Raw Deal - Raw LIVE recap for July 10, 2023

Finn Balor heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He says that the way things went at Money In The Bank still does not sit well with him, and the issues between himself and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins have not been put to rest because of Damian Priest. It does not take long for Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio to show up, and Rhea Ripley says that while Finn Balor has unfinished business to discussed, it will be discussed backstage and not in the ring. Finn says his issue is with Priest, not her or Dominik, and that Priest cost him the World Heavyweight Championship last week. Rhea lowers the microphone and tells Finn to calm down, and promises to talk about it backstage. Finn holds Rhea to that promise, and leaves the ring. Rhea then tells the fans that what they just saw is their business, and that all the fans need to know is that The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) still runs Raw. She says that if nobody believes her, she dares anyone to get in the ring with her to challenge that fact, as she is the most dominant woman in WWE. She also says that Dominik will take care of business when he takes down Seth Rollins. Dominik cannot get even two words in edgewise when Seth Rollins shows up eating a plate full of buffalo wings. Seth tells Dominik to shut up and that he is here to watch The Judgment Day implode, but Dominik says the only thing imploding will be Seth's head when he beats him tonight. Seth laughs at the idea of Dominik beating him and says he is the only one who will be whipping Dominik's ass before continuing to enjoy his buffalo wings.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio meet with Damian Priest. Rhea tells him and Finn Balor to grow up and squash their beef. He says that he spoke to Finn, but he chose not to listen, and for her, he will speak to him again.

Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle beat Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci). After the match, Imperium (Gunther, Kaiser, Vinci) is visibly frustrated, most notably Gunther.

Backstage, Finn Balor and Damian Priest argue again. Rhea Ripley tells them both to stop acting like children. Priest tells Finn Balor that it was never his intention to cost Finn the World Heavyweight Championship and that he did not want that to happen. As Damian Priest proposes that they go back to the way things were, Finn proposes that they start with a clean slate on the condition that he gets another shot at Seth "Freakin'" Rollins first. Priest says he has no problem with that and that he knows Finn can beat Seth, and that whatever happens, he has the World Heavyweight Championship covered.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Zayn admits he does not know what to expect next and that he and Owens will take on whoever wants to face them, then Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio show up. Rhea tells them that The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) will take all of the championships in WWE, then says that Dominik will beat Seth "Freakin'" Rollins because he has worked on his cardio in prison and he never gets tired. After Rhea and Dominik leaves, it is implied that Sami Zayn thought that Rhea Ripley made a double entendre.

We hear from Jinder Mahal, who says that with victory should be at all costs and that with victory comes survival, then says victory is an illusion of fools as we are re-introduced to Indus Sher (Veer and Sanga), whom Jinder proclaim there is no survival from.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth "Freakin'" Rollins ends up being a trap in which Rollins is attacked by Finn Balor and Damian Priest. All of a sudden, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn show up to even the odds, and Rollins chases Finn and Priest away with a chair before nailing Dominik in the back with it.

Ricochet heads to the ring. He says that everyone knows why he is usally here, and what he does, he does for the fans to make it the highlight of their night. Ricochet then says that tonight, he is here for Logan Paul, and after he gives credit where credit is due to Logan Paul and admitting that Logan has accomplished some things in WWE, and while he is okay with the times they have crossed paths in WWE, he does not respect Logan Paul getting on his own podcast and saying he had no idea what he was doing before calling him out. Logan Paul shows up and says Ricochet looks like "a little boy," then says he will make it quick because he does not want to be in "this crap city" any longer than he has to be. He calls Ricochet "a human highlight reel" and one of the most spectacular Superstars he has ever seen and that it is fireworks when they clash in the ring. He then says he stands by what he said on his podcasts and that Ricochet cost them both the match, and if he wants him to talk unprofessionally, he can talk unprofessionally. Ricochet says nobody wanted to see Logan with the Money In The Bank contact and that he keeps throwing the word "unprofessional" around, and that he would not have been in the wrestling business for twenty years if he were unprofessional. Ricochet admits he wanted to do the professional thing and challenge him to a match, but after seeing him, he just wants to hurt him. He then advises Logan Paul not to run his mouth about him again. Logan asks "Or what?" before saying he will not be intimiated by Ricochet, then says Ricochet wants a match with him to go viral before saying he does not care about going viral because he is a WWE Superstar. Logan says he has a legendary knockout punch while Ricochet is all about clips and replays, and states that it will not work out between them. Ricochet then leaps over the ropes and lands in front of Logan, and while Logan says that was good for a TikTok video, he is not about making moments because he is the moment, and it will not work out. Logan turns around, then tries to sucker punch Ricochet only for Ricochet to duck and take him out with a shiranui off the ring apron.

Zoey Stark beats Becky Lynch after the distraction by Trish Stratus following Becky blocking the Z360.

Backstage, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins thanks Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for making the save for him, then says the three of them need to come up with a plan. Sami says they have dealt with The Judgment Day for months and that the three of them are champions, and that they need to go out there and beat them, but they need to be smart. Owens says he cannot take his friend being attacked in a four-on-one strike, and that we go in and break their opponents tonight.

Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) are in the ring in graduation garb. Gable says they are here to honor achievement, but instead of his achievements, it is those of the first-ever female graduate of the Alpha Academy who showed what is possible through hard work, dedication and commitment to a master coach's plan when she helped defeat The Viking Raiders (Ivar, Erik, Valhalla) with "the sickest arm drag-suplex combination you have ever seen." He then awards an Alpha Academy diploma to his prized pupil, Maxxine Dupri, who heads to the ring in a light pink cap and gown. Maxxine admits that when she first met Gable, she thought he was "a hideous and disgusting little troll," but he is more than that and that he is a great thinker and teacher and a wonderful friend. She says that thanks to Gable's training, she was able to defeat Valhalla and win her first match ever on Raw. She also has to give thanks to Otis, whom she calls a "beautiful hunk of beef," and if he had not caught her eye, none of this would be possible. Maxxine also thanks the fans for accepting her and helping her becoming a star, then says the three of them are just getting started and that this star is ready to sparkle. Gable then asks Maxxine to take her place right and center and take off the cap and gown to put on the last jacket she will ever wear: an Alpha Academy varsity jacket. As she is putting the jacket on, however, Ivar and Erik show up, and Valhalla shows up from behind and attacks Maxxine before running off with her varsity jacket.

"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler quickly beats Emma with the Kirifuda Clutch. After the match, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey shows up and gets in the ring to brawl with Shayna. Ronda goes for the arm breaker, but Shayna is able to escape it.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring. After asking the fans to forgive him for turning his back briefly to see the fans in the arena tonight, he hopes that he and the fans can see each other, as it seems like there is an invisible wall between them when there is not. Cody mentions that the things have been talking about have been real, and admits after someone in the United Kingdom asked about his momentum, he says that every arena has been sold out and the fans have been getting louder and louder, yet his momentum in the ring has been shaky due to Brock Lesnar. Cody says that Brock Lesnar is not here because he did not think Buffalo, New York was worth the trip - despite being told he would be here - and that everyone has their "Brock Lesnar" that is impeding them from the most important step they can take. He then says some people see things the way they are and ask why while others think of what could be and ask why not, and that he wants to be the latter before wanting a match with Lesnar at SummerSlam. Cody says nothing would make him happier than if Lesnar came to the ring, shook his hand, knew this was not personal and became his opponent at SummerSlam, and even if he is less than cordial, he will finish what they started. On the subject of why he is having another match with Lesnar, it is because of what will emerge on the other side, as "the prince cannot be the prince forever" and he wants to be the next in line.

The Miz beats Tommaso Ciampa in a no-disqualification after Bronson Reed shows up out of nowhere to decimate Ciampa. The match is The Miz's first win in 2023.

Backstage, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez are met by Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green, who are not happy with the fact that they will be at ringside for the next match. Raquel tells them to relax, as they are just going to get a closer look at next week's compeittion and that they are more than ready to defend their titles. Suddenly, Rhea Ripley shows up and tells them to focus on the tag team division and out of The Judgment Day's (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) business, as they have done it twice already and next time will be strike three. After Chelsea Green states that she and Sonya will be the next women's tag champions before asking Rhea if she agrees - to which Rhea replies "Who said 'we'?" - Liv Morgan says they are just not scared of Rhea, and that they jumped in after how she disrepected Natalya, while Raquel warns Rhea that if she keeps being a bully, she and Liv will stop her.

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green beat Kayden Carter and Katana Chance after Sonya puts Chelsea's feet on the ropes for leverage as Chelsea pins Katana.

Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle. McIntyre says it felt good to stick it to Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci), then asks when all these groups popped up and started using the numbers game to their advantage. Riddle says Imperium has been running wild and he is sick of tired, and while last night felt good, it will feel even better to beat Gunther. McIntyre tells him to hold the match off for one more week as he will be off on business, but Riddle says he is one step ahead of him and that he got WWE official Adam Pearce to bar Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci from ringside. McIntyre and Riddle then head off for a night on the town in Buffalo, New York.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio) beat Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn after Rhea Ripley distracts the referee. After the match, Finn and Priest hug in the center of the ring.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for January 6, 2023

The show begins with The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, Sami Zayn) causing a disturbance at the announce table. All of a sudden, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman show up. Roman starts things off differently tonight by giving the people want they want, as he wants to hear from Sami Zayn now. Sami says The Bloodline is putting everyone on notice that this year belongs to them. Sami says they came to Raw to send a message and that they did that by winning their matches, and that they are sending a message this year. Roman then says he wants to know what happened last year, when he and Sami had their match with John Cena and Kevin Owens and lost, then says Sami lost - not him - because Sami's shoulders were on the mat, not his. He then asks Sami why he called his shot and guaranteed a win he is the one who does it and always deliver, and asks Sami if he wants to be him before screaming at him. Suddenly, Kevin Owens shows up. Owens tells Roman to calm down and take a deep breath due to his misdirected anger, then reminds Roman that his problem is with him, not Sami, and that it is starting to drive him crazy. He then says Roman should do what he says he does and take care of his "KO problem" by beating him at Royal Rumble. Roman says all he wants is for Owens to disappear, then Owens says he will see Roman at Royal Rumble and that he will see Sami "when [he digs his] balls out of Roman's pockets."

Charlotte Flair shows up to the arena in a luxurious sports car.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews L.A. Knight, who makes a reference to Marc Cohn's "Walking In Memphis" before bashing Memphis, Tennessee and saying that Bray Wyatt's plans have blown up in his face and that he will walk in and beat him at Royal Rumble. We see Sheamus and Drew McIntyre at Jerry Lawler's Hall of Fame Bar and Grill on Beale Street. Both of them talk about bar fights and smack each other before Sheamus calls McIntyre an honorary Brawling Brute. Sheamus and Drew McIntyre smack each other as they look back on Fastlane before firing each other up for their match with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) tonight. The people at the bar then join in on the "banger after banger" chant.

