Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 17, 2025

John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Compared to the last twenty years, Cena is in far less of a jovial mood on his way to the ring and is a lot more stoic and emotionless. After seemingly endless chants of "Let's Go Cena, Cena Sucks," and "You sold out," Cena goes between cutting a promo and leaving the ring before ultimately doing the former. Cena then says that whenever one is properly grounded in life, they should not have to look outside themselves for approval. He then says the fans are making this so easy for him as they continue to boo him, as for 25 years, he has been the victim of an abusive relationship. He tells the fans that they have lost their time to talk as they boo him again, and when they take the floor, all they do is be hurtful and abusive and bully him into being their puppet and doing it with a smile on their face. He then says "No more!" before the fans chant "Fuck you, Cena!" Cena sarcastically thanks the fans for their class before declaring he is neither face nor heel, but a human being, and that the fans have been awful to him. He says it has been "the same damn noise" for 25 years and that when he showed up, the fans made it known that they hated him and unworthy of their attention, and while he changed himself hoping the fans would like him, it was not enough after it stopped working, and all he could do was "win and win and win," and the fans hated that. He spent the next ten years of his life trying to give away everything he could, and it still was not enough. Cena says that in his final moments, he could have walked away, so he announced his retirement at the end of 2025 in a move that had never been done before, and when he tried to get along with the fans one last time, they ruined it like they did everyting else, because like every other time, it was never enough. The fans then sing Na Na Hey Hey (The Goodbye Song), making it clear that they want hi to go away, and Cena then says "Each one of these idiots are proving my point with every breath" before stating that it is never enough and that the fans should be ashamed of themselves, as all they ever do is take and only care about themselves. Cena says he put his values on the line to make a very important choice in his life, but the fans only cared about what they got out of him. He says the fans never asked him about how he felt, and it was just "What do we get?" He tells the fans they get nothing except what they have earned, and what they have earned is nothing. He tells the fans they do not get a new look because they dress like him, as he does not dress like the fans, and that they do not get new music because it is his vocals on the song while their time is up and his time is now. He says all the fans get is a long look in the mirror to see how awful they have been to him for the last 25 years. When the fans that they want "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, Cena says the fans want "their shiny new toy" in Cody because they are putting him out to pasture, and that they have proven once again with every breath that they are awful people. He states that nobody is safe and no one can hide, especially the ones that he can pick out in the crowd and identify very easily as the "Let's Go Cena" fans who support him, then says that the "Cena Sucks jackoffs" have proven themselves to be awful, as have the "Let's Go Cena people." He says the fans claim to support him, but asks the fans what they have ever done except steal his personal moments, steal his time, and make him into a toy and "a stupid invisible joke for the last 15 years" that they still think is funny when it is really pathetic. Cena then calls the fans "pathetic," and states that they are not ready to be part of an uncomfortable conversation before he proclaims that the fans wear his merchandise to feel good rather than for support him, and that they wear words like "Hustle, Loyalty and Respect" and "Never Gives Up" while he lives them everyday as the dictionary definition of "perserverance." He then says that the fans do not support him; instead, they use him as an excuse for a pathetic failure of their lives, as all they have done for the last 25 years is sit on their asses and watch him be great. He says "no more," and says that the relationship with the fans is toxic and dysfunctional. Cena then declares that he is breaking up with the fans, and that he is done, whether the fans like it or not, as he does not need them, he does not care about them, and they do not matter to him. Cena states there is nothing they can say or do because they know he is right and they are wrong. Suddenly, Cody shows up, gets in the ring and receives the "Cody Rhodes" chant to the tune of Daddy Cool, then says everyone, including himself, was willing to hear Cena out. He says the fans may have given Cena their worst, but they also gave their best, and they did it because Cena was special, because he could take it, and because he could carry it. Cena says "Look, kid..." but Cody makes it clear he will not that, and demands he be addressed as the WWE Champion. Cody then asks Cena "Who the hell are you?" and wants to know where the Cena everyone knows is, as he was excited at the prospect of going week-to-week and face-to-face with Cena only to get what he is looking at now, and tells Cena that if this is what he gets at WrestleMania, he will run it over and retire it early. He then tells Cena to find himself as this is what he wants to face and not "this whiny bitch." Cody then leaves, and Cena follows suit after Cody is in the back. As Cena leaves, the fans sing Na Na Hey Hey (The Goodbye Song) again and wave goodbye at him.

We look back on Ricky Steamboat vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 3.

Before the next match, Ludwig Kaiser states that he stands in an historical moment as well get rid of Penta for good in a no-holds barred match. He says Penta claims to have no fear, but after he absolutely destroys him, nobody will remember Penta's name while he becomes the fastest-rising star in WWE as Penta learns what fear means.

Penta beats Ludwig Kaiser in a no-holds barred match. After the match, Cathy Kelley interviews Penta in the entryway. When asked what is next for him, Penta thanks the fans in Brussels, Belgium for their support before stating that he wants the Intercontinental Championship and that he does not care what he has to do to get it.

Backstage, Finn Balor meets up with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, who wish him luck in his Intercontinental Championship match tonight. Finn does likewise for their upcoming matches, and says Jade Cargill will be another stop on the Liv Morgan revenge tour. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio shows up, and Finn thanks Dominik for getting him the match tonight. Dominik says he has been talking to some people and that he has an idea, and that ever since they lost JD McDonagh, they also lost some muscle, and entertains the idea of adding Penta to The Judgment Day. Finn takes this as an act of betrayal and calls Dominik a snake. Dominik says he had no idea Penta would declare for the Intercontinental Championship after Finn leaves, and Carlito responds with "You don't watch the show, do ya?"

