At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for September 3, 2023

We see a video package for Rocco Bellagio vs. "The Pope" Elijah Burke to start today's show.

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice beats Bryce Saturn by submission.

We see a video package chronicling the formation Myron Reed and Mickey Midas as a tag team.

Mickey Midas and Myron Reed, now known as "The Brotherhood", beat Technical Difficulties (Raheem de la Suede and "The Deliverer" Moses).

Backstage, Beck Reeves is met by Alexis Littlefoot, who gives him her business card (which does not have her phone number on it). When Beck Reeves mentions the lack of a phone number, Alexis Littlefoot says she only gives her phone number to people who are "money."

Backstage, Dane Becker interviews "The Pope" Elijah Burke and Rocco Bellagio. Bellagio says he steals every show he is in, and mentions that he and The Pope were the first two faces in Derby City Wrestling. He says that they will now face each other for the first time ever, and tonight, he will put on one hell of a show as he kicks his ass. Pope says that yesterday is history and tomorrow is a mystery, but right now is a gift and that is why it is called from the present. He says he is not focused on the past and that Rocco stands in front of him, and that their match is the biggest gift that the fans can have tonight.

We hear from "BHK" Kevin Marterson, who says that he will be here next week to defend the United Heritage Championship against "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams, whom he is not taking lightly, for he is the baddest champion on this or any planet.

We look back at Ruby Raze vs. Simone Sherie from UWN Primetime Live.

Rocco Bellagio beats "The Pope" Elijah Burke. During the match, The Pope inadvertently knocks out the referee in the corner. Shortly after this, Dylan Bostic shows up and knocks The Pope out with a roll of quarters in his fist, which spill all over the ring. Rocco, dealing with the pain in a worked-on left knee, barely gets a hand over him and somehow gets the pinfall victory. After the match, Rocco notices all of the quarters on the match and realizes just what happened, and he is livid.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 22, 2023

Gio Savage and Draco beat The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) by disqualification after Simon hits Gio Savage with a chair. After the match, Draco beats Simon up, then Mr. Chris hits Draco in the back with a chair before grabbing a chain and wrapping it around Gio and Draco so they can hit them with a chair some more until referees and security get The Posse out of the ring. Afterwards, Dustin Starr interviews The Posse at the announce desk. Simon says that next, they won't be destroying the WrestleCenter or kidnapping Santa Claus, but destroying a family. He then says "Ain't that right, Lance?"

Backstage, Tim Grind is on the phone with someone, saying he knows The Posse have kidnapped Lance McCade and that he will get Lance back.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo.

It is revealed that Brother Bruce has been laid out backstage. Sister Jennifer finds him down on the floor wanting to know who did this, and says Reverend Ash Taylor is not going to like this.

"The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Nixi XS. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Nyxx at the announce desk. Nyxx says her back is hurting from carrying the woman's division and that Mackenzie Morgan is undeserving of her championship. She says Mackenzie gets all the opportunities she never got, then says she should be saying all of this to her face and not to Dustin before calling Mackenzie out. Mackenzie Morgan shows up, and Nyxx reiterates her points to Mackenzie before telling her she will never win the women's title because she is undeserving of it. She dares Mackenzie to hit her, and when she does not, Nyxx slaps her and Mackenzie hits back. Security and referees quickly move into place to break up the brawl.

Big Dan finds Sister Jennifer gagged and bound backstage, then puts the gag - which looks like one of Reverend Ash's pamphlets - back in her mouth.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats ATM by referee stoppage after "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane yanks ATM off the ring apron and sends him into the ring post, then puts ATM in the guillotine choke after the match. After the match, Austin Lane proclaims that today is his birthday and says nobody cares, then Nikki Lane says that if it were "The GunShow" Brett Michaels' birthday, the whole WrestleCenter would be decorated. Austin Lane says today is the birth of a new era in Memphis Wrestling, as it is not about "GunShows, cliques, or churches," for it is the beginning of "The Lane Dynasty."

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss) at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock mentions that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson met him while he was at Regional One, and reads a get well soon card that tells him that he cannot wait to see him get rid of Brett Michaels and that Young Rock got cancelled because of Brett, whom he blames for the low ratings. Blaylock says that Van Viciouss was also on Young Rock and that The Rock also hates Brett Michaels, the Brett Michaels shows up and confronts Blaylock, with Blaylock's bodyguards getting in the way. Blaylock says that Brett has an ego and that he or nobody likes him, then challenges him to a match against Van Viciouss next Friday at AutoZone Park for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship. Brett says Blaylock is the biggest fool of them all, and that he will put his title on the line before telling Blaylock he has friends, too. Rocky the Redbird shows up and poses for the crowd, then Brett gets in the ring.

"The Pope" Elijah Burke beats "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt. During the match, Sister Jennifer shows up, but Ray Collins shows up and carries her to the back while Reverend Ash Taylor hits The Pope in the back with his collection plate. The Pope kicks out, and Taylor gets back on the apron only to be hit with an elbow before hitting Rembrandt in the back with the running double knees for the win.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for April 23, 2023

David Marquez interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky says it would be a pleasure to be in Louisville, Kentucky, but that would be a total eye. He asks if this is where they filmed The Hills Have Eyes and asks Marquez "Have you seen these mutants?" After demanding respect and saying the people love him as he is booed, he says that Marquez must hate it here and that he would be happier working for Mickey Mouse. Zicky then says he has unfinished business here as well as a surprise for the fans and that they will see him in action. He says that when all is said and done, they will call this "Dice City Wrestling," then he will fire Marquez first to continue the pattern of Marquez getting fired from every place he has ever worked. After David Marquez tells Zicky Dice that there is no need to get personal, Zicky says he will make it very personal, then asks Marquez if he can borrow five dollars from him while he still has a job.

Technical Difficulties (Raheem de la Suede and "The Deliverer" Moses) beat The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate) after being attacked by Infrared (Logan James and and Tyler Matrix).

We hear from "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. He says he will not take away anything from Dylan Bostic, but he knows who he is, and if Bostic wants to be put over, he will bring him a couple of notches just to bring him back down.

Backstage, "Outlandish" Zicky Dice meets Darien Bengston and immediately decides to take him underneath his wing on the way to his match.

Darien Bengston - who takes "Outlandish" Zicky Dice's place in the match - vs. Robbie Walker ends with Zicky Dice attacking Walker on the outside. After the match, Bengston is reluctant at first, but he soon stomps Walker alongside Zicky Dice, who then tosses the referee out of the ring before saying "It's all part of the plan!"

David Marquez interviews "Pretty" Peter Avalon. Brian Myers soon shows up and says Avalon must be the ugliest man ever nicknamed "Pretty" and says he will give him a complete makeover while promising he will look much better with two black eyes.

"The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater vs. Jason Levi and the aftermath is replayed.

We hear from Rocco Bellagio, who says that he will steal the show and beat Danny Limelight for the United World Championship.

Dylan Bostic beats "The Pope" Elijah Burke after exposing a turnbuckle behind the referee's back and sending The Pope face first into it.
