After the match, Tony Schiavone interviews Cody, who says that legacy is a funny thing and that when he got into wrestling, all he wanted to do was win the title they took away from his father. He says that goals change and that time flies as he tries to get back to his feet, and Cody has to use a crutch that is handed to him to get back up. As he limps, he talks about how he met The Elite and how everyone laughed at them when they tried to start AEW.
