The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia) beat Adam Priest and "Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington.

Satnam Singh beats James Tapia and CD Bennett in a two-on-one handicap match.

Josh "The Goods" Woods beats Angelico by submission in a Pure Rules Match. After the match, Serpentico has to save Angelico after Woods shifts into a Ki Lock, and when he does, Woods puts him in a sleeper hold while yelling "This is your future!" All of a sudden, Nigel McGuinness shows up and says they can do this tonight instead of waiting until Supercard of Honor if Woods wants to take liberties with other wrestlers. Woods says he will wait until the pay-per-view to beat Nigel in front of the world and leaves, and Nigel says he might take some liberties himself.

We hear from Red Velvet, who says that Supercard of Honor is all about proving she is the best Women's World Television Champion of all time. She says that she and Viva Van go way back and have both teamed with and wrestled against each other and knows how talented Viva Van is, and she respects that as well as Viva Van. She then says respect does not change reality and that she made her title important, and that she carries the women's division on her back with pride. Red Velvet says she is the R in Ring of Honor and the V in TV Champion, and Viva Van will be facing the backbone of the women's division, and when the dust clears, she will still be champion.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo) retain the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against Eddie Kingston, Ortiz and Mance Warner after Christyan XO distracts both referee Stephon Smith and Mance Warner, allowing Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo to double-team Mance Warner to win and retain.

"Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian beats Evil Uno by submission with the Vanilla Choke Zero after hitting Evil Uno with a 21-Plex to send a message to Bandido. After the match, Blake Christian hopes Bandido was paying attention, as he has proved week in and week out that he will take the ROH World Championship. He says that it will be like a changing of the seasons, implying that spring will come when he becomes the new champion.

We hear from "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty, who says that he has known Ace Austin for over ten years and has battled him throughout the East Coast, and that he will do it again in Maryland. He knows how amazing an athlete Ace Austin is and knows that Ace got one up on him, so he has earned this opportunity. He then tells Austin that he is in the ring with the best pure wrestler in the world and that he does not have an ace up his sleeve that can beat him.

In backstage footage from after All Elite Wrestling Dynamite, Ace Austin says that he is undefeated in Ring of Honor, and while he has lost more than he has won on Dynamite, he stood toe to toe with Will Opsreay and shook hands with him afterwards. He says failure happens only when you quit, but there is a lot to be learned from loss and has learned more from losses than any amount of wins, which is why he has yet to be beaten in Ring of Honor. Austin says his friendship with "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty does not matter and that their paths are different and that Moriarty has a firm grip on the ROH Pure Championship, but that does not last forever. He says that The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, Ace Austin) has beaten Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo, "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty) once and that it is only a matter of time before Moriarty loses that grip and he wins the Pure Championship.

"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo beats Kaci Lennox in a Pure Rules Match by submission with the Fujiwara Arm Bar. After the match, Purrazzo is attacked from behind by Diamanté, who hits her with the ROH Women's Pure Championship before locking in a Fujiwara Arm Bar.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) and Dalton Castle beat Charlie Malachite, Baby Keef and Xander Maddox in a six-man tag match.

Backstage, we hear from Athena, who finds it amusing that her opponents in tomorrow night's Survival of the Fittest match have knowledge on how to wrestle her after facing her only once. All of a sudden, Billie Starkz shows up angry at Athena for making things about her, but Athena says that Billie and the entire women's division should be thanking her, especially when she keeps Billie Starkz by her side after everything she goes through with her. She says that Billie and the rest of the women's division would not exist and that there would be no Ring of Honor. Billie reluctantly thanks Athena, who tells her to "follow the damn plan" or else she will have more than her to deal with.

"The Real Deal" Zayda Steel beats Hyan in an ROH Women's World Championship Survival of the Fittest qualifier. (Persephone is out with an injury, and this match determines who replaces her in tomorrow night's Survival of the Fittest Match.)

AR Fox beats "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne with an inside cradle to become the ROH World Television Champion! After the match, Lio Rush - now with a black liquid oozing from his mouth - appears on the video screen, saying the word "Tomorrow."