Dakota Kai beats Ivy Nile. During the match, Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio show up and attack The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) before chasing Chad Gable through the crowd. The distraction allows Dakota Kai to get the win on a distracted Ivy Nile with the GTK.

General Manager Adam Pearce moderates a contract signing between Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky for the World Women's Championship at WrestleMania 41. Iyo Sky says Bianca will not disrespect her again, as will nobody else, as she is Women's World Champion, and after WrestleMania, she will still be champion. She then signs the contract. Bianca says she has all the respect for Iyo, but last week, she gave her a pass as what happened was her fault. She says that she will not let Iyo put her hands on her again and that she will find out exactly who she is at WrestleMania when she becomes champion, then signs the contract. As Pearce thanks Iyo and Bianca for being professional during the contract signing, Rhea Ripley arrives, and Pearce demands referees head to the ring. Ripley makes it known she will not take the recent disrespect and states Bianca has no business being in her championship match, then says she will take a page out of Bianca's playbook and watch. This leads to Rhea and Bianca arguing, and when Iyo gets in the middle, Bianca shoves Iyo again only for Rhea to headbutt Bianca and powerbomb Iyo into Bianca onto the table. Rhea then eyes the contract, grabs the pen inside and signs it before walking off with the contract and forcing Pearce to chase her to the back.

Backstage, "Main Event" Jey Uso says he has not been himself and has been doubting himself, so he flew halfway across the world to whup somebody's ass: Austin Theory. He then says it is him and Gunther at WrestleMania when he shocks the world and becomes World Heavyweight Championship. Gunther suddenly gets in Jey Uso's face, and General Manager Adam Pearce and security gets between them. Gunther then says he talked to Jimmy Uso on Friday and says that Jimmy is as dumb as Jey. Gunther is shoved away while Jey tells Gunther he will see him at WrestleMania before heading to the ring.

"Main Event" Jey Uso quickly beats Austin Theory. (The match is quickly savaged by the fans, due to the match taking only 29 seconds because of time constraints as well as being rushed to the point that Jey Uso's tope suicida did not get enough distance and his Spear being confused for a cross body on English commentary.) After the match, Grayson Waller gets in the ring only to get superkicked in the face before taking both him and Theory out with a dive. Suddenly, Gunther shows up and puts Jey in a sleeper, but Jey rams Gunther's head int the top turnbuckle before brawling with him, ripping the World Heavyweight Championship from his waist and tricking Gunther into tumbling out of the ring. He then tosses the World Heavyweight title back to Gunther.

Rhea demands she be put in the title match, then she is attacked by Bianca Belair. Iyo Sky jumps in and attacks Rhea, then Iyo and Bianca fight over who gets a piece of Rhea. Iyo punches Bianca, then Rhea attacks them both. Adam Pearce returns and breaks up the brawl.

The Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee) beat American Made (Julius and Brutus Creed). After the match, The Latino World Order is attacked by someone in an "American Made" luchador mask before he is chased away by security again. Once again, it is strongly believed to be Chad Gable.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. He is not mad that Roman Reigns came back for revenge, because he would have done the same thing, then says that the real problem is that after all these years, Roman still cannot come up with a plan and needs an architect to do it for him. He also states that Roman forgot about one detail: CM Punk, who he calls "the luckiest loser on the face of the planet." Rollins says that if he had just a few more seconds in the Elimination Chamber, he would have hit Punk with The Stomp and not only end his championship dreams, but put his career on ice and ended "the CM Punk problem" once and for all. He then says it is just like the good old days again and that he has to clean up Roman Reigns' mess, and he will put Roman in his place along the way. Rollins then mentions that both Roman and Punk will be in the same place at the same time on SmackDown, and while he wishes they were he, he will not let them have all the fun. He entertains showing up at SmackDown and putting himself between both men, then thanks the fans in Brussels, Belgium for their support before letting them sing his theme song one more time before he heads to SmackDown in Italy.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. Styles takes in the fans' chants for him, then says Logan Paul does not belong on the wwe roster. Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up, and Kross thinks that Styles is not mad at Logan Paul, but at himself, as it took seventeen years to get to WWE and find validation, and wants him to find respect for Logan Paul for doing everything Styles has done in record time. Styles says he knows what Kross is doing and that it will not work, then walks away. Kross whispers to Scarlett "I think it's working."

Bron Breakker and Penta have a brief staredown backstage as Breakker heads to the ring for the main event.

Bron Breakker retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Finn Balor. During the match, Carlito and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio show up initially to distract Breakker, but Carlito distracts the referee so that Dominik can shove Breakker off the top rope near the end of the match. This inadvertently causes Finn Balor to lose balance and land crotch-first on the top turnbuckle, and Breakker makes both Dominik and Carlito pay before hitting Finn with the Frankensteiner followed by the Spear to win and retain. After the match, Carlito and Dominik attack Breakker, but as Dominik grabs the Intercontinental Championship to use it as a weapon, Penta runs into the ring and fights both Dominik and Carlito. Breakker hits Carlito with a Spear before Penta takes the Intercontinental Championship and hands it to Breakker. Breakker and Penta have a staredown in the middle of the ring to end the show.

