WWE Raw - Raw recap for August 18, 2014

Stephanie McMahon shows up, mocking Daniel Bryan's entrance. There is a new WWE Champion, and he will be presenting the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship. That man is Brock Lesnar. Stephanie wishes John Cena a speedy recovery, then mocks Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, and Brie Bella. Stephanie then thanks Triple H before talking trash about Daniel Bryan and bringing out Nikki Bella. Nikki says she's always been there for her sister Brie, but didn't become who she wanted her to be, implying that they've always competed against each other and got the short end of the stick. She then goes on to say that Brie has mistreated her for her entire life, and says she's glad to be free. Brie shows up and tries to reason with her, but Nikki slaps her in the face. Brie leaves crying.

Big Show and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry beat The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan).

Dolph Ziggler chats with Ric Flair when The Miz suddenly shows up, saying that the WWE Intercontinental Championship is coming back to him tonight.

Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins, who eventually has ice water poured on him. When he turns around, he meets Dean Ambrose, who tosses the bucket in his face before the two brawl. Several officials have to break it up.

Seth Rollins talks to Kane and Triple H. Not only does Rollins get another match against Dean Ambrose tonight, but the WWE Universe gets to vote on what kind of match it is.

Natalya beats Paige after the distraction by AJ Lee, who then wants to shake her hand. AJ Lee is in crazy mode again, and it shows as Paige runs away from her.

What will Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins be tonight? No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere or No Disqualification?

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon arrive to present the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt and award it to the new champ, Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman then tells the audience that John Cena is not here tonight before bragging about Lesnar's victory and saying John Cena has earned his respect and admiration, before saying that anyone that tangles with Lesnar will die.

The Miz beats Dolph Ziggler by count-out, and Ziggler retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Miz attacks Ziggler afterwards only to get Zig Zagged.

Renee Young interviews Jack Swagger. He refuses to give up against Rusev.

Cesaro beats Jack Swagger. After the match, Bo Dallas shows up and tells Jack Swagger he can reclaim the dignity and respect he lost from last night's Flag Match if he just Bolieves.

Renee Young interivews Chris Jericho. He has noticed that there is an emptiness inside Bray Wyatt, and now knows that Wyatt is dead inside, but knows that the Jerichoholics still have his back.

Ric Flair meets Randy Orton backstage, but Orton threatens to beat Flair up to show him why he used to be called "The Legend Killer."

Bray Wyatt talks about his SummerSlam victory. He may be soulless and dead inside, but he says Jericho will never comprehend what he is.

Goldust and Stardust beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso).

This Friday on SmackDown: Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton!

Lana and Rusev show up. As Lana brags about Rusev's Flag Match victory last night at SummerSlam, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and not only shuts Rusev and Lana up, but becomes the next person to step up in America's name against them after Rusev's victory made him sick to his stomach. Rusev attacks Henry, but Henry gets the upper hand.

Next week on Raw: John Cena addresses the WWE Universe!

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins is a Falls Count Anywhere match!

Seth Rollins beats Dean Ambrose in a Falls Count Anywhere match after Rollins hits the Curb Stomp on Ambrose into a stack of cinder blocks, knocking Ambrose out.