Before the next match, The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Stori Denali) are told that they suck.

The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Stori Denali) beat Jacey Love, Ricky Martinez and Ernest R. Alexander in a six-person tag match.

Bandido beats Action Andretti in an ROH World Championship Proving Ground Match. After the match, The Lethal Twist (Jay Lethal, "Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian, "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson) show up, and Blake Christian hands the mask he stole from Bandido back to him and making it clear that the ROH World Championship is the only trophy he wants now.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for January 22, 2026

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling talks about how he has not been attacked since 128 days ago when his bicep was ripped to the bone thanks to Story Denali. He then says that if the Dallas Cowboys had even one athlete the caliber of The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Story Denali), then they would have made the playoffs instead of watching from the sidelines like the fan. He then gives the fans the chance to tell The Premier Athletes that they rule only to be told they suck.

Adam Priest and "The Dynamite Kid" Tommy Billington beat The Premier Atheletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) after Priest rolls up Nese. After the match, The Swirl ("Vanilla Baby" Blake Christian and "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson) and Jay Lethal attack Billington and Priest, with The Premier Athletes joining in. Lee Johnson and Jay Lethal put Billington and Priest in stereo Figure Four Leg Locks before they and Blake Christian go further on the attack while The Premier Athletes leave.

Satnam Singh beats Josiah Jean and Dante Leon in a two-on-one handicap match.

Cru (Lio Rush and Action Andretti) beat Alec Price and Jordan Oliver.

Dalton Castle and The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) beat Auzzy, Hitt and Gino Medina in a six-man tag match.

We hear from "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo, who says that being part of Madison Rayne's last match means more than she can put into words. She says she has work to do in creating her legacy as the very first ROH Pure Women's Champion, then issues an open challenge to anyone anywhere, as she is a fighting champion by design and excellence is required.

"Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty beats "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard by submission with the Border City Stretch in an ROH Pure Championship Proving Ground Match. After the match, the rest of Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo, Trish Adora) go on the attack on Matt Menard just before he can shake hands. Shane Taylor Promotions - including the mystery girl - retreat when Skyflight (Scorpio Sky, Darius Martin, Dante Martin, Zayda Steel) rush to the ring. All the while, Moriarty is disappointed that the attack occured.

Diamanté and Billie Starkz Londyn Dior and Rachael Ellering.

Big Bill and "The Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith beat KM and "Mr. All Day" Will Allday.

Ace Austin beats Johnny TV.

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) vs. Deonn Rusma and Cal Bloom (formerly known as Von Wagner on NXT).

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling puts The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari) on a pedestal and calls Milwaukee, Wisconsin the capital of deadbeat dads, then says that is okay because they hate their kids, too. Sterling then says the kids can be part of a real winning family and the fans can be a part of their team. The three of them are then told that they suck.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) beat The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari). During the match, "Smart" Mark Sterling complains that it is illegal to do drop kicks in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Truth Magnum chases after Sterling only to be hit with a drop kick by Nese. Near the end of the match, "Smart" Mark Sterling gets involved only to get punched by Turbo Floyd before The Outrunners hit Total Recall for the win.

After the match, "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho and "The Bad Apple" Bryan attack Copeland, then FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) rush in to make the save. Referees show up to restore order. Security also has to show up to stop all of the brawling.

We hear from "Hangman" Adam Page, who says he has worked hard in his career to protect his family from the kind of prying eyes and intrusions that even a small amount of fame can bring, but in one night, that work was undone and his family was nearly torn apart. He says that this nearly broke him, as he felt ashamed after allowing what happened to his family, and that after a while, he would have to make a decision: remain the husk of a man that he was, or do something about it. He says he found Swerve Strickland and made sure that he did not hold the AEW World Championship, and made sure that he did not come close to having a family like his before splattering his brains. He talks about how he always listened to "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels for advice only to realize he had listened for too long, and says that Daniels crossed a line when he attacked him. He then says he will see Daniels in a Texas Death Match and warns him that he would rather injure and maim and tear life apart than be the man that he was last year. Hangman says Daniels made his bed, and that he will lay Daniels in it forever.

