Sting is introduced, and he heads to the ring. Schiavone links Ted Turner to him and Sting being friends all these years, and Sting calls Turner "an all-in billionaire who loved pro wrestling" who was completely committed and devoted to NWA and WCW, even when NWA and WCW were in the red, as he had deep pockets. On the subject of tonight's show, Sting says he and Darby took a blowtorch to this place for three-and-a-half years. He says that it is a great night to see Darby Allin defend the world title, then calls Tony Kahn "another all-in billionaire who is keeping the ball rolling." Jericho shows up with Big Bill and says it is great to have Hook, hopes that Hook had learned a few lessons after last time, then says it is great to share the spotlight with Hook. Hook says he wants the spotlight on Jericho when he beats him for the FTW Championship tonight. Jericho says this is a teaching moment, not a fighting moment, and tells Hook that the world does not revolve around him and that he should be less selfish like him. Jericho says he and Big Bill are here to entertain everyone tonight, and tells Hook that he must work his way back up when he loses a championship and that he and a few others will have a qualifying match, and if Hook wins, he has the chance to face him again. Hook accepts, then hits Jericho in the head with the microphone and beats him up. Big Bill grabs Hook from behind, and the numbers game quickly takes over. Shibata asks Hook if that means beating him, as he wants another shot at Jericho. Hook says that is fine by him, then Samoa Joe shows up and says he thought Hook was something special until Jericho had him at Shibata's neck, and tells him that if they would stop getting at each other throats, they would be dangerous in AEW. Hook tells Joe he will fight him, and Shibata says Joe is too large to be wearing a floral pattern.

Backstage, Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett, Wardlow) and Will Ospreay have a backstage interview with a "no physicality" clause. Ospreay says that he has a bad taste in his mouth after last week, and says that Roderick Strong is only comfortable as champion because he is surrounded by Undisputed Kingdom and because he has retired the Tiger Driver '91. He tells him that he has done the Tiger Driver '91 on people he has loved and respected and admits he has no respect for Roddy as Roddy has none for him. Roddy says Ospreay is right about that, as he is talented in the ring and an idiot out of it, and while Ospreay has a wife and child, he still acts like the same immature little boy. He says his neck injured, but he does not quit, and he does not care what people think of Ospreay because he knows Ospreay is a fraud. Ospreay says Roddy will learn a lesson after looking down at him for years when he shows him why he is on another level.
Renee Paquette moderates a contract signing between Mercedes Moné and Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship at Double or Nothing. Mercedes arrives first, followed by Willow. Willow says she respects Mercedes and everything she has done in her career, but she wants to know if she respect the TBS Championship, which celebrates the legacy of professional wrestling over the last fifty years on a foundation built on fighting. She says that she is the face of TBS, and that "Nothing matters, smile anyway" means that her smile is her strength and that the TBS Championship matters, and she will not let Mercedes take the title from her. She then signs the contract. Mercedes says "Money changes everything" is a fact, not a catchphrase, as she was changing the game while Willow was still training and breaking glass ceilings as she made her way to the top. Mercedes tells Willow that she respects her and that she is a great champion, but there is a difference between being great and being the greatest of all time. She says that she is the new face of TBS, and while the best part of Willow's career was beating her, her loss to her at Double or Nothing will still be the best part of her career, as her legacy is all about winning. Mercedes signs the contract. Willow reminds Mercedes that she walked out as champion while Mercedes did not walk out at all last time they wrestled. Mercedes slaps Willow, starting a brawl, and Willow responds with a Doctor Bomb through the table.