Charlotte Flair heads to the ring. Charlotte asks the fans if they missed her, then talks about how she was gone for eight months and how she was overwhelmed by the fans' reaction when she returned. She says that whether the people cheer, boo or woo, passion, consistency and dedication for what she does in the ring. She also says that she will demand more and that will not rest until she knocks down any obstacle in her way. Charlotte says a champion expects the unexpected and never backs down from a challenge, and says that this is what she has done fourteen times. Suddenly, Sonya Deville shows up. Sonya says "the hillbillies in this building" are too gullible to see through her lies, then says there should be an asterisk next to Charlotte's fourteenth title reign in WWE due to beating "a half-dead Ronda Rousey." This leads to a "Whoop that trick!" chant before Sonya asks Charlotte how she would fare against a fresh fighter. She then tells Charlotte to prove she is a real champion by defending against her right now. Charlotte accepts Sonya's challenge, then referee Jessica Carr enters the ring to referee the match.

B-Fab then his Ricochet with a pump kick before Adonis hits Ricochet with mounted punches. He then says Owens was right and that he was taking his anger out on Sami. Roman says that they will fix their problem with Owens, then Paul Heyman tells Sami that he is giving him the opportunity to redeem himself in a match against Kevin Owens next week. Sami tells Roman that he will take care of Owens. As The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) head to the ring, Sami prepares to leave, but Roman asks Sami to watch the match with him backstage.

We hear from Santos Escobar, who says that Legado del Fantasma (Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Zelina Vega) has thrived since entering SmackDown and that he will make sure the World Cup is in the hands of a perfect enterprise, as it will shine a light on Mexico and lucha libre. Escobar then says that it is time for Ricochet's fairy tale story to come to an end.

Backstage, Megan Morant interviews Kofi Kingston. Kofi Kingston declares for the men's Royal Rumble match, then predicts that Ricochet will win the World Cup tonight. After Sami and Solo leave, Jimmy and Jey Uso agree that they can trust Sami, then Sheamus shows up and attacks them with a shillelagh.

Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky) head to the ring. Bayley talks about how the three of them were in the WarGames cage for 95 minutes and 19 seconds and that it does not matter to the fans who cheered for Becky Lynch, who won after being in the cage for "a cup of coffee." Bayley then says nobody in the SmackDown roster wanted to step up to them, and as the longest-reigning women's champion in SmackDown history, that disappointed her. As Bayley says Damage CTRL are here to be role models, Liv Morgan shows up and says Bayley has a problem with the SmackDown women's division and that she is here to address it by fighting a three-on-one brawl. The Brawling Brutes (Ridge Holland and Butch) beat Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa with an inside cradle from Butch to Sami Zayn after Jey Uso pulls Sami Zayn out of the ring as Sami is about to avoid a top rope move, causing an argument between Jey and Sami that Solo has to stand in between until Ridge Holland takes out Jey and Solo. Sami gets back in the ring, but Butch rolls him up for an inside cradle for the pin and the win. After the match, Sami, Solo and even Jimmy Uso get on Jey's case for costing them the match, then Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman show up. After the commercial break, Roman Reigns says that people are going to act like kids, then they will be treated like kids, then says that he wants what is going laid out on the table and fixed right now. Sami Zayn admits that there is a communication breakdown as of late and that it is specifically with Jey, and while he likes Jey and has tried to get along with him, Jey has a problem with him and he wants it to stop. Sami Zayn apologizes to Jey Uso for whatever he did and asks to bury the hatchet before offering to shake his hand. Jey hesitates, then pulls out a microphone and tells him to get his hand out of his face. Jey tells Sami that he does not like him, his hair, his face, his "Honorary Uce" T-shirt or him being around his family because he is not a true blood relative and never will be, calling him "a fake-ass Uce." Jey says he will shed blood for the family and asks Sami if he is willing to do it too, and when Sami wants peace because Roman says there should be peace, Jey says he does not give a damn what Roman says. Sami has to get between Jey and Roman and say that Jey did not mean what he said as he has gone through a lot and has not been himself and has not been "very Ucey." Roman smiles, and Jey Uso is really trying not to corpse as Roman says that if Jey cannot find his "inner Ucey" again, he is going to do something Jey is not gonna like. Roman threatens to take the "honorary" away from Sami Zayn and make him "a full-blown Uce," and also threatens to rename him "Sami Uso." This starts a "Sami Uso" chant. Paul Heyman then plugs Roman's match against Logan Paul for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel before counting down to another commercial break.

He says that he felt that excitement with Omos and that when it comes to challenges, the bigger, the better. Strowman then says that Omos will find out that there is no challenge too big for "the monster of all monsters."

Before the next match, Ronda Rousey says that the Smackdown Women's Championship is back where it belongs and that the fans are in luck to see her issue an open challenge tonight. She says that she does not expect the fans to be grateful, as only the great can recognize greatness and everyone is too mediocre to recognize what they are looking at. Ronda then asks who her challenger tonight is, and it is Tennille Dashwood, who returns to WWE as Emma.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey retains the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship against Emma after gouging the eyes prior to Piper's Pit and the arm breaker.

Backstage, Jey Uso meets with Paul Heyman regarding Logan Paul's knockout punch from last week, and Paul Heyman tells Jey Uso that he has his back.

Before the next match, B-Fab says Hit Row (Ashante "Thee" Adonis, Top Dolla, B-Fab) has friends in high places and introduces Shinsuke Nakamura as their tag team partner.

Hit Row (Ashante "Thee" Adonis and Top Dolla) and Shinsuke Nakamura beat Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro).