PAC beats Komander by submission with the Brutalizer after getting his knees up to block a top rope 450 splash. During the match, PAC grabs Alex Abrahantes on the outside, but Komander puts a stop to that with a springboard moonsault. After the match, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta show up from out of the crowd to gang up on Komander. Suddenly, The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) show up as Claudio punches Komander, and they fight Claudio and Wheeler, starting the next match.

We see a video package for next week's Dynamite.

We hear from Powerhouse Hobbs, who says that everything Jon Moxley is right in front of him and that he took initiative like Moxley wanted, yet Moxley retreated when he got in the ring. He says that next Wednesday, there is nothing Moxley can do to him before he makes him his bitch.

"The Glamour" Mariah May beats Harley Cameron.

Backstage, we hear from "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. He says that he always approached "Hangman" Adam Page as a friend, not as an official, and saw him go through the worst period of his life. He says that when he tried to help, Hangman responded with violence, and that it hurt when Hangman asked him what he has done in professional wrestling. He says he has won championship, main evented pay-per-views and wrestled all over the world while building two professional companies from the ground up. He says that he was AEW before AEW, and that he is tired of being disrespected. Daniels says that if Hangman wants a Texas Death Match, then he is willing to shed Hangman's blood while beating his ass.

Brody King beats Trevor Blackwell.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Brody King and Julia Hart. Brody says that right now is a confusing time for himself and The House of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) when Adam Copeland shows up. Copeland says he and Brody have been a lot, but at the end of the day, he respects Brody, Julia and Buddy Matthews. He says that they have potential and that he wanted to be part of a group with Brody, then says it is time to take the reins and run.

"Daddy Magic" Matt Menard guests on commentary for the next match.

Daniel Garcia retains the TNT Championship against "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata with a jackknife pin.

We see a video package for the Women's Casino Gauntlet Match, narrated by Renee Paquette.

"The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho beats Dax Harwood. During the match, Jericho tries to hit Dax with the Ring of Honor World Championship, but he gets suplexed. As that happens, Jericho punches referee Bryce Resmburg in the eye. Dax checks on the ref, but that allows Jericho to hit Dax wth the ROH World Championship. Dax kicks out, and Jericho then hits the Judas Effect to get the win. After the match, "The Redwood" Big Bill and "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith show up and attack Dax, but Adam Copeland and Cash Wheeler make the save. The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta) run into the ring to fight FTR (Dax and Cash) and Copeland, but The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) show up to fight The Death Riders. Copeland hits the Spear on Claudio, but Moxley shows up and takes out Copeland while Marina Shafir supplies two chairs for a Con-Chair-To. Powerhouse Hobbs shows up and fights his way to the ring and confront Moxley, and gies Claudio a spinebuster. Moxley hits Hobbs in the back with a chair, but it has no effect and Hobbs smacks the chair out of Moxley's hand. Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for December 12, 2024

Backstage, we hear from Billie Starkz, who talks about her Fatal 4-Way match tonight when she is soon interrupted by Athena, who calls an emergency Minion Empowerment Meeting. Athena says that Billie has had her , then says she owes her the biggest of apologies and tells her to lay down for her in the match, as she owes everything to her. She reminds Billie that she signed a contract and that she is a minion for life until she terminates the deal.

Athena beats, Red Velvet, Billie Starkz and "Legit" Leyla Hirsch in an International Women's Cup Qualifying 4-Way Match. At one point, Athena demands Billie lay down for her, but that does not happen when Red Velvet knocks them both out of the ring.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling says The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari, Josh Woods) there are "cosplaying nerds in the crowd tonight," and says that if anyone would like to cosplay as actual, respectable human beings and not "fat man and Dork Vader," they can buy their new T-shirts. He then tries to get the crowd to say The Premier Athletes rule, but gets told that they suck.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) beat The Premier Athletes (Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari).

