Kelani Jordan heads to the ring. Kelani Jordan brags about how he is NXT's best homegrown talent and how she beat Kendal Grey, then says she is better than all the women called up to the main roster as well as the locker room, as she is the only woman to make Lola Vice tap out. She says this should have put her at the front of the line, yet she has never even been given a chance at the NXT Women's Championship; instead, she ahs had to watch all these women that are only half as good as she is fumble opportunities. Kelani says that potential is only for people figuring it out, which she has already done, and it is time for her to become NXT Women's Champion, as everyone has gotten too comfortable underestimating her. Izzi Dame shows up and accuses Kelani of jumping the line, as she actually pinned Lola Vice, and says that if anyone will get a title shot, it is her. Lola Vice shows up and says that while both women have wins, she has won where it mattered. She says that Kelani still could not handle her, then gives Izzi Dame her fifteen minutes of fame with a championship match. After Lola tells Kelani that she will deal with her next, Kendal Grey shows up stating that her eyes are still on the NXT Women's Championship. Kelani says she has already beaten Kendal, but she says that Kelani will not get close to the title due to other issues. Wren Sinclair shows up from out of nowhere and hits Kelani from behind with a crutch, and Kendal and Lola soon clean house and send Izzi and Kelani packing.

Backstage, the women's locker room is watching footage of Nattie when Jaida Parker shows up. Layla Diggs says she looks up to Nattie, then says that Jaida Parker acts like the world is ending after two losses. This leads to Jaida challenging Layla to a match.

After the match, Tristan Angelo tells Shiloh Hill that he belongs "with the plebs" in the crowd, but Shiloh Hill is unfazed. The crowd makes it clear that they would rather have Shiloh as Mr. NXT than Tristan, and Tristan says nobody's opinion is valid and that he represents true beauty. He says that Shiloh will pay for ruining his NXT in-ring debut. Shiloh just laughs Tristan off as Tristan heads to the back.

Backstage, Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair talk about what happened earlier. General Manager Robert Stone shows up and says he cannot have Wren in the ring while not cleared. Wren says Kelani Jordan had it coming and wants a match with her, saying she will be cleared next week. Stone says that if she can get cleared, she will have the match.

Keanu Carver beats Tate Wilder when Wilder goes for a second move off the top rope.

Backstage, Jackson Drake tells Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes that they are a solid tag team and that they will beat DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). Smokes says they need a plan, and Myka Lockwood shows up and says she has Cutler James and Osiris Griffin taken care of.

Backstage, OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) is approached by Shiloh Hill, and they sign the petition for Shiloh to be Mr. NXT. This gives Shiloh fourteen signatures before approaching Birthright (Lexis King, Uriah Connors, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace). They also consider Shiloh a disgrace, and Charlie Dempsey challenges Shiloh to a match so that he can show him what a real wrestler is.

Sarah Schreiber interviews Kam Hendrix in the ring. Kam Hendrix brags about beating two champions in his debut match, then says that he has caught Tony D'Angelo slipping and wants to face him for the NXT Championship. Suddenly, Mason Rook shows up and says that Hendrix acts like their win was all his doing and that the fans know they were a team, and that without him, he would not be calling his shot right now. Mason Rook demands Kam Hendrix give him credit for the victory, but people will not remember Mason and that people will remember him as the one who will beat the champion. Mason Rook beats Kam Hendrix up in response.

We see footage of NXT Live from over last weekend.

The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against DarkState (Dion Lennox and Saquon Shugars) as Myka Lockwood and Jackson Drake deal with Cutler James and Osiris Griffin on the outside, which allows Brad Baylor to pin Saquon - who gets the hot tag . After the match, Cutler James and Osiris Griffin attack Saquon Shugars, then Dion Lennox joins in and attacks him, too. Saquon smacks Lennox in defiance, and this leads to DarkState hitting a three-man powerbomb into the announce table on Saquon.

