Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for December 1, 2016

At the start of the show, Aron Rex says that he has established the Impact Grand Championship the last few months as the greatest championship in the world, and issues an open challenge for the title. Moose shows up to answer the challenge, and Aron Rex isn't too happy.

Moose beats Aron Rex by pinfall with 1:45 left in the first round to win the TNA Impact Grand Championship! Jeremy Borash interviews Moose after the match, and Moose says that while Aron Rex was a good champion, he had no chance. He dares the locker room to take the title from him, as he has one word for them: Moose. Borash then interviews Aron Rex, but Aron refuses an interview.

Jeff Hardy says he knows that Matt Hardy has prepared himself in his own way tonight, but he knows Matt will be here. He hasn't spoken to Matt, but he knows they'll be defending the tag team titles.

The DCC cut a promo. Jeff Hardy shows up, and tells them they will get their title shot tonight as he tells them exactly who they are tangling with, and tells them that they will be deleted. The DCC take off their masks, and demand where Matt is. Jeff Hardy fights them instead. The numbers game catches up to Jeff Hardy, but suddenly The DCC's intro plays again. The arena then goes dark and when the lights come back on, "Broken " Matt Hardy is in the ring. After The DCC is cleared out, Matt announces his memories are restored and that they will get their tag team title match and that "DCC" will mean "Deletion coming, cowards."

We hear from Mandrews, Braxton Sutter and DJ Z before their three-way match tonight. At the end of day, they are a team.

DJ Z retains the TNA X Division Championship against Mandrews and Braxton Sutter. After the match, all three men celebrate, but Mandrews attacks DJ Z, saying he's worked too hard for the X Division title only to not get it.

Laurel Van Ness says that Braxton Sutter is just being nice to him...and that she doesn't, because Allie works for Marie. She tells Allie she won't have a man like Braxton, and after tonight, she won't have a job, either.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett and Laurel Van Ness show up. Maria says it is the holiday season, and that she is a charitable person. She says she has given the fans a role model, but some people don't seem to appreciate that. She then calls out Allie, Allie says she is sorry for hitting Maria with the pumpkin pie last week, but Maria knows she was aiming for Laurel Van Ness. After confronting her for costing her the Knockouts title, Laurel tells Allie she had a date with Braxton Sutter, and whispers into Allie's ear. Maria then says that Allie is a loser who can't do anything right and that she can't even wrestle, and then calls Allie "a stupid bitch." Allie slaps Maria in the face, and Maria says that slap was a mistake. Laurel Van Ness then attacks Allie, then Laurel and Maria leave.

Rpsemary tells Jade that Decay makes history every time they make someone decay, and tonight, she will end Jade's career.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy, who is known as Brother Nero again) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against The DCC (Bram and Eddie Kingston).

Ethan Carter III talks to Eli Drake backstage. He tells Eli he proved himself and proved he belongs in the main event. He tells Eli that if he wants at the world title when he takes it again, to let him know. Of course, Eli can't speak for the rest of the year, but EC3 knows that.

WWe see the red marks that The Tribunal left on Al Snow and Mahabali Shera, and AL Snow tells The Tribunal that they owe him everything for him getting them in TNA. He then challenges them to a Strap match.

Ethan Carter III shows up. Once again, he stands as #1 contender for the TNA Eorld Heavyweight Championship, but he has words for Eddie Edwards, whom he calls out. EC3 tells Eddie he succeeded where he failed in beating Lashley, and now Eddie is World champion. The World title has changed people's perceptions of Eddie, but Eddie says he is still the same guy. EC3 says he failed to take the world title twice, and that he won't fail a third time. EC3 says there is a difference between winning a title and retaining it, and that he will do anyting to take a title, even stabbing a friend in the back. He says that retaining takes a different set of skills in retaining a title, and that a champion's mentality is "Kill 'em all...and let God sort 'em out."

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for November 3, 2016

Brandi Rhodes shows up to start tonight's show. She thanks the fans for reaching out and checking on Cody Rhodes, and says that Cody has been supportive of her coming to TNA. She could not be more proud of his performance last week...until Lashley happened. Brandi tells Lashley that Cody is a fighter and that he will find out what kind of man Cody is when he comes back. Before she can speak on her own future, Maria Kanellis-Bennett shows up with Sienna. Maria tells Brandi that if she has no one, she's nothing, and gives her a choice between going home and taking care of Cody or swimming alone against the sharks. Brandi takes her words as a threat, but Maria says she gives people opportunities...and also breaks them like she did Allie. She then gives Brandi an opportunity to join her "Lady Squad" so she can bring out Brandi's true potential so she isn't living off the coattails of Cody Rhodes. Brandi says she is her own woman, she upholds the Rhodes legacy, and that she doesn't need Maria's help for anything. Sienna gets in Brandi's face, and Brandi beats her up before confronting Maria. This allows Sienna to attack Brandi from behind before laying her out.

