Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 9, 2021

We hear from Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm. Sabin tells Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera that he will not get angry and that he will give them a calm, stern warning that they made a big mistake attacking them, for they are Impact Wrestling tag team royalty, and when they have their match, they will kick their ass. Storm says Sabin is the yin to his yang and that while Sabin is calmly going to tell Rohit and Shera what they will do to them, he will show them exactly what they will do and says that he is the kind of guy whom the devil curses his continued existence every time he wakes up in the morning.

We hear from Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera. Rohit says they have everything under control, and admits that while they lost, they left Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm. Rohit reminds Storm that he should be worried about Shera, for they have a past, while he and Sabin have a future. Shera says he remembers every slap Storm ever came him, and says that he will break Storm limb from limb. Rohit says they have a statement to make, for Storm and Sabin are on the marquees and the highlight reels, and they are taking and smashing everything for Storm and Sabin represent the glory they want. He says that in the future, everyone will talk about how he and Shera laid waste to Sabin and Storm as they teach them a lesson tonight.

We hear from Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Fulton says there has always been a plan and a direction, and that TJP has the unfortunate task of stepping into the ring with someone twice his size, and step one is to hurt TJP. Austin says that step two will be him swooping in and becoming a two-time X Division Champion. He says that TJP may have stopped his undefeated streak, but things have changed, and everything will come full circle.

We hear from TJP, who says that it may seem like he does not care - and he does not - and that he is not afraid of Madman Fulton because of what he has already done and Fulton will never done. TJP says he hsd had to take from the hands of people who have built just like Fulton, and hopes that Madman Fulton is willing to kill for the X Division Championship, for he is willing to die for it.

Backstage, Havok thanks Neveah for having her back last week. Neveah says she does not know what the future holds, and Havok proposes they bring their tag team together and see how Neveah feels when they take on Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K at Sacrifice. Neveah is in for the match.

We hear from Sami Callihan, who says that Trey Miguel should have just listened to him, as he gave him every opportunity to walk away and quit, but Trey stuck around just a little bit longer. He then says that he has to make an example out of Trey and everyone he cares about, which is why he went to his wrestling school last week. He says he did mean for things to get messy, and says he just wanted to talk to him like a man, but his hands were tied and Trey sealed their fates. He then says he found someone with potential and passion while he was there, and says that one cannot teach passion.

TJP beats Madman Fulton. After the match, "Inevitable" Ace Austin hits TJP from behind with the X Cup trophy.

Jazz beats Tasha Steelz with an STF after Jordynne Grace pulls Kiera Hogan off the ring apron.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews ODB, who says the Meat and Greet will be open all night when she slaps some respect into Deonna Purrazzo and becomes a five-time Knockouts Champion. Suddenly, Susan shows up and challenges ODB to a match in response to ODB tearing her sleeves off in their last match, and says she will be alone as she doesn't need helpt o beat her. ODB accepts.

Backstage, Trey Miguel runs into Sam, the student from Trey's school that Sami Callihan talked to. Sam says that Sami sees potential in him, and that Sami was right about Trey when he challenges Trey to a match and Trey refuses. Trey reluctantly accepts the challenge just to slap some sense into Sam.

We see a video package chronicling the events leading up to Moose vs. Rich Swann for the Impact World Championship at Sacrifice.

Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm beat Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera after Rohit and Shera argue.

Backstage, XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero) and Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) are arguing when Decay (Rosemary, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus) shows up. When Rosemary mocks XXXL, XXXL walk away, and when Adam Thornstowe says it doesn't matter who Reno Scum hits, Rosemary says Decay is looking for a sacrifice this Saturday. Reno Scum accept the challenge.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) from Sacrifice 2010.

As Eric Young lets Deaner out of a dark room, "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin show up and confront Eric Young for brainwashing Deaner. Deaner attacks Storm, and Eric Young and Joe Doering join in on the beatdown.

Backstage, Brian Myers meets with Scott D'Amore. Myers says that if he fires Eddie Edwards, he can make their legal battle go away. D'Amore says the more Myers has to argue, the less of a case he has. He then says that Myers and Eddie can settle things in a "Hold Harmless" Match, which is a no-rules match, at Sacrifice. Myers irritably walks away.

