Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 17, 2016

We see Drew Galloway and Lashley entering the arena earlier today. They both immediately spot each other and brawl backstage. The brawl doesn't last long.

"Willow" shows up. He says that he has no fear and is now free in an electronically masked voice. Jeff Hardy shows up. He says there is one Willow, and that Willow is in him. He says it's now time to expose the fake Willow. He asks him three questions: do you love? Do you hate? Do you die forever late in Willow's way? He then fights him. This starts a match that doesn't last long as Hardy quickly beats the fake Willow. He tries to unmask the fake Willow, but another Willow attacks him from behind. A third Willow shows up, this one without his face covered underneath the mask. He says he will become Jeff Hardy's worst nightmare.

Slammiversary is live June 12th on pay-per-view.

After the commercial break, the third Willow unmasks. It's none other than Matt Hardy, who says that Jeff loves Willow more than he loves him. He says that people love him, but people love Jeff, too, and heused his creation against him. He tells Jeff that he should have finished the job when he had the chance. After the other two Willows beat him up, Matt tells Jeff that he will not die and he will not rest until Jeff fights his personal armageddon. Matt then beats Jeff up before choking him out, and then says "Everything ends...even the indestructable Jeff Hardy."

Velvet Sky is backstage when she runs into Maria Kanellis' apprentice, Allie (who viewers may recognize as Cherry Bomb from the indy scene). Allie tells her that she has a match against Sienna tonight, and if Velvet loses, she's fired. Velvet Sky gets in Allie's face and scares the crap out of her for saying Sienna is tougher than her, and says "At least we know who's tougher than you."

Jeremy Borash interviews Dixie Carter, who declares that Lashley vs. Drew Galloway for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship a lumberjack match due to the animosity between Lashley and Galloway.

Sienna beats Velvet Sky. Velvet Sky is fired from TNA as a result of this match.

We hear from "the Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis. Bennett says that there's no other girl that compares to Maria as we see them both by the pool and see Maria swim. Bennett then says EC3 Ethan Carter III is consumed with fighting him, and that EC3 needs to follow his road to redemption as he looks to his future as TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are in the ring. Bennett then says he could have easily had another wrestling match with Ethan Carter III, but it would have accomplished nothing and he would have won again. He tells EC3 he needs to overcome the demons of his past, or he won't face him at Slammiversary. Bennett says he is looking to the future, where he wins the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and becomes a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He then calls out a Hall of Famer who exemplifies black and white...and we get Earl Hebner. Hebner shows up, and Bennett tells Hebner he wants to fight him. Hebnet tells Bennett he's a referee, but Bennett says Hebner is the only active Hall of Famer on the roster. He tells referee Steve Stiffler to get in the ring and ref his match because he doesn't want "[Hebner's] stupid son" to referee this match. Bennett then eggs Hebner on, and Hebner slaps him. The bell rings, and then Bennett knocks Hebner out. Stiffler reluctantly makes the three-count...and Hebner kicks out. Hebner hits Bennett with a low blow, then Maria distracts Hebner, who rips his shirt off and tosses it at her. He then turns around only to eat a big boot from Bennett, who wins the match. After the match, Bennett goes on the attack again, but Ethan Carter III makes the save. Bennett and Maria retreat, and Bennett lays down the next challenge: Tyrus in a Last Man Standing match.

Ethan Carter III beats Tyrus in a Last Man Standing Match after stacking some steel steps on Tyrus and putting his weight on them after striking them with a steel chair. "The Miracle" Mike Bennett shows up after the match, nonplussed by the situation as he stares down EC3 from the top of the entrance ramp.

We see Lashley training in the gym.

eff Hardy says his brother Matt Hardy has gone off the deep end. He vows to end this.

Eddie Edwards and DJ Z beat The Helms Dynasty (Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett).

We see Drew Galloway in the gym as we look back on his TNA World Heavyweight Championship reign.

It's time for Fact of Life with Eli Drake. Tonight's guest is Bram. He says that his Feast or Fired briefcase is power, and that it could change lives. He then introduces Bram. Bram tells Eli Drake that his briefcase is actually dangerous. Drake says he's the most dangerous force in his life right now, and he tries to make him a deal: hand the TNA King of the Mountain Championship over now and be spared the humiliation. Bram says that's not going to happen. Eli stops the show and leaves. Bram says Eli Drake is leaving because he has no testicles, and tells him to get back in the ring. Eli Drake then teases cashing his Feast of Fired briefcase...but he says he won't do it tonight. He leaves again only to be tossed back into the ring by Bram, starting a brawl. Bram almost hits The Brighter Side of Suffering, but Eli Drake flees.