He then mentions that he has opened the gate for a chance of a lifetime against the World Heavyweight Champion against a hand-picked opponent: Akira Tozawa, who shows up with Maxxine Dupri and Otis. Before the match, Gunther tells Tozawa that he picked him because of his TikTok dance with Maxxine Dupri and Otis from the start of the show. He does mention that they have things in common, yet Tozawa wastes his opportunity in WWE by goofing around for the fans. He says that Jey Uso made terrible choices and that it will cost them at WrestleMania, yet Tozawa has the chance to earn his respect. He then keeps shoving Tozawa until Tozawa finally kicks him in the face. Gunther soon blasts Tozawa with a big boot and knocks him down with authority, and Tozawa chops Gunther only to be chopped back and knocked down where he stands. Sami says that he does not know what he or Owens is capable of and that neither of them is in a good headspace, and that while he understands why their match is unsanctioned, WWE should be concerned about what will happen. He says that this match with Owens will be worse than any of the others that they have ever had, and warns Owens that it will be a bad time and that he hopes Owens is ready.

Rollins says he and Cody have not been in a ring together since last year's WrestleMania, and while he wants to celebrate this moment, he wants to know what Cody is thinking. He tells Cody not to make him regret everything he did to help him win the WWE Championship, and asks if the WWE Championship has become a burden to him. Cody says he wishes this conversation was going differently, and says The Rock may not have asked Rollins' because Rollins may already be compromised. He says they both know each other well and that their paths, but he has not forgotten what they went through at WrestleMania 40. Rollins says he is not here to judge Cody, and feels that he may be keeping him from making the same mistakes he made years ago. He says he has been full of hate lately and while it has pointed him in the right direction, he does not want to hate Cody. He tells Cody that he can make whatever decision he wants, but he wants to make sure that he does not face "a soulless Cody Rhodes" and instead, the same Cody Rhodes who beat him in Hell in a Cell and the same Cody he helped make champion. Rollins says Cody can do what he wants, as that is what he wants, and while he is not coming for his soul, he is coming for his title.

Jey does another "Yeet," but Grayson tells Jey that he is not on Gunther's level and that Gunther will run through him at WrestleMania, and that everyone knows it. Jey says everyone doubts him, but he will beat Gunther and become World Heavyweight Champion. Theory does the "Yeet" with Jey, then Grayson argues with Theory about it before Jey comes back to superkick Grayson.

He also says he would be the worst version of himself than any version of Punk. He calls losing to Punk the worst loss of his career and had never been more disappointed in himself in not getting the job done last week, then says he will flush Punk's WrestleMania dreams down the toilet, for he will be winning the Royal Rumble. Rollins says he will take pride in not only winning the match, but tossing Punk over the top rope. Punk says he sees this as Rollins taking the easy way out when Drew McIntyre suddenly shows up and heads to the ring. Punk tells McIntyre that if he takes one more step closer to the ring, it will take more than fifteen staples to close his head. He says he has faced - and beaten - Jey Uso twice and that he is capable or more than Jey, and says that while Jey is funny and entertaining, he will expose him as "a talented tag team wrestler" in the ring. Gunther states that Jey is not on his level and that the main even if where he belongs compared to "a nickname" for Jey. He tells Jey to stay out of his business, and while Saturday Night's Main Event is fine for him, the choice is up to Jey. Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 9, 2024

Gunther heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Gunther says that Finn Balor now has his attention and that Saturday Night's Main Event will not be like Survivor Series for him. Suddenly, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito) shows up. Finn says Gunther should have given him the title match, but he gave it to Dominik instead, then says he is the only reason Gunther is World Heavyweight Champion right now. He also says that Gunther is right about Saturday Night's Main Event being different from Survivor Series because he will take the title from him and become a world champion for the first time in eight years. Gunther says Finn did not earn a title shot on Saturday and that he knows Finn is frustrated, as he looked up to him and respected him eight years, but that respect faded away as soon as Finn Balor cut corners and aligned himself with The Judgment Day. He also says that Finn chose to play second fiddle to Damian Priest, and with no respect between them left, he is literally looking down on him, as Finn was best in the world for one night while he is the best for a long time to come. Gunther says that Finn will not be champion after Saturday because he was not and never will be at his level. The Judgment Day approaches the ring, but Damian Priest shows up and tears through them. Priest sends JD McDonagh into the ring to be smashed by Gunther, then Gunther hits Priest with a lariat and proceeds to attack him. Finn hits Gunther with a Sling Blade before he can powerbomb Priest through the table, then drop kicks Priest into the steel steps before hitting Gunther with a Coup de Grace. Meanwhile, Priest fights off The Judgment Day, but the numbers game takes over. Priest is soon held in place for not one, not two, but three Coup de Graces.

Pearce leaves, then Liv asks Finn for advice for her and Raquel's match tonight. Finn asks Liv to give him a few minutes.

PBR Professional Bull Rider Koltin Hevalow is seen in the front row.

The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, Rezar) and The Miz beat The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis) after Nikki Cross attacks Scarlett and Paul Ellering shows up out of nowhere to throw powder into Uncle Howdy's face.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Jackie Redmond interviews CM Punk. Punk declines to talk about the favor between him and Paul Heyman, then says he will not shy away from a fight with Seth Rollins and that he finds Rollins' hatred of him confusing. He mentions his history with Rollins, even mentioning that Rollins wanted to be trained for free, saying that everything Rollins has done, he has done before him and better, and while Rollins has filled the vacuum from when he was gone, it is time for him to go back on the bench.

Liv Morgan beats Dakota Kai. During the match, Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler) shows up to watch from ringside. Liv gets the win after the brief distraction from Sonya Deville, who gets knocked off the ring apron by Dakota as soon as she sees her. After the match, Pure Fusion Collective surround and attack Dakota Kai before Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane show up and make the save. Kairi takes out Pure Fusion Collective with a dive from the top rope, but Liv returns to hit Iyo Sky with Ob-Liv-Ion.

