Final Impact - Impact Wresting recap for August 26, 2015

The show begins with The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) showing up. Jeff apologizes for breaking his leg and promises he'll make it up to the fans. He then says that in the beginning, only he, Jeff and the fans believed they would make it...and here they are. Jeff then says that Matt needs one more shot, and if he can get it, he can become TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Matt says it's been one year since TNA welcomed him back, and everyone from the company to the fans to his family have been incredible to him. He says that his last match with Ethan Cater III was incredible and could have went either way, and says he feels he is the man who can carry TNA into the future, and tells EC3 that he's taking the World title. Just like Jeff, he feels he can become World champion with one more shot. Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up. EC3 says that in 1999, he was at a live event for a match that involved ladders...and the Hardys. Now that he's dealing with them, he says he couldn't be any more disappointed, and says that he was victorious in his last meeting with Matt...and that he's not getting his one more chance. EC3 and Tyrus turn around to leave, but Jeff Hardy wants to know from EC3 why he's a "grade A jackass." EC3 says he is a franchise, and says the World title is "top guy stuff." He calls Jeff "a daredevil who can't stick a landing" and tells him to tread lightly. Jeff knows he's not medically cleared, but he's ready to throw down with a steel chair. EC3 whispers into Tyrus' ear, then says he's a granter of opportunities. He says that if the crowd can chant "Matt 4 Champ," he'll grant the rematch. He grants it, but there's a caveat: if Matt wins, he becomes World champion. If EC3 wins, Jeff has to be his personal assistant and has to do all his menial work.

Eric Young tells Chris Melendez he can't be held responsible for what happens to him, and says he's crazy to accept another match from him. He's taken everything he can from him, and now he plans to take the one thing he has left: his prosthetic leg.

Jeff and Karen Jerrett says they're happy to be here and that tonight will be a huge night on Impact Wrestling.

Eric Young beats Chris Melendez after putting legs hand on the ropes during the pinfall. EY takes Melendez' leg, calls himself a "big game hunter," then says that "it's going on the mantle."

Tigre Uno retains the TNA X Division Championship against Sonjay Dutt and DJ Z.

"The Cowboy" James Storm tells Abyss and Manik that Mahabali Shera (or Khoya) is no longer part of The Revolution, and that it's all about them now. He wants Abyss and Manik to bring the gold back to them. Storm tells Manik that if he ever sees him dancing like a monkey again, he will cut him down.

The Wolves (Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The Revolution (Abyss and Manik), thanks to Mahabali Shera stopping "The Cowboy" James Storm from doing much in the way of interference.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) appear again. Jeff says that Ethan Carter III is always throwing money around, and there are still a lot of unknowns about the deal. Nevertheless, Jeff accepts Ethan Carter III's caveat for Matt Hardy vs. EC3 for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship next week.

Brooke beats Velvet Sky by disqualification when Jade and Marti Bell attack Brooke outside of the ring. Jade and Marti Bell continue their attack on Velvet Sky, but Rebel shows up to make the save...or so we think. Rebel kicks Velvet Sky in the back of the head, and the three of them attack Velvet Sky. Taryn Terrell appears on the TitanTron, telling Velvet she made a mistake messing with The Dollhouse (Taryn, Jade, Marti), and that she just met the newest member. Rebel is officially a member of The Dollhouse.

Bobby Roode plans to prove to Jeff Jarrett, Dixie Carter and the wrestling world why he is the "It Factor of Professional Wrestling" by getting a shot at the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

Mr. Anderson says that actions speak louder than words...and that's what he has to say about the TNA King of the Mountain Championship. Meanwhile, Drew Galloway is on the phone backstage...

Bobby Roode beats James Storm, Lashley and Mr. Anderson to become #1 contender to the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.

The cover girl for the 2016 TNA Knockouts Championship is...all three. Brooke, Gail Kim and Velvet Sky will all be on the cover of the calendar.

Ethan Carter III says that Jeff and Matt Hardy accepting his challenge is the best decision they've ever made, and says that after Matt loses, he wants no qualms about it as he welcomes Jeff Hardy to Team EC3.

Dixie Carter shows up. She says that when someone sincerely offers their help, you listen and be a team player, and do not let stubbornness get in the way. She says that she was one of the few people who knew that the opportunity for Jeff Jarrett to help was there, and says she couldn't be any happier. She asks him to come to the ring, and he does. Jarrett says that the new chapter in their relationship was so out of the blue that it was the very last thing he was expecting, but he's glad it happened. He says that he's glad that Dixie accepted his help after what has happened since that phone call, as it is win-win for TNA, Global Force Wrestling and the wrestling fan. He says they've kept it going, but they've got to keep it growing. Dixie says that together, he and Jarrett are unstoppable, and that the show needs a leader. Before Dixie can make a decision on whether to make Jarrett that leader, Drew Galloway crashes the proceedings. He says that the TNA-GFW partnership has gotten everyone in the back fired, and respects Jeff Jarrett for what he's doing, but says that he found out something twenty minutes ago: security footage showing the license plates of the two getaway cars from the attacks, both sharing one name: Jeff Jarrett. Galloway knows that with him and Bully Ray out of the picture, Jarrett has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Jarrett vehemently defends himself, but Galloway threatens to drop him where he stands if he's lying about who it was. Suddenly, the perpetrator reveals themselves: Karen Jarrett, who says she did it for her family and for Global Force Wrestling, saying that Jeff deserves this. She says that Jeff started TNA, and that one little spark can cause a giant inferno. All of a sudden, Jeff Jarrett kicks Drew Galloway in the balls, and as his Global Force Wrestling storm the ring and attack Galloway, Jarrett tells Dixie that sometimes, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Rockstar Spud and the TNA locker room rush in to counter them, but it turns into an all-out brawl where the GFW roster comes out on top. The show ends with the GFW roster and the Jarretts celebrating the start of a hostile takeover of TNA.
