"Main Event" James Morgan guests on commentary for this week.

Buck Skynyr beats Sergio Santana.

Todd Kenneley interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky Dice lists off his amateur and professional wrestling accomplishments and says that unlike the greats, he was not handed everything with a silver spoon and does not have a legacy last name. He says that his father was an alcoholic who crashed his car into a tree while chased by police, and that he is somehow painted in the same light as his father. He says that anything everyone else can do, he can do better. He says that he has built a brand and that this intimidates everybody, and says that nobody has had his back. He says that it is time for everyone to wake up after nine years after doing everything everyone wanted to do got him nowhere, and that he must take things into his own hands. On the subject on his chaotic in-ring behavior, Zicky says there is no facade and that he has done a lot of things he is not proud of, but those things have got him here, and if anyone wants to figure him out, all they have to do is keep watching.

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks beats "Main Evant" Evan Daniels. During the match, Daniels sandwiches the referee between the corner and EJ Sparks, then kicks Sparks in the groin as the referee is down. Suddenly, Mikey O'Shea shows up, and he spits Daniels' sparkling water into his face before slamming him into the ring post twice as he gets him back in the ring, where EJ Sparks hits Evan Daniels with Roundhouse Rhythm for the win.

Backstage, General Manager Jonny Loquasto meets with The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito). After Bad Dude Tito demands his world title shot, Che Cabrera says that putting Wild West (Big Hoss and Rob McKnight) in the ring with them is the worst thing Loquasto could do and that they will prove why they are tag champs.

Backstage, Guy Cool is met by Jason Levels, who wants him in the ring as he owes him a win. Suddenly, Flex McCalleon shows up and brags about beating Guy Cool. Guy Cool is not stressed out, and an irritated Levels wants Guy Cool in the ring next week. Flex wants in on this and tells Guy Cool to find a tag team partner. Guy Cool says he knows someone.

We hear from "Pretty" Peter Avalon, who says that he came up short last week against Danny Limelight yet had something woken up inside of him, and next week, he will have something special at the start of the show. We hear from Alex Gracia, who says that she will remind everyone what the "Pink Dream" is as she one thing on her mind: the World Women's Championship. We hear from "Benevolent" Jack Banning, who goes against "Outlandish" Zicky Dice next week. He says there is no chance Zicky Dice will take his title, as he is also going out there on his own and proving that he can do this by himself. He says he will keep the title until he retires, and tells Zicky Dice to keep his emergency contact on speed dial.

"King FatBoy" Papo Esco beats El Primohenio Tribeca.

We see more of Todd Kenneley's interview with "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky Dice says he has wondered if people taking him seriously or as a joke, then says he has lost everything and that professional wrestling is all he has. He says he has picked up advice over the years and knows that he has to stand out and be a character, but due to his past, he has tended to stay quiet about things and swallow his pride and do everything expected of him than be who he really is. Zicky says he is here to right that wrong.

Danny Limelight guests on commentary for the next match.

Wild West (Big Hoss and Rob McKnight) beat The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) by count-out after Bad Dude Tito confronts Danny Limelight at the announce table and McKnight shoves Tito into Limelight before getting back into the ring in time, which Tito is unable to do. The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) retain the United World Tag Team Championships. After the match, Tito and Limelight have a staredown before having a brawl, which Che Cabrera also gets involved in. Limelight is laid out as the show ends.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for February 25, 2024

General Manager Jonny Loquasto is in the ring to start this week's show. He states that as General Manager, he felt that the perfect way to kick off this week was to bring out an individual who has been the face of the United Wrestling Network for over 400 days and has clawed his way up from the bottom to reach the pinnacle and become the United World Champion: Danny Limelight. Limelight heads to the ring, and asks the fans if they missed him before stating that he has not spent his entire time at home, as he has been on a world tour with the United World Championship. He states that he has been champion for over 400 days and has taken the title to Mexico, Puerto Rico and all the states in-between to be a fighting champion for himself as well as the fans. Limelight runs down his title defenses, such as Moose, Clark Connors, "Filthy" Tom Lawlor, "Outlandish" Zicky Dice, and Eddie Kingston, then mentions that the Red Carpet Rumble is around the corner and that someone else will be after his title. He brings up Slice Boogie, then mentions that he is first Golden Opportunity and the World Champion and that Slice is playing a game of "anything you can do, I can do better." Limelight then says that he or anyone who steps up for the title will get put down. As Loquasto declares that Limelight will be defending his championship next week, Slice Boogie shows up. He says the time for rice and beans and pina coladas is over, then says "I'm your papi now!" and wants Limelight for the world title tonight. Loquasto acknowledges that Slice has a shot at the world title, but announces that he is not Limelight's opponent next week. That opponent is announced to be "Pretty" Peter Avalon, the longest reigning Heritage Champion. Slice Boogie tells Avalon he is in a good mood when he shows up. Avalon tells Slice Boogie that he admires his confidence and says that he is talented, and if he wins the title, he will gladly defend it against him. He then says it is him and Limelight next week, and that he will leave with the title and "that is deadass." Limelight states that "PPA" will soon stand for "Papi pins Avalon."

