We get a look at Team Go For Broke (DJ Z, Mandrews, Braxton Sutter), and we see that all three men have each other's backs.
Team Go For Broke (DJ Z, Mandrews, Braxton beat the team of Rockstar Spud and Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) and the team of Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett and Marshe Rockett in a Team X Gold match after Decay are ejected from the match for not listening to the referee's instructions, leaving Spud high and dry.
We take a look back at Eddie Edwards' heel injury and Davey Richards' ACL injury, which led to Eddie transitioning to a tag team champion to a singles champion.
The Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) show up. They address The DCC's challenge for the tag team titles from last week, and Matt Hardy calls them out. The arena goes pitch plack, and when the arena turns blue, The DCC are here. The Hardys fight them, but they are easily overpowered. After the beatdown on the Hardys, The DCC are about to leave when Brother Nero tells them to get back in the ring and fight. A referee shows up, and this officially becomes a match for the tag team titles.
The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) vs. The DCC is thrown out when the fight goes backstage. The third DCC member pushes referee Earl Hebner to the mat and puts his foot on him, then slowly makes his way backstage where the other two members are brawling with the Hardys. The backstage brawl sees Brother Nero take a selfie with Grado when he and the DCC interrupt Mackenzie Mitchell's interview with Grado, and Brother Nero turning into Immortal-era Jeff Hardy with help from a bucket containing water from the Lake of Reincarnation, the brawl ends with Matt Hardy being kicked off a forklift (after unmasking a DCC member only to find out he's wearing another mask) and suffering from amnesia from hitting the back of his head when Brother Nero checks on him.
Ethan Carter III says he's going to the ring and calling out Eli Drake.
Ethan Carter III is in the ring. He wants to get back in the World title picture, but right now he's here because of someone running his mouth about him. That someone is Eli Drake, and he calls him out. Eli Drake shows up, and they refer back to their meeting last week. EC3 says he may have been given a name and an opportunity, but he has done nothing but earn everything else from there, and has worked his way up to the top of TNA. He tells Eli Drake he has a golden ticket to the World title, but he's too scared to use it. Eli Drake says he doesn't need what EC3 has earned, as he can just bypass him, but EC3 calls him a coward and gives him a chance to prove he deserves it by putting his Bound For Gold title shot on the line against him. Eli Drake says he would have to be a dummy to take that chance, but EC3 adds another caveat: if Eli Drake wins, Ethan Carter III will never challenge for the World title again, and Eli Drake can bypass him with just one match. Eli Drake then says he's cashing in his Bound For Gold title shotnext week, declining the challenge.
Jeremy Borash interviews Lashley backstage. Lashley says he attacked Cody Rhodes last week because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that Cody will never come back. Lashley says that Eddie Edwards has failed to get in his head, and that tonight's match will be a slaughter as he destroys Eddie Edwards' dreams.
We take a brief look at Eddie Edwards' recent solo success amidst the sudden passing of his mentor.
