Good Lucha Things - Lucha Libre AAA recap for February 21, 2026

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He issues an open challenge to anyone for the AAA Latin American Championship in his hometown, and the open challenge is answered by Belcegor.

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. retains the AAA Latin American Championship against Belcegor. After the match, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. calls out Santos Escobar, saying that he knows he is in the building before daring him to come to the ring. Escobar shows up on the TitanTron and says he is not in Mexico, then says he only does what he wants. He says that he will face El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. only on his terms, for he is the hands of destiny.

Laredo Kid retains the AAA Cruiserweight Championship against TJP. During the match, TJP uses the ropes for leverage but gets caught, but when Laredo Kid pins TJP afterwards, TJP grabs the rope to break the pinfall attempt, but the referee does not see it. After the match, TJP attacks Laredo Kid, sending him into the ring steps and going for the ground and pound before the referee tells him to stop. He then grabs the AAA Cruiserweight Championship and smacks it into Laredo Kid's head before curb stomping him into the title's center plate.

Abismo Negro beats El Fiscal by disqualification after El Fiscal shoves the referee while attacking Abismo Negro on the Spanish announce table. After the match, security shows up and stops El Fiscal from piledriving Abismo Negro on the table. Abismo Negro sweeps El Fiscal's leg on the table, and El Fiscal is able to catch up to Abismo Negro by taking out a few security guards. Both men then brawl on the ramp before being separated for good.

Backstage, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. tells Santos Escobar that he is easy to find anyt ime and any place. He is soon attacked from behind by Escobar, who tells Wagner to be careful what he wishes for before leaving on his motorcycle.

Jesus Zuniga is in the ring to moderate the contract signing for El Hijo del Vikingo vs. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship at Rey de Reyes. Vikingo arrives first with Omos and Dorian Roldan, and Dominik arrives second. Roldan mentions Dominik calling out Vikingo two weeks ago to state a stipulation, and wants to know what Dominik proposes for it. Dominik says he will be the AAA Mega Champion for a long time, and that he will break Vikingo's record and make everyone think of him when they see the title. He then says Vikingo is like a cockroach, as he does not die. He then proposes that when he beats Vikingo again, he will never be able to challenge for the AAA Mega Championship again for as long as he holds it. Vikingo tells Dominik that he only needs one shot to beat him, and it is going to be a fact that he will beat and humilitate him in his hometown of Puebla. He proposes that if he wins, Dominik must leave Mexico and AAA forever. He also says that their match will be no-disqualifications. Vikingo signs the contract before passing it to Dominik, who also signs. Vikingo then laughs, calls Dominik an idiot, and says Dominik has no idea what he has signed or gotten himself into. We then see a video of Vikingo in a hospital, where he shows Mini Vikingo in his hospital room. He throws the flowers that he sent across the room and pats him on the chest before hitting him in the head with a clipboard, smacking him around, pulling an IV tube out of his arm, flipping the mattress that Vikingo is on over onto the floor, and laying a stuffed animal on the base of the hospital bed before telling Dominik that he will have a hospital bed ready for him. Dominik congratulates Vikingo for beating up a twelve-year-old kid, then says they do not have to wait until Puebla, as they can do this right now. Omos gets between Vikingo and Dominik, then El Grande Americano II shows up with a metal folding chair and smacks Omos in the back with it to no effect. El Grande Americano II leaves the ring with the chair and stands beside Dominik, but he is soon attacked from behind by El Grande Americano I. Dominik walks back up the ramp before El Grande Americano I flashes the peace sign to end the show.

Before the next match, John Skyler says Laredo Kid got lucky when he beat him on BTI, then says anyone can get lucky and that tonight, when he beats Laredo Kid, it will be all by himself.

Moose says that if D'Amore won't give him time, he will make time.

TJP beats Black Taurus. After the match, Moose runs into the ring and attacks TJP before tossing him out of the ring, then says that if Scott D'Amore does not have time for him, then he will have make him have time by hijacking the show again. As Moose sits in the center of the ring, security shows up and Moose threatens to beat them up if they get in the ring. Suddenly, Chris Sabin shows up for the first time since Under Siege and hits Moose with a missile drop kick before saying he is looking for a fight and wanting one with Moose. Moose retreats to the back.

Rohit is not happy with the Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship that has been made, Austin says that this would not have happened if Fulton wasn't dropped on his head last week. Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Chris Sabin, who says that Moose cannot hijack the show and injure people without consequence and says that "the real wrestling good" sent him to humble him. He then challenges Moose to a match at Slammiversary and dares him to step into the ring and prove how divine he really is.

