Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for August 27, 2014

Kurt Angle starts the show from the cheap seats. Tonight, there is a grudge match between Ethan Carter III and Rhino, as well as the first match in the Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards)/Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy)/Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) tag team series. He also promises to find a solution to the finish of last week's Six Sides of Steel match with Eric Young and Bobby Roode. All of a sudden, MVP, Lashley, and Kenny King show up. MVP bashes New York City as he puts Lashley on a pedestal and calls him "The King of New York City." Suddenly, Tommy Dreamer shows up. He and MVP have been friends for a long time and he has respect for him, but tells him to watch his mouth, saying he's better than this, as are Kenny King and Lashley. As Dreamer tells Lashley that he is better than what he's doing right now, Kenny King attacks Dreamer from behind and tosses him out of the ring, only for Dreamer to drag King back out and rush into the ring with a kendo stick in his hand. Kurt Angle makes a New York Street Fight between Lashley and Dreamer, which starts as soon as Lashley attacks Dreamer from behind.

Madison Rayne has news for Taryn Terrell...she's about to become #1 contender over her.

Havok is coming next week!

Eric Young and Bobby Roode are about to talk with Kurt Angle...

Apparently Gunner doesn't like Samuel Shaw playing dress-up with his military uniform...

Low Ki, Tigre Uno and Crazzy Steve beat Manik, DJ Z and Homicide.

Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode and Eric Young have worked something out concerning the Six Sides of Steel finish...

Rhino promises to bring hell to Ethan Carter III...

Bobby Roode is in the ring. He says that he and Eric Young will have a #1 Contender's match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship next week. Roode calls out EY, who shows up. Roode says they're going to battle for all the right reasons next week and that it would be an honor to be in the ring with him. EY shares the respect, saying Roode is the best in the business right now, but says that next week, he'll be better.

The Bro Mans (DJ Z, Robbie E, Jessie Godderz) have a Tinder battle so see who can get the most matches. They tie, but Robbie E has somehow matched with a bulldog, a parrot and...a TNA Knockout? This is probably the damnedest thing Jeremy Borash has ever seen in one of his backstage interviews.

Rhino beats Ethan Carter III by disqualification after numerous chair shots to the back by EC3, who finally snaps and smashes Rhino with a steel chair as the latter tries to grab Rockstar Spud by the suit collar.

"The Cowboy" James Storm introduces a "reborn" Sanada, now known as The Great Sanada and now wearing Japanese facepaint similar to The Great Muta's.

The Great Sanada beats Austin Aries after "The Cowboy" James Storm runs interference and Sanada hits Austin Aries with the Green Mist.

Sgt. Chris Melendez, U.S. Army, an amputee Purple Heart recipient and Iraq War veteran, is now officially a part of the TNA roster. After Kurt Angle welcomes him to TNA, Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) talk about how they got him started on his path to becoming a TNA wrestler.

Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) beat The Wolves (Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards) and The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) in the first match of the Tag Team Series. They get to name the stipulation for the next match.