Ethan Carter III confronts "The Miracle" Mike Bennett concerning their rematch, but Bennett says there's one more thing for him to do: face Matt Hardy next week and beat him.

Drew Galloway beats Lashley by disqualification in a lumberjack match and retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after the heel lumberjacks drag Galloway out of the ring. This starts a lumberjack brawl with several spots where a few guys go into the ring and dive into everybody from over the top rope. After everyone is down after Eddie Edwards superplexes Andrew Everett into the rest of the lumberjacks, Bram attacks Lashley, then Eli Drake attacks Bram, then Jeff Hardy attacks Eli Drake, then Matt Hardy attacks Jeff before "The Miracle" Mike Bennett tosses Eil Drake out only to get chased out of the ring by EC3. Lashley Spears EC3, then Drew Galloway gets the last word on Lashley and all the lumberjacks.

Final Impact - Impact Wresting recap for August 26, 2015

The show begins with The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) showing up. Jeff apologizes for breaking his leg and promises he'll make it up to the fans. He then says that in the beginning, only he, Jeff and the fans believed they would make it...and here they are. Jeff then says that Matt needs one more shot, and if he can get it, he can become TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Matt says it's been one year since TNA welcomed him back, and everyone from the company to the fans to his family have been incredible to him. He says that his last match with Ethan Cater III was incredible and could have went either way, and says he feels he is the man who can carry TNA into the future, and tells EC3 that he's taking the World title. Just like Jeff, he feels he can become World champion with one more shot. Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. EC3 says that in 1999, he was at a live event for a match that involved ladders...and the Hardys. Now that he's dealing with them, he says he couldn't be any more disappointed, and says that he was victorious in his last meeting with Matt...and that he's not getting his one more chance. EC3 and Tyrus turn around to leave, but Jeff Hardy wants to know from EC3 why he's a "grade A jackass." EC3 says he is a franchise, and says the World title is "top guy stuff." He calls Jeff "a daredevil who can't stick a landing" and tells him to tread lightly. Jeff knows he's not medically cleared, but he's ready to throw down with a steel chair. EC3 whispers into Tyrus' ear, then says he's a granter of opportunities. He says that if the crowd can chant "Matt 4 Champ," he'll grant the rematch. He grants it, but there's a caveat: if Matt wins, he becomes World champion. If EC3 wins, Jeff has to be his personal assistant and has to do all his menial work.

Eric Young tells Chris Melendez he can't be held responsible for what happens to him, and says he's crazy to accept another match from him. He's taken everything he can from him, and now he plans to take the one thing he has left: his prosthetic leg.

Jeff and Karen Jerrett says they're happy to be here and that tonight will be a huge night on Impact Wrestling.

Eric Young beats Chris Melendez after putting legs hand on the ropes during the pinfall. EY takes Melendez' leg, calls himself a "big game hunter," then says that "it's going on the mantle."

Tigre Uno retains the TNA X Division Championship against Sonjay Dutt and DJ Z.

"The Cowboy" James Storm tells Abyss and Manik that Mahabali Shera (or Khoya) is no longer part of The Revolution, and that it's all about them now. He wants Abyss and Manik to bring the gold back to them. Storm tells Manik that if he ever sees him dancing like a monkey again, he will cut him down.

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Revolution (Abyss and Manik), thanks to Mahabali Shera stopping "The Cowboy" James Storm from doing much in the way of interference.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) appear again. Jeff says that Ethan Carter III is always throwing money around, and there are still a lot of unknowns about the deal. Nevertheless, Jeff accepts Ethan Carter III's caveat for Matt Hardy vs. EC3 for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship next week.

Brooke beats Velvet Sky by disqualification when Jade and Marti Bell attack Brooke outside of the ring. Jade and Marti Bell continue their attack on Velvet Sky, but Rebel shows up to make the save...or so we think. Rebel kicks Velvet Sky in the back of the head, and the three of them attack Velvet Sky. Taryn Terrell appears on the TitanTron, telling Velvet she made a mistake messing with The Dollhouse (Taryn, Jade, Marti), and that she just met the newest member. Rebel is officially a member of The Dollhouse.

Bobby Roode plans to prove to Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter and the wrestling world why he is the "It Factor of Professional Wrestling" by getting a shot at the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

Mr. Anderson says that actions speak louder than words...and that's what he has to say about the TNA King of the Mountain Championship. Meanwhile, Drew Galloway is on the phone backstage...

Bobby Roode beats James Storm, Lashley and Mr. Anderson to become #1 contender to the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

The cover girl for the 2016 TNA Knockouts Championship is...all three. Brooke, Gail Kim and Velvet Sky will all be on the cover of the calendar.