We hear from Drew McIntyre, who calls Hell In A Cell the most violent match of his career, and says that he succumbed to massive blood loss. He says he had to return to his family in Scotland, and that 2024 should have been his year, but he got screwed time and time again. McIntyre says that he thought people could change, but then he watched Survivor Series, and he knew that he had to take out Roman Reigns' Bloodline (Roman Reigns, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn) and CM Punk in order to change the present and the future.

It is announced that "Main Event" Jey Uso is not medically cleared to compete this week.

Backstage, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) show up after General Manager Adam Pearce meets with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Cody tells The New Day they should be ashamed of themselves.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins says CM Punk has a future as a politician and calls his backstage interview a master class in spinning the truth, which he says Punk has done his entire life. He calls Punk a fraud and a con man, and admits that he asked Punk to train him. He says that he and CM Punk were friends, then says that Punk failed to mention that when he walked out on WWE, he and several friends reached out to him only to get no response. He mentions that Punk badmouthed the company every chance he could, and that Punk only walked back into WWE because he failed at everything else, he burned every bridge that led to water, and the money was right. Rollins admits that he used to respect and want to be like Punk, but he realized that Punk was a fraud and he wanted to be better, which he did, including main eventing WrestleMania. Suddenly, Sami Zayn shows up, and CM Punk warns him that they will be fighting if he is here to defend CM Punk. Sami says they have said things while angry and that this was bound to happen, then says it was wrong of him to assume that Rollins attacked Jey Uso backstage and that he has known him long enough to know, and for that, he apologizes. Rollins says he is glad Sami brought that up, as they have been close friends for twenty years, and admits that Sami was the first person to come to his mind. Sami says Rollins was out of his mind last week and that he did not even know who he was. Sami also says that Rollins sounded less like himself and more like Drew McIntyre. Rollins says he is not Drew McIntyre, to which Sami agrees, saying he is better than McIntyre. He then says that his anger at Punk brings out the worst in him, and that he probably should not have gotten involved. Sami then says he will stay out of Rollins' business regarding McIntyre, to which Rollins appreciates, and when asked if they are good again, Rollins says "Yeah, we're good." He then says that just like how he has business with Punk, Sami has business with McIntyre. As Rollins leaves, Sami says that is pretty good advice, then says he will end things as quickly as possible with McIntyre. He says he has spoken with General Manager Adam Pearce, and at Saturday Night's Main Event, he faces McIntyre. On his way back up the ramp, Sami is suddenly attacked by McIntyre. Officials have to pull McIntyre off Sami.

Lyra Valkyria beats Ivy Nile and Zelina Vega to advance in the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods). They refuse to answer any questions regarding why they berated Big E, then says they will talk to the fans instead. Woods takes the camera with him as they head to the ring. When The New Day are booed by the crowd, Kofi cannot believe it, and neither can Woods, who gets the "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio treatment and gets booed so badly he cannot even speak. Woods says they did nothing to Big E, and Kofi says they could have hit Big E with a weapon and the fans still would have loved them, but the audience refuses to let them finish. The New Day then leaves, drowned out by the audience, and when they do, the fans cheer.

Rhea Ripley beats Raquel Rodriguez in an Anything Goes Match following interference from both Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky. After the match, Iyo Sky grabs the Women's World title at the same time as Rhea, and they have a staredown as the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for July 1, 2024

"Main Event" Jey Uso heads to the ring through the concourse and the crowd to start tonight's show. Jey says that Money In The Bank is coming soon and that he will be the one to climb the ladder and grab the Money In The Bank contract, then Chad Gable shows up. Gable says that "Yeet" is not even a word, then says "miracle" is and that he is one, because what he has done in the last two weeks is miraculous, as he overcame being attacked by The Wyatts, his family leaving him, and two other monsters to qualify for the match. Gable says he will become "Master In The Bank" on his way into the ring, then says Jey Uso should be the one who is scared and Jey Uso also abandoned his family. Jey says his family did what he did, which was getting out from under a manipulative scumbag. All of a sudden, the lights go out, Wyatt-style, and Gable makes his way over the barricade and slowly backs away. He soon runs into "Huskus," who is waiting in the light, and switches direction. Gable then sees "Ramblin' Rabbit," and looks for another exit. He finds one, but finds another member of The Wyatts. Gable soon makes his way further up into the crowd and runs. "Abbie" then shows up with another box, which she places on the commentary table.

It is revealed that inside of the box is yet another VHS cassette, which will be played later on in the show.

Xavier Woods beats Karrion Kross with an inside cradle. After the match, The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) attack The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), but Kofi Kingston gets the better of them. Kofi goes for a dive over the top rope, but he gets nailed with a Kross Hammer by Karrion Kross. Kross then tries to break Kofi's left arm, and only stops when the referee gets back in the ring.

Backstage, Damian Priest asks Dominik Mysterio if he has talked to Rhea Ripley. Dominik says he has and that it is all good, but Priest says he has spoken to Rhea and that she is not happy, and that Dominik needs to actually take care of business. When they get into the clubhouse, they find Liv Morgan, who leaves for her match. Priest takes offense to Liv being in the clubhouse, and Finn takes offense to the rest of The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik) being seen as "sidekicks." Priest says they all need each other, and that he has faith in himself. Finn says he will always have Priest's back and that he will always tell him the truth, and that since Priest has become a champion, he has changed.

