Final Impact - GFW Impact Wrestling recap for September 7, 2017

We see footage from earlier today where Eli Drake, Chris Adonis and Matt Sydal enter the building.

Petey Williams and Sonjay Dutt beat Caleb Konley and Trevor Lee.

The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) beat John Bolin and Zachary Wentz. oVe (Dave and Jake Crist) are seen watching from backstage as LAX dominates. After the match, oVe shows up. LAX may claim to be family, but they are brothers and a tag team this birth. They have heard talk that LAX is the best tag team on the scene...but that was before they showed up. They are the best in the world, and they plan to prove it by taking the tag titles. Konnan says he LAX are the ones who dictate the terms, and tells them to head to The Crash to show what they're made of. oVe is up for the challenge.

Taryn Terrell and Sienna beat Gail Kim and Allie after Sienna uses Allie's momentum against her to get on top of Allie for a pinfall after a top rope cross body. After the match, Taryn Terrell and Sienna attack Gail Kim and Sienna, then Rosemary runs in and fights them both only for the numbers game to catch up. Suddenly, the moment is broken by the debuting Taya Valkyrie (also known as just Taya in Lucha Underground), who steps in the ring and stares down Sienna before attacking Rosemary and hitting her with a Widow's Peak.

We hear from Eli Drake before his match for the GFW Global Championship tonight against Matt Sydal.

Jim Cornette shows up. He thanks everyone at home for tuning in, as is a great time for GFW with the international competition and new talent. After plugging the GFW Global Championship main event, he says that he sees Eli Drake cracking and Matt Sydal coming on strong. After he predicts that Matt Sydal will become the new GFW Global Champion, Johnny Impact shows up. He says Cornette is talking about who the man is. He says he is the man. He then challeneges the winner of Drake vs. Sydal. Johnny says he respects Sydal and would love to face him. He doesn't respect Drake, but also wants to face him, too. Whomever he faces, worlds will collide. Suddenly, The Latin American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz, Low Ki, Diamante) shows up. Konnan says Johnny's opinion on the title scene is as worthless as his AAA Megas Championship. He says Cornette overlooked LAX. Cornette tells LAX they are not being discriminated against, nor are they getting any favors. Low Ki and Johnny scream at each other. Low Ki tells Johnny this is GFW, not WWE or Lucha Underground. Johnny responds by fighting LAX himself. Amazingly, Johnny manages to hold his own, and security has to rush in and separate all of LAX from one man. Not surprisingly, some of the security guards get knocked out, and LAX has to hold back one of their own in Low Ki. Security guards try to hold Johnny Impact back, but he tries to get his hands on Low Ki one more time before LAX get out of there. Cornette tells LAX to get out or else they will all be suspended.

A red-in-the-face Cornette makes Johnny Impact vs. Low Ki to decide a new #1 contender for the GFW Global Championship official for next week. He hopes they beat each other to death.

At the behest of Joseph Park, Grado tells Laurel Van Ness the wedding is off. Van Ness snaps after Grado leaves.

We see a mini-video documentary of GFW at AAA's TripleMania XXV, where we see and hear about the experiences of the GFW talent and staff as they spend time in Mexico. The incident between Sexy Star and Rosemary is briefly discussed.

We learn more about Dezmond Xavier.

AAA's Pagano is coming soon to GFW.

It is announced that Eddie Edwards is the first American-born wrestler to win Pro Wrestling Noah's GHC Heavyweight Championship.

We learn more about Garza Jr.

"The Stand-by Wrestler" Richard Justice is still backstage, even if Kongo Kong has caused him to be in serious pain. He tells Mackenzie Mitchell "Never take yourself out of the game, because you might not be able to get back in."

We hear from Matt Sydal before his match against Eli Drake for the GFW Global Championship.

Eli Drake retains the GFW Global Championship against Matt Sydal. During the match, Chris Adonis places the GFW Global Championship on the apron, then places a steel chair inside the ring. This distracts the referee, allowing Drake to attempt to hit Sydal in the face with the Global title only to fall victim to a knee. After a near-fall, Sydal goes up top again, but when Chris Adonis gets on the apron, Sydal hits him instead of going for the top rope Shooting Star Press on Eli Drake as originally planned. This last-second deviation causes the ref to be pre-occupied on checking on Chris Adonis, and Eli Drake tries to use the Global title as a weapon behind the referee's back again, this time successfully.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 15, 2015

Dixie Carter is in the ring, which is surrounded by the TNA roster. She apologizes to the TNA fans and the TNA roster, and does not regret being put through a table by Bully Ray and getting a huge reality check out of it. She asks for the roster's trust in her vision of the future, which is easy to doubt as she has not always held to her promises. Before she can introduce a new leader for TNA, Ethan Carter III and Tyrus show up, asking Dixie who this "farce" is. Dixie then introduces "the man who will become the law": Bully Ray himself. Bully Ray talks about how he came back to TNA, starting with Dixie Carter's apology via telephone, which Bully Ray says was legit. He admits he's been angry with Dixie for the longest time, and says that if he comes back, he's doing it for the fans and the roster. He tells the roster to get up on the roster, as they are not beneath him. He then asks the fans if they want to see him take TNA back to the promised land, and they cheer. He then professionally shakes hands with Dixie Carter and accepts the General Manager position, declares that a fun wrestling show will occur tonight, and then tells Ethan Carter III that he's defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship tonight. His opponent? The winner of a 20-man battle royale...which happens next.

Drew Galloway wins a 20-man battle royal to determine Ethan Carter III's opponent for his TNA World title defense later tonight, last eliminating Eric Young.

Taryn Terrell tells Brooke that once she's done with her, there will be nobody left to take her on for the Knockouts title. But she'd better watch out for Gail Kim...

