In footage from earlier in the day, "The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks is attacked by Jordan Devlin while on his way to the locker room, and his left knee is hurt in the process. Banks is medically cleared and will compete.
The cold open of the show is a brief history of the beginnings of what would become NXT UK.
Zack Gibson and James Drake beat Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) to become the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions!
"The Kiwi Buzzsaw" Travis Banks vs. Jordan Devlin ends with Banks' left knee being further injured after Devlin stomps it against the steel steps, forcing opponents to step in and help Banks to the back. Devlin takes the microphone that there is a reason not to bet against "The Ace." As Banks is helped to the back, Devlin calls himself "the greatest Irish wrestler alive." General Manager Johnny Saint then says something to Assistant Sid Scala, who says that they have a back-up plan after what Devlin has been up to. Scala and Saint leave, then Finn Balor shows up to become Devlin's replacement opponent.
Finn Balor beats Jordan Devlin.

"Bomber" Dave Mastiff beats Eddie Dennis in a no-disqualification match after driving Eddie Dennis through a table with a cannonball senton.
Kay Lee Ray and Jazzy Gabert are seen in the front row.
Toni Storm beats Rhea Ripley to become the NXT UK Women's Champion!
Charlotte Flair is seen in the front row.
Pete Dunne retains the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Joe Coffey in a grueling battle. After the match, German independent wrestling superstar Walter shows up. Joe Coffey tries to get between Pete Dunne and Walter, but Walter boots Coffey out of the ring before Dunne and Walter have their staredown. After the staredown, Walter heads back to the back.