Before the next match, Sami Callihan calls Trey Miguel a quitter, and says the only thing he has done correctly is train the person he is about to bring out, who is now his protege and has the passion that Trey lacks: Sam Beale.

Trey Miguel quickly beats Sam Beale by submission. After the match, Trey confronts Sami Callihan only for Sami to teleport from the stage to the ring, where he hits Sam Beale with a package piledriver. Trey goes after Sami, but Sami teleports out of the arena.

Backstage, Chris Sabin says he and "The Cowboy" James Storm have known Eric Young for a long time and that Eric disgusts him. Storm says that to kill a snake, you cut its head off, and if they have to go through Joe Doering and Deaner to get to him, they will do it at Sacrifice. Storm makes it clear to Eric Young that they will kick his ass. Suddenly, Jake Something shows up, saying he knows Eric Young will be at ringside and wants to have their back. Young and Sabin accept his help.

We see another paid announcement for AEW Dynamite from Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan. Khan says he is excited about Revolution's buy rate and tomorrow night's Dynamite. Khan talks about some of the things that happened at Revolution, then says that Kenny Omega is terrible at building exploding rings. We then see a rundown of the card for tomorrow night's show.

Scott D'Amore oversees the contract signing between The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) and the team of Juice Robinson and David Finlay. D'Amore, knowing how the drinking between all four men will end, leaves them to sign the contract and bring it back to them. As they keep drinking shots of Talkin' Shop Whiskey, both team keep daring each other to have another shot before signing the contract. Everyone signs the contract before having a third shot, then Juice and Finlay throw their shots into The Good Brothers' faces. This leads to a brawl in the conference room between both teams.

Chris Bey beats "Inevitable" Ace Austin after TJP shows up and sits in a chair on the stage, distracting Austin and causing Fulton to chase him to the back.

At Swinger's Palace, TJP gets some money from John E. Bravo, having won a bet. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander shows up and he and TJP talk about who they have beaten, then Alexander says he will be waiting for him when he retains the X Division title at Sacrifice.

Backstage, Rohit Raju confronts Mahabali Shera over their argument in the ring earlier tonight. Shera tells Rohit he does not owe him anything after grabbing him by the head and pinning him to the wall.

ODB beats Susan after Susan pours out the contents of ODB's flask. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee run out to the ring and gang up on ODB, then Jordynne Grace and Jazz show up and attack Deonna and Kimber. Fire 'n Flava (Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz) then shows up and attack Jordynne and Jazz. They also lay out ODB before standing tall with Deonna, Kimber and Susan in the ring.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore is conducting business when he finds out that Moose is in the ring. Moose mentions D'Amore's big announcement concerning his match against Rich Swann for the Impact World Championship at Sacrifice, and demands D'Amore come to the ring so he can hear it first. After the commercial break, D'Amore shows up, then introduces Rich Swann to the ring before stating that two world champions is one too many and that the TNA World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line, making their match a title unification match. D'Amore also announces that whoever wins the match will be in the main event of Rebellion on April 24th, where the winner will face Kenny Omega for both the AEW World Championship and the unified Impact World Championship. As Swann and Moose stare down in the ring, we see Don Callis on the phone with Kenny Omega. Callis says "I just saw it...just like we planned."

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 9, 2021

Trey Miguel, Willie Mack, Suicide and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beat Ace Austin, Chris Bey, Blake Christian and Shawn Daivari with an Hourglass from Trey to Christian. After the match, Sami Callihan shows up on the video screen and congratulates Trey Miguel before asking him when he will flake out, and tells him to save everyone the embarrassment and just quit right now.

The Impact Wrestling locker room wishes Tommy Dreamer a happy 50th birthday.

Kimber Lee beats ODB with an inside cradle after ODB helps Jazz and Jordynne take out Deonna Purrazzo and Susan.

Backstage, Fallah Bahh finds out he has to pay money to bet at "Swinger's Palace" when he tries to bet a cookie at the Blackjack table. The Swingerettes escort him out, but not before John E. Bravo takes his cookie away.

Backstage, Susan tells Deonna Purrazzo and Kimber Lee that the current situation with ODB, Jazz and Jordynne Grace is not good and that it must be settled in a six-Knockout tag team match, much to the chagrin of Kimber and Deonna. Kimber Lee tries to stop Susan from talking to Scott D'Amore.