Brooke beats Taryn Terrell to win the TNA Knockouts Championship, ending the longest Knockouts Championship reign ever. This is all thanks to Gail Kim, who shows up when the lights go dark and come back on, takes down Jade and Marti Bell, and then disappears when the lights go dark again.

Kurt Angle talks to Bully Ray. Angle has an idea, and a certain person isn't going to like it...

Kurt Angle shows up. He admits Ethan Carter III has talent, but does not like how EC3 is keeping the world title. He's talked with Bully Ray, who said the rematch never happened. Angle now has another rematch with EC3 for the World title, but it will have to wait until after he has a tumor removed from his neck. Eric Young shows up and says he beat Angle, and that he wants Angle taken out for good. He makes fun of Angle and his neck tumor before attacking him, but Angle fights back and brawls with EY. EY takes Angle down, however, and when Chris Melendez tries to make the save, he ends up taking a piledriver outside of the ring.

We relive "The Cowboy" James Storm vs. Magnus at Slammiversary XIII.

"The Cowboy" James Storm plans to cut Magnus and Mickie James down. As for his tag team partner, it's someone who is very close to Mickie James.

Magnus introduces James back to the ring for the first time since Storm pushed her into the train tracks. As she sends a message to James Storm, Storm shows up along with Khoya. He says Mickie should thank him for not pushing her onto the train tracks any harder than he did, otherwise she would be in a wheelchair. He also says he tried to get her to join his Revolution just to prove to the world how easy it is to manipulate a woman. This gets Mickie James good and ticked off, and Mickie tells Storm to go find that one woman so that she and Magnus can tear them up.

Magnus thanks the fans for their support, then introduces his fiancee Mickie James into the ring. Mickie James says she's going home to be a mother, and thanks the fans for their support over the years. As he says that "the amount of unemployment and lazy millennials will go down" and that the United States will be united under Ethan Carter III, he says he will defend the title on the moon and on Mars. Mr. Anderson shows up, and says that he considers him so much of a pathological liar that he should run for president with Anthony Weiner as his running mate before criticizing him for having Tyrus do his dirty work. This starts a short brawl between Anderson and EC3, and EC3 quickly retreats when Anderson goes for the Mic Check.

Taryn Terrell makes her match against Awesome Kong a no-disqualification match.

Taryn Terrell retains the TNA Knockouts Championship in a no-disqualification match against Awesome Kong thanks to the surprising assistance from The Dollhouse (Jade and Marti Bell), who attack Kong with kendo sticks and help Taryn put Kong through a table. Low Ki sics Samoa Joe on him, and he tells Aries he'll have to go through Joe first.

Austin Aries beats Samoa Joe by disqualification after interference by Low Ki. After the match, Joe and Low Ki try to attack Austin Aries with his briefcase, but Austin Aries gets Low Ki to whack Joe with it by mistake and attacks Low Ki, getting his World title shot briefcase back. Since EC3 has been in a hair-cutting mood, Anderson has shown up with an electric razor of his own. EC3 sics Tyrus on him, but it's all a distraction so that Mandrews and Rockstar Spud can attack EC3 from behind. This starts a brawl, where Tyrus appears to be on top until he falls victim to a Mic Check from Anderson. Bram doesn't care what she has to say to him, and says he attacked Magnus to "wake him up," and blames Mickie James for "watering him down." James says the only reason Bram attacked her husband is because he knows he is only half the man Magnus is, and that Magnus would easily whip his ass. She then proceeds to call Bram a little bitch, and when Bram corners her, she slaps him. Officials have to keep Bram away from Mickie James.

Lashley tells Kurt Angle to put his money where his mouth is.

Lashley shows up, and Roode tells him he has no ill will against him, and respects him for fighting off the Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Low Ki). He then hits a piledriver on Dreamer, then attacks the timekeeper and throws a steel chair into the ring. Before he can use it, Bobby Roode rushes in to save Tommy Dreamer. Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for January 16, 2015

MVP shows up with Samoa Joe, Low Ki and Kenny King. MVP has us all fooled again, and he's back in the driver's seat. He's looked within "the family" for like-minded individuals, and has recuited Joe and Low Ki as a result, and has now created what he calls the Beat Down Clan. Eric Young, while not a member, has helped MVP out last week and MVP brings him out anyway. Eric Young says he attacked Bobby Roode because Roode never reciprocated the same kind of friendship Young gave him. He took the gold from Roode, and tonight, he plans to take everything else. MVP then brings out Lashley, but Lashley doesn't show up. When MVP re-introduces Lashley, Kurt Angle's music plays instead and Kurt Angle shows up. While Angle can't book matches anymore, he can make the whole Beat Down Clan tap. Samoa Joe gets out of the ring and gets in Angle's face only to be smacked in the face. When the rest of the Clan approaches Angle, security keeps them away from Angle. Angle then decides to fight Samoa Joe, right here, right now.

Samoa Joe beats Kurt Angle with the Rear Naked Choke after sending Angle into the ref and kicking him in the nuts. After the match, the Beat Down Clan (MVP, Kenny King, Joe, Low Ki) and Eric Young all beat up Angle, but they are forced to retreat when Bobby Roode rushes in with the steel chair.

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) to become #1 contenders for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

Next week on Impact Wrestling: Feast or Fired!

As MVP and Kenny King chat backstage, it becomes readily apparent that Eric Young is preoccupied with Bobby Roode.

Ethan Carter III and Tyrus take control of the camera station, and use it to harass Jeremy Borash, challenging him to a match against EC3 next week and giving him 30 minutes to make a decision on whether to accept it before they can do worse than shave his head.

Lashley has arrived...
