Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 17, 2026
The show begins with Pat McAfee and Randy Orton arriving to the arena in a red Dodge Ram. General Manager Nick Aldis hands McAfee a contract and says they will have a chat, and Orton lets McAfee and Aldis handle things. McAfee asks Aldis to park the truck as he signs the contract. Orton makes his way to the ring, and says he will be the first to admit that he does not need Pat McAfee. He does want him, however, as he is the only straight shooter in WWE and does not tell him what he wants to hear, and tells him what he needs to hear. McAfee told him that he had to do was be himself, as he got into a title match with Drew McIntyre, who he was easy to be himself with. When "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes took the WWE Championship back, he did not want to hurt Cody at first. When Cody gave him permission to be himself, he took exception to that. He says that in his and Cody's give-and-take relationship, he kept giving while Cody kept taking. Orton mentions that he did not benefit from having Cody's back in the last two years, saying Cody did nothing but take and even gifted his then-friend Kevin Owens a title match only for Kevin to turn on Cody. Orton says he tried to reason with Owens only to be piledriven, which nearly cost him his career. He says that McAfee has done more and given to him in more than half a lifetime while Cody has done nothing but take. He says helping Cody has hurt his legacy more than anything else, and at WrestleMania, he will fix his legacy and take his fifteenth world title home where it belongs.
Backstage, Randy Orton rejoins Pat McAfee and General Manager Nick Aldis and gets in the red Dodge Ram. McAfee says everything will change for the better at WrestleMania and that he has put in a good word for Aldis before he and Orton speed off.
The MFTs (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Talla Tonga, JC Mateo) beat The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis) in a eight-man tag team street fight after Solo Sikoa hits Uncle Howdy with a Samoan Spike as Tama Tonga is about to hit Howdy with Cutthroat.
Backstage, R-Truth and Damian Priest are talking about potential opponents. R-Truth wants to face The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Grayson Waller), but Priest says they are on Raw. R-Truth has to be reminded that Danhausen is cursing people, not Asuka. Also, when R-Truth says that Xavier Woods is so bad that he turned Sammy Sosa "lavender white white," Priest reminds him that he is really talking about Grayson Waller.
We see footage of The Miz renewing his vows with Maryse with Kit Wilson running the proceedings. All of a sudden, Danhausen suddenly shows up and ruins everything, and it leads to Danhausen cursing Maryse, who gets inadvertently shoved into a wedding cake by Miz when Miz gets his hands on Danhausen.
We learn more about Royce Keys, such as how his mother suffered a fatal overdose at the age of 61, which still pains Royce Keys and his family to this day. Royce feels that tapping into your emotions make you stronger, and knows that his mother is proud of him.
A police car is seen entering the arena. The driver gets out, and Jacob Fatu is helped out of the back. Jacob Fatu stands on the top of the car as he addresses Drew McIntyre, saying he still wants to double back about his life. He says he is not shamed or afraid of his past life and that he does not live that life anymore, and that McIntyre made a mistake in thinking that handcuffing him would embarrass him, as even the police know he is not the same guy. Jacob Fatu then says that this is where things get twisted, as they have an unsanctioned match and that no authority can keep him from beating up McIntyre or save McIntyre from him beating his ass. He says McIntyre tried to put him back in the jail cell where he changed his life when he already put the cell in his rear view mirror, and when he gets down beating McIntyre's ass, he will put him in the rear view mirror.
Backstage, Alexa Bliss looks back on 2025, and Charlotte Flair looks forward to winning tag team gold at WrestleMania. Alexa says that they need to win tonight.

Jade Cargill, "Michin" Mia Yim and B-Fab head to the ring. Rhea Ripley also shows up and heads to the ring before Jade can start speaking. Rhea says she would love nothing more than to lay Cargill out for all she has done, but she does not want Cargill to have an excuse not to walk into WrestleMania. Rhea also admits that she is usually not the most patient of people, and says Cargill is lucky she is not in the ring whupping her ass right now. She also says Cargill does not let her meet her face-to-face in the ring because she is scared. Rhea says she will embarrass Cargill at WrestleMania, but B-Fab says Rhea should be the one who is embarrassed because she keeps coming after Cargill and failing. Rhea says she has yet to come for Cargill because Cargill hides behind Michin and B-Fab, social media and anything she can to avoid coming face-to-face with her, and gives Cargill one last chance to say anything to her face alone. Cargill says she is not scared of "some cosplay kid with insecurities" and is everything Rhea wishes she could be as well as "a real bitch," and that Rhea only gets her way because of "a weak-ass locker room." She says she has been trying to scare Rhea, but since Rhea has not learned her lesson, she will put belt to ass at WrestleMania and make her quit. Rhea laughs at the idea of being like Cargill and says she has fought people like Cargill her entire life, and says her insecurities do not hold her back and make her who she is today. She says that if she wants to make it quick, it will not be in her favor, then goes on to call Jade "narcissistic" and a "fake-ass bitch."
Backstage, Solo Sikoa tells The MFTs (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, JC Mateo) that they won tonight, and tells Tama Tonga that they did it as a team. Tonga agrees, then Solo tells Talla Tonga to win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal trophy and bring it home. He tells the rest of The MFT's to get Talla ready while he speaks with General Manager Nick Aldis about getting back the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Tiffany Stratton beats Jordynne Grace to become #1 contender for the WWE Women's United States Championship. (The match was originally Tiffany Stratton vs. Giulia for the Women's United States title, but was changed hours before the show.)
Trick Williams heads to the ring. Trick says he is usually all smiles, games and jokes, but not tonight, as he has something to get off his chest. He addresses Sami Zayn's actions from last week, saying that he crossed a line. He addresses Sami Zayn hitting Lil Yachty with a Helluva Kick and that he does not know if Lil Yachty will come back, then says that they will not wait until WrestleMania and will take care of business right now before calling Sami Zayn out. Sami Zayn's music hits, then someone in a gingerbread man suit shows up and walks to the ring. Trick introduces everyone to "Sami Zayn, the gingerbread man" before stating that all of Sami Zayn's diehard fans are in Drury Lane. Trick then says that Sunday is all about him and his first WrestleMania where he gets his first United States Championship, and that he is going to whoop that trick. The real Sami Zayn shows up and says he is glad Trick Williams is taking his first WrestleMania so seriously, and that he wishes he was having as much fun as Trick, but he has not had a good time in a very long time. He says that he is not having a very good time even as champion, as are the fans, then says he does not care what he did wrong, as he does this everyday for the ride-or-die fans who have been with him since day one. Sami says there are plenty of ride-or-die fans at home and in Las Vegas, and they will be in his corner at WrestleMania and beyond, then gets annoyed with the person in the gingerbread man suit and tells them to stand in the corner. Sami then talks about his first impressions of Trick Williams before telling him that Trick has not showed him much since four months ago and has not showed him anything where it counts and when it matters. He says that when he looks at Trick, he does not see the future of the business; he sees "a little punk rookie" who is about to walk into his first WrestleMania with one of the best to ever do it and realize that he bit off more than he can chew because he walked in with no plan. Trick says he is the plan and that Sami has been losing himself and crashing out backstage, and while Sami is one of the most respected guys in the locker room, he threw it all away when he got in the game. Trick then says that he is the one who is going to get the job done, but Sami says that Trick is not in his head and that he is not impressed with the gingerbread man. Trick then says he is standing in the ring with two gingerbread men, and Sami Zayn goes for a cheap shot only for Trick to fight back. Sami clotheslines Trick out of the ring, then Sami sees the person in the gingerbread suit and hits him with a Helluva Kick that almost kicks the head off of the suit. Trick then gets back in the ring, hits Sami with the Trick Shot, and raises up the United States title.

