Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for June 30, 2021

Chris Jericho guests on commentary for this week's show.

Penta el Zero Miedo and Eddie Kingston beat The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships after Kazarian foils Brandon Cutler's interference with the cold spray.

We hear from Christian Cage and Jungle Boy. He says that everyone is proud of Jungle Boy and says he can take last week's loss and learn from it after having taken Kenny Omega to the brink, and says he could be World Champion one day. As Christian tells Jungle Boy to make history and get his 50th win, Luchasaurus shows up and thanks Christian Cage for having Jungle Boy's back while he was gone, and tells Christian he has his back.

Tony Schiavone interviews The Men of the Year (Scorpio Sky and "All Ego" Ethan Page) in the ring. Ethan Page says what he has been doing is not enough, and that his goal is not to beat Darby Allin, but to exterminate him, and that nobody has tried to cripple Darby more than he has. He says that Darby Allin has kept coming back after everything he has done to them throughout their careers, and says that the Coffin Match will cripple Darby mentally. Ethan Page says he will beat Darby Allin in this Coffin Match, and when he does, Darby will think of him every time he even so much as thinks of doing a Coffin Drop, he will think of him laying him in a coffin and closing it shut on his confidence forever. Sting then shows up with a wooden coffin draped in a white cloth, then we see a video of Darby Allin wearing an Ethan Page mask setting a frame of a coffin on fire. When Sting lifts the white cloth off the coffin, Darby climbs out of it, and Sting and Darby brawl with The Men of the Year. Scorpio eats a Scorpion Deathdrop while Darby Allin gouges Ethan Page's eyes. Referees and security have to pull Darby off of Ethan, who says Darby cannot beat him at 100% and that next week's match is off and is not happening. Ethan then demands that Darby sign a contract saying that he cannot touch him before the Coffin Match, and that if Darby behaves, they can have their match at Fyter Fest.

Chris Jericho plugs his 30th anniversary book.

Jungle Boy beats Jack Evans with the Snare Trap, earning his 50th victory in the AEW record books and becoming the first ever to do so. After the match, The Hardy Family Office shows up, but Christian Cage and Luchasaurus attack them, and Matt Hardy and Christian Cage brawl in the ring. Matt Hardy flees when Jack Evans gets back in the ring, but Christian effectively fends Jack Evans off.

We hear from MJF, who says that he has bettered Chris Jericho, yet Jericho has refused to give it up and has turned AEW into his own version of Looney Tunes by attacking him and ruining The Pinnacle's lives. MJF says Jericho is the joke while Jericho thinks he is the butt of the joke, and wants to know exactly how Jericho is willing to stoop. He then says that he will announce his stipulations for their one last match next week. He then addresses his match Sammy Guevara, saying that while Guevara may be the future of wrestling after this, he is the now and he is better than Guevara.

Backstage, Alex Abrahantes interviews Andrade el Idolo, who says that he will make an example out of Matt Sydal in a match at Road Rager for interrupting him.

Tony Schiavone interviews Kenny Omega in the ring. Omega says he is reminded of a conversation from earlier today where Schiavone asked him how he stayed motivated and hunted for that next goal - which Schiavone denies happened - and says he woke up like a king. He says he defeated the most promising up-and-coming AEW star and the best wrestler not named Kenny Omega in Jungle Boy next week, and that is pains him to say that there is nobody left and that he will have to take time off. Omega says he still has other championships to defend elsewhere and that his work is far from over, then The Dark Order shows up. Evil Uno tells Omega that he feels differently about him not having any challengers, but Omega says that Alan "5" Angels could not last two minutes against him and that The Dark Order is not even closed to being ranked to face him. Evil Uno admits that while they may not have enough singles wins to be ranked, but they know somebody who does. Omega says that somebody Evil Uno would not appreciate him speaking on his behalf and that they do not have the guts to face him and become champion.

We hear from Brian Pillman Jr. in footage from earlier today. He asks Miro to forgive him for not having the same faith as he does, and says while he did not have family, he had friends who had his back. He says that Miro made it personal when he put his hands on Griff Garrison and that he will show everyone that Miro is a bully, is not God's favorite champion and a "big Bulgarian bitch."

Miro retains the AEW TNT Championship against Brian Pillman Jr. with Game Over.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Dark Order and "Hangman" Adam Page. Page confronts The Dark Order for speaking on his behalf, but The Dark Order reminds him that he is afraid of failure and that they believe in him beating Kenny Omega. They leave after telling Page that they have his back, and Alex "3" Reynolds tells Page that he has waited long enough and that now is his time.

We hear from Team Taz (Taz, Hook, Powerhouse Hobbs) in footage from earlier today. Taz says that while they are not in complete form at the moment, he says that Ricky Starks' and Brian Cage's relationship has been rough on everyone. Taz announces that Cage will defend the FTW Championship a medically cleared Ricky Starks next week, and says that family members sometimes a need a good old-fashioned fight to clean things up.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. and Rebel beat "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero with the Lockjaw from Britt Baker to Vickie Guerrero. After the match, Nyla Rose attacks Britt Baker from behind before hitting her with a powerbomb. Vickie Guerrero then readies a table on the outside, and Nyla drives Britt Baker through it with another powerbomb.

We hear from Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz. Hager says that when they show up, somebody gets their ass whipped. He says that Wardlow faced him like a man and took his loss only for The Pinnacle to attack him and punch Dean Malenko in the face. Santana says that if The Pinnacle want to get their hands dirty, they will get their hands dirtier and refuse to go down without a fight. He tells The Pinnacle to bring the fight, and says that if Tully Blanchard will be in their corner, they will have Konnan in theirs.

Next week: Kris Statlander and Orange Cassidy vs. The Bunny and The Blade!

MJF beats Sammy Guevara. During the match, Shawn Spears shows up. Chris Jericho leaves the commentary table to go after him, but he is attacked from behind by Wardlow. Wardlow then throws Jericho off the stage, and this allows Shawn Spears to hit Sammy Guevara in the head with a chair. MJF puts his hand on top of Guevara to win the match. The show ends with commentary thanking the city of Jacksonville, Florida for their support of AEW for the last fifteen months, and we see a video package chronicling the many happenings in AEW in Daily's Place in that time period. We then get one last shot of the fans in Daily's Place before the show fades to black.