In footage from earlier this week, "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes says that The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) can play their mind games and keep attacking him from behind, and that they do not understand that after 37 years, he has always gotten back up when he has gotten knocked on his back. He says that his family is passionate about what they do, then tells them to keep playing their mind games. He also says that Dutch has crossed a line mentioning his father and his father's bullrope, and while he understands that he trained with him and that he saw something in Dutch after he took him in, he has no idea what kind of man his father was outside of the ring. Dustin says Dutch does not know far he has gone by using his father's kindness against him. He says that he has walked through Hell and kicked the devil in the teeth, and now, it is on at Final Battle in a Double Bullrope Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships. He says that Sammy Guevara has always had his back and that they will deliver The Righteous straight to Hell where they can rot forever, and warns The Righteous not to mention his father again because it will be the last words that they ever speak.

Madison Rayne beats Allysin Kay.

We hear from The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver), who make fun of Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake), much to the hilarity of the three people in the background as Evil Uno is wondering what is going on. All of a sudden, the real Veterans show up, and Reynolds nearly gets shoved into a wall. Evil Uno stops a brawl by handing Grizzed Young Veterans their scarves back.

Toa Liona beats "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson. After the match, "The Judge" EJ Nduka confronts Toa Liona, but Liona walks right past him and bumps into him on his way out of the ring.

Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake) retain the New Japan Pro Wrestling Strong Openweight Tag Team Championships against MxM Collection (Mansoor and Mason Madden) after Gibson takes down Mansoor with a scarf to the throat behind the referee's back.

Backstage, Paul Wight announces that Jay Lethal is returning to competition. Lethal shakes hands with Wight as Sonjay Dutt sits next to him. Lethal says it is an honor to return at Final Battle, then says that it is imperative that he gets back on top in ROH and wants to know who his opponent is when QT Marshall and Aaron Solo show up. Marshall says his heat is with Lethal, not with Wight, and insists that Lethal face him after doing nothing of note in the last year and that Lethal is trying to rekindle a flame that never existed. Lethal gets heated with Marshall, who says that he will not ask for any more matches and says that when whatever Lethal has in mind does not work out, he is free to carry his bags just like Jeff Jarrett. Wight gets between both Lethal and Marshall as the former gets his hands on the latter, then Wight warns Marshall "Not in my office" before telling Lethal to take care of business with Marshall at Final Battle before they talk about his bright future.

We look back at Shane Taylor vs. Keny King in a Fight Without Honor from Final Battle 2021.

We hear from Shane Taylor, who says that he has been told that he is not worthy of championship gold and that he should know his pace. He says that he and the rest of Shane Taylor Promotions ("Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty", "The Captain" Shane Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo, Trish Adora) knows their place and that they are coming for everything.

"The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara beat Eric Dillinger and Josh Crane. After the match, The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) show up. Vincent stops Dutch, then says that if Dustin and Guevara want to fight tonight, he will let the fans decide, as he is "such a nice guy." He asks the fans if they want to see this match tonight, then says "Well, that's just too bad," as the fans do not deserve it and Dustin and Guevara do not decide when it happens. He says that in time, The Righteous will "ring [their] bell with Daddy's bell," where they will see nothing but polka dots. Guevara tries to hold Dustin back as Dustin grabs a metal folding chair.

"Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty retains the ROH Pure Championship against Matt Taven by subsmission.

Backstage, we hear from Athena. Athena hopes that Lexy Nair enjoys her trip to The Bahamas before announcing that "every porcelian hussy" is scared to face her and that she will forego Final Battle for a Fatal 4-Way Match at Wrestle Dynasty. All of a sudden, Billie Starkz confronts Athena. Athena says Billie owes her an apology and that she did everything for her, but Billie says she has done nothing for her. Athena says she took her under her wing and told her how to win the ROH World Television Championship, but lost it when she tried to do things her own way. After Athena says she is still trying to make things work and has no idea what to do with her, Billie challenges Athena to a fight at Final Battle in lieu of an apology. Athena, taking this as Billie wanting to lay down for her, accepts the match and puts the ROH Women's World Championship on the line, then says she will go on to her world tour.