Ethan Carter III says that Jeff and Matt Hardy accepting his challenge is the best decision they've ever made, and says that after Matt loses, he wants no qualms about it as he welcomes Jeff Hardy to Team EC3.

Dixie Carter shows up. She says that when someone sincerely offers their help, you listen and be a team player, and do not let stubbornness get in the way. She says that she was one of the few people who knew that the opportunity for Jeff Jarrett to help was there, and says she couldn't be any happier. She asks him to come to the ring, and he does. Jarrett says that the new chapter in their relationship was so out of the blue that it was the very last thing he was expecting, but he's glad it happened. He says that he's glad that Dixie accepted his help after what has happened since that phone call, as it is win-win for TNA, Global Force Wrestling and the wrestling fan. He says they've kept it going, but they've got to keep it growing. Dixie says that together, he and Jarrett are unstoppable, and that the show needs a leader. Before Dixie can make a decision on whether to make Jarrett that leader, Drew Galloway crashes the proceedings. He says that the TNA-GFW partnership has gotten everyone in the back fired, and respects Jeff Jarrett for what he's doing, but says that he found out something twenty minutes ago: security footage showing the license plates of the two getaway cars from the attacks, both sharing one name: Jeff Jarrett. Galloway knows that with him and Bully Ray out of the picture, Jarrett has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Jarrett vehemently defends himself, but Galloway threatens to drop him where he stands if he's lying about who it was. Suddenly, the perpetrator reveals themselves: Karen Jarrett, who says she did it for her family and for Global Force Wrestling, saying that Jeff deserves this. She says that Jeff started TNA, and that one little spark can cause a giant inferno. All of a sudden, Jeff Jarrett kicks Drew Galloway in the balls, and as his Global Force Wrestling storm the ring and attack Galloway, Jarrett tells Dixie that sometimes, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Rockstar Spud and the TNA locker room rush in to counter them, but it turns into an all-out brawl where the GFW roster comes out on top. The show ends with the GFW roster and the Jarretts celebrating the start of a hostile takeover of TNA.

Kurt Angle enters the ring. He tells Ethan Carter III his run for the World title is coming to an end. He tells EC3 to bring out his mystery opponent right now, but only EC3 and Tyrus show up. After saying he will take the title from him in seven days, Angle tells him to shut up so he can get the match over with, but EC3 continue to talk about how he's beaten everyone TNA has put in front of him, but it only convinces Angle that EC3 is in love with himself, and Angle promises to end his undefeated streak next week and make him tap. Ethan Carter III is in the mood to fight after that, but it's all a tease as he brings out the opponent he's picked for Angle tonight...Matt Hardy.

Who will bring balance in a world on the razor's edge? Play time is over...

Jeremy Borash interviews Matt Hardy when Ethan Carter III shows up. It does not take long for Matt Hardy to shut EC3 up.

Jeff Jarrett and his wife Karen Jarrett suddenly show up, much to the surprise of Josh Mathews and D'Angelo Dinero. Jeff is wearing a Global Force Wrestling T-shirt. A week ago, he was promoting a GFW show when TNA contacted him with a proposal. That proposal is a match, and not just any match. It's a King of the Mountain Match, and it's at Slammiversary this Sunday. Jarrett rattles off the names of wrestlers who became TNA legends, then hands the mike to Karen so she can air her reaction. She was against this at first, but she supported Jeff, who she says didn't leave TNA the way he wanted to go out. Jarrett says he's in the match Sunday, and says he's going to come out on top in TNA one last time.

Vader beats Bram by disqualification when Bram hits him with the steel turnbuckle. Bram continues to attack him when he is attacked by none other than "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan, who hasn't been seen in TNA in almost two years.

Kurt Angle beats Matt Hardy with the Ankle Lock Submission. After the match, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up, and Matt Hardy fights them both off long enough so that Angle can fight back and put EC3 in the Ankle Lock Submission to end the show.

After the show, it is revealed that the contract signing segment involving "The Cowboy" James Storm and Magnus was not shown on television because their match is that personal. Their match is non-sanctioned, which means anything goes, the referee is only there to call the bell, and that nobody can be held liable for what happens.

Dixie tries to cancel the world title rematch she made official this week and take him someplace nice far away, but Bully Ray shows up.

Suicide beats Kenny King and Chris Sabin to win the TNA X Division Championship! But Hulk Hogan shows up with a beat-up TJ Perkins...the real Suicide! (This leads to the Internet laughing at TNA as he is not the first to portray Suicide, with Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Kiyoshi having donned the Suicide suit before Perkins ever did.) After it is revealed that someone jumped Perkins and stole the Suicide suit, the fake Suicide disappears with the X Division title.