Backstage, Paul Heyman asks Roman Reigns to watch footage of Logan Paul practicing in a boxing ring. When Roman asks why they are watching this, Heyman says it takes one lucky punch. Heyman talks about how Logan Paul once broke his knockout hand and had steel pins inserted into it, and when Roman says it is Logan Paul's third match, Paul Heyman mentions that Brock Lesnar won the UFC World Heavyweight Championship in his third match. This angers Roman, and Paul Heyman decides to take his leave.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews LA Knight. LA Knight mentions the ring announcer not getting his hometown right last week, then Ricochet shows up and says LA Knight would get a warmer reception if he did not act like "God's gift." He also says that when shows up with a big head, one is more likely to knock it around. LA Knight leaves after saying he is God's gift to SmackDown, then Ricochet tells him to keep going, as somebody is going to shut his mouth.

Karrion Kross beats Madcap Moss. After the match, Kross puts Moss in the Kross Jacket and tells McIntyre that Moss put up more of a fight than he did because Moss is not a hypocrite and a coward. He then says that history will repeat itself when he beats McIntyre at Crown Jewel while two referees try to break the hold.

We briefly see Bray Wyatt backstage.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Rey Mysterio. Rey Mysterio says he is excited to be back on SmackDown and competing for the Intercontinental Championship when Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) attack him.

Bray Wyatt heads to the ring. Bray says it is just him and the fans right now, and that there is no mask and no smoke and mirrors. He says that he wants the fans to get used to "the real" him and the best version of himself that will ever be. He says he is proud to be here today and that he will spectacular things while he is here, then says that for much of his life, he has been out of control and he cannot help that, as his emotion do not work like most other people's. He says that sometimes he does not have control and can go to a very dark place, and other times, he does not feel anything at all. Bray says that is part of what makes him "him," and that he has to do horrible things and part of him likes doing it. Bray then says that is not the end of it and that there will come a time when he is forced to do something completely horrible when the lights on the ring darken. He then see images of an old man in a hat wrapped in barbed wire. He says "You killed the world," and says that Bray Wyatt still wears a mask and that he will never be able to hide from his Uncle Howdy. Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 23, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Kurt Angle says every story has a beginning, middle and end. Last night, he wrote a new chapter. He didn't think it would get better after being inducted into the Hall of Fame, but last night was a dream come true. But that was last night, and now it is on to the future, which is Survivor Series. Once again, it will be Raw vs. SmackDown Live like last year. Alexa Bliss will take on Natalya, The Miz will take on Baron Corbin, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will take on The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and Jinder Mahal will take on Brock Lesnar. There will also be two traditional Survivor Series matches - one for the men, one for the women. He promises to make sure his show comes out as the dominant show in WWE. Suddenly, The Miz shows up with Curtis Axel, Cesaro and Sheamus. The Miz says he is sick of hearing Angle's voice, and says Raw is his show. He says that Angle did not save the show last night, and says he should have made Dean and Seth fight five-on-two. The Miz goes on to say that Angle abused his power to have one more taste of the spotlight, and that it is not about him. He says Angle does not belong in a ring or a General Manager position, and should resign. Angle says that won't happen, and he is heading back to the back. Miz says he's not going anywhere, and his team surrounds the ring. Suddenly, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins show up from out of the crowd. The Miz and company immediately back off. Miz accuses Seth and Dean of "sucking up to management," and says the odds are not in their favor once again. Angle tells him not to be so sure. He puts Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus against Dean, Seth and a Superstar who decided to stay on Raw for one more night: "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) and "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats The Miz, Sheamus and Cesaro. After the match, Kane shows up. Kane fights off Styles and Seth while Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus triple team Dean. Seth then gets choke slammed. Miz, Cesaro and Sheamus leave as Kane tosses Dean out of the ring.

Kane is in the ring. He says he has heard about Braun Strowman's boasts and accomplishments, and how he always wanted competition. He likes what he heard, but he had to see Braun's power for himself. When he did, what he saw was a pile of trash. Last night, he put Braun where he belonged: in the back of a garbage truck. When Braun was scooped in, he looked in his eyes. Kane saw in Braun's eyes a fear that had never been instilled in him before, and says Braun saw the truth: he is Raw's only monster. Now that Braun is gone, he wants competition...or else. Kane gets competition...in the form of Finn Balor.

Kane beats Finn Balor with three choke slams.

General Manager Kurt Angle meets SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon. He is hurt, but he is okay. Angle thanks Shane for "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles' service tonight and last night, then mentions the Traditional Survivor Series Matches and says Raw will win. Shane says SmackDown Live will annihilate Raw, and he can see it now on Twitter in the form of #UnderSiege. Both men shake hands, then Shane walks away.

The Green Bay Packers are in the front row tonight.

Asuka beats Emma with the Asuka Lock.

Alexa Bliss shows up. Alexa says she has beaten Mickie James, and can put her where she belongs: in the past. She then mentions her match with Natalya at Survivor Series, where she says she will dominate Natalya. There may be two brands, but Natalya will know there is only one goddess. Alexa then says that she gets no respect even after her match with Mickie, but Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles gets "this is awesome" chants. She wants to know where her chants are, and then chalks her lack of chants up to fan jealousy. She then mocks the fans, saying she will put out a chant, then the crowd will repeat it back. She starts with "You deserve it" only to get showered with boos. Alexa demands appreciation, and demands the fans chant "You deserve it." Mickie James shows up. She kicks Alexa in the gut, then hits her with a a DDT. She then tells Alexa "you do deserve it."