Logan says that "Gunther knows business," but Gunther says that what is business for Logan is personal to him, and that beating Jey Uso for the title is very personal. He calls Logan trying to take this from him disrespectful, especially with a non-wrestler trying to do it He says that Pat McAfee showed some heart, but he sees no heart in Logan, and when they square off, his accomplishments will mean nothing and he will eat Logan alive. Gunther walks away from Logan, and when Logan calls Gunther a coward, Jey Uso shows up. Logan turns around and runs right into a Superkick. Gunther says he eagerly awaits Rollins' challenge.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for May 19, 2024

Note: This episode is a re-airing of an interview with Adam Pearce from 2010.

The show starts with David Marquez interviewing NWA World Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce. He says taht he grew up to be a hard worker and that those in the West Coast lack the kind of integrity that he does. He talks about how he found out about professional wrestling as a kid in the Mid-West and saw his first show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He says that he looked up to Jack Brisco, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Harley Race and Terry Funk on his way to becoming a professional wrestler. Pearce also talks about his first match at the age of 17 where he tagged with his trainers in a six-man tag match and that when the match start, it is "kill or be killed." He also says that he knew he would become an NWA World Heavyweight Champion as he knew that he was great from the get-go.

David Marquez interviews Adam Pearce about the tournament to crown a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion in 2006. Pearce says that when NWA was bringing their World Heavyweight title, he started petitioning to be part of the tournament. He also talks about his match with Brent Albright in Puerto Rico, and mentions how Bryan Danielson beat him in the semi-finals of the tournament only to be injured in a match in Japan, which brought him back to the tournament in the finals and back to being World Heavyweight Champion. On the subject of Danielson being special guest enforcer, he says that Danielson made the right call on that night despite wearing an eyepatch to protect his injured eye, and for the first time in his fifteen-year career, he had respect for Brent Albright in what would become a rivalry, although he will never be over Albright cementing his legacy at his expense to become World Heavyweight Champion.

We look back on Adam Pearce vs. Brent Albright for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a bullrope match.

David Marquez continues to interview Adam Pearce. Pearce calls Philadelphia, Pennsylvania "a cesspool" and "a dump" full of "maniacs" who only like hardcore wrestling and that he had to head there to face Brent Albright in order to reclaim the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He talks about how Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and became "champion of a toilet," and calls himself a real champion who put the title back on the pedestal it needed to be on. He calls Sean Waltman "a deadbeat" who calls himself a degenerate who has also ridden his coattails because he is not great and wants to taste greatness he will never taste. He calls Phil Shatter "a Neanderthal," and says that while Colt Cabana is talented, there is something off about someone who calls himself "Boom Boom." He calls Charlie Haas a technician and somebody he can respect, and says that while he is tough as nails, he did not get the job done, but tells him to come back for round two because he is a man. On the subject of Joey Ryan, he says that Joey Ryan only cares about what the fans think about him, and says that he would still be tag team champion and not coming after him if he was on the path he is supposed to be on.

We look back on the recent match from two months ago from So-Cal Pro Wrestling between Joey Ryan and Adam Pearce.

David Marquez interviews Adam Pearce regarding The Sheik. Adam Pearce says he knows very little about The Sheik and that his attack on him from behind during his NWA World Championship match with Phil Shatter was a black eye on professional wrestling as well as an injustice, and asks what kind of man would attack anybody like that. He says that he knows that The Sheik is watching and that he will take him beyond his limits, and says that he is not a man to be played with and that he can take things underground and not via the high road if necessary. As for what he looks for in this new television show, he hopes to introduce shining stars as well as veterans and legends to people's homes. He calls Scorpio Sky an unparalleled athlete and says he has all the tools except for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. As for who the rising star of 2010 will be, he says that is not up to him to decide. As for who he would love to face from the past or present, Pearce would face himself and see who would win in a match between Adam Pearce and Adam Pearce, even though he knows the winner would be Adam Pearce.