(With this match airing on TBS instead of TNT, this is the first time TBS has aired a wrestling match on a Saturday night since the end of WCW Saturday Night.) After the match, Danielson asks the fans to give a round of applause to Top Flight, saying that they are what AEW is all about. He says that the "AEW" chant at the start of the match warmed his heart before leading the fans into one. He also says that the first Anarchy In The Arena match almost ended his career, but he wants to be in the upcoming one so much because he loves AEW, and while The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry) are part of AEW's formation, they do not represent AEW anymore. Danielson states that founder and President Tony Khan has been at every show in AEW's history while The Elite, who help run the company, are not even here, then reiterates that he is in Anarchy In The Arena again because of what AEW represents and does. He also makes it very clear that he will do anything to protect AEW.
Roderick Strong guests on commentary for the next match.
Will Ospreay beats "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty after teasing the Tiger Driver '91 only to hit Moriarty with the Storm Breaker to spite Roderick Strong. We see footage from earlier today of Mercedes Moné throwing the first pitch for the Boston Red Sox.
"The Machine" Brian Cage and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat The Voros Twins (Chris and Patrick Voros) and Evan Rivers. After the match, Tony Schiavone interview Gates of Agony and Brian Cage. Brian Cage says it is not Swerve Strickland's house any more, then says that Swerve and Prince Nana are selfish and did nothing but take while leaving them high and dry until they needed them. He says that the three of them were looking for the leadership and guidance of someone like The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry), then Swerve Strickland's music hits. Swerve shows up and chokes Kaun from behind with a chain, and avoids Toa Liona. Brian Cage is able to catch Swerve out of the air, but Swerve escapes his grasp and lays him out before hitting Toa Liona with the Swerve Stomp off the apron. Bishop Kaun ends up being the recipient of another Swerve Stomp, much to the delight of the fans, before Swerve chokes him in the corner with the chain and tells him that he is coming for everything. Toa Liona soon barrels towards Swerve and tackles him, then tells Prince Nana that what he is going to do to Swerve will be his fault. Backstage, Christopher Daniels says he has not forgotten the sacrifices he has made for his success and where he has come from, but The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry) has. He says he has been with AEW since day one and helped make AEW what it is, but now The Elite want to make AEW about themselves. He says The Young Bucks tried to start a riot, but after he did his job to stop, they talked down to him. He says he will not back down and cower when they speak, but now they are punishing him with a tag team much. He picks Matt Sydal as his tag team partner, and when the bell rings, his heart, not his badge, will be in play, and The Elite's titles will not matter when they get punished.
Backstage, we hear from FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler). Dax Harwood says he has been in the business for twenty years and has never been in a match like Anarchy In The Arena, and after facing "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington, he now has to face "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. He tells Okada that he has never wrestled a man like him.

Hook tells Jericho he does not know who or what he can be, and that he cannot wait to show him.

As Christian begs Copeland off in the corner, Shayna Wayne gets behind Copeland and hits him with a low blow. Wayne hits Copeland with Wayne's World, and Killswitch hits Copeland with the Extinction. Christian Cage then readies Adam Copeland for the Con-Chair-To and hits Copeland in the back of the head and neck. Christian Cage kisses the TNT Championship as The Patriarchy (Christian, Killswitch, Nick Wayne, Shayna Wayne) leaves the ring and Garcia checks on Copeland.
It is announced that Adam Copeland has been able to walk to the back, where he is currently being evaluated.
Samoa Joe heads to the ring. Joe says he comes with a spirit of apology, as his becoming champion brought back a ranking system and everything had been going well until Swerve Strickland and "Hangman" Adam Page battled tooth and nail for 30 minutes last week to a draw. He says the championship committee "took a page out of the Texas playbook" and made his championship match bigger and dumber, and now he finds himself in a three-way match. Joe says a crime has been committed against him and must be remediated, and guarantees he will hurt at least one of his challengers and leave them both limping out of the ring. Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana show up, and Swerve says that this was not supposed to be personal, but Joe ran his mouth. He also says Samoa Joe brought his resume and not his reputation, and that hunger makes a champion and that he himself is about to become the greatest champion of all time. Swerve says that nobody outgrinds him and demands Samoa Joe look at his resume and put respect on his name, and says he has gone toe-to-toe with champions and legends and made AEW his house. Swerve says that at Revolution, nothing changes except for the fact that he will hold the World Championship over his head. "Hangman" Adam Page shows up and says he is not mad about last week's match before saying last week's match was "horseshit," as he signed a contract to a match to decide a #1 contender and Swerve could not beat him. He says that if it were up to him, the championship match would be between two men who respect and value what the World Championship stands for, but Swerve has been added to the match. Hangman tells Swerve that after everything he has done to him, he does not deserve one second of his time, much less five more minutes, because he could not get the job done, and he does not deserve to be in the match. Samoa Joe says "this walking domestic dispute" ends tonight, and as far as Swerve and Hangman are concerned, he is whipping both of their asses.
We see the premiere of "Timeless" Toni Storm's new film, "Wet Ink," where Toni Storm talks about her history with "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and how she got her into the wrestling world. After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews The Young Bucks in the ring. Matthew says they are undefeated this year, making them the top unbeatable tag team in AEW. He says that Top Flight are a great team, but after beating them, they are number one contenders. When Schiavone calls their attack on Sting "despicable," Matthew calls this a breach of contract for disparagement of the Executive Vice Presidents as well as a $1,000 fine before Nicholas shoulder barges Schiavone. Matthew says Nicholas is being a hothead, and helps him up while telling him not to let it happen again. As The Young Bucks are about to hit Schiavone with an EVP-Trigger, Darby Allin chases them out of the ring with a baseball bat. Darby Allin says AEW's mission statement was to change the world and calls The Young Bucks out for seeing nothing in him and hiring all of their "shit friends" first, and is thankful that there was an EVP with brains at the time (a reference to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes) and it was not Kenny Omega. Darby then mentions The Young Bucks praising their schedule and the money they are making as reasons for their re-signing with AEW, and says AEW's mission statement is dead and that this is "All Friendship Wrestling." Darby tells The Young Bucks have no idea what they are getting into trying to be the opponents for Sting's final match and that Sting has nothing left to lose, then says it is showtime.