Backstage, General Manager Kurt Angle meets Bayley and Sasha Banks, who say that it was great to see him back in action. Angle tells Bayley and Sasha Banks are the best picks for the captain for Team Raw. Alicia Fox cuts in, wanting to be captain. Angle makes a Triple Threat Match between Bayley, Sasha and Alicia Fox. Angle then reminds Alicia that pinfalls only count inside the ring. Alicia says "Oh, Kurt, you're so silly!"

Elias is in the ring. He asks who wants to walk with him, then sings and plays guitar. After making fun of Aaron Rodgers' collarbone - which leads to a "Go Packs Go" chant - as well as Jason Jordan's maturity - or supposed lack thereof - he announces an uninterrupted performance. All he asks is that the crowd be totally silent, which does not happen. All of a sudden, a blast of static can be heard, not once, but twice. The static is heard again. Elias stops performing, and the "Go Packs Go" chants are even stronger. Elias threatens to bring out the sound technician and beat him up in the ring, but Jason Jordan shows up.

Jason Jordan beats Elias by disqualification after Elias smashes his guitar into Jason Jordan's left shoulder. Trainers check on Jason Jordan - who also has a big welt on his left arm - after the match, and help him to the back.

Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar show up. Heyman says that someone wants to dispute the fact that Brock Lesnar is the undisputed champion in WWE. He says this someone has barely survived title challenge after title challenge on SmackDown Live; meanwhile, Brock Lesnar has eaten through the best heavyweights Raw has to offer. Heyman goes on to say this is the age of trash talking and that everyone wants to do it, and says he is the king of it right now. Even though the fans clamor for it, he does not trash talk Lesnar's opponents, as anyone facing Lesnar is a real man for doing it. He praised Goldberg, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman, and rightfully so. Jinder Mahal, "the make-believe Maharaja" with "The Sing-Along Brothers," on the other hand, is not even close to be Lesnar's equal, and he also says that Jinder Mahal is not even close to who anyone thinks makes a fine WWE Champion. He calls Jinder "a consolation prize champion," and says SmackDown Live got the shaft in the Superstar Shake-Up. Heyman says there is no battle for brand supremacy here, as the brand with Lesnar is the only brand that matters, and since Jinder Mahal wants to dispute Lesnar, he is going to Suplex City. However, that is where Jinder's night will only begin due to what Lesnar can do, as he and Lesnar accept Jinder's challenge.

Charly Caruso interviews Kalisto. He is fine physically, but he dreamed of being a champion. He would be okay if he lost to someone he respected and not Enzo. Therefore, he is invoking his rematch clause tomorrow night. As for tonight, it's about familia. Cedric alexander, Rich Swann, Mustafa Ali and Gran Metalik show up. Tonight, they will win the 10-man Cruiserweight tag team match.

Alicia Fox beats Bayley and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat Match to become the captain of Team Raw in the Women's Traditional Survivor Series Match at Survivor Series. During the amtch, Alicia Fox takes the ring bell and starts ringing it, and almost loses the match to Bayley. Later on in the match, Sasha gets Banks Statement on Alicia Fox, who manages to get out of it after Sasha rolls off the bottom rope and push Sasha into Bayley, who is on the ring apron. Alicia then trips on Bayley, and gets the pinfall. She then celebrates by kissing referee Darrick Moore.

Before the next match, Drew Gulak introduces Enzo Amore while reading off a clipboard, since Enzo has completely lost his voice. Drew says Kalisto is more of a letdown than the Green Bay Packers. He compares Enzo to Anthony Barr and Kalisto to Aaron Rodgers. All five members of Team Enzo then spell out "S-A-W-F-T," and Enzo's "T" almost sounds like a cough.

Kalisto, Rich Swann, Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali and Gran Metalik beat Enzo Amore, Drew Gulak, "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese, Ariya Daivari and Noam Dar in a 10-Man Cruiserweight Tag Team Match.

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up. Angle says the red brand cannot wait for Survivor Series, as it is the only time they go up against SmackDown Live. He is about to mention who is on Raw's men's team when SmackDown Live Shane McMahon's entrance hits. All of a sudden, Shane McMahon is seen on the crowd along with the SmackDown Live roster. Shane says to Kurt "Under...siege." Kurt Angle leaves, and heads to the back. All of a sudden, Shane sics the SmackDown Live roster on Angle. Backstage, the SmackDown Live roster gives Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews an epic beatdown. They then find an intern, beat him up, then notice a monitor with the Raw logo and topple it over. The make-up crew is also chased after, but then Goldust and Curt Hawkins show up only to get stomped on. The attack continues in the locker room, where the SmackDown Live roster easily outnumbers whoever they find. In the hallway, Raw's women are overpowered by SmackDown Live's women, and not even The Shield (Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins) can stop them. Even Dean and Seth cannot stop them, and Kurt Angle is held hostage and forced to watch Dean and Seth get manhandled. Angle is dragged back out to the ring. Shane motions for the blue brand roster to bring Angle to the ring, which they do. Angle gets in the ring, and Shane then tells Angle to bring his gold medal and what's rest of his roster so they can finish what they started.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 16, 2017

General Manager Kurt Angle shows up to start tonight's show. Angle says it is safe to say that The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) are back together and will be facing The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman at TLC. Suddenly, The Shield show up not only to their familiar music, but to their familiar crowd entrance. After surrounding the ring in typical Shield fashion, they then walk in in full military-style regalia. Roman Reigns says that when the hounds come down to the ring, you either get out of their yard or they beat your ass. Seth Rollins talks about how they had their first match as a unit at TLC in 2012, and how they dominated that night and ever since. He says this continued until it all went away, but he is proud to stand with Ambrose and Rollins five years later, because The Shield is back. Ambrose says The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Braun Strowman should be scared because the lines are drawn. He says nobody fights harder or longer, or divides and conquers, like The Shield. Ambrose says he may have exaggerated when he said he would take on four men at once, but he does not regret it. He then dares Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro and Strowman to step in the ring with The Shield right now. They show up, but Angle tells everyone to save it for TLC. He tells everyone on the stage that if they want to keep their matches for tonight, they had better not make a move.