In memory of Leati Sika Anoa'i, 1945 - 2024.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Zelina Vega, who says that she is not interested in chasing "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio; instead, she wants to chase the Women's World Championship. She says that she is a champion, and that everyone will see what a real champion looks like.

Liv Morgan retains the Women's World Championship against Zelina Vega. During the match, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio shows up at ringside, but soon afterwards, so does Rey Mysterio. During the match, Rey shoves Dominik after the two of them go at it and ringside, then Liv Morgan hits Rey with a baseball slide. This distracts Liv Morgan to the point that Zelina hits her with the 619. Not long after this, Dominik throws a metal folding chair into the ring, but Zelina takes it and throws it into Dominik's face, allowing Liv to hit Ob-Liv-Ion to retain. After the match, Cathy Kelley interviews Liv Morgan, who says that she feels like the luckiest girl in the world and that her revenge tour is going as planned, and dedicates tonight's victory and her victory futures to Dominik Mysterio, who she calls "the most gorgeous man in WWE."

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins heads to the ring. Rollins calls Boston, Massachusetts "a championship city" and tells the fans that he needs to win back the World Heavyweight Championship, and that he cannot settle for second best or anything less than a championship. He says that if he cannot Damian Priest, then he cannot get another crack at the title, and he must re-evaluate his legacy. Rollins then says that when the pressure is at his highest, that is when he is at his very best. He says that when he takes the title from Priest, he will take Priest from The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio), even though it is not his intention to break them up. As Rollins says that Priest will be the best version of himself he can be without The Judgment Day , Finn Balor shows up. Finn says he should be in a good mood tonight, but tonight, he is in a bad mood because everything seems to be changing and it is all Rollins' fault. Rollins says that Priest is his own man making his own decision and that Finn is mad at Priest for having the World Heavyweight Championship that he could not win, and if Finn wants to step into his ring, he will knock his teeth down his throat. Damian Priest shows up, and tells the two of them that they have one last chance to get things over with. Priest says that this is no trap and that nobody else is getting involved in his business, much to the ire of Finn Balor. Priest says it is just him and Rollins, and that Rollins does not run Raw like he thinks he does. Rollins says they might as well fight right now instead of Saturday, and that leads to Finn Balor attacking Rollins from behind. Priest pulls Finn off of Rollins, and says he will do this on his own. This leads to Rollins hitting a thrust kick on both Finn and Priest, but Priest responds with South of Heaven to Rollins before checking on Finn.

It is announced that Bojangles is partnering with WWE for some collector's cups featuring The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash), The Hart Foundation (Bret "The Hit Man" and "The Anvil" Jim Neidhart, The Undertaker and Kane and The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley).

We hear from Ludwig Kaiser, who says that Sheamus broke his ribs during his match with Bron Breakker and that Sheamus showed his true colors, and calls him nothing but a coward. He says it was originally about beating Sheamus, but now, it is more than that, and he will make it his only goal not only to come back and beat him, but to embarrass him once and for all.

Backstage, Damian Priest tells Finn Balor that he has to beat Seth "Freakin'" Rollins on his own. Finn understands, then Priest gets Finn some ice for his jaw.

Zoey Stark beats Dakota Kai and Ivy Nile in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the women's Money In The Bank Ladder Match after The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) show up and attack Kairi Sane, distracting Dakota Kai and allowing Zoey to hit her with the Z360 to win and qualify.

We see the contents of the VHS cassette from earlier. Bo Dallas asks Uncle Howdy how much longer they have to keep doing what they are doing, and what they are even doing in their present location. Uncle Howdy asks Bo Dallas if he honestly beleives that he brought Bray Wyatt to life. Bo Dallas says he was destined to do this. Howdy asks him if he thinks this is special, but Dallas says "special" implies others are not and are destined to be forgotten. He says that they are the ones that everyone wanted to forget and abandon, and that they made everyone notice them. Howdy asks how Bo Dallas believes he can bring Bray Wyatt to life, and Bo Dallas says that no one else is willing, and that clay in the hands of the potter is made to become something beautiful, and that they have been made to become a family. He says that there are "false prophets" belittling the family for their own gain, and says that this is disgusting and that they must pay for their sins. When Howdy asks if Bo thinks this is his responsibility, Bo says he is "the voice of the reckoning," and Howdy says he is the reckoning. The both say they are nobody, then they both start speaking at the same time as they keep switching chairs. Bo is then alone in the room. Bo says he set them free. Now Howdy is alone and Bo is not seen. Howdy says "There you are."

Backstage, Otis is met by Chad Gable in catering. Chad Gable thinks Uncle Howdy and Bo Dallas are talking about him, and says that he knows what he and that he knows Otis hates him. Otis says that he does not hate him, but tells Gable that he, Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa will not help him, as this is Gable's battle, not theirs. Gable says he understands that, but tells him that Tozawa, Maxxine or even Otis himself could be next after they get him. Maxxine and Tozawa show up, and Maxxine asks if everything is okay. Gable says everything is okay and leaves.

Rey Mysterio beats "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. During the match, Liv Morgan shows up, and this briefly distracts Rey Mysterio. Later on in the match, Liv pulls Dominik out of the 619, and Rey responds by baseball slide kicking Dominik into Liv, putting Dominik in a compromising position that Liv Morgan seems to enjoy. Soon after this, Liv is attacked by Zelina Vega, and the two of them go at it. At one point, Zelina trips Liv off the apron, which in turn trips Dominik off the top turnbuckle, allowing Rey to hit the 619 and drop the dime for the win. After the match, Liv is pleading with Dominik, saying she can fix this as they both head to the back.