Rohit Raju then shows up as Petey goes for the Canadian Destroyer and attacks Petey, but Trey Miguel shows up and lays out Rohit. He says that since he barely knows the talent and sees them as numbers on a spreadsheet, it is easier for him to deliver the bad news. As for the representative that is showing up, he is not worried. Callis says that whoever is being sent to the arena is more than likely going to thank him for taking care of a problem that should have been taken care of a long time ago in Sami Callihan, calling Callihan "a liability to the company."

Rosemary sneaks up from behind them and puts a stop to this, and when Fire and Flava back away, they run into Havok. Rosemary attacks Tasha from behind, then throw Kiera in the garbage. When Kiera gets out of the garbage, she finds a trash bag with the word "Mickie" on it. (This is a reference to Mickie James' firing from WWE, where her belongings were mailed back to her in a garbage bag with her name on it inside of a cardboard box.)

After the commercial break, security surrounds Sami Callihan in the ring, and Scott D'Amore has to show up and call security off and tell Sami that he is on his side, as what happened on Sunday was wrong and unfair and that Callis overstepped his boundaries. D'Amore says that the representative for Anthem is already here to look into things, and asks Sami to give him a chance to get things fixed as he is proving Callis right. Sami says is the heart of the company and does not like authority, then decides to do things D'Amore's way for once.Sami says is the heart of the company and does not like authority, then decides to do things D'Amore's way for once. Deonna says it really is "Against All Odds" and sees a potential Triple Threat Match as "absurd," then says she has beaten both Rosemary and Havok one-on-one and that neither of them have earned a title shot. She says that this is her era and that her empire will not fall just yet, and regardless of who she faces, the odds will always be in her favor.

Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) retain the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering.

Backstage, Sami Callihan says he is not afraid of Moose. Suddenly, Don Callis shows up and tells Sami he is pulling for him despite the fact that he is a "journeyman." Sami tells him to leave before saying he will beat Moose's ass.

Sami Callihan heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Sami says that ever since Kenny Omega showed up in Impact, all he has been seeing is "a bunch of bullcrap," which is why The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) cost him the match at Under Siege, for they are afraid of him. He says that one can plan for a guy like Moose or Rich Swann, but that one cannot plan for a guy like him, and says Don Callis will do everything in his power to keep Omega away from him because he is scared and knows what will happen if Omega gets in the ring with him. Sami then calls out Kenny Omega, but gets Moose instead. Moose says that Sami is doing a lot of complaining, then says nobody cares, because the last time he checked, Sami is not the #1 contender for the Impact World Championship and did not beat five other men at Under Siege. He then tells Sami to stay out of his business, because Kenny Omega is his business until Against All Odds, and when he beats Kenny Omega to become Impact World Championship, Sami can continue to complain so he can beat him too. Sami says Moose should find it suspicious The Good Brothers are attacking him and not Moose, because Don Callis knows he is unsafe and dangerous. Suddenly, The Good Brothers show up. Anderson asks Sami if he will blame them for not catching a fish or his wife divorcing him while saying he and Gallows are tired of being blamed for things, and Gallows tells Sami to stay out of Kenny Omega's and Moose's business, for they are on Moose's side. Moose says The Good Brothers may be on his side, but he is not on theirs, and attacks Gallows when he wraps his arm around his shoulder. Sami joins Moose in cleaning house. Backstage, Don Callis meets with The Good Brothers, who gives them a match against Moose and Sami Callihan.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Don Callis, who says that The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) vs. Moose and Sami Callihan is official due to his being Executive Vice President of Impact, then Scott D'Amore shows up. Scott D'Amore is shocked that Callis would make a match without telling him, but Callis is more concerned about meeting with Kenny Omega.

TJP and Fallah Bahh beat "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews W. Morrissey. Morrissey says that says all he cares about is other people hearing what he has to say, and that he has a realistic view of the wrestling business, as people kicked him while he was down and fans made fun of his pain. He says that when he was at his lowest point, nobody wanted to contact him and everyone laughed at him, and when he came back, everybody acted like they were happy to see him again to try to be friends with him because he is doing great. On the subject of Rich Swann and Willie Mack, Morrissey says they are not friends, and that Swann is only looking to boost his ego and that Swann and Mack are the same as everyone else who laughed at him. TJP and Fallah Bahh show up, and TJP wants a shot at the X Division Championship. As Alexander says that he has always won between them with the X Division Championship on the line, Scott D'Amore shows up and makes next week's pre-show match a 60-minute Iron Man Match for the title.