Elias is playing guitar and singing again. At his sides are Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and says he has found two good brothers to walk with him tonight. Anderson politely asks Elias if he and Gallows can warm up their voice cords. Not surprisingly, Gallows sings the word "nerd" as he warms up. Elias plays guitar while Gallows and Anderson then sing The Honky Tonk Man's theme, then sing about how Jason Jordan is a nerd until Jordan, Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews show up.

Jason Jordan, Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews beat Elias and Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson).

We see another vignette for Asuka, who is coming to Raw in six days.

Renee Young interviews Emma. She is tired of hearing about Asuka, saying all the attention should be on her. She claims to have started the Women's Revolution, beaten four of the best and is a social media superstar. As Emma asks what Asuka has done, Alexa Bliss shows up and congratulates her for what she has done so far. After showing irritation at Mickie James, Alexa says she and Emma should stick together, and challenge Mickie to a tag match. Emma is down for a two-on-two match.

We see a video package of the rivalry between Cedric Alexander and Jack Gallagher.

Cedric Alexander beats "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher after Rich Swann stops The Brian Kendrick from getting involved in the match. It is later made official that Swann and Alexander will face Gallagher and Kendrick at TLC.

It's time for Miz TV with The Miz, Curtis Axel, Sheamus and Cesaro. Tonight's special guest is Braun Strowman. Miz says that Kurt Angle was afraid they would shatter The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) if they went at it tonight. Sheamus and Cesaro say that Ambrose and Rollins will only have friendship left when they take back the Raw tag team titles, as The Shield will break just like he will break Ambrose's back with a chair. Cesaro says he will push Rollins off a ladder and break his back, and Sheamus says he will break Roman's spirit by putting him through a table. Miz says The Shield are good, but not as good as the fans they think they are, and say they cannot compete with his team. He says The Shield are co-workers, but The Miztourage and everyone on his team are a family. Braun Strowman is then brought out. Strowman says he would have shattered The Shield tonight, as they came together and put him through an announce table last week, and goes on to say none of them could stop him on their own. He says The Shield could not handle him individually, and now he will rip them apart one by one until they are gone together. He says that he is starting with Ambrose in a Steel Cage Match, and when the door closes, Ambrose cannot run away. Miz says his team can throw away The Shield, and says Ambrose is sipping on the nostalgia juice by saying they can take on multiple men at once. The Miz says he, Sheamus, Cesaro, Braun Strowman and a fifth member will accept Ambrose's multi-man challenge. Suddenly, General Manager Kurt Angle shows up, saying he did not agree to a 5-on-3 match for TLC. If Miz wants a fifth man, Strowman will have to beat Ambrose. If Strowman loses, however, it's back to being a three-on-three match at TLC. Strowman says they accept the challenge. Angle then announces that during the tag team title and steel cage matches, everyone on both teams are banned from ringside.

Enzo also blames his loss on Mustafa Ali. Suddenly, Kalisto shows up. He says enough is enough, and says Enzo can blame whoever he wants, but there will be no excuses at TLC. Enzo tells Kalisto he is standing on the tracks and that the "'Zo Train" is coming through. Kalisto is then ambushed from behind by "The Premiere Athlete" Tony Nese, Noam Dar, Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak. He tells Kalisto he deserves this beating, and says he will fight Kalisto on his own time. Suddenly, Mustafa Ali rushes in, and he makes the save for Kalisto until the numbers game catches up. Curtis Axel holds a motivational speech with Sheamus and Cesaro. He says Strowman must win so he can compete at TLC. Strowman shows up, and tells him he needs the TLC match more than anything. He wants it so badly he will fight Roman Reigns. Axel is reluctant due to wearing a three-piece suit at the moment, but Cesaro says that Axel might be scared, and Sheamus says the fifth man would not be afraid of Roman. Axel sets out to find Roman.

Finn Balor shows up. Finn Balor did not know what to think when he first saw Sister Abigail, and thought it was another trick at first. He soon found out he was wrong, as it reminded him about Irish mythology involving the dead walking the earth. Bray Wyatt may have his tricks, but he has his trick as well. Just like in Irish legends, he too will slay a monster with a demon of his own. His demon has no fear, his demon dreams about nightmares, and his demon is dying to meet Sister Abigail. He then tells Bray Wyatt to run.

We see yet another vignette for Asuka.

She plans to beat Alexa Bliss at TLC and become a seven-time Women's Champion.

During the match, Sheamus and Cesaro try to stop Roman Reigns, but their efforts are thwarted by Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, who take their brawl from ringside to the stage to backstage. As they brawl backstage, The Miz leaves the commentary table and lowers an automatic door, keeping all four men in the parking garage. Later on in the match, the arena turns red, and someone crawls out of the ring. That someone is Kane, who has not been seen in WWE in months. With his help, Braun Strowman is able to decimate Roman Reigns for the win. The Miz then announces that Kane is his team's fifth man.

Charly Caruso interviews Roman Reigns. He is not surprised what happened to Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. He is not worried about them, however, as they are working on a strategy, and he is focused on The Miz tonight. He plans to keep it simple: he hopes to break The Miz's jaw, and he plans on leaving tonight as Intercontinental Champion.