We hear from Sheamus, who says that last night was fifteen years since he debuted in WWE and fulfill his dreams. He says that tonight, he gets a shot at another dream of becoming a two-time Money In The Bank winner. He says Ilja Dragunov and Drew McIntyre are two of the hardest hitters and that this match will be a war, but he will be one step closer to becoming world champion for a fifth time.

We see footage of Shinsuke Nakamura with Rei Tsuruya at UFC 303.

Sami Zayn heads to the ring. Sami says he is glad to be Intercontinental Champion as well as a fighting champion, and mentions his match with Bron Breakker at Money In The Bank. He says everyone thinks that Bron will run through him, and that he understands why. Sami then says that he will beat Bron Breakker at Money In The Bank so as not to be misunderstood. As he says that he is taking nothing away from Bron Breakker as a competitor, Bron Breakker shows up. Bron gets in the ring and says Sami gained a little bit of his respect, as everyone else backstage is afraid of him while Sami came to him and gave him a fight, which tells him that Sami has guts but has no idea what he is in for. He says that all the respect will go out of the window on Saturday when he beats him down and decimates him to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Sami asks Bron if he knows how many men have said they will break him in half, and says that while it has happened many times, he has always put himself back together and has always gotten back up, with the proof being in the Intercontinental Championship. He says that he wants Bron to want the title and to want to take it away from him, and that if he has to say who he says he is, then Bron has not done his homework and is not as smart or as good as he thinks he is. Bron turns away to leave the ring, then suddenly turns back around and Spears Sami. As Sami is leaving the ring, Bron goes for another Spear on Sami, but Sami avoids it and Bron runs into the ring steps again. This leads to a brawl at the commentary table, and back in the ring, Sami hits Bron with an Exploder Suplex. Sami goes for the Helluva Kick, but Bron hits him with another Spear from out of the corner.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Kairi Sane). Dakota Kai says that plans will not change and that Iyo Sky will win Money In The Bank, then says she is sick and tired of people getting involved in their business. Lyra Valkyria shows up and says that Dakota is only confident when Damage CTRL is a group and that Dakota will not be climbing that ladder for Iyo Sky. As Dakota says Lyra will not make it to money in the bank, Katana Chance and Kayden Carter go on the attack on Damage CTRL, and security and General Manager Adam Pearce have to break up the ensuing three-on-three brawl.

We hear from Ilja Dragunov, who says that the Money In The Bank can take one from the proving grounds to the top. He says that he knows about fighting from the bottom on his way to the top, and that it is time to breathe air of a new level. He says a career can be short, especially when animals like Bron Breakker try to end one, but says that this is a story of a different day and that he will fight Drew McIntyre and Sheamus and either become Mr. Money In The Bank or die trying.

Drew McIntyre beats Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov in a men's Money In The Bank Triple Threat qualifier. After the match, Cathy Kelley interviews Drew McInytre, who says that he told everyone that he would win this war and that he is walking into Money In The Bank and walking out World Heavyweight Champion.

After the match, Randy Orton watches the TitanTron and sees what is going on, then Orton looks for Logan Paul. With Owens' help, he finds him, then drags him out of the ring and beats him up. As Orton is about to put Logan through the announce table, he is attacked by Pretty Deadly again, but Owens hits Elton Prince with a Stunner and Orton hits Kit Wilson with an RKO. Orton then chases Logan Paul through the crowd and to the back, but Logan Paul soon gets away by stealing a red convertible.

The first hour of next week's Raw will be commercial-free.

WrestleMania 40 is eight days away!

We hear from Iyo Sky. She says Bayley started Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane) because she was lost, and not because of new talent. She says Bayley wanted the spotlight and that wanted everyone else to succeed so she could take credit. She calls Bayley a narcissist who played the victim, and says that Bayley's hypocrisy makes her sick. She admits Bayley helped her become champion, but she made Bayley relevant, and she and Dakota were obligated to keep Bayley around. They then got sick of her and outgrew her, and they knew what to do. Iyo says there was a time she viewed Bayley as a friend, and says she regrets that as she calls Bayley an embarrassment to the company. After Iyo says she hopes never to see Bayley again, she is suddenly attacked by Bayley, and the two brawl.

General Manager Nick Aldis is in the ring. Aldis says his singular goal is to make SmackDown the number one show for the fans, and he firmly believes that the acquisition of a certain Superstar takes him one step closer to that goal. He then introduces Jade Cargill. Jade Cargill heads to the ring and signs her contract, then takes the microphone and says it is about damn time. She then says WWE has one of the best female rosters in the world, but they are not Jade Cargill. She then announces that the storm has arrived.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane). Dakota Kai says Jade Cargill has done nothing in WWE but stand there, and that she will get rid of Bianca Belair, saying that if Bianca was smart, she would not have gotten involved in their business.

Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Paul Ellering head to the ring, and Karrion Kross directs traffic as AOP hits the Super Collider. Afterwards, Bobby Lashley heads to the ring and attacks Kross, but he is ganged up on by AOP, who hold him in place for a Kross Hammer to the back of the neck.

Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Humberto, Angel, Elektra Lopez) head to the ring. Santos Escobar says he hates to be that guy, then tells the fans that he told them so, and he wants everyone to remember that it was him who put Rey Mysterio on the shelf for months. He then boasts about beating Rey in the middle of the ring last week, and says Rey used to be the greatest luchador in the world until he outsmarted him, and all it took was one phone call to a man who despised Rey just as much as he did. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio shows up and enters the ring, and Escobar thanks him before apologizing, saying they did not see eye to eye at first and that Dominik was right. Dominik says he will do everything in his power to make Rey's life a living hell as the crowd boos him out of the building, and Escobar says that Rey always turns on his friends before The Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz del Toro, Zelina Vega, Carlito) show up. Rey says it is a shame and that he truly believed he was done fighting Dominik, but since Escobar dragged him into this and he wants to be a part of this, having Escobar and Dominik in front of him is truly a divine intervention. He says he now has the opportunity to beat respect into both of them, and proposes that the two of them face himself and a partner of his choosing in a tag team match at WrestleMania. When Dominik asks Rey which "dork" is going to be the one to tag with him, Rey says it is the newest member of the Latino World Order: Dragon Lee. Dragon Lee shows up wearing an LWO shirt, then Elektra Lopez talks trash to Zelina Vega, who then slaps Elektra. This leads to a five-on-five brawl all over the ring, and Carlito stops Dominik from hitting the 619 before Dragon Lee takes out Legado del Fantasma.

Backstage, Naomi meets up with Bianca Belair and wishes her well in tonight's match, and tells her that she has her back just like she had hers if Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Asuka, Kairi Sane) get involved. Bianca says it is no longer about Bayley and that they are in this together, and Naomi says that Damage CTRL will not want anything from either of them.

Backstage, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, JD McDonagh) are surprised by "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio's recent actions, especially when he did not tell anyone in the group what he was going to do. We hear from Paul Heyman, who says The Rock took out "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes on orders of Roman Reigns. Jimmy Uso is next to him, and says it is him vs. "Main Event" Jey Uso on Roman's order. We then see Solo Sikoa, who says that he will take Jey Uso out on Roman's orders.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles heads to the ring. Styles says it has been a little over a week, and says the fans are the reason why LA Knight came to his house and assaulted him in his front yard. He admits that he should have had Knight locked up, but he has bigger plans for him. Styles says that he wants the spotlight on Knight at WrestleMania so he can expose him for the "overachieving, undertalented piece of trash" that he is, and while General Manager Nick Aldis told Knight not to show up, he knows LA Knight is here. Styles calls Knight out, saying that he could be anywhere and could even be hiding in plain sight. After harassing the cameraman in the ring, security suddenly gets their hands on a masked, hooded man, but it is not LA Knight. Styles asks if the games are done, and says that he will not be playing games at WrestleMania. Suddenly, LA Knight is near him at the announce desk as Styles threatens to knock Knight's teeth down his throat. When Styles looks to the TitanTron, Knight jumps him, then grabs a chair and nearly hits him with it before Styles runs away through the crowd. Knight then says Styles must be the biggest piece of walking human waste he has ever seen, then tells Styles to do what he needs to, because at WrestleMania, he will know whose game this is.

We see a vignette for Tiffany Stratton, who says that carrying the burden of perfection is not as easy as she makes it look and that she vows to always look hot and spare the fans' eyes from "the Uggos." She also says everyone will find out what Tiffy Time is all about.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 15, 2024

The Rock makes his way to the ring to start tonight's show, and this time, he comes out to the "Hollywood Rock" theme. The Rock talks about how he usually torches and scorches every city that he is in, then says tonight is different, as this city - Memphis, Tennessee - is different. He talks about how he got started in professional wrestling in Memphis every Saturday morning on Channel 5 and every Monday night at the Big Top Flea Market as "Flex Kavana," then declares that he has come back home. The Rock says that it has been years and that everyone is going to have some fun, then proceeds to perform a song. He brings out two local artists for instrumental accompaniment, then sings about what he will do to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins at WrestleMania. He also makes fun of how Cody Rhodes was born (and the Stardust gimmick), compares Seth Rollins to Memphis Grizzlies player Ja Morant waving a gun, and makes fun of Cody's fans. The Rock then addresses Cody slapping him last week, saying Cody finally manned up and took a swing at him before making fun of him for crying while talking about his mother. He then addresses Cody's mother, saying he knows she is watching and that she will know him in ways she had not, and that Cody took something from him and that he will make him and his entire family. He says that he and Roman Reigns will beat Cody and Rollins at Night One, then says that the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will stay on Roman's waist before Cody's mom gets The Rock's belt: a leather weight belt with a brahma bull head on it. The Rock says he will beat Cody with the belt and make Cody bleed as he tears his flesh and whips him like a dog over and over, and that Cody's blood will be on the belt before he hands it over to his mother and leave her crying when he and Roman are done. He then says that he will whisper "What can I say except you're welcome?" into Cody's mother's ear.

Legado del Fantasma (Angel and Humberto) beat The Latino World Order (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) to advance in the first SmackDown bracket for the 6-Pack Ladder Match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

Kayla Braxton interviews LA Knight on the stage. Knight addresses "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles stating that he needs to be humbled, then says that Styles is speaking his language and dares Styles to humble him right now. Styles does not show up, and Knight says Styles is "not big enough for this ride" and has made nothing but empty threats, and while he attacked him in Australia, he cannot even drive to Memphis to face him. He says that instead of X marking the spot, LA Knight spots the marks, and if Styles doesn't have the guts to show up on SmackDown, he can show up at WrestleMania. He says he may not own SmackDown even though he may walk around like he owns the place, but he will own Styles' ass, and that Styles will find out it is his game at WrestleMania. Suddenly, Knight is attacked from behind with a chair by Styles. Styles accepts Knight's challenge as he sits down on the chair to press it against Knight's throat, and officials have to get Styles to stop.