Cousin Jake heads to the ring. He thought he had it all figured out until Deaner betrayed him, and says that while there is another path, it is not the way he thought it would be. Suddenly, Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) shows up. Eric Young says that Cousin Jake is starting to figure things out and that there is only one answer, and tells Jake to open his eyes, "become the best version of Jake" and take back his life as he hands him a red vest. Jake tosses the vest away. Jake says that if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, and says that he stands for "Jake Something." He attacks Eric Young, but the numbers game quickly catches up. As they wrap a steel chair around Jake's neck, Deaner tells the rest of the group he wants this. Eric Young then tells Jake he made the biggest mistake of his life, and that everything will end for good at No Surrender.

We hear from Rohit Raju, who says TJP could not beat him while he was X Division Champion and had to turn to "his monster" Manik. Rohit says he has turned to "his monster" Mahabali Shera, and at No Surrender, he will become X Division Champion again.

We see another paid advertisement from Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan. Khan says he was "The Forbidden Door" all along and that he had to open himself to new experiences following KENTA's debut before tomorrow night's card for Dynamite is run down. Khan thanks Kenny Omega and Don Callis for everything they have done in Impact and changing him to the point that he opened "the forbidden door," and says he wants more ratings and more people showing up. He also says he will be back in Impact sooner rather than later to show that "the forbidden door" swings both ways.

We hear from The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Anderson says that while "The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin are good, they are not The Good Brothers and they are not the tag team champions, and tonight, they will do what they do best: beat them up. Gallows says that what will happen to them will happen to Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) and will happen at No Surrender.

Nevaeh beats Kiera Hogan by disqualification when referee Brandon Tolle catches Tasha Steelz getting physically involved in the match while dealing with Havok at ringside.

The All Elite Wrestling locker room wishes Tommy Dreamer a happy 50th birthday.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore is met by an angry Fire 'n Flava, calling referee Brandon Tolle has been an unfair official since the Fire 'n Flava Festival. D'Amore says Tolle will not be the referee in their title match at No Surrender against Neveah and Havok. He also tells them that their match will be a no-disqualification before getting them out of his office.

XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero), Tennille Dashwood and Kaleb with a K are in the ring. Larry D talks about his and Acey Romero's match against Decay (Rosemary and Crazzy Steve) at No Surrender, and despite having been in jail, he does not hit a woman, and has a solution in that in Tennille. Tennille asks what kind of tag team name "Decay" is, saying they need a dentists, and says that nobody is freakish enough to tag with them at No Surrender. Kaleb then says he wants some action tonight, and calls out a member of Decay wanting to face him. Decay shows up, and Rosemary says she and Crazzy Steve have found a tag team partner: AAA wrestler Black Taurus.

Black Taurus quickly beats Kaleb with a K.

Backstage, Brian Myers pays Hernandez, and pays him some more money prior to their upcoming tag team match. Suddenly, Fallah Bahh is seen watching Hernandez count his money.

"The Cowboy" James Storm and Chris Sabin beat The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) by disqualification after Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) grab at Storm and Sabin as they are about to get the win.

Backstage, Matt Hardy tells Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) that they took control and put themselves at the front of the line, and says that he wants them to get the Impact Wrestling tag team titles before Scott D'Amore shows up. D'Amore says Private Party crossed the line earlier, and to ensure that Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm does not interfere in their match for the Impact World Tag Team Championships, D'Amore makes their Impact World Tag Team Championship match at No Surrender a Triple Threat Match with Chris Sabin and "The Cowboy" James Storm added in, saying they cannot interfere in the match if they are part of it. Private Party are shocked, and Matt Hardy is livid.