Cody says he will not be talking about the last three years' worth of WrestleMania, then says tomorrow is all about two men wrestling for the biggest prize of them all in him and Randy Orton. He addresses Orton's claims that he does nothing but take, then says Orton has never taken responsibility in his life. He remembers the things that Randy Orton did in 2009 and how he wrestled for the WWE Championship and lost. As Cody continues to talk about Orton, CM Punk suddenly shows up. Cody asks Punk if he is going to kick him in the balls and turn on him after they hug, but Punk says some people deserve it and that Cody does not deserve it. CM Punk says he is here to stop Cody from mentioning a certain person's name, then mentions each others' suits as well as Teddy Long's wedding, then Punk mentions that he was chasing Cody for a time to become champion, but now they are both champions at WrestleMania. Punk says he is beyond the point of giving Cody advice after Cody has said and done things he has yet to accomplish, and that while Cody has learned from the best, Orton is not much of a teacher. Billie Starkz beats Lacey Lane to qualify for the Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor.
Yuka Sakazaki beats Viva Van to qualify for the Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor.
"Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty retains the ROH Pure Championship against Marshall Von Erich by submission with a triangle hold in the ropes after all of Von Erich's rope breaks are exhausted.
We hear from Josh "The Goods" Woods, who says that he has been gaining momentum in the Pure division and is one step closer to putting the Pure Championship above his medals on the wall. He then says that he is bored, not because he does not enjoy what he does, but because it is too easy. He issues an open challenge to any pure wrestler who thinks they can stand toe to toe with him, and when he wins the open challenge at Supercard of Honor, it will be a purified path to "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty and regaining the ROH Pure Championship.
Trish Adora beats Maya World to qualify for the Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor.
Persephone beats Isla Dawn to qualify for the Survival of the Fittest Match for the ROH Women's World Championship at Supercard of Honor after rolling back and pinning Isla Dawn's shoulders to the mat as she goes for another modified Dragon Sleeper.
Backstage, Caprice Coleman interviews "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne. Nick Wayne came into the Best of the Super Juniors in New Japan Pro Wrestling as the youngest participant in its history last year, but he did not come out its youngest winner. He aims to go in this year with the aspiration of winning the entire tournament. He calls out Kosei Fujita, saying that he has a target on his back and that he plans to take the title of youngest tournament winner away from him. On the subject of recovery from his injury, Sabian says that Nick Wayne is evolving and that there is a plan, which will be seen in the Best of the Super Juniors. On the subject of Nick Wayne's foot, Mother Wayne insists that Nick Wayne is in perfect condition and chides him for thinking otherwise.
"The Prodigy" Nick Wayne retains the ROH World Television Championship against Evil Uno. After the match, Ian Riccaboni interviews Nick Wayne in the ring. Nick Wayne mentions returning to the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of his plans for world domination, beating the other nine participants and becoming the tournament's youngest winner in addition to the World Television Champion. Nick Wayne then runs into AR Fox as AR Fox heads to the ring for the next match.

We hear from Nigel McGuinness, who says that Josh "The Goods" Woods has been running through the pure division and wants another shot at "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty. He says that Woods cannot face Moriarty without going through him, and if he cannot beat him, he cannot beat Moriarty. If Woods cannot beat him, then he wants a third shot at the Pure Championship, and if he cannot win it, then he will go quietly in the night. He then challenges Woods to a Pure Rules Match at Supercard of Honor.

We hear from Josh "The Goods" Woods, who says that he has been gaining momentum in the Pure division and is one step closer to putting the Pure Championship above his medals on the wall. He then says that he is bored, not because he does not enjoy what he does, but because it is too easy. He issues an open challenge to any pure wrestler who thinks they can stand toe to toe with him, and when he wins the open challenge at Supercard of Honor, it will be a purified path to "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty and regaining the ROH Pure Championship.

