After the events of last week's Impact Wrestling, it is announced that Alberto El Patron has reluctantly and begrudingly vacated the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship due to the circumstances in which he won it in last week's main event match against Lashley.
Alberto El Patron shows up...without the Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship. After saying that he loves Impact because they do not make him pretend to be someone he's not, he says that Impact is his house. Last week, he proved to everyone - including himself and the fans - that Lashley was beatable. He then says that if it were not for inside politics, he would still be World Heavyweight champ, and then calls out Lashley, wanting a fight. Instead of Lashley, however, El Patron gets Ethan Carter III, who commends him for relinquishing the World title after what happened last week, but tells him he can't just demand title shot and that he has to earn them. If he wants to earn one, he has to go through him, saying it's "Si vs. Three." El Patron says he has nothing against him, as he wants to fight Lashley and says the fans make the rules, not EC3. As he leaves, EC3 immediately questions the testicualr fortitude of Alberto El Patron, but El Patron gets back in the ring and tells him "I'm here to fight the big dog...not the bitch." After EC3 asks if there's nothing else he can do or say to get a match with him, El Patron repeats the "bitch" comment again. This immediately starts a brawl between the two men, and ever after officials and referees quickly rush into the ring to restore order, the brawl goes to the entrance ramp. Alberto El Patron gets in the ring and tells EC3 that if he wants a fight, he's got one.