Scott D'Amore moderates the contract signing between Tommy Dreamer and Rich Swann for their Impact World Championship match at No Surrender. Swann signs first, then passes the contract to Dreamer. Dreamer thanks Swann and D'Amore, saying there are people in the locker room more deserving than him of a World title shot and that he wants to seize every opportunity. Dreamer says he had to create history by beating two of his best friends - Taz, who was the best man at his wedding, and Christian - and tells Swann that he knows that Swann has a bad leg and that he will not hold back when he goes for it. As Dreamer is about to sign the contract, Moose makes his entrance. Moose says he rarely gets angry, then says the match taking place pisses him off as Swann promised him a world title shot first and says he is taking the night off. D'Amore tells Moose to be a man of his word and stand down, and tells him that if he gets involved, he will suspend him indefinitely. Moose says he has no reason to interfere, as he can beat Swann and Dreamer. Moose says he has beaten Dreamer before, and that he can hurt Swann before as he is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Swann says he is the real world champion, then Dreamer tells them to shut up and mentions a text message he got from Moose. Dreamer says Impact was about to cut Moose loose and that he needed Dreamer to light a fire under his ass, then says Moose does not get it and that everyone is united in their love for wrestling, saying he wrestles for the future, not for money. Dreamer says that he may get knocked down, but he will keep getting back up and that while he is still alive, he will continue to use his platform for good, and if he wins the Impact World Championship, his platform will be bigger. He tells Swann that it will be an honor to tear it up with him and help the world forget their troubles for three hours, and says he will leave the ring with him united in the love he has for the business. He signs the contract and shakes Swann's hand.

Swann says he knows Willie is banged up, but he needs him on Sunday to become tag team champions, for there is no stopping them. Both men shake hands and hug.

We hear from oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Madman Fulton). Jake Crist tells Sami Callihan that Sunday night will be special for them, but Dave says it could have been a special night if it were not for him, and says that Sunday is bigger than all of them. He says that Sami is the man to lead Impact Wrestling into the future, and that Sunday is about how hard it is to kill oVe and take them off the pedestal, not Tessa Blanchard, and says that they will prove why Ohio means more than anything else when Sami Callihan retains the World Championship. He also says that Madman Fulton is the world's most dangerous man, not Ken Shamrock. Madman Fulton tells Ken Shamrock he has already broken his ribs, and on Sunday, he will tear every ligament, shatter his orbital bone and break everything.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger drugs Joey Ryan's water bottle only to find out Tommy Dreamer is behind him. Dreamer tells him it is time to grow up, saying he saw what he did and dares him to drink the water in the bottle or else he will hit him with a Kendo stick. Johnny drinks the water.

All the while, Rosemary is distracted long enough to allow Havok the win.

Backstage, Moose meets with Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes and asks RVD if he can trust him despite their history from Slammiversary. RVD tells Moose he is out there to win, and Moose tells him to bring his A-game. Meanwhile, Johnny Swinger is passed out on a nearby couch, and Joey Ryan and "The Canadian Destroyer" Petey Williams notice this. After Petey asks Joey if he has a match with Swinger next week, Joey then asks Petey for a permanent marker so he can draw on Swinger.

Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes show up. Forbes introduces RVD, then RVD says he is big all over the world and obligated to explain his recent actions, but says there is no way anybody could understand unless everybody everywhere is trying to be them, which nobody understands. He says that while looking up to be him is one thing, trying to be him is another, and says he is expected to raise the bar as if he hasn't done enough for the business. Suddenly, Tommy Dreamer shows up. Dreamer wants to know what happened between RVD and Rhino, then proposes that RVD and Rhino have a match with him as special guest referee. RVD tells Dreamer he is living in the past, clinging onto him and holding him back. RVD says he has his own things to take care, then passes on the match between RVD and Rhino. As he and Katie leave however, Rhino shows up and brawls with RVD. Security quickly moves into place to separate both men.

He plans to give the people in the compound the show of a lifetime, and announces his son King Maxel will make his in-ring debut. Suddenly, Rockstar Spud shows up, and Matt deems him worthy of deletion. Spud says nobody is getting deleted, especially not him. He says everyone, including himself, is sick and tired of the entire Hardy clan, including King Maxel, who hasn't even gotten his first match and is more over than him. He wants to be Maxel's debut opponent so he can teach him some respect. Matt Hardy sanctions the match, then brings in a referee, then declares the match a no-disqualification match. After King Maxel makes his entrance, Senor Benjamin zaps Spud from behind with a taser, allowing King Maxel to beat Rockstar Spud in his in-ring debut. After the match, Glenn Gilberti (also known as Disco Inferno) is seen backstage saying "Thank God it wasn't me this time. Hey, does anybody want to play poker?"

Also, Rockstar Spud partners with Hornswoggle and Gregory Shane Helms is changed back into his 3 Count era persona after being sent into the Lake of Reincarnation (and becoming The Hurricane after being superkicked into the Lake of Reincarnation, being sent into the lake for a second time).