Christian Cage says the town is full of "plastic, phony people" who are about to hear someone speak the truth, and it is lucky for them that they not only get to see Sting's final match in Los Angeles and his final match ever, which he guarantees, as he is tried of looking at Sting and his facepaint and watching people bow down to him and call him an icon while he lives off his past and steals a check like he has for the last fifteen years. He also looks forward to Darby Allin losing a mentor, and tells Darby that if he ever needs that fatherly guidance, he knows who to look for. As for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Christian says that if he sticks his nose in his business, it will be "his literal 'Come to Jesus' moment." Christian also says that Adam Copeland will regret ever signing a contact with All Elite Wrestling, and that while Copeland can fool everyone into thinking that he is here to tag with him one more time, nobody knows him better than he does and he knows Copeland wants to steal his spotlight. He says he is not the same person that he was back then, and while Copeland was coddled and handed all sorts of opportunities, he was stuck in the trenches fighting for every inch, and they will see whose career path served them better. He also tells Beth Phoenix to keep the kids up tomorrow night, as he will break Copeland's neck. Christian then states that AEW wants him on their programming as much as they can, then says he can beat the participants in tonight's four-way match to decide a new #1 contender for the TNT Championship all at the same time and that he will keep running things in AEW, for he is the system.
Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Big Bill and "Absolute" Ricky Starks. As for "Switchblade" Jay White, the AEW World Championship means everything to him and symbolizes all his hard work, and that Jay White - who reminds MJF of the parts of himself he despises - stole the title because he is insecure, and that the man makes the championship and that Jay White will lose because he is not on his level. On the subject of being world champion for close to a year, MJF says that the likelihood of that happening has always been "slim to none," and while the likelihood of winning both of his match at Full Gear is also slim to none, he likes those odds.

He says that this stems from a backstage incident at All In last Sunday, and declares that the incident was regrettable and endangered people backstage, including production staff who had nothing to do with it. Tony Khan says he has been going to wrestling shows for over thirty years and has been producing them for nearly four years, and that he has never - until that time - felt that his security, his safety and his life was in danger at a wrestling show. He says that he does not think anybody should feel that way at work, including the people that he works with, and he has made the difficult choice today at the recommendation of a discipline committee in AEW as well as outside legal counsel who delivered a unanimous recommendation. Tony Khan announces that he has followed up on that recommendation, and apologizes to anyone who is upset by this, including the fans, and states that despite this, there will be a great night on Collision tonight and a great pay-per-view at All Out tomorrow night. He declares last weekend and the last week to be the greatest in AEW history, and that the great momentum will continue here tonight on Collision and tomorrow night at All Out.
Tony Schiavone interviews "Absolute" Ricky Starks and Big Bill in the ring. Starks says he finds himself back at square one, for every time he has climbed up the hill, he gets dragged back down, but he always gets better. He says that he always overcomes the obstacle and gets better, but he is so tired of having to start over. He says he does it because he shows up and shows out every single time, and no matter how many times people try to suck the life out of him or use him for all he is worth, it never works, because you cannot put a lid on a boiling pot, for it will overflow. Ricky Starks then thanks Big Bill for overcoming obstacles and coming back better like he has, and says he believes in Bill and that he believes in himself. Starks says he is tired and frustrating, and while there are so many things he could say, he is a man and he will do what he needs to do. He says that he watched All In from home all because he whipped Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat and that he will be damned if he lets another opportunity slip through his hands and that he is challenging Steamboat to a strap match at All Out. He hopes that Steamboat will see things from his perspective one day and why he did what he did, but until then, he is not letting another moment pass him by tomorrow night and that he is calling his shot tonight and allowing Steamboat to call his. Steamboat shows up and says he has complained not once on social media about what happened between them four weeks ago, and yet he has heard about Starks' no-disqualification strap match challenge. He says that Starks has game and can perform in the ring when he really wants to, then produces a contract - with Ricky Steamboat mentioned on the contract as just "The Dragon" - for the match that both of them can sign so that "the pen can talk, but not the mouth." Starks signs the contract, then says that everyone may know him as "The Dragon," they also know another man: "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Starks says that if this is the bed that he lays, then he guesses he should make himself comfortable. Steamboat says they just wanted to make sure he got what he wanted, and that Starks has his strap match. Starks storms out of the ring and leaves with Big Bill as Danielson celebrates with Steamboat in the ring.
We hear from Jon Moxley, who says to beat the rock upon which the waves crash and even the raiging seas fall still around you. He uses this as a comparison to Orange Cassidy as AEW International Champion, calling him "the game that no one can checkmate," "the puzzle that 31 men before him have failed to solve." He says Orange Cassidy would never win matches like those in the major leagues, much less in indy feds, and asks who Orange is pretending to be. He says this has been a long time coming, for he won the first round by forfeit and that is all he is going to get. He says that when one has fought at his level, there is always another championship and another big show as one win and loses against the best, yet there is always tomorrow and always another chance, yet tomorrow is once-in-a-lifetime because Orange is on the run of his life. He says that he can tell when he has won before the bell even rings and that he can smell B.S. from a mile away and know the real thing when he sees it, and Orange looks a lot like the real thing. He says that one way or another, they are going to find out on Sunday. He says that he is a technician of the highest order and that he will not target any specific body part when he will target his soul, his heart, his guts, his conditioning, his endurance both physical and mental and his will to win, survive and even be here. Moxley says a lot of guys want to be perceived as great wrestlers but look for a way out when it gets hard, and he wants to know if Orange will look for a way out when it gets hard. He says a lot of people believe in Orange Cassidy, and at All Out, he had better not disappoint them.