Backstage, Caprice Coleman interviews "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Kip Sabian and Mother Wayne. Nick Wayne came into the Best of the Super Juniors in New Japan Pro Wrestling as the youngest participant in its history last year, but he did not come out its youngest winner. He aims to go in this year with the aspiration of winning the entire tournament. He calls out Kosei Fujita, saying that he has a target on his back and that he plans to take the title of youngest tournament winner away from him. On the subject of recovery from his injury, Sabian says that Nick Wayne is evolving and that there is a plan, which will be seen in the Best of the Super Juniors. On the subject of Nick Wayne's foot, Mother Wayne insists that Nick Wayne is in perfect condition and chides him for thinking otherwise.

Eric Young beats Zachary Wentz and JDC to advance to the finals of the TNA International Championship Tournament.
Steve Maclin beats Eddie Edwards and "Inevitable" Ace Austin to advance to the finals of the TNA International Championship Tournament after Maclin catches Alisha Edwards' slap on the apron and Alisha inadvertently slaps Eddie in the face afterwards, allowing Maclin to hit Eddie with the KIA to win and advance.
Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Frankie Kazarian and Tessa Blanchard. Kazarian says he is approaching tonight's match like he does every other match, and that Joe Hendry is a wounded animal and calls his bravery "stupid" before stating that he will leave Sacrifice as TNA World Champion. Tessa says she has pinned Masha Slamovich twice and that Masha is overrated, and while Kazarian tears Hendry's rotator cuff in half, she will finish what she started. She says that Masha survives on hype while she survives on results, and that she will break Masha tonight before taking her title.

"Inevitable" Ace Austin shows up. He says that tonight is a very special night, but for one reason in particular, as someone behind the curtain has been through hell and back to see the fans tonight. He then introduces Chris Bey, who has not been seen since his devastating injury. Chris Bey speaks to the crowd, saying it is great to be back in TNA. He says that almost six months ago, he had an accident in the ring that changed the course of his entire life forever when he broke his neck and paralyzed himself. He calls it the most scary and embarrassing moment of his life, and admits he wanted to finish the match because he loves professional wrestling so much. Thankfully, TNA's quick response and the staff in Detroit, Michigan match allowed for a successful surgery, but he was given a very low chance of being able to walk again. Bey says he worked tirelessly to rehab himself, and thanks Ace Austin for his support and for always being their for him. Bey admits he thought he would never be on a TNA ramp again, but he beat the odds due to the support of the TNA locker room and the TNA fans and he is standing here right now. He concludes by saying that he, the fans and TNA are unbreakable, and that all of this is the greatest story ever told.

Leon Slater looks forward to making history as the youngest X Division Champion of all time at Unbreakable, but first, he has to beat Brian Myers after how Myers used a ring to knock him out for the win. Slater says that he is a different animal and that he will beat the razz out of Myers before becoming X Division Champion later tonight.
Backstage, Cody Deaner talks with Director of Authority Santino Marella regarding his contract. Santino says he will be working on it this week, but reminds him that he has not won in a while and that the Board of Directors is focused on that. When Cody mentions his near-win against Moose for the X Division Championship, Santino puts him in a match against KC Navarro, and if Deaner wins, he will qualify for Ultimate X at Rebellion.
Xia Brookside beats Jazmyn Nyx with an inside cradle. During the match, Fallon Henley distracts the referee only for Lei Ying Lee to confront Fallon. Jacy Jayne then distracts Brookside, but Rosemary shows up and spits green mist into Jacy's face. Jazmyn tries to take advantage, but Brookside gets the win with an inside cradle.
Before the next match, Cody Deaner proclaims that he is not just fighting for the fans, but his job, and says that his contract expires on May 1st. To keep his job, he must win tonight. He says that he has the fans on his side and that he can beat KC Navarro, then Navarro takes the microphone and tells Deaner that he has not won a match in over a year and that the fans really want to see him in Ultimate X. KC Navarro then offers $500 to Cody Deaner to leave, but Deaner leaves that choice up to the fans, who want Deaner to beat Navarro. Deaner then hits Navarro with several right hands, all worth $500 each.

He may not be 100%, but he will prove they are unbreakable . Masha says Tessa is trying to do more than break her; she is trying to take everything from her after spitting on the place that built her. She says Tessa has done everything to get under her skin and it worked, but she made the mistake of thinking making her angry makes her break. She says she does not want to beat Tessa; she wants to break her. Hendry says their grasp on their titles is unbreakable.

He says that "In TNA, we walk this way," then mocks Frankie Kazarian and "All Ego" Ethan Page while also referencing his friendship with Joe Hendry in his lone musical number. He then announces that at Rebellion, he will issue an open challenge to anyone from anywhere who wants to face him. He then thanks the fans.