Backstage, Logan Paul meets with General Manager Nick Aldis, wanting to know what Aldis has in store for Randy Orton after his actions last week. Theory then holds Orton down so that Logan Paul can punch Orton, but Kevin Owens shows up and clears both Theory and Logan out of the ring. Orton almost hits Owens with an RKO, but they both see Theory coming, and Owens hits Theory with a Stunner before Orton lays Theory out with an RKO. General Manager Nick Aldis then shows up to get back with Logan Paul regarding their backstage meeting from earlier, then tells Logan that he will face Kevin Owens and Randy Orton in a Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky, Asuka, Kairi Sane). Dakota Kai says Bayley will not be able to take them all out before WrestleMania, then tells Bayley that she will break her and that anybody who feels sorry for Bayley has lost their mind, as this is all Bayley's doing. She says that Damage CTRL had to cut Bayley loose to become stronger, then tells the women's locker room that they run the show.

Santos Escobar beats Dragon Lee. After the match, Legado del Fantasma attack Dragon Lee, then Carlito runs into the match and cleans house. Escobar soon gets the better of Carlito, but Rey Mysterio shows up. Rey Mysterio gets Escobar in position for the 619, but Escobar is able to roll out of the ring before he can hit it. Rey asks Escobar why he is running, then tells Escobar he will give him what he wants next week with a one-on-one match. Rey also promises that he will slap the stupid, arrogant smile off of Escobar's face.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 1, 2024

The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) head to the ring to start tonight's show. Roman keeps demanding that the crowd acknowledge him three times in order to get the necessary crowd volume before threatening to leave, and he soon becomes disappointed and says The Bloodline is done here. Paul Heyman reminds Roman that they have some other business, then announces to the crowd that The Rock will be out here live after the commercial break. After the commercial break, The Rock shows up and heads to the ring. The Rock asks the fans if they are sure they want to boo the rock only to get booed, then says he has some good news to share: Glendale, Arizona is ten miles away from Phoenix, which is the number one city for cocaine and meth use. He says the fans' lives have meaning and that the "cactus loving crackheads" finally have something worth shooting into their veins. The Rock says that for the first time in a long time, professional wrestling is cool, exciting and electrifiying again because of The Bloodline and that every city they head to will sell out. He then says that Cody Rhodes is not cool, and says that he will not have a one-on-one match with Cody tonight just because the fans tonight want it, but says that the world wants to go one-on-one with him, especially the women. The Rock then says that none of the women in the crowd are ready for his "22 inches of Heaven" that he will wrap around Cody, and says Cody is not ready for Roman, let alone him. He says The Bloodline looked at Cody's challenge and laughed, then states that they have a counter-offer for him: a tag team match where Cody and Seth Rollins face him and Roman Reigns at Night 1 of WrestleMania. He also says that if the two of them can beat him and Roman at Night 1, then Cody's championship match on Night 2 will be free of The Bloodline. However, if he and Roman win on Night 1, it will be "Bloodline Rules," meaning anything goes and The Bloodline can do anything they see fit, and it will be perfectly legal. The Rock says Cody has a lot to think about before he meets them in Dallas, Texas and gives them his answer. He also says that if they do not accept the challenge, then the world will know that he will do everything to make sure Cody does not become champion. He also says that nobody will be able to stop him, and that he and Roman will tragically end Cody's story. Roman stops The Rock before he can finish his promo, then tells The Rock that he will do anything for his family and that he needs one thing from him: acknowledgment from The Rock. The Rock takes off his sunglasses and tells Roman Reigns that he acknowledges him as his Tribal Chief. Both men then shake hands and hug. The Rock then tells the fans that this is family, and that he and Roman will do anything for family before telling the fans to go home and smoke some more crack before letting Roman finish his outro.

Backstage, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller watch footage from Elimination Chamber when LA Knight shows up carrying a metal folding chair looking for "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, saying he has a souvenir for him. Knight leaves, then Orton shows up, plays along, and proposes that he faces one of them. He ends up facing Theory when Grayson throws Theory under the bus and basically volunteers Theory as Orton's opponent.

Tiffany Stratton beats Naomi.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) vs. Bayley and Dakota Kai ends in a no-contest. During the match, Dakota Kai refuses to let Bayley tag her in, revealing that she was in league with Iyo Sky and The Kabuki Warriors all along, and all four of them attack Bayley.

Backstage, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) are celebrating when they run into Jade Cargill. General Manager Nick Aldis shows up and tells them now is not the time.

Bron Breakker beats Xyon Quinn in seconds with a Spear.

In memory of Michael Jones "Virgil", 1951 - 2024.

Carlito beats Santos Escobar in a Street Fight. During the match, Rey Mysterio returns on crutches, and he reveals that he is no longer on crutches when he attacks Angel and Humberto as they rush at him. Rey then gets in the ring with Escobar, and Carlito spits the apple mist into Escobar's face before putting him through a table for the win.

Backstage, New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne) meets with General Manager Nick Aldis, wanting to do whatever it takes for a tag team title shot at WrestleMania 40. Aldis says he has spoken with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and that they will make an announcement soon. Soon, LA Knight is heard looking for "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, and Aldis tells Knight that he told Styles not to be here tonight. Knight says he will find Styles and hit him with a chair and he will do whatever it takes to do it.

Kevin Owens guests on commentary for the next match.

Randy Orton beats Austin Theory. After the match, Orton is attacked from behind by Grayson Waller, but Kevin Owens leaves the commentary table and fights Grayson. Theory attacks Owens from behind, but Owens is able to fend them off. Theory gets a Stunner, and Grayson gets an RKO. Both men fist bump afterwards.