We see a video package where Jake Something and Rohit Raju talk about their history with each other, followed by Jake Something and Rohit Raju hating each other. Jake Something thinks Rohit Raju's mind has been warped, while Rohit Raju feels that Jake has been catered to while his talent has been swept under the rug. Both of them make it clear they want to win their tables match.

Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino) heads to the ring. Eric Young says that violence may be scary, unpredictable and chaotic for some, but to them, it is a tool, a vehicle and a well-lit path from where they are to where they want to go. He says he needed like-minded people with their eyes open who knew that the disease needed to be obliterated, and that he picked Joe Doering because he cut his own path of violence. As for Deaner, he found him when he was sick and at his lowest, and he opened his eyes and showed him the truth when he had no drive or motivation and allowed him to be "his pure self" and his most diabolical, violent, righteous and perfect version of himself. He then says that Rhino was sick, weak and a shadow of his former self until he opened his eyes and brought back "the war machine" with the most violent instincts in the business and a Call Your Shot trophy that they waited to use, and says it was all by design. He says that Juice Robinson and David Finlay are back in Japan and cannot get a rematch, then says that Violent By Design have come back more pure and more violent than before, and that the wrestling world will belong to them. Suddenly, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Satoshi Kojima of New Japan Pro Wrestling fame shows up. Satoshi Kojima stares down Joe Doering and says "Against All Odds," then leaves the ring.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Dr. Ross, who says that Matt Cardona has a fractured orbital bone and should be out of action for twelve weeks. Brian Myers then says weeks is not enough and wants to destroy Matt Cardona for good. Sam Beale shows up and unintentionally interrupts, then Brian Myers looks at him and tells him that while he could slap the tattoos off of his body, he will show him how to be a professional.

Backstage, Joe Doering accepts Satoshi Kojima's challenge. Suddenly, Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus) show up, and when Deaner tells them not to interrupt, Steve tells Deaner he is in Eric Young's shadow. As Deaner says that he has never seen more clearly and that he is in his purest form while calling Steve is a "sick freak clown," it is the clever ones who play the fool and that the foolish ones "do not see him" for it.

Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus) beat Johnny Swinger and Hernandez.

Backstage, Don Callis talks with The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson), saying they are family while Moose and Sami Callihan cannot stand each other and that they should have no problem winning.

The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) beat Moose and Sami Callihan after Moose and Sami refuses to get along when Sami tags in as Moose is about to hit the Lights Out. Moose pump kicks Sami, and when Sami kicks out of a schoolkid pin, he hits Moose with a pump kick of his own. After the match, Moose hits Sami with the Lights Out.

Here are the top five moments from tonight's show!

We hear from Matt Cardona, who talks about how he won big at Hardcore Justice - winning a match and getting some new action figures - and says that he wants nothing to do with Brian Myers and did not want things to come to this, but they have, and if Myers gets to pick his opponent tonight, he is always ready.

Taylor Wilde returns to Impact Wrestling soon.

"Machine Gun" Karl Anderson beats Crazzy Steve following the distraction from "The Big LG" Doc Gallows.

Petey Williams - dressed up like Scott Steiner - shows up and provides some Steiner Math (or in this case, either Alexander Math or Maple Leaf Math), much to the surprise of everyone at Swinger's Palace. Alexander says he is not worried about the odds as he leaves, then Johnny Swinger proclaims that he is going to be "The Million Dollar Swing Man."

Eddie Edwards and Willie Mack are in the ring. Eddie says they have been friends for a long time, but they have been in the wrestling business for a long time, and while they lost at Hardcore Justice, they are not focused on that. Eddie says they are here because Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino) thought it was a good idea to lay out Tommy Dreamer and that they are here to make this right, for when you mess with Dreamer, you messing with them and the Impact family. He says they are looking for a fight, not a rematch, and tells Violent By Design to come to the ring and take an ass whupping like a man. Violent By Design show up, and Eric Young admits that he approved of what happened to Tommy Dreamer, then says he is not a liar and told him he would take the World title from and did, then says he and his men had nothing to do with it. Nevertheless, Eddie wants a fight, and tells them to get in the ring. Suddenly, "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin run into the ring to even the numbers, causing Violent By Design to quickly retreat. Storm compares Violent By Design to a pack of wolves, saying they are ready to attack when the odds are in their favor, then challenges them to a eight-man tag match at Rebellion.