Dana Warrior stands with the Raw Women's Division and three cancer survivors in the ring as she announces that WWE and Susan G. Komen have tag teamed for another year. She says these survivors - Dianne Primavera, Julie Zaveral and Sherri Goldstein - have exemplified strength and boldness. Their warrior spirit is honored with pink Women's Championships.

The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) walks to the ring from the crowd, similarly to The Shield's (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) entrance, before the next match. Also, Roman Reigns wipes out Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel before the bell rings, then chases them through the crowd and to the stage where he decimates them with a steel chair.

After the match, Sheamus, Cesaro and The Miz assault Roman, and Cesaro hits Roman with the Neutralizer, Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick, and Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale. The Miz retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

He then says if he's wrong, he doesn't want to be right. He says if he were the Cruiserweight Division, he'd be jealous, too. He then says that he has earned every penny he's earned and that he is a star. Enzo then says he crossed the line, not got in line, to get the Cruiserweight title, and tells the rest of the division to fall in line, as they all put their hands on him, and says he has another clause which states that if any of the other Cruiserweight lay a hand on him, they not only lose their title shot, they lose their livelihoods and get fired. Enzo then brags about beating up Neville and calls the Cruiserweight division "sawft." Neville shows up with other cruiserweights, and soon, the full division shows up. Enzo gets in the ring, but he is surrounded. Enzo mocks everyone as he hides behind his clause, then General Manager Kurt Angle shows up. He confirms that the two clauses are official and are being enforced, but says they does not apply to the newest member of the Cruiserweight Division: Kalisto. He says Cena said a lot of things and backed it up, and says he has done that and held the fort down for 15 years. This makes him even prouder that he beat John Cena, and says it is the biggest win of his career. Roman then says he doesn't understand why he is suddenly talking to "an idiot" like Miz. The Miz says he is "the guy," because he is the one in the ring with the championship after last night and the one who proved Jason Jordan a loser. Roman says Jordan is a thoroughbred, and that Miz can't beat him one-on-one. He says he can't win without Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, and tells Miz to get him a drink. Miz says this show is a classy establishment, and they do not drink beer. Miz says Roman was riding coattails himself five years ago, and says The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) would beat The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns). Roman says The Shield would whip their asses, and says The Shield is not coming back since he is doing his thing and Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose theirs. After Roman says he is going for the Universal title, The Miz says Roman has disrespected The Miztourage, and says Roman hasn't won the big one yet. Miz says that since he came to Raw, he has won matches where it mattered and became the man to beat. Roman takes this as a challenge, and asks the crowd if they want to see him beat The Miz. The Miz wants no part of this, but Roman wants a fight. The Miz leaves with the rest of The Miztourage, but General Manager Kurt Angle shows up. Angle tells Miz to tell Maryse he'll be home late, because Roman vs. Miz is now official. As for Bo and Curtis, they have a match with Jason Jordan and Matt Hardy...and it's next.

Matt Hardy and Jason Jordan beat The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel). During the match, it is announced that Jeff Hardy's right shoulder is injured following last week's Six Pack Challenge Match and will require surgery.

Elias beats Apollo Crews after kicking at Titus O'Neil, distracting Apollo just enough to hit Drift Away when he gets him back in the ring. After the match, Elias gets Titus in the ring, but Titus fights back.

Charly Caruso interviews Finn Balor. Finn thanks Bray Wyatt for doubting him as a man and pushing him to the limit. He also thanks Bray for making him do things he didn't think he would do, and hopes he feels a bit of humility, not just for him, but for Goldust and anyone else he has victimized in the past. With Bray Wyatt now behind him, Finn is looking forward to taking back the WWE Universal Championship.

Curt Hawkins is in the ring. He says the "Curt Hawkins History Machine" is up and running. He asks who wants to make history with him so he can end his losing streak...and Braun Strowman answers. Hawkins runs into the crowd only to be choke slammed into a table and power slammed into the LED boards of the Minitron. Braun gets back in the ring says he will be razing a path of destruction after what happened, and he will not stop until he gets a real fight. That challenge is answered by Dean Ambrose, who glances at Hawkins before shrugging and heading to the ring.

Braun Strowman beats Dean Ambrose after catching him out of the air and hitting him with a running powerslam.

General Manager Kurt Angle asks a referee to keep an eye out for The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) when The Miz faces Roman Reigns when Enzo Amore shows up. Enzo asks Angle how big he wants to make the show tonight, and wants to have a championship celebration tonight. Angle says Enzo's victory was suspect, but Enzo gets worked up about it, saying everyone gets one, and Angle lets him have it. When Angle tries to give him advice concerning his first-ever championship reign, Enzo turns it down.

Tonight's great moment in WWE History: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with the Coors Light truck and the beer bath from March 1999.

In the locker room, Seth Rollins hands Dean Ambrose an ice pack and asks him to be more careful. Dean says he's taking chances and risks, but Seth says he has a match and wanted him to be at ringside. Seth asks him to let him know when he does something like this again. Dean tells Seth to be less predictable. Dean mentions what Seth has done as of late as a counter-point, and Seth says he will talk to General Manager Kurt Angle and get a match with Strowman next week.