Hulk Hogan wants the fake Suicide to reveal himself before the end of the night!

Sting and Kurt Angle look for the fake Suicide...

DOC and Knux of Aces and Eights run in to provide a distraction, but Sting and Kurt Angle beat them up and force them to retreat, enabling Samoa Joe to beat Mr. Anderson with the Rear Naked Choke for a ten-point victory! It is then revealed that Joe is in the Main Event Mafia!

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 23, 2013

Hulk Hogan enters the ring. He's not letting AJ Styles's defection bother him, because he knows who his real family is. He calls out Sting who shows up. Hulk appreciates what Sting did, but he didn't have to put part of his future on the line. Sting says he needs just one shot (the correct word is "has") and that if he can't beat Bully Ray, he doesn't deserve the World title. Hulk reminds him he runs the show, not Bully. Brooke Hogan shows up, and says she's to blame for all of this, as she put a wedge between Hulk and Sting after what happened at Lockdown. Hulk wants her to move forward, but Brooke still feels guilt. Bully Ray shows up and says it's all him, but it's Brooke's fault he's still in love with her and still thinks of her. He goes on to say he will always love her before he walks away.

Magnus runs them off, and tells Wes Brisco he's made the battle between him and Aces and Eights personal for attacking his friend Sam Shaw. He goes to say that all Wes deserves is a beating, right here, right now!

As Magnus fights Wes Brisco, DOC and Garett Bischoff help Brisco assault Magnus...but Samoa Joe returns and saves the day!

Bully tthen gives a beer to AJ, who chugs it down quickly before he gets his colors. Before he can put him on, Kurt Angle shows up and tells AJ his legacy is going down the toilet before he tells him to go ahead and put the colors on if it's what he was. AJ Styles does just that, then Angle runs in to the ring only to get beat down. Bully Ray gives AJ the hammer to hit Angle with as the rest of Aces and Eights hold Angle back, and AJ cleans Angle's clock. When the rest of Aces and Eights salute the audience, AJ takes the hammer and beats down a few members of Aces and Eights with it before running off. It was a trick all along. AJ Styles rides alone.

Kurt asks AJ which side he's on, and Sting intervenes to tell Aj to do the right thing as TNA is "the house that AJ built." AJ walks away yet again, and Kurt goes after him. This only causes both men to brawl, and gives Devon, Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson the necessary distraction to attack a sidetracked Sting.

AJ Styles leaves the arena.

Aces and Eights head to the ring for some club business...and Bully Ray makes D'Lo Brown feel dejected.

Despite D'Lo Brown's interference attempts, Magnus beats D.O.C.

Aces and Eights almost beat D'Lo Brown's head in with a hammer, but Mr. Anderson has an idea: bust him down to prospect status.

He calls them out, but Bad Influence (Christopher Daniels and Kazarian) show up and say they've been victims of those guys, too. They say Hulk Hogan may not have the answer to Aces and Eights, but they do...and the answer is four...Fortune Four. They want AJ to join them, but even James Storm isn't buying it. Kazarian calls Storm irrelevant, and this causes Storm to flip out and go at it with them only to get floored. Aces and Eights then show up and try to put Storm through a table, but Joseph Park rushes to the ring. He tries to take down Aces and Eights only to metaphorically take a bullet. Bully Ray tells them to hold up as he and Devon want him for getting into "family business." They then put Park through the table with a 3D - a Dudley Death Drop. He has a solution concerning Aces and Eights, and calls out Hogan so he can explain it. Hogan shows up. He wants to take on Bully Ray in exchange for a World title shot. Hulk believes in him, but sees right through what he's trying to do and says Morgan is in this for the wrong reasons. He declines and says he'll get all this done himself.

Bully says Hulk is scared of him. Hulk says otherwise, and that Hulkamania will never die. Another staredown occurs. Hulk gets emotional at first, and Bully turns his back with glee...but Hulk rip his shirt. Both men point at each other in typical Hulkster fashion before Hulk punches Bully, who bails out as Aces and Eights come out to the ring. Bully orders Aces and Eights to surround him, but the lights go out. When they come back on, Sting is in the ring pointing his bat at a cornered Hogan. He turns around and pushes the hat off Bully Ray's head with the bat. Hulk and Sting clean house, but Sting points the bat at Hogan again before walking away. What will the tension between Sting and Hogan lead to? Stay tuned!

He wants a staff member from the back to tell him why he was fired. Kurt Angle shows up, and says he'll say what he needs to...to his face. Kurt jumps D'Lo as his way of telling him how he feels only to get jumped by Aces and Eights. The TNA locker room backs him up immediately, and Aces and Eights retreat.