Spring Break Thru - Collision recap for April 17, 2025
At the start of the show, Marina Shafir suddenly attacks someone on the ramp on the way to the ring. Claudio Castagnoli attacks a cameraman, breaks his camera, then choke slams him into the timekeeper's area as Jon Moxley shows up. Wheeler Yuta shows up and gets angry at the fans, and the crowd chants "Fuck you, Yuta!" at Yuta and "You tapped out!" at Moxley. Moxley tells everyone to enjoy things now, as it will be the last time that The Opps and Powerhouse Hobbs will be celebrate for a long time. He also admits that he does not even like looking at The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) and tells them to stay in their lane or else he will make it so that they are never seen or head from again. Moxley then says that there was one undisputed baddest man in wrestling since he stepped into the business, and while he has treated Samoa Joe with respect and reverence and given him his space, Joe started something that he has to finish, as he does not know any other way. Moxley says he will not run, hide or roll over and die, and that he will fight Joe to the death for the AEW World Championship right now, as he does not now any other way, for better or for worse, then makes the challenge known. He says he has known Joe long enough and that Joe knows what he is dealing with.
"The Jet" Kevin Knight beats Lance Archer.
In footage from after Dynamite, Samoa Joe says predators think they are the largest and most evil thing in the jungle and that nothing pursues them because they are pursuers. He then states that The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir) have learned that this was not the case, and that The Opps (Samoa Joe, Hook, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata) only need an opportunity and an excuse to commit violence. He says that The Opps are men like him, Shibata and now Powerhouse Hobbs, and the new Trios Champions, and that they are coming for so much more.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. Statlander says there are other women in the locker room who work as hard as Mercedes Moné and "Timeless" Toni Stor. Hayter agrees, and says she knows that the two of them are good and that they can go. Statlander says their match has been a long time coming, and that whoever wins needs to go all the way.
Tony Schiavone reads a letter from FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), who write that they wish they could take back what they did to Schaivone and that the punishment was not been severe enough. He says he would never have gone through the piledriver with Schiavone, and while he does not hold his words about his daughter against him, he felt it was justified to scare him a little. He then states that The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir) have learned that this was not the case, and that The Opps (Samoa Joe, Hook, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata) only need an opportunity and an excuse to commit violence. He says that The Opps are men like him, Shibata and now Powerhouse Hobbs, and the new Trios Champions, and that they are coming for so much more.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. Statlander says there are other women in the locker room who work as hard as Mercedes Moné and "Timeless" Toni Stor. Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 17, 2024
Jon Moxley heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Moxley says he has always had people tell him what he can or cannot do or accomplish, and that he has always told those people to kiss his ass and watch him as he climbs mountain after mountain, as being great is about what is inside. He mentions the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship that he carries on his shoulder, and says that the championship is steeped in history and illustrious to the extreme, and that he has chased it for five years of pain and heartache, wins and losses, blood and sweat. Five years ago, people considered him holding the title impossible, but they did not know what was inside of him, as it is what it is really about when one's back is against the wall and willing to dig deep and go far. Moxley says that this is what AEW is about, then addresses The Don Callis Family, which contains some very talented individuals who are in league with "a creep" he has no time for who is also feeding them lies. He also mentions the hit that they put out on "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, and if they are going to put a target on Danielson's back, they might as well put one on his. He says that if they want to be violent tough guys, they are welcome to find him, for he will be here all night. He considers doing some violent deeds to do to them, but he feels The Don Callis Family will learn nothing, so he has another idea. Moxley proposes challenging Powerhouse Hobbs in the main event of next week's show, and that Hobbs will find out just how out of his depth he is when he gets in the ring and he will drag him into the deepest water and learn the difference between them. He also says that he will learn that Don Callis is feeding him lies, and that he will find out that Jon Moxley is the greatest in the world.
We hear from Mercedes Moné. She talks about how somebody attacked her in the dark because they were afraid to face her in the light. She says that she picks herself back up plans to pay back whoever attacked her, who she thinks is either Julia Hart or someone who does not want to face her at Dynasty when she is healthy. Mercedes puts the women's division on notice, then says she will watch Julia's match carefully, and says there is a price to pay "when you mess with Mercedes' money."
Before the next match, it is revealed that Willow Nightingale has been attacked backstage. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Adam Copeland is attacked from behind by Brody King while Julia Hart watches from the stage.
The House of Black (Brody King and Julia Hart) beat Adam Copeland and Willow Nightingale. During the match, Willow makes it to the ring, but as Copeland and Willow have Brody King where they want him, Julia Hart knocks out Willow with a chain wrapped around her fist. This allows Julia Hart to beat Willow with Hartless and win the match. After the match, Mercedes Moné shows up with a metal folding chair and chases Julia out of the ring. Mercedes drops the chair when Copeland enters the ring, and she and Copeland shake hands.

Joe says he originally viewed Swerve Strickland as a worthy adversary, but now he views him as a nuisance, as he keeps standing up after he knocks him down, which makes him more of a prerequisite for a punching bag than a champion in his eyes. Joe admits he was worried his possessions were in the hands of someone who would never get them or needed to be disinfected, then says Swerve has always come up short and has been "a choke artist" when it comes to championship gold. He says that history will repeat itself when he puts Swerve down and retains the AEW World Championship at Dynasty, saying that Swerve will continue to be "a choke artist" and that he will be the one to choke him out.
We see a video package for The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in the finals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament, which is interrupted by The Elite (Matthew, Nicholas, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada). They promise to put the full video package up on social media before proclaiming that they will win tonight and be the first-time three time champions. Okada tells PAC that he will not make it to Dynasty and that he is a dead man.
The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada) beat Daniel Garcia, Penta el Zero Miedo and PAC in a trios match. During the match, Matthew Jackson grabs a microphone and screams at Daniel Garcia, asking why AEW hired Garcia. Garcia responds with a belly-to-back suplex before tagging in PAC. After the match, The Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) hit Garcia with the EVP-Trigger, then bring a ladder into the ring and place Garcia with it. PAC chases The Elite out of the ring by swinging a ring bell hammer at them.
NHRA Funny Car driver Austin Prock is seen in the crowd.
"Lionheart" Chris Jericho heads to the ring, where Taz is waiting. Jericho's entrance is soon followed by Hook's entrance. Jericho thanks Taz for making this possible, then says he pulled Hook out of the apron - and calls what happened to Katsuyori Shibata "collateral damage" - because Hook was not listening to him as much as he should, and that he is doing this for him. Jericho then says that he is "the learning tree" and that everyone who has listened to him have gotten to the next level and have become better performers and people, and that he wants this out of Hook as well. He says that he wants him and Hook to reach the highest of highs and reach the top of "Wizard Mountain," and asks Hook if he is willing to put his animosity aside and sit under the learning tree. Hook simply says "No," and tells Jericho that he does not need his help. Jericho tells Hook not to be stupid, and when Taz intervenes, Jericho tells him to stop, and says he is giving Hook proper guidance like Taz should have 30 years ago. Jericho says he just wants to remove the dead weight in Hook's life, and tells Hook that he is not as good as he thinks he is. Taz tells Jericho to calm down, but Jericho tells him to stop, and he eventually shoves him when Taz does it a third time. Hook soon confronts Jericho and shoves him into the corner, telling him that he has crossed a line and that he will show him how good he is anytime and anywhere before demanding he leave the ring. Jericho slowly leaves the ring.