Alexa Bliss shows up. Alexa says she has had issues with the fans in the past, but she considers each and every one of them her friends. She says the fans feel that way, too, but she has to be honest with them. She is disappointed with each and every one of them. She says she beat four women - the best the red brand has to offer - only to get nonsense and gossip on her social media feed. She says the fans are so preoccupied with tomorrow that they don't care if they are in front of a goddess right now. Alexa goes on to say that she doesn't need this, as she cleaned the red brand's Women's division out. Suddenly, Mickie James shows up. Mickie James says she was not in last night's Fatal 5-Way, and mentions Alexa's rant on last night's Raw Talk, where she mentioned her by name. Alexa says she respects her, and if she didn't, she wouldn't have brought her back to WWE. As she makes jokes about her, Mickie James wants to know if Alexa is scared. Alexa says Mickie James has still got it and that she loves her, but she doesn't want to see her break a hip. Mickie says she knows who she is, and that she has broken bones, hearts and barriers before Alexa wore a training bra, "which is obviously still working out well for [her]." Mickie wants Alexa to repeat what she said on Raw Talk or get out, as the ring is no place for a coward. Alexa calls Mickie "an old lady," and gets smacked around for her efforts.

Seth Rollins beats Sheamus.

Backstage, Finn Balor runs into Goldust, who is now back in full make-up. He started reflecting on the last couple of months, as he has dealt with some real scrutiny. He says people are jealous of him like Big Cass is jealous, and that the last time he saw him, he was hobbling out of the arena. He says that he was the one holding Big Cass up. As for those who say he can't wrestle, all he can say is that he did it. He then pulls a black cloth off an easel, and behind it is a "Certified G" jersey under glass as he says that he made 205 Live relevant. Roman says he was having a great match with Jason Jordan - who gave him as much trouble as Cena - and that having great matches is something Cena knows nothing about. He says he has had more great matches in two years than Cena has had in his entire career. Cena tells Roman that he has skill, but he has his head up his ass like a one-man human centipede and that he does not run the place like he thinks he does. Cena also says that nobody has cut Roman down to size yet, and that is why he is here. Cena says he is not spinning things; instead, he is challenging himself every day to try everything, and says that Roman says and acts like he feels like he has made it in the WWE. Cena goes on to say that once you feel like you've made it in something, that is the beginning of the end, and that Roman will learn what real failure is all about. He has come out week after week to take Roman to school, and Roman keeps on failing. He says that "the guy" steps up, not fails over and over again, and if Roman really was "the guy," he will get up, dust himself off and take him at No Mercy, which he says will be a cakewalk at this point. He is about to leave when Roman tells him to "bring his bitch ass back here." He says that the WWE does not need Cena, as the WWE can make it without him, and that it is the other way around, saying that Cena needs WWE because he can't break into Hollywood. He tells Cena that he needs help and that he knows a guy. He goes on to tell Cena to say whatever he wants, and that it won't mean anything because he cannot back it up. Cena tells Roman that at No Mercy, he will be like a drug test, because Roman isn't getting past him.

After Heyman gets everyone up to speed on what Lesnar and Strowman have done to each other, he wants to know if Strowman is not only bigger and stronger than Lesnar, but if he is also better than Lesnar, and says that Braun Strowman will have to rip the Universal Championship from Lesnar's waist. Heyman then namedrops a who's who of Superstars who have taken on Cena, and says Cena is the next to step up to Strowman tonight. He wants to know if Cena is able to take on Strowman, and also if Strowman is able to cross the border to Suplex City. He then talks about how the referee asked "Fighter...are you ready?" when Brock was still in MMA and competed in "The Brocktagon," and says Braun doesn't want to wait until No Mercy and is currently looking for an excuse to fight Lesnar. He asks that question again, then tells Lesnar and Strowman to fight. It does not take long at all for Strowman to show up and brawl with Lesnar in the ring. Strowman almost hits a running powerslam, but Lesnar escapes it and hits Strowman with a release German Suplex. Braun Strowman gets up from that immediately, then choke slams Lesnar before hitting him with the running powerslam as soon as he gets back up. He then looks down at the Universal Championship, picks it up, looks at it and then lifts it up into the air before putting it on top of a downed Lesnar and leaving the ring.

Cesaro says Gallows & Anderson are more of a team than Ambrose and Rollins, as it is easy to be a team when things are going your way. At No Mercy, Sheamus and Cesaro will drop "the bar" down on them, because Ambrose and Rollisn are both selfish and self-serving. Sheamus says they will turn to their instincts when the chips are down, and they will throw themselves to the wolves. Cesaro says that when this happens, he and Sheamus will tear them apart.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins guest on commentary for the next match, which is Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) versus Sheamus and Cesaro. Alexa feels General Manager Kurt Angle does not appreciate the fact that they are best friends, but Nia Jax tells her that they are not best friends. Alexa apologizes to Nia for slapping her last week and not getting Nia her title opportunity sooner, and wants to be friends with her again, but Nia Jax then tells Alexa that she might not want to be friends with her again after what she has to say. She has met with Kurt Angle, and says that next week, they will finally have their one-on-one match.

Miz says Enzo is on 205 Live because nobody else can stand him...and that's coming from him. The Miz tells Enzo he can help him, as he has been in his shoes before and learned from it. He says that he sees so much talent in Enzo, but Enzo keeps mistake after mistake. Miz says Neville is more concerned about perfecting his craft while Enzo cares more about hanging with third-rate rappers, and it shows. Miz says Enzo no longer has a seven-foot-tall meal ticket in Enzo, and calls him a "con artist with a couple of catch phrases." Enzo says he is the realest guy in the room. He says he and Miz may have been in similar situations, but says Miz copied everybody to get where he is now. Enzo says he is original while Miz is a carbon copy of others. He says he will take the Cruiserweight title and coming back to Raw so he can beat Miz, as he calls Miz a paper champion. Miz tells Enzo that if he were really championship material, Big Cass would not have abandoned him. Enzo says he has all he needs to fight Miz right now: his two hands.
