Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for June 17, 2021

Jake Something beats Daivari in the pre-show match. During the match, Brian Myers and Sam Beale are seen behind the barricade taking notes on the match. After the match, Myers attacks Jake Something, then has Sam Beale join in. Myers then hits Jake with the Roster Cut.

Backstage, Gia Miller tries to interview Scott D'Amore when Moose shows up and tells D'Amore what happened on Saturday before demanding a rematch at Slammiversary. D'Amore says that a representative from Anthem is coming to handle things. D'Amore tells Moose that he has no time for this and that Moose will have to sit and wait this one out, then closes the door to his office. Moose says that if D'Amore won't give him time, he will make time.

TJP beats Black Taurus. After the match, Moose runs into the ring and attacks TJP before tossing him out of the ring, then says that if Scott D'Amore does not have time for him, then he will have make him have time by hijacking the show again. As Moose sits in the center of the ring, security shows up and Moose threatens to beat them up if they get in the ring. Suddenly, Chris Sabin shows up for the first time since Under Siege and hits Moose with a missile drop kick before saying he is looking for a fight and wanting one with Moose. Moose retreats to the back.

Backstage, Rohit Raju meets with Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Rohit is not happy with the Ultimate X Match for the X Division Championship that has been made, Austin says that this would not have happened if Fulton wasn't dropped on his head last week. Austin and Rohit come up with a plan where the two of them work together and leave the match down to just the two of them. Rohit reluctantly shakes Austin's hand on the offer.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Chris Sabin, who says that Moose cannot hijack the show and injure people without consequence and says that "the real wrestling good" sent him to humble him. He then challenges Moose to a match at Slammiversary and dares him to step into the ring and prove how divine he really is.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beats Madman Fulton. After the match, Ace Austin attacks Alexander, but as he goes for the fold, Petey Williams shows up and fights Austin. Rohit Raju then shows up as Petey goes for the Canadian Destroyer and attacks Petey, but Trey Miguel shows up and lays out Rohit. Suddenly, Shera shows up and fends off both Petey and Trey before coming face-to-face with Alexander, who soon eats a backbreaker from Shera. Shera and Rohit then celebrate in the ring with Fulton and Austin.

Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo chews out Kimber Lee and Susan for failing her at Against All Odds, saying they have failed her for months and that she is done with them.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews W. Morrissey, who says that everyone in Impact have the idea that they have friends who will help them succeed and get to the top, and that having friends did not work out for Rich Swann, TJP or Satoshi Kojima. He then says the truth of the matter is that nobody has friends and that everybody will be stabbed in the back, and that he had to learn the hard way that in this life, much less in this industry, the only person he can trust is himself.

Steve Maclin beats Jason Page.

Backstage, Rachael Ellering talks with Jordynne Grace, saying she feels ready for her match with Tenille Dashwood, but Jordynne tells Rachael she is upset that everyone thinks they won the tag titles solely because of Rachael and feels Rachael does not get it.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Don Callis. Callis says you can love someone but have disagreements, which describes his relationship with Scott D'Amore. He also says that D'Amore cannot put his feelings and emotions for other people aside. He says that since he barely knows the talent and sees them as numbers on a spreadsheet, it is easier for him to deliver the bad news. As for the representative that is showing up, he is not worried. Callis says that whoever is being sent to the arena is more than likely going to thank him for taking care of a problem that should have been taken care of a long time ago in Sami Callihan, calling Callihan "a liability to the company."

Tenille Dashwood beats Rachael Ellering following the distraction from Kaleb.

Backstage, TJP tries to get with Scott D'Amore when Decay shows up. TJP says he is frustrated with Moose, and Crazzy Steve says that they are frustrated with their last loss in their last encounter. Fallah Bahh then challenges Black Taurus to a match to up the ante.

We hear from Fire and Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) , who celebrate their successful title defense at Against All Odds by asking random people - such as a janitor who started today and a guy taking out the trash - who the best Knockouts Tag Team Champions are. Rosemary sneaks up from behind them and puts a stop to this, and when Fire and Flava back away, they run into Havok. Rosemary attacks Tasha from behind, then throw Kiera in the garbage. When Kiera gets out of the garbage, she finds a trash bag with the word "Mickie" on it. (This is a reference to Mickie James' firing from WWE, where her belongings were mailed back to her in a garbage bag with her name on it inside of a cardboard box.)

This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is Chris Sabin vs. Bully Ray for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Destination X 2013.

Satoshi Kojima beats Rhino to earn a tag team title match for himself and Eddie Edwards.

Sami Callihan is in the ring, furious that he has been fired by Don Callis. He calls out Callis and Kenny Omega. After the commercial break, security surrounds Sami Callihan in the ring, and Scott D'Amore has to show up and call security off and tell Sami that he is on his side, as what happened on Sunday was wrong and unfair and that Callis overstepped his boundaries. D'Amore says that the representative for Anthem is already here to look into things, and asks Sami to give him a chance to get things fixed as he is proving Callis right. Sami says is the heart of the company and does not like authority, then decides to do things D'Amore's way for once.Sami says is the heart of the company and does not like authority, then decides to do things D'Amore's way for once.