Mikey O'Shea beats "Main Event" Evan Daniels by disqualification after Daniels hits O'Shea with a canned beverage from the crowd on the outside.

Backstage, General Manager Jonny Loquasto meets with "Benevolent" Jack Banning, who tells him that based on his actions, he wants his main event match for the Television Championship is against a man who has been by his side and has helped him during his title reign, and was even stripped of his first name before he left him in the dust: Honest John. Banning says that is fine with him, as he gets to teach Honest John one fnal lesson. When Banning walks off, it is revealed that Honest John has been overhearing him in secret.

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks beats "Highly Recommended" Cameron Gates.

Backstage, General Manager Jonny Loquasto talks with Jason Levels. He says he understands that he is wanting to be a giant killer, but tells him to stick to opponents his own size. He leaves, then Guy Cool shows up trying to catch up with Jonny. Levels asks if they have a problem, but Guy Cool says "No, I'm cool." Guy Cool runs off, and Levels is confused.

We hear from Jordan Cruz, who says Ju Dizz beating him means absolutely nothing and that he was right to cross him all along. He says he is still the baddest man in the locker room and that his fire is fueled even further, and if anyone thought he had a mean streak before, they haven't seen anything yet. We hear from Savanna Stone, who says that she has lived in uncertainty and listened to others for too long, but she knows for certain that her time in The Institution ("Benevolent" Jack Banning, Savanna, Honest John) has taught her pain and growth, which equals struggle. She says she is one with herself, and that the Women's World Championship is hers for the taking. We hear from "Timeless" Levi Shapiro and Rob McKnight, and Shapiro says that they are coming back to the United Wrestling Network to wreak all kinds of havoc and beat all of the tag teams. Rob McKnight says that when they step in the ring, everyone had better watch out.

El Primohenio Tribeca beats CJ Tino.

"Benevolent" Jack Banning retains the United Television Championship against Honest John following two pop-up cutters and a DDT into the guillotine choke.

The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) head to the ring. He says it feels good to be back home in Irvine, California, as he has been in and out of planes on business in both Memphis, Tennessee and Louisville, Kentucky. He says that the United Wrestling Network represents the underdog as well as the fans, then mentions his recent United World Championship defense against "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater, and while he respects Clearwater for looking him in the eye, he does not like other people trying to get into his business, including TMZ ("Hysterical" Shane Haste, Bad Dude Tito, Che Cabrera), who wanted to fight in the shadow and get some cheap shots on him. He says that he and Bad Dude Tito will be looking face-to-face at Golden Opportunity, the same event that put him on the road to championship gold, and he tells Tito that if he wants his title, he will have to kill him for it. TMZ soon show up, and Bad Dude Tito says that if he has to kill Limelight, he will do it in the middle of the ring for the United World Championship. He then mentions that there will be a six-man tag match between TMZ and The Bodega in two weeks, and after that match, there will not be much left of Limelight and the United World Championship will be his. Papo Esco admits that while TMZ make the United World Tag Team Championships look good, they would look much cleaner next to the United World Championship. Tito says the belts would not fit around his waist, but Papo Esco says he has plenty of shoulders before telling him that if they win in two weeks, they will insert themselves into the tag team title match with Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCallion) and walk out the tag team champs. Shane Haste accepts the challenge.

Backstage, Bateman meets with Jonny Loquasto wanting a shot at the United Heritage Championship and Kevin Martenson at Golden Opportunity, making his case for it with his recent accomplishments. All of a sudden, Bryce Saturn shows up and says he is the only member of Final Destination (Charles "R-Three" Cassus, Evan Daniels, Saturn) not to get a shot at it, and Bateman will have to go through him to get that shot. Bateman says this is is a great idea and that he will use his words against him.

Ju Dizz beats El Primohenio Tribeca to advance in the Golden Opportunity Tournament.

Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews Johnnie Robbie. Johnnie says she is back, and the only thing on her mind is the United Women's World Championship, and that she will make and break her own rules to beat Zeda Zhang.

Bateman beats Bryce Saturn to earn a shot at the United Heritage Championship. After the match, Bateman offers his hand to Saturn only to knock him out with another Death From Above.

Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews Flex McCallion. Flex says everyone is looking forward to his and Richie Slade's golden opportunity, and tells everyone not to be foolwed as there is more than meets the eye to them. He then says some people have forgotten that and that they have been frustrated for the past year after being robbed and cheated out of a tag team title run. He says that they are winner, but every time they lost, it is because somebody cheated, and that they have never stooped so low to do such a task to become #1 contenders. He says the opportunity has risen again and that they must win against all the odds in order to beat TMZ ("Hysterical" Shane Haste, Bad Dude Tito, Che Cabrera) and win the big one. Suddenly, someone walks by and pats Flex McCallion along the way, and Flex recognizes them.

Zeda Zhang beats Johnnie Robbie to receive a bye in the United Women's World Championship Tournament. After the match, Zeda Zhang helps Johnnie Robbie, but Johnnie shoves her away.