Tony Schiavone moderates a contract signing between Matt Cardona and "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at Final Battle. Jericho comes out first, followed by Cardona. Jericho flips the fans off for chanting "Always ready" while he is in the ring, then brags about having more championships "than the Royals and the Chiefs combined" and being "The King of New York." Cardona tries to butt in, but Jericho stops him from speaking, leading to a "You're from Canada" chant that Jericho pretends to fail to understand due to the crowd having "too much of an accent." Jericho then tells Cardona that he is lucky that he is granting him a chance at the ROH World Championship, as he has accomplished so much in his career and being in the ring with him puts him on a different level. He wishes Cardona luck, but warns him that there is no way he is taking the ROH World Championship from him. Cardona tries to speak, but Jericho interrupts him again and gets another "You're from Canada" chant which Jericho pretends is "You're from New York." Cardona finally tells Jericho to shut up and tells him that everything that comes out of his mouth is "100% bullshit," and that everything about Jericho is completely fake, and that Jericho does not care about ROH and is using and leeching off ROH like he does everything else. He says that Final Battle is the biggest opportunity of both his career and his life, and that it is all about proving himself right, which he will do when he beats Jericho to become ROH World Champion. Cardona then signs the contract. Jericho asks Schiavone to step out of the ring before signing the contract, which he immediately delays in doing before frantically scribbling his signature on it. Jericho offers his hand, then Cardona takes it, whips Jericho into "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith, and puts Jericho through the table in the middle of the ring before raising up the ROH World Championship to end the show.

Here is the recap for tonight's show!

Anna states that "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo found out the hard way that she is "one fat ass that can't be kicked." While she cannot challenge for the AEW Women's World title, there are other titles, and she does not mind taking the big swing. She admits she usually says "try me," but it is time for her to try someone else.

Backstage, we hear from Don Callis and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says he had a front row seat when Takeshita destroyed Ricochet at Full Gear and it made him happy, and taht he is happy about the next year for Takeshita, where they head to the Tokyo Dome before making 2025 the year of his family and the year of Takeshita back in AEW. Takeshita says he dominates the ring and dares anyone to come and take the International Championship from him if they can.

As for Anthony Bowens and "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn, he says that he has told them to take the week off and that he knows they have his back this week, and tells Swerve that if he is a real rapper and wrestler like he says he is, he will accept his challenge and take this ass-whipping like a man.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats Wheeler Yuta after the rest of The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir) show up to watch the finish of the match. After the match, Hangman, knowing that The Death Riders are watching in the crowd, attacks Yuta again, then grabs a metal folding chair and wraps it around his head before "Switchblade" Jay White shows up with a metal folding chair of his own. The Death Riders leave before telling Yuta that "the real king" is coming for "his king" Moxley and the AEW World Championship.

Backstage, Thunder Rosa hypes up tonight's Rampage before mentioning that she has seen Dynamite and that people "The Glamour" Mariah May stabbing friends on the back because they are hungry and want to be on top. She says that also makes her a little hungry, and after she is done with "Harleygram," she will keep a close eye on the AEW Women's World Championship, as she has held the title and has also beaten Mariah May.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "Hangman" Adam Page, who refuses an interview before Interim Executive Vice President Christopher Daniels meets up with him, telling him that his quest for vengeance is poisoning him and taking him away from his goals and to let it go to become the man he needs to be and the leader that AEW needs. Hangman tells Daniels not to tell him who he is or who he can be, as he knows who he is, and if what happened him happened to Daniels, Daniels - or any man - would be this way. Hangman says the last thing he needs right now is "advice from an old man like [Daniels]," then leaves.

Mina Shirakawa beats Leila Grey.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Willow Nightingale. Willow says it is always great to come back and help a friend in Orange Cassidy, but after hearing about the International Women's Cup, it only feels right to represent AEW after being an international superstar and ambassador by defending championships overseas.
