Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews "The Machine" Brian Cage, who says it has been a long time coming and that nobody gave his the opportunity, so he made one of his own. He promises he will walk out Impact Wrestling World Champion because he is the next evolution of wrestling and he has sacrificed everything to get here, which is more than what Johnny Impact has ever done. He admits that he and Johnny are very good friends, but their friendship loses tonight, and instead of getting his friend, Johnny will get "The F'n Machine."

Allie and Su Yung beat Kiera Hogan and Jordynne Grace after Su Yung spits red mist into Jordynne's face and Allie sends Kiera Hogan into unconsciousness with the Mandible Claw. After the match, Su Yung proceeds to beat up Kiera Hogan before calling for her undead bridesmaids to bring out a coffin to place Kiera in. When the coffin is opened, however, Rosemary - who has not been seen since Bound For Glory - comes out and fights off the bridesmaids before throwing Su Yung into them. Rosemary then climbs into the ring with Allie, who runs away when Rosemary tries to place her hand on the top of her head.

Sami Callihan beats Willie Mack.

Backstage, Mackenezie Mitchell interviews Eli Drake, who has a blindfold covering his eyes. He says that we are about to go on a rough and seemingly endless trip, for behind him is where Monster's Ball began. He says it is a new year, and that he is the man fit to be a king. When asked if he is afraid, he says that Abyss won't get the chance to grab Janice and that he will be riding on the gravy train when Eli Drake becomes the death knell of hardcore wrestling as well as Abyss' career.

Eli Drake beats Abyss in a Monster's Ball Match. During the match, Eli Drake takes some thumbtacks placed onto the wrestling match by Abyss and tries to throw them at Abyss, but Abyss ducks and the tacks hit the ref in the left eye instead. The referee is revived with water (Author's note: How do that even work? Is it holy water?).

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Killer Kross, who says that he has made his intentions crystal clear since day one and that he is transparent. He says that he and Johnny Impact are two sides of the same coins, and that he is the unapologetic one. He says that by the end of tonight, nobody will be talking about Option C; instead, they will be talking about "Option X" and that Johnny will have to do what he has to do to win.

Nick Wilson, winner of Season 37 of Survivor, is seen in the front row with fellow Season 37 castmate Davie Rickenbacker.

The Latin-American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) retain the Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Championships against The Lucha Bros. (Pentagon Jr. and Fenix) After the match, Konnan shows up and says that he was wrong, then helps The Lucha Bros. up before declaring that both teams were able to keep business and their friendships separate. He also concludes that this match was a very historical match as he predicted. Both teams and Konnan celebrate in the ring together.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Gail Kim, who says that she never thought this day would come and that Bound For Glory 2017 would be her last time in the ring, but Tessa Blanchard's attitude and abuse of authority has brought her back. While she admits she has respect for Tessa, she has respect for Taya Valkyrie, too. She plans to call it down the middle when it comes to crowning the Knockouts Champion.

Taya Valkyrie beats Tessa Blanchard to win the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship! During the match, Tessa Blanchard inadvertently nails Gail Kim with a forearm before hitting the Buzzsaw. Tessa, noticing this, grabs the Knockouts Championship to use it as a weapon, and Gail Kim ttries to take it away only to inadvertently nail Taya with the title. Nevertheless, Taya kicks out, and Tessa shoves Gail Kim not once, but twice. Gail shoves Tessa into Taya, who nearly wins on a schoolkid pin. A little later on, Tessa grabs Gail Kim by the neck, but Gail escapes out of it and hits Tessa with Eat Defeat, allowing Taya to hit Road To Valhalla to win the title.

It is announced that Impact Wrestling is premiering this Friday night on the Pursuit Channel at 10 PM, with a simulcast on Twitch happening at the same time each and every week.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Johnny Impact, who did not expect to cheer "The Machine" Brian Cage after the last time they were in the ring and that tonight is about becoming World Champion. There are two types of champions: paper champions and fighting champions, and he has been a fighting champion who has taken on all comers. Tonight is Cage's shot to become World Champion, and while Cage is committed, it is about who has the biggest heart, not the fittest body.

Johnny Impact retains the Impact Wrestling World Championship against "The Machine" Brian Cage. During the match, Cage shoves Survivor Season 37 castmate Davie Rickenbacker, and the referee is distracted by Season 37 winner Nick Wilson, who is trying to jump the guardrail as Cage hits the Drill Claw. This gives Johnny the time to recover and kick out, and when Cage goes for a vertical suplex off the bottom rope, Johnny breaks out of it and somehow pins Cage for the win. After the match, Cage takes the World Championship away from the referee and dejectedly throws it to Johnny before leaving. Taya Valkyrie then shows up and hugs Johnny before celebrating with him. As Taya and Johnny are on the stage, Johnny is suddenly attacked by Killer Kross. Taya tries to fight him, but Killer Kross powerbombs her into a couple of people near the stage to end the show.
