fall in line, and says nothing involving the building exists without him. He also states that without him, there is no Owens. Rollins then asks why Owens picked WrestleMania as the one time to try to make an example out of him, given his track record at the event. Rollins says he has more WrestleMania moments than he can count while Owens has zero and a track record at the event that is nothing but failure after failure. He says that Owens cannot beat him on his worst day and that WrestleMania is not it, as he is a god under pressure. Rollins tells Owens that he does not stand a chance, then leaves.

Randy Orton shows up. He says that over the last few months, he has done and said some things that have been misunderstood, and that his actions have come from a place of love but have only been taken as actions of violence and brutality. Orton says he is here to respond to Edge's challenge, but first, he has to apologize for lying to his wife Beth Phoenix when he said Edge was a junkie for the roar of the crowd; instead, Edge is a junkie for his own ego. He then admits that he was handed an opportunity because of who he was and what his last name is as Edge said, but he says this does not guarantee a Hall of Fame career, as he had to earn the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships. He then says he had to take the torch from Mick Foley by beating him up when Foley did not pass the torch to him, and went from being a third-generation prospect to the three most dangerous initials in the process thanks to his own grit. He considers grit to be longevity in a business that rarely has any, and being the only constant in a locker room that has not accomplished even nearly as much as he has, then calls Edge calling him an entitled brat ironic, as Edge would have done the same things he did. Orton then says that he has done and said what he has done in the last few months to Edge because he loves him, and after Edge's challenge of a Last Man Standing Match at WrestleMania, Edge may be writing the story, but he will write the last chapter and end it. Orton then accepts Edge's challenge.

EC3 agrees that the fans here are the best, as well as the people behind the show every week, and says he's done just about everything in Impact. He says that the top man is reporting for duty, and says that with everybody's help, Impact will be made great. But he says he's not doing it for the Angle family; instead, he's doing it for the Carter family. Josh Mathews interrupts, calling Karen an "evil, tryant queen" and complains about all the changes and news faces that have happened and shown up over the last few weeks, and then says his problem is with Karen, and asks Karen if she even knows who his wife is. He then says it'll be a matter of time before the Jarrett family is gone from Impact Wrestling forever. Karen then slaps Josh in the face, telling him not to involve her family in anything ever again.

Underground Sound - Lucha Underground recap for March 23, 2016

Before Lucha Underground went on the air tonight, El Rey Network uploaded a YouTube-exclusive four-way dance. At the start of this match, Catrina announced that the four participants - Joey Ryan, Mr. Cisco, Cortez Castro and Killshot - would be fighting for the last spot in Aztec Warfare. In the end, Joey Ryan would steal a victory from Killshot to go on to Aztec Warfare.

Pentagon Jr. tells Fenix that he's taking the Lucha Underground title. Catrina appears and says that his master may be teaching him the dark arts, but he doesn't know the darkness. We also find out that Pentagon Jr. is not in Aztec Warfare for putting his hands on Catrina. Pentagon Jr. doesn't care, as he only cares about doing his master's bidding and he has zero fear. Catrina says the only reason Pentagon Jr. has zero fear is that he does not know true fear. As for Fenix, Catrina tells him that Mil Muertes is taking the Lucha Underground title back. Catrina disappears, and both Fenix and Pentagon Jr. look at each other before they leave the locker room.

Famous B is seen watching Aztec Warfare from ringside, scouting the competition.

Rey Mysterio, Jr. makes his Lucha Underground debut in this match, coming in at #2. Dragon Azteca, Jr. debuts alongside him at #18. Argenis makes his return to the temple at #4, as does Mascarita Sagrada at #12 and Aerostar at #17.

When Joey Ryan shows up at #6, he handcuffs himself to the stands to keep himself from being eliminated. Famous B hands Ryan his business card, and Ryan also suffers some embarrassing abuse from the 19 other competitors.

Drago and Jack Evans' fight goes all over the temple, including the stands. It gets even more nuts when "The Darewolf" P.J. Black joins in.

When Mil Muertes shows up at #20, he is attacked from behind with a steel chair by Pentagon Jr. This leads to his eventual elimination, and Catrina slaps Vampiro for being in the temple as she tells him to get out.

After Mil Muertes is eliminated, the countdown clock runs one more time, and Matt Stryker chalks it up to a technical glitch. When it hits zero, however, Dario Cueto returns to reclaim his temple. He then introduces Entrant #21: his brother, Matanza Cueto. The beast - Dario Cueto's own brother - is finally unleashed on Lucha Underground...and Fenix is the first person he eliminates. He also frees Joey Ryan from the stands before he eliminates him as well. Everyone seemingly lines up to be slaughtered as Matanza eliminates all comers to become the new Lucha Underground Champion.