Backstage, Susan tells Deonna Purrazzo that she feels like her self. Scott D'Amore shows up and tells them to let Jazz have her moment during her retirement ceremony and to not ruin the moment. Purrazzo agrees, saying she was not planning on it.

Tennille Dashwood hosts the first-ever edition of All About Me. Tonight's guests are herself and Kaleb. Tennille and Kaleb bring out Gia Miller, who notices that the set is the same as Madison Rayne's Locker Room Talk. Tennille says she is sure she will win the Knockouts Championship because she is good at just about everything. She says that Impact Wrestling kickstarted women's wrestling, but she spread it with her influence, then says that Deonna Purrazzo has never beat her and that she will win because of this.

Jazz heads to the ring with Jordynne Grace for her retirement ceremony. Jazz says that she came to Impact hoping that she would have one more title run, but that did not happen at Hardcore Justice. She says that going into Hardcore Justice, she knew Deonna Purrazzo would give her a run for her money, but she felt she had one more run. She says that she felt that fire that she had fifteen years ago, but Deonna, being the true champion that she is, is the present and the future of women's wrestling. Jazz says that when Jordynne Grace gave her the call and asked her to tag with her, she knew they would end up victorious, and while they had a few wins, she had the Knockouts tag titles on their minds. She thanks Jordynne for considering her as a tag team partner and tells her that her future is bright, and thanks her and the Impact family for welcoming her with open arms, saying the last few months made for a great farewell. Suddenly, Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) show up. Hogan says it is about time that Jazz left, as Jazz could win when it counted, and Tasha says it was about time Jazz went to the retirement home. As they mock Jazz, Jordynne tells Fire 'n Flava that they were not invited because they talk too much and tells them to shut up for once in their lives or at least say what they want to say in the ring. A referee shows up and tells Fire 'n Flava that they have a match, and they find out that the match is against Jazz and Jordynne Grace.

Jazz and Jordynne Grace beat Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz). After the match, Jazz says that it is time that she fully says that this is it, and announces her retirement. She thanks the fans over the years for the love and support, for without them, there would be no "female fighting phenom" or "baddest bitch." The Impact locker room surrounds the ring to show support for Jazz one more time.

Backstage, Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) confront Scott D'Amore, who puts them in another match against Jazz and Jordynne Grace with the Knockouts Tag Team Championships on the line. Jazz then says that she has just the right person to team with Jordynne, and Scott D'Amore says she is fine with whoever she has in mind.

Sami Callihan beats Matt Cardona after thumbing Cardona in the eye. After the match, Sami Callihan mocks Matt Cardona, making a reference to his old Zack Ryder persona, before saying he is moving on to bigger and better things and calling out Trey Miguel. Trey shows up, and Sami says he is proud of Trey for taking an opportunity, being in the main event where he belonged, and showing passion. Trey says he did not do this to validate him and that he was doing the right thing, but Sami asks him if he felt good feeling that rage and says that his temper is true power is channeled the right way. He says he can channel that rage and bring him to the next level, and all he has to do is shake his hand and they can take over everything, but Trey refuses. Sami tells Trey to show some gratitude, saying he would not be on Hardcore Justice because of him, and admits that he was the one who laid out Tommy Dreamer and not Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner, Rhino). When Sami demands that Trey shake his hand in one final offer, Trey fights Sami only to get kicked in the groin, and Sami lays him out with a powerful clothesline. When Trey refuses to stay down, Sami hits him with a chair, throws it into the ring where it lands on Trey, then slams Trey into the chair with a vertical suplex, bending it.

We hear from Juice Robinson and David Finlay, and says that they like to see The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) squirm and say The Good Brothers need to know who dangerous they are. After comparing accolades, David Finlay says that they beat The Good Brothers to become the best in the world, and at Rebellion, they will prove they are the best in the world again.

Sami Callihan vs. Trey Miguel in a Last Man Standing Match is official for Rebellion.