He admits he has stumbled throughout his career, but proclaims he has always fallen forward to success. He says he has been thrown into a coffin, stapled, thrown into barbed wire and even bloodied in a contract signing, but he always gets back up, and says Joe can call him whatever he wants, because he will soon be calling him champion. When asked what makes him so confident he can beat Samoa Joe at Dynasty, Swerve stands up, throws off his jacket and declares that he will tell Joe what makes him so confident to his face tonight.
"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo beats Mariah May by countering a roll-up with one of her own. After the match, "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mariah May attack Deonna, then Thunder Rosa runs into the ring and knocks down Luther on the way in. Thunder Rosa fends off Toni and Mariah, but this leads to an argument and a shoving match between Thunder Rosa and Deonna. Mariah and Toni take advantage of the situation, and as Mariah and Deonna brawl, Thunder Rosa knocks Toni out and smears purple lipstick all over her face.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn). "Switchblade" Jay White says they have been having a blast during the last couple of months, and that they will fulfill their destiny at Dynasty and take the AEW World Trios Championship in a Winner Takes All Match against The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn).
Backstage, we hear from The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says that Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) have laid their real ambitions bare, and Anthony Bowens says that if they want a fight with their titles on the line, then they accept. Max Caster proposes a tag team match on Collision in the meantime, and proclaims that there is no doubt that they will on Saturday.
Orange Cassidy beats Shane Taylor. After the match, Lee Moriarty and Anthony Ogogo gang up on Orange, with Moriarty holding Orange down while Ogogo hits him with a left jab to the gut. As they hold Orange down for a beatdown, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal rush out only to be attacked with a chair by Trent Beretta, who then let Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor, Moriarty, Ogogo) attack Orange Cassidy.
We see a video package of the events leading up to Kyle O'Reilly vs. Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at Dynasty.

Moxley fends them off one by one before getting in a brawl with Hobbs, and he and Claudio soon stand tall in the ring.
Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana head to the ring. Strickland says that as of last week, when he knocked Joe out and left fear in his eyes as he held the World Championship over his head, Samoa Joe showed him everything he needed to see. He says Joe knows that he will beat him at Dynasty, then states that he and Nana are here so he can say that to Joe's face. Samoa Joe shows up with multiple members of security surrounding him, and Swerve jumps off the top rope and levels all of the security guards before staring Joe down at the bottom of the ramp. When Swerve tells Joe that he is taking his title, both men brawl, and Joe throws Swerve into the ring steps. Prince Nana checks on Swerve in the ring, and Joe backs him into a corner before he is booted in the face by Swerve, who then hits the House Call. Swerve goes up top, but Joe quickly gets up and trips Swerve down before telling him he is not that man. Joe then picks Swerve up and hits him with the Muscle Buster.

