Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for June 11, 2021

Backstage, Roman Reigns tells Jey Uso that he saved him and Jimmy Uso last week and that they owe him. He knows that Jey knows that embarrassing the family will not be family, then asks if Jimmy Uso knows.

Jimmy Uso heads to the ring. He says that last week was supposed to be a celebration and that he and Jey Uso should be seven-time tag team champions, but instead, they got robbed. He says that he is giving facts, not excuses, saying the ref blew the call the first time and that Roman Reigns stuck his nose in their business and make everything about him the second time, saying that Roman got them disqualified on purpose. Jimmy says that Roman is jealous that he is back and that he and Jey want to represent the family and hold championship gold, and that while Roman is trying to tear Jey away from him, he is his brother's keeper. Jimmy then promises that he will do something that he will not regret. Backstage, Roman Reigns tells Jey Uso that he needs to take care of this, and Jey leaves the dressing room.

Backstage, Jey Uso meets with Jimmy Uso, who asks if he really thinks they could have won the SmackDown tag team titles and if he was upset afterwards, then says things can't be like they are anymore and that he needs Jey Uso to run with him. As Jimmy Uso says that Roman Reigns is a disgrace to the family, Jey Uso asks Jimmy what he wants him to do, as his loyalty is with Roman and Jimmy has been gone for a year. Jimmy says that if Jey wants to see him, he will be in their own locker room.

Kevin Owens and Big E beat Apollo Crews and Sami Zayn. After the match, Apollo Crews says Big E and Kevin Owens should not be celebrating because they only won due to him being stuck with an idiot like Sami Zayn. He then challenges the two of them to a match against himself and Commander Azeez next week. Sami Zayn then calls Apollo Crews a fraud and a liar for calling him an idiot, then accuses Apollo Crews of being in cahoots with Kevin Owens to keep him from the Intercontinental Championship. Apollo commands Azeez to hit Sami with the Nigerian Nail before telling Sami he will never have the title.

Backstage, Chad Gable apologizes to The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) for what Otis did to them last week, saying Otis is hard to stop and says that he got their tag team match tonight as a gesture of good will. Montez Ford says Gable may not be able to control Otis, but they can, and they will send him back to the Jurassic period. This leads to Gable challenging The Street Profits to a one-on-one match, which Montez Ford accepts. Gable says that Otis will not be ringside, but only if Angelo Dawkins is not ringside either. Ford agrees to this, then Gable says that Otis is still angry.

Backstage, Jey Uso tells Roman Reigns that Jimmy Uso is in "our" locker room when asked where Jimmy is. Roman laughs at the idea of The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) having a locker room, then tells Jey to tell Jimmy he is coming to him.

Liv Morgan beats Carmella. After the match, ring announcer Greg Hamilton announces that Carmella is still the most beautiful woman in WWE after Carmella tells him to.

It's time for Ding Dong, Hello! Tonight's guest is Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins says that Bianca Belair is disrespectful and that Bayley will wipe the floor with her at Hell In A Cell, then calls Bayley's face appearing all over the Thunderdome last week "a master class in mind games." After watching the footage from last week, Seth Rollins and Bayley start laughing, then Bayley shows footage from three weeks ago of Seth Rollins attacking Cesaro. Bayley and Seth are serious at first, then they start laughing again. Suddenly, someone rings the doorbell, then Rollins offers to get the door. When he answers, he gets jumped by Cesaro, who throws Rollins all over the set. As Bayley tries to salvage what is left of the set, Bianca Belair shows up and laughs at Bayley.

Backstage, Megan Morant interviews Rey Mysterio. Rey says that Roman Reigns hurt his son viciously last week, and says that if anybody goes after his son, he will go after them. He calls what happened to Dominick Mysterio "the worst kind of torture," and says he failed to protect him last week. Rey says that Dominick's injuries come from a man who says he is all about family but has no problem turning against his own, and says that at the end of the night, he will call out Roman Reigns in the ring. He says that if Roman shows up, he will show him what a family is supposed to look like.

Montez Ford beats Chad Gable by disqualification after Otis attacks Ford. Backstage during the match, Angelo Dawkins watches the match on a TV when he is suddenly attacked from behind by Otis. From there, Otis heads to the ring and attacks Ford. After the match, Otis - now clean shaven - continues to attack Montez Ford, throwing him around at ringside before hitting him with a frog splash from the second rope. Angelo Dawkins gets in the ring, but Otis tosses him out before hitting Montez Ford with a Vader Bomb. Dawkins gets back in the ring and covers Ford as referees keep Gable and Otis away.

Shinsuke Nakamura beats King Corbin with a roll-up. After the match, Corbin lays out Nakamura, and when Rick Boogs runs for the crown, Corbin attacks him. As Corbin puts the crown on, Nakamura reaches from the apron and grabs it, then Rick Boogs sends Corbin into the announce table.

Backstage, Roman Reigns says to Jey Uso "All right, I'm ready...let's go to YOUR locker room."

Backstage, WWE officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are confronted by King Corbin, who demands that Shinsuke Nakamura return his crown. They make a match with the crown on the line for next week.

Backstage, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso meet with Jimmy Uso in Jimmy's locker room. Jimmy says he cares about Jey and Roman, and says that he has dealt with Roman's actions since they were kids. He says that Roman will be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame as "a spoiled bitch." Jey tells Roman and Jimmy that he is tired of both of them and says he is out, then leaves. Jimmy tells Roman that if he wants to throw down, he does not care anymore. Roman says this is about family business and their livelihood, then says he should not have to rely on Jey to reel Jimmy in and says it is about all of them and that they have to be the best, for it is all he has ever known. Roman tells Jimmy that he just cannot let Jey go after a year of elevating himself, and tells him to make this right.

Rey Mysterio enters the ring. After the commercial break, he calls out Roman Reigns for disrespecting his family, and Roman eventually shows up with Paul Heyman. Rey then acknowledges Roman Reigns before saying he acknowledges him as "the rat bastard that put his handsRoman acknowledges Rey as a father, and this is enough for Rey to attack with a Kendo stick. Roman strikes back, but Rey hammers him with the Kendo stick until Roman shoves him away and hits a Superman Punch. on his son," a man he is willing to fight even if he loses and a man he wants to fight in Hell In A Cell. As Roman prepares to hit Rey with a Spear, he is attacked with a Kendo stick by Dominick. Roman grabs Dominick and powerbombs him out of the ring, then Rey hits Roman with a Kendo stick again before tending to Dominick. Officials have to stop Roman from attacking Rey and Dominick further to end the show.