We take a brief look at the life of Eddie Edwards.

Aron Rex retains the TNA Impact Grand Championship against Jessie Godderz after blinding Jesse Godderz in both eyes and knocking him out. After the match, Aron Rex tells everyone to give it up Jesse Godderz in a hard-fought loss.

We get a look at Team Go For Broke (DJ Z, Mandrews, Braxton Sutter), and we see that all three men have each other's backs.

Team Go For Broke (DJ Z, Mandrews, Braxton beat the team of Rockstar Spud and Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) and the team of Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett and Marshe Rockett in a Team X Gold match after Decay are ejected from the match for not listening to the referee's instructions, leaving Spud high and dry.

We take a look back at Eddie Edwards' heel injury and Davey Richards' ACL injury, which led to Eddie transitioning to a tag team champion to a singles champion.

The Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) show up. They address The DCC's challenge for the tag team titles from last week, and Matt Hardy calls them out. The arena goes pitch plack, and when the arena turns blue, The DCC are here. The Hardys fight them, but they are easily overpowered. After the beatdown on the Hardys, The DCC are about to leave when Brother Nero tells them to get back in the ring and fight. A referee shows up, and this officially becomes a match for the tag team titles.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) vs. The DCC is thrown out when the fight goes backstage. The third DCC member pushes referee Earl Hebner to the mat and puts his foot on him, then slowly makes his way backstage where the other two members are brawling with the Hardys. The backstage brawl sees Brother Nero take a selfie with Grado when he and the DCC interrupt Mackenzie Mitchell's interview with Grado, and Brother Nero turning into Immortal-era Jeff Hardy with help from a bucket containing water from the Lake of Reincarnation, the brawl ends with Matt Hardy being kicked off a forklift (after unmasking a DCC member only to find out he's wearing another mask) and suffering from amnesia from hitting the back of his head when Brother Nero checks on him.

Ethan Carter III says he's going to the ring and calling out Eli Drake.

Ethan Carter III is in the ring. He wants to get back in the World title picture, but right now he's here because of someone running his mouth about him. That someone is Eli Drake, and he calls him out. Eli Drake shows up, and they refer back to their meeting last week. EC3 says he may have been given a name and an opportunity, but he has done nothing but earn everything else from there, and has worked his way up to the top of TNA. He tells Eli Drake he has a golden ticket to the World title, but he's too scared to use it. Eli Drake says he doesn't need what EC3 has earned, as he can just bypass him, but EC3 calls him a coward and gives him a chance to prove he deserves it by putting his Bound For Gold title shot on the line against him. Eli Drake says he would have to be a dummy to take that chance, but EC3 adds another caveat: if Eli Drake wins, Ethan Carter III will never challenge for the World title again, and Eli Drake can bypass him with just one match. Eli Drake then says he's cashing in his Bound For Gold title shotnext week, declining the challenge.

Jeremy Borash interviews Lashley backstage. Lashley says he attacked Cody Rhodes last week because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that Cody will never come back. Lashley says that Eddie Edwards has failed to get in his head, and that tonight's match will be a slaughter as he destroys Eddie Edwards' dreams.

We take a brief look at Eddie Edwards' recent solo success amidst the sudden passing of his mentor.

Eddie Edwards retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Lashley in "The Superfight" after Brian Hebner is knocked down and a replacement referee is attacked by Lashley after Eddie Edwards kicks out of a pinfall attempt. Brian Hebner is back up after this and calls for the World title in an attempt to end the match when Eddie hits Lashley with the Boston Knee Party and Hebner makes a fast count.

Before the next match, Maria Kanellis and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett declare that Bennett will be the next TNA World Heavyweight Champion, which explains the cheap shot he got last week. He also tells Drew Galloway that he will fail after he cashes in the Feast or Fired briefcase. Since Kurt Angle wants to duck out of a fight with him (in his words), he's picked Mandrews to be the next person to fight him. Bennett says he's impressed, but says it will take a miracle for Mandrews to beat him. Mandrews tells him to shut the hell up and smacks the mic into his face, starting the match.

"The Miracle" Michael Bennett beats Mandrews. He beats Mandrws up again after the match, but Drew Galloway shows up. When he rushes into the ring, however, Bennett retreats.