Thunder Rosa fends off Toni and Mariah, but this leads to an argument and a shoving match between Thunder Rosa and Deonna. Mariah and Toni take advantage of the situation, and as Mariah and Deonna brawl, Thunder Rosa knocks Toni out and smears purple lipstick all over her face.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn). "Switchblade" Jay White says they have been having a blast during the last couple of months, and that they will fulfill their destiny at Dynasty and take the AEW World Trios Championship in a Winner Takes All Match against The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn).
Backstage, we hear from The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says that Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) have laid their real ambitions bare, and Anthony Bowens says that if they want a fight with their titles on the line, then they accept. Max Caster proposes a tag team match on Collision in the meantime, and proclaims that there is no doubt that they will on Saturday.
Orange Cassidy beats Shane Taylor. After the match, Lee Moriarty and Anthony Ogogo gang up on Orange, with Moriarty holding Orange down while Ogogo hits him with a left jab to the gut. As they hold Orange down for a beatdown, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal rush out only to be attacked with a chair by Trent Beretta, who then let Shane Taylor Promotions (Taylor, Moriarty, Ogogo) attack Orange Cassidy.
We see a video package of the events leading up to Kyle O'Reilly vs. Roderick Strong for the AEW International Championship at Dynasty.
Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.
Will Ospreay beats Claudio Castagnoli. After the match, The Don Callis Family ("The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, Powerhouse Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher) shows up and attacks Claudio, then Jon Moxley shows up from out of the crowd to fight the Family. Moxley fends them off one by one before getting in a brawl with Hobbs, and he and Claudio soon stand tall in the ring.
Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana head to the ring. Strickland says that as of last week, when he knocked Joe out and left fear in his eyes as he held the World Championship over his head, Samoa Joe showed him everything he needed to see. He says Joe knows that he will beat him at Dynasty, then states that he and Nana are here so he can say that to Joe's face. Samoa Joe shows up with multiple members of security surrounding him, and Swerve jumps off the top rope and levels all of the security guards before staring Joe down at the bottom of the ramp. When Swerve tells Joe that he is taking his title, both men brawl, and Joe throws Swerve into the ring steps. Prince Nana checks on Swerve in the ring, and Joe backs him into a corner before he is booted in the face by Swerve, who then hits the House Call. Swerve goes up top, but Joe quickly gets up and trips Swerve down before telling him he is not that man. Joe then picks Swerve up and hits him with the Muscle Buster.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 17, 2023
The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa) heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Heyman introduces himself and calls it an honor to be the wise man for the entire Bloodline, and announces that something is about to unfold when The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) shows up. Damian Priest stands face-to-face with Solo Sikoa, and Heyman holds him back before shaking hands with Priest, then says it is a good day to be a bad guy and that nobody in the ring is getting to Heaven, then says that The Judgment Day are here because of Roman Reigns. When Jey Usos says nobody knew what is going on, then Heyman says Roman did not want anyone caught off guard and admits that Finn Balor is not happy about this due to his feelings about The Bloodline, which he will put aside for "short-term villainy." Heyman then asks Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa to swtich places, and Finn Balor switches places with Rhea Ripley, who stares down Solo. When Heyman asks if everything okay here, Rhea says "For now." Heyman says that Solo Sikoa will take care of Bad Bunny before he becomes a problem for The Judgment Day, while The Judgement Day takes on Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle in a six-man tag match as The Bloodline have two problems as well as "a Riddle to solve." He then says that Solo Sikoa will smash Rey Mysterio in the ring tonight, then apologizes to Dominik Mysterio for what he is about to see. Rey Mysterio then heads to the ring for the next match.
Solo Sikoa beats Rey Mysterio despite The Latino World Order (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro) coming out from behind the barricade to take out The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) when they show up. After the match, The Usos and Solo Sikoa attack the LWO, and del Toro and Escobar both receive the Samoan Spike. Solo then tosses Rey into the 1D.
In backstage footage from earlier today, Chad Gable and Maxxine Dupri fight over Otis when it comes to the WWE Draft in front of WWE official Adam Pearce. Pearce says he will take everything under advisement, then asks everyone to leave the room.
It is announced that Bad Bunny will be on Raw next week.
Bianca Belair beats Dakota Kai.
We hear from Bronson Reed, who says that he has a lot of problems as we see him lifting weights and punishing other men in a wrestling ring. He says that he is really a nice guy and that his mother called him "Mr. Nice Guy."
Backstage, Damian Priest tells the rest of The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) that he is okay with Bad Bunny being on the show next week as long as he has a different attitude. Dominik tells Priest he does not need to be friends with Bad Bunny just like he does not need his father, then Paul Heyman shows up as Dominik talks about Solo Sikoa tearing Rey Mysterio apart. Heyman then shows up and asks "Satisfied?" Finn Balor says "Eh," meaning "Yes." Heyman then tells The Judgment Day to do "Eh" to Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle so they are not in debt to Roman Reigns. Priest says that is between Roman Reigns and The Usos, and that The Judgment Day just take care of business. Rhea then says "Bye, Paul." Heyman then calls Roman about "Eh."
"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring dressed to fight. Cody calls Brock Lesnar out, but WWE official Adam Pearce shows up instead and tells him that while he appreciates what Cody is trying to do, he cannot allow that tonight as Cody is not medically cleared. Pearce then respectfully asks Cody to leave the ring. Cody says he shares that respect and leaves the ring, then suddenly grabs a chair from underneath the ring. Pearce then summons security to escort Cody out, and tells Cody to think about this. Suddenly, Brock Lesnar shows up, and Peace tells Cody that he will make a match between Brock and Cody official for Backlash if he backs off. As Brock eggs Cody on, Cody then hits a security officer with a chair, then levels the rest of them. More security shows up as Cody charges at Brock and holds Cody down at the ring apron. Brock leaves, but Cody fights the new wave of security anyway. After fighting off more security guards, Cody takes the microphone and says he spent all last week throwing out positive platitudes about Brock Lesnar, then says Lesnar is a coward, not a cowboy.
Backstage, Brock Lesnar is seen leaving the building.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats The Miz.
Backstage, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle talk strategy. Sami says that Riddle has some ideas, but Owens tells Riddle to leave the thinking to him and Sami. Sami asks Owens to hear Riddle out , then Riddle proposes the "Toe-Bro," which allows him to knock Solo out when Solo goes for the Samoan Spike. As Owens gets Riddle then reminds Sami and Owens that he is serious about this and is not "some idiot," that The Bloodline tried to take everything from him and that Sami and Owens inspired him as he watched from home, and that he is going to kick some ass at Backlash and he is going to kick some ass tonight.
Bobby Lashley vs. Austin Theory ends with Bronson Reed running into the ring and squashing both men int he corner. After the match, Bronson hits Lashley with a shoulder tackle from the apron, then crushes him against the ring post. Bronson Reed lifts Lashley up back in the ring, but as Hashley goes for the Hurt Lock on Bronson, Theory gets in the ring and kicks Lashley in the back of the head with an enzuigiri. Bronson then hits Lashley with a Samoan Drop followed by a Tsunami.
Trish Stratus heads to the ring. Trish says that when she first came to WWE, women's wrestling was a joke, and she single-handledly changed everything and brought credibility to a division that did not exist. She also says "there was no 'we,' it was me" on the subject on Lita. She says that she was the one person who made people care about women's wrestling in WWE and that there would be nothing for women without her, then says that the fans should have been chanting "Thank you, Trish" at WrestleMania. Trish says Becky wants people to believe that she, Bayley, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks started the "Women's Revolution," but it all started with her, and she has asked herself if Becky believed her own hype. She then decided to hang around Becky Lynch for a while, and noticed that not once did Becky thank her for making her career possible, and says that Lita was eating out of Becky's hand as her sidekick when she was calling her out a year earlier. Trish says that she is "nobody's sidekick" and says it was getting sad and embarrassing to the point that she had to take Lita out backstage to make it crystal clear that she screwed Becky out of the titles. She then asks Becky if she remembers putting her arm around her last week, then tells her that they are not friends before bragging about how she took Becky out in an instant, as she refused to let anyone rewrite history. Trish says she is not a nostalgia act, someone's childhood fantasy or a sidekick, but the single most important figure in WWE and the greatest of all time, and that she will make sure that nobody forgets it.

Cody says he is satisfied with wrestling Brock Lesnar at Backlash, but he is also confused at tonight's events due to not being a champion and being held back by twenty security guards and not Lesnar. He says he has backed Lesnar into a corner and the only way for him to get out is to win, which he cannot allow.