Reynolds says he helped MJF to become a pro wrestler and told him that if he wanted to succeed, he would have to do whatever it took to win, and he has and he cannot be prouder of him. He then says that only one of them took that advice, but tomorrow night, all that changes, as they need the Ring of Hnor tag team titles more than MJF and Adam Cole do and that they will do whatever it takes to win because they have to.

After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Nick Wayne, who says that while he is frustrating about losing tonight, he is more frustrated about Darby Allin forgiving AR Fox. Darby shows up and says he has known Nick says he was eight years old and that they have been so much, and that he was trained by Nick's father Buddy Wayne. As for why he forgave AR Fox, he mentions what happened between him and Buddy Wayne and how he never talked to him or anyone in his family for three years and how Buddy's passing caused him to be unable to mend fences with him, leaving him to live with his decisions for the rest of his life. Darby says he wishes he could have made things right, then mentions that AR Fox was one of his trainers and that he had to let the hate go, which is why he forgave him. He asks Nick Wayne to find it in his heart to let it go, then says that at All Out, he will be fighting for the TNT Championship, and it would be an honor for Nick Wayne to be in his corner for the match. Luchasaurus and Christian Cage show up, and Christian says it was rude of him to speak so much about Nick's father when he forgot to ask what his mother's name is. He says he could not help but notice her sitting at ringside, then says he should slide into her DM's and see if he can change that. He then mentions Darby's strained relationship with the Wayne family and calls Nick "[Darby's] personal pity project" and an attempt to justify that he is a decent human being, then says Darby should take after him as he does not pretend to be something he is not. He says that the people of Chicago, Illinois can smell a loser a mile away and that Darby is a loser of life. He also tells Nick Wayne to carry a towel to the ring tomorrow, as he will need it to stop the match when it becomes a one-sided massacre at the hands of Luchasaurus.

They then refuse to talk about Toni Storm, with Ruby saying that Toni will be fine - even though she saw her in the parking lot half-naked throwing shoes at birds - and that they will drop "the homegrowns" like they have been doing before leaving tomorrow night as TBS Champion.
Tony Schiavone interviews Dennis Rodman in the ring. Before Schiavone can find out what Rodman is doing in AEW, Jeff Jarrett, Karren Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal and Satnman Singh show up. Jeff Jarrett forces Schiavone out of the ring so that he can make a deal, then says it is great for all the legend to be out in Chicago, Illinois tonight. Jarrett says he and Rodman go way back and says everyone in the ring has something in common as far as being the best, being champions, striving for world peace and looking good in a dress are concerned, then mentions his and Rodman's pasts in the New World Order. He tells Rodman that if he wants to get some real heat and run with the bulls, all he has to do is join their family. Rodman says it is great to be in Chicago for the first time in 13 years, then Jarrett threatens to sic Satnam Singh on him as he demand an answer now. He says Reynolds and Silver are a great tag team, but they are not him and MJF, and in MJF's absence, he reads the words that MJF has for him. MJF states that it took nine years to get rid of Reynolds' bad habits because he is the drizzling shits, and that John Silver is the size of a dollar store garden gnome and that he did not know they could stack crap that high.