We see the press conference for the match between Rich Swann and Kenny Omega for the AEW and Impact World Championships at Rebellion. Kenny Omega is absent during the press conference. Rich Swann says he has battled with adversity his whole life, and while Omega is the best in the world, if he wins both titles, it will be a very historical night. Tony Khan says he believes Kenny Omega will win the match, and that he hopes that whoever wins the match will be able to make all commitments for both Impact Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. Scott D'Amore says that all the preparations have been made, and that what Tony Khan has laid out is a testament to both companies and puts fans first. He also says that both sides will make sure that there is a definite winner to the match. Before a third question can be asked, Kenny Omega and Don Callis show up late. Don Callis says Omega is a great champion and that he advocated for Swann to be in Impact Wrestling and in the main event. He also says that Swann knows that Omega is family to him, and says that Omega is the greatest living athlete and wrestler in the business, saying all other legends are insects compared to him. Omega says this a press conference like this is not new to him as he has done this so many times before to the point that it is natural and that he takes what he does seriously and means what he says. He says that Swann is nervous and a little scared after not having to carry this responsibility before, then tells Swann - who confronts Omega - that he was put on the planet to make a change. He then says that while Swann loves wrestling and will try his hardest, he does not belong in this history making event and is just a means to an end, and when everyone looks back at the match, he will not be remembered. Omega then says that he hopes Swann brings his A-game, as he will be part of history, then says this will be the last time he is cordial with Swann. When he offers to shake Swann's hand, he slaps Swann instead, and security swiftly steps in.

He says that the enemy of his enemy is his friend and that TJP is his friend for tonight only, and that they will go out tonight to become the best two wrestlers in the company, and after tonight, their partnership is over. He offers to be his mentor, then says he will get with Scott D'Amore and demand a tag team match against XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) with Trey as his tag partner, even though he can have a tag team partner of his choice. Sami then gives Trey a week to think about it and give him his answer.

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer holds a meeting for Hardcore Justice. Deonna Purrazzo tells everyone to get their goodbyes to Jazz ready before she lays her to waste, then issues an open challenge for tonight. Callihan says Callis is more worried about himself, but Callihan says that everything has been going great for him before wishing him well. Cardona says that always being ready is not just a catchphrase, and that being on top and always ready makes everything that much sweeter. As for his Twitter feud with Brian Myers, his showing up soon after Myers is a coincidence, and he is here to make his own opportunities. He says it is time for Myers to put up or shut up, and challenges him to a match. He also says that after that match, they are done regardless of who wins or loses.

Backstage, XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D) confront Trey Miguel as he goes off and throws things around. Tommy Dreamer shows up and challenges them to a Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match as a joke, then tells him to go to Scott D'Amore to face Acey Romero tonight. Kenny Omega and Don Callis head to the ring. Callis says that Omega will not only make a home in Impact, but that he will also take the Impact World title. He mentions his conversation with Rich Swann in the ring last week, and says that the one thing Swann cannot get out of his head is the One-Winged Angel. Callis says that Swann can prepare all he wants, but Omega just has to hit that move once, as nobody has ever kicked out of it. Omega says he gave Swann a taste of things to come, then he and Callis agree that he needs more championship gold. Callis says he is willing to do anything to suck every drop of blood out of the company if it helps Kenny Omega, then debuts a vignette that pays tribute to the One-Winged Angel. After the vignette, Omega says that everyone started walking on eggshells when he arrived, and that the only reason he is here is for the Impact World Championship. He says that while Rich Swann wants to be part of history like him, he will become a footstep in history when he wins the Impact World Championship, and says that while his debut was the greatest day in Impact history, for him, it was Tuesday. He then says that it will become evident that Impact has nobody who can even compete with him, and that he will lose the Impact World Championship when he is dead. He says that he will beat Swann for the title, for it is history. Omega then tells everyone to get ready for the show, and Callis says that they will make history at Rebellion.

Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K then show up. Tenille mocks Neveah for nothing winning a match on her own, saying she has not found the right partner yet. As Kale tries to take a picture of Tenille and Nevaeh, Havok is forced to stand between them.

He says that his and Eric Young's history in Impact goes all the way, and says that if he wants to go, he's his huckleberry. Suddenly, Scott D'Amore shows up and makes Storm vs. Young the main event for next week.

"Machine Gun" Karl Anderson beats Eddie Edwards after Anderson kicks out of a roll-up and sends Eddie head-first into a chair being held by "The Big LG" Doc Gallows. After the match, Juice Robinson and David Finley show up on the video package and mock The Good Brothers (Gallows and Anderson), saying that they will be having a good time and a few drinks just like old times.

Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera are at a bar. Rohit says there is no reason why he should not be two-time X Division Champion, then says it is Shera's fault. Shera pushes Rohit into Storm, but Storm proposes Rohit apologize so they and Chris Sabin can have a good time. When Rohit refuses to apologize, Storm hits him in the head with a beer bottle, and Shera steps up only to be warned not to do this by Sabin.