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green beat Candice LeRae and "Michin" Mia Yim after Chelsea gets the tag after Sonya gets caught by the referee using the ropes for leverage. During the match, Nikki Cross is seen watching Candice LeRae from the front row. After the match, Chelsea throws water at Liv Morgan's face, and the referee has to keep both teams away from each other.
Backstage, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), Elias and rick Boogs talk about the upcoming WWE Draft, and Baron Corbin shows up to remind them that tag teams can be split up. The Street Profits leave to meet with Adam Pearce as Elias tells Boogs he will be first in the Draft and that heput in a good word, then Akira Tozawa shows up and says that Boogs is a star while Elias will be the last pick. Corbin shows up to laugh with Tozawa, but Tozawa tells Corbin that nobody wants him because he sucks.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor 500th Episode Celebration recap for April 17, 2021
We hear from Jay Lethal, who talks about the fan vote that has led to him facing Jonathan Gresham for tonight's episode. Lethal says he has been in the ring with Gresham in the past, and every time he has faced him, he learns a little more about himself, is tested in the ring, and is a little better than when he entered. He also says that Gresham almost broke his arm and is unmatched about what he does. He says that when the ROH Pure Championship returned, he knew he was one of the best wrestlers in the world and that he had to bring everything he had against Gresham. Lethal says he loves Gresham to death, and at the end of the match, he can promise that the ROH Pure Championship will remain in The Foundation (Lethal, Gresham, "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams, Rhett Titus) We then hear from Jonathan Gresham, who says that there is not much else about Jay Lethal that has not been said, and says that the ROH Pure Championship was once the best in the world and brought a certain responsibilty to whoever held it. He says that Lethal is one of the few people to transcend the ROH World Championship and is one of the best wrestlers in the world, and that he is proud to call Lethal his friend as they fight side-by-side to restore honor to ROH. He says that he will give the fans what they want one more time with the ROH Pure Championship on the line, and that they will show the world what pure, true professional wrestling is.
Jonathan Gresham retains the ROH Pure Championship against Jay Lethal via pinfall in 16:38.
We look back on The World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin) beating The Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero) winning the ROH World Tag Team Championships on the first-ever episode of ROH TV on Sinclair Broadcasting from September 2011.
Mark Briscoe beats Jay Lethal by count-out. During the match, Mark Briscoe uses a chair for an attempted dive to the outside, but Jay Briscoe gets back into the ring and puts Mark through it with a Death Valley Driver. Later on in the match, Mark puts Jay through a table with a Froggy 'Bow. After this, both men try to get back in the ring in time, but only Mark is able to do so.

The Memphis Heritage Championship is introduced for the first time, and it is announced that the first champion will be decided in an over-the-top battle royal knwon as the Grind City Rumble.
Backstage, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels says he wants "The Memphis Mauler" Alan Steel and Johnny Dotson any way he wants them, even if it means having them in a two-on-one handicap match. King Cobra shows up and tells him eh is undertaking a big task, but Michaels proposes that King Cobra watch his back. King Cobra says he will be glad to watch his back.
Cece Chanel beats Amber Rodriguez by submission after countering a submission by Rodriguez into a leg lock of her own.

Backstage, Eric McMahon is on the phone, saying that nobody wants him to manage them and that he needs the Memphis Heritage Championship. Suddenly, Super Ed shows up, much to Eric's displeasure.
Action Jackson beats "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt after using Rembrandt's own momentum against him after a top rope cross body, pinning Rembrandt. Rembrandt raises Jackson's hand after the match.
"The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony beats Jonny Lyons after Anthony shoves the referee into the ropes to trip Lyon off the top turnbuckle. During the match, "Big Swole" Justin Cole - who is currently not medical cleared due to not passing concussion protocol - is kept away from the ring by referees during the match.
"The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black vs. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane ends in a no-contest after Derrick King and Austin Lane keep getting involved. This leads to a short brawl where Nikki and Austin Lane stand tall in the ring.
The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). During the match, Big Ace and Big Jack show up. When Zay Washington inadvertently kicks the referee in the face and The Skimahorns hit The Yung GOATs with cheap shots, Big Ace and Big Jack attack The Skimahorns. During the match, King Cobra shows up to stand in Michaels' corner, and when Dotson tries to get in the ring with Michael's baseball bat, King Cobra takes it from him. This distracts Dotson and allows Michaels to hit the GunShow Lariat for the win.

Action Jackson beats "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt after using Rembrandt's own momentum against him after a top rope cross body, pinning Rembrandt. Rembrandt raises Jackson's hand after the match.
"The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony beats Jonny Lyons after Anthony shoves the referee into the ropes to trip Lyon off the top turnbuckle. During the match, "Big Swole" Justin Cole - who is currently not medical cleared due to not passing concussion protocol - is kept away from the ring by referees during the match.
"The Queen of the Gulf Coast" Katelynn Black vs. "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane ends in a no-contest after Derrick King and Austin Lane keep getting involved. This leads to a short brawl where Nikki and Austin Lane stand tall in the ring.
The Yung GOATs (Aaron Roberts and Zay Washington) beat The Skimahorns (Brad and Briar Skimahorn). During the match, Big Ace and Big Jack show up. Jack Banning vs. Jordan Clearwater is a no-contest when neither man refuses to listen to the referee. Both men then take their brawl to the back.
In a backstage broadcast exclusive, "Numero Uno" Mike Camden says it was about getting the tag team titles when he came in, but if The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) want to see him as a threat, he has friends, too, and they are going to show up.
Dan Joseph vs. Ray Rosas for the Arizona State Championship (which is physically non-existant due to Dan Joseph setting it on fire) ends in a double count-out. Ray Rosas retains the Arizona State Championship. Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 17, 2020
It's time for A Moment of Bliss with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to start tonight's show. Tonight's guest is Braun Strowman. Strowman says nobody knows Bray Wyatt like he does, and while he was part of Wyatt's family, he is trying to forget that past and says that Bray did not make him, saying he achieved everything on his own. He says that Bray is a manipulator, but he does not play those mind games, and if Bray comes after him and not the title, he will get these hands. Suddenly, he spots a package in the corner of the ring. Alexa denies that the gift is from her, and when Strowman opens the box, he finds the black sheep mask from when he was a part of The Wyatt Family. Bray's laughter is then heard in the WWE Performance Center. We then see a photo of Braun Strowman in the black sheep mask briefly before the show cuts to a commercial.
Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman for the WWE Universal Championship is official for Money In The Bank.
Bayley guests on commentary for the next match.

Backstage, Carmella talks with Dana Brooke. Dana Brooke says she can win a Money In The Bank Ladder Match and the tag team titles, and says that she's got the match with Naomi in the bag.

Sonya Deville shows up. She says she has been trying to get a hold of Mandy Rose for two weeks, and says a public explanation is the only thing she can do. Mandy does not show up, and Sonya says that she has never had anybody like Mandy in her life before and that they have been together ever since they met. It is then that Mandy finally shows up. Mandy says she has nothing to say to Sonya after what she did to her and Otis, but Sonya says she has spent more time with her in the last five years than with her own family, then says that Mandy is the most selfish human being she has ever met in her entire life. She says that the first moment Mandy was interested in someone like Otis, she was going to kick her to the curb and that Fire and Desire was never about them. She says that if Mandy went along with her plan, they would not be here right now. Sonya also says that Dolph Ziggler cared about Mandy, and that Otis is nothing compared to him. She says that Ziggler tried to help them as a team, but Mandy ruined it, and all she wants to do now is to see her hurt. Sonya says that Mandy may be pretty, but she is just a "dime-a-dozen bottled blonde" made in a lab with no talent while she toiled for five years to get to where she is. She also says that she knows Mandy well and will do everything she can do to ruin her life and prove who the real champion is: her, not Mandy. Mandy and Sonya are about to throw down when Ziggler shows up. Ziggler admits he made a huge mistake, but says Mandy cannot deny what they have and that he will make it up to her however he can. When Ziggler asks Mandy to look him in the eye and say she feels nothing for him, Mandy resists, and Sonya hits Mandy. Ziggler is surprised by this, and Otis shows up. This starts a brawl between Otis and Ziggler, and Sonya gets on top of Otis to rake his eyes only for Mandy to yank Sonya off of Otis. Ziggler gets back in the ring, but Otis lays him out and hits him with the Caterpillar.
WWE acknowledges the passing of Hall of Fame ring announcer Howard Finkel at the age of 69. A video package of Howard Finkel is played in tribute.
Backstage, The Miz calls his match with Big E and Jey Uso "the biggest travesty of justice in WWE history" as they ahve to prove he and John Morrison are the best tag team in the 21st century.
We see a vignette for The Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake).
Daniel Bryan beats Cesaro to qualify for the men's Money In The Bank Ladder Match after Drew Gulak stops Shinsuke Nakamura from getting involved in the match. At the beginning of the match, the hooded man near the computers shows up saying "We've heard all the lies...but when will we hear the truth?" The man then says some keep their friends close, and others keep their enemies closer.
Backstage, Big E says he is one man going for a title meant for two, but he is not alone, and tonight, he, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will become eight-time tag team champions.
Backstage, Elias is attacked by King Corbin, who tries to injure Elias' left hand before taking his guitar and dragging him away. After the commercial break, King Corbin continues to attack Elias backstage, then hits him with his scepter. When Elias tries to get back up, Corbin hits him in the back with his guitar.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for April 17, 2019
Velveteen Dream retains the NXT North American Championship against Buddy Murphy.
We hear from Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who host a special edition of Street Talk where they say that they will create their own opportunities after talking to General Manager William Regal. Instead of getting William Regal, they get War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe), who tell them that they will get their match next week.
Johnny Gargano shows up. Gargano exclaims that this has been a long time coming, and four years after being told no during an NXT try-out, he finally stands as "Johnny Champion." He calls NXT TakeOver: New York the toughest task of his career, then he is suddenly interrupted by a very angry Adam Cole, who tells Gargano he got lucky and that he had Gargano beaten in the middle of the ring. Cole says that if it had been any other match, he would have been NXT Champion, and tells Gargano that he is an idiot for thinking he can have a celebration. After a couple of boy band jokes, he reminds Adam Cole that their match was two-out-of-three falls, and tells him that if he wants to grow a pair, he'll be happy to put a few more points on the scoreboard. Cole tells Gargano to be careful what he wishes for, and Gargano is suddenly blindsided in the ring by Roderick Strong before The Undisputed Era (Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Strong) holds Gargano down so Cole can hit Gargano with a superkick.
KUSHIDA debuts in two weeks.

After the match, Dijakovic says he is only in NXT because his family gave him that opportunity, as they took the opportunity to come to the United States and the spirit is coarsing through his veins to drive him to opportunity. He states that he sees the North American Championship, and tells Velveteen Dream to feast his eyes.
Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Adam Cole, who says that tonight showed the difference between himself and Gargano. He says that Gargano gets caught in the moment while he does not, then General Manager William Regal shows up. Regal states that Gargano wants to face The Undisputed Era, starting with Roderick Strong, and says that Gargano vs. Strong is official for next week.
We hear from Aliyah and Vanessa Borne. They say that Candice LeRae got lucky last week and that they weren't ready then, but they are ready now. They then challenge her to a tag team match.
"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler retains the NXT Women's Championship against Kairi Sane by disqualification after Io Shirai stops Baszler from completely shattering Kairi's left elbow. As per pre-match stipulation, this match is Kairi's last opportunity at the NXT Women's Championship. After the match, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir hold Io Shirai down while Baszler stomps on Kairi's bent elbow.
