The Teardrop Xplodes - Xplosion recap for April 19, 2024

We look back at Chris Sabin vs. "Switchblade" Jay White vs. Steve Maclin at Rebellion 2022.

Gia Miller interviews Jake Something for Around The Ring. Jake Something talks about his being a member of "The Doughnut Crew," a club that talks about doughnuts which consists of "Inevitable" Ace Austin, Chris Bey and "the mystery number." Jake Something mentions Federal Donuts and Chicken, which happens to be on his cup, as well as their donuts. Jake Something mentions his preference for doughnuts with peanut butter or chocolate as well as they mystery doughnut that he had recently.

We look back at The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) for the TNA World Tag Team Championships from last night's iMPACT!.

Myron Reed beats Ray Jaz after Trey Miguel gets on the apron and tosses a can of spray paint to Myron as he distracts the referee, allowing him to spray paint Ray Jaz in the eyes before hitting Cap'n Crunch for the win.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for November 27, 2022

Before the next match, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater and Invictus Khash are in the ring. Clearwater demands respect from the fans, then says that he is usually all smiles, but today, he is pissed off because he has to be out here wasting his time with idiots and "those fools Ray Jackoff and his dumb personal trainer." He then challenges Raymond Jazikoff to face Invictus Khash man-to-man. Afterwards, it is announced that James Kincaid is back at the commentary table after being attacked by "Benevolent" Jack Banning.

Invictus Khash beats Ray Jazikoff with the Fujiwara arm bar. During the match, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater grabs Mike Goga and throws him into the ring post, distracting Jazikoff and allowing Invictus Khash to get the win, even as Jazikoff breaks the hold only for Khash to lock it in again.

Backstage, Johnny Loquasto talks with "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Dice says he has been getting more attention ever since he won the Heritage Championship and that he is letting anyone win it from him. Suddenly, Kevin Masterson pops up from underneath, taps the front plate of the Heritage title, says "Mine," then sinks back down. Zicky Dice asks "Was that Jesus?" Loquasto replies, "More athletic."

Johnny Loquasto is beseiged backstage by Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon), who want a proper tag team title rematch. Loquasto says they had it, but Beef Candy says their opponents have been cheating as of late and that they have recently defeated Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) clean. Loquasto tells Beef Candy that in a couple of weeks, they will face TMDK (Shane Haste, Mikey Nichols, JONAH, Bad Dude Tito), and if they can beat TMDK, they will be guaranteed a tag team title shot.

Vipress beats Mylo with the Sidewinder.

Jordan Cruz retains the United Television Championship against Dom Kubrick. After the match, "Benevolent" Jack Banning shows up on the stage and claps.

El Primohenio Tribeca beats Lord Crewe by count-out after Crewe leaves the ring and lets himself be counted out, much to the satisfaction of Halston Boddy as well as Crewe, who is heard saying "You wanted this." As per pre-match stipulation, El Primohenio Tribeca now has Halston Boddy has his manager. Primohenio is confused after the match.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Danny Limelight. Limelight says he has been facing the best of the best and that they just keep coming, and that he will put Alan Angels out just like the rest, as he has his eyes on the United World Championship and The Bodega (Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) will put an end to The Embassy's (Prince Nana, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater, Invictus Khash, Talos) tactics as he takes what "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater loves most: the gold.

Danny Limelight beats Alan Angels by submission.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for October 16, 2022

Johnny Loquasto introduces D'Lo Brown to the ring. Loquasto notes that D'Lo Brown has in his hands a contract for the United World Championship, and D'Lo Brown says it feels like he has waited for an eternity to stand before the United Wrestling Network faithful. D'Lo Brown then mentions that the contract is for #1 contender Danny Limelight, who arrives and heads to the ring. Danny Limelight wants to know "Where's the Golden Boy?" The Embassy shows up, and "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater says Limelight never graduated from high school and got his GED, as he seems to have forgotten that he calls the shots around here. Clearwater says that he does what he wants, beats who he wants and that Championship Wrestling is his place and birthplace. He says that he will not sign the contract unless he feels like it and nobody can do anything about it. He says that he is the mountaintop and that Limelight is chasing him and at the bottom looking up at what he can't have, then Limelight says he has been at the bottom his whole life and has proven people wrong, and that the fans can relate. Limelight says he does everything he does for his kids and his legacy, and while Jordan Clearwater is champion, he is the heart and passion of the comapny. He says Clearwater calls himself a "Golden Boy," but all he sees is "a Golden Bitch." He says that Clearwater's birthright is his destiny, and while Clearwater can sign whenever he wants, he will sign the contract right now. Limelight signs the contract. Clearwater then approaches the contract, then waves it off and walks away.

Slice Boogie guests on commentary for the next match.

"King FatBoy" Papo Esco beats Vinne Massaro.

Mylo beats Alex Gracia following the distraction from the stage by Zeda Zhang.

Bateman beats Big Hoss.

D'Lo Brown guests on commentary for the next match.

Willie Mack and Ray Jazikoff beat The Embassy ("The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater and Invictus Khash) as The Embassy's unknown big man grabs Mike Goga and throws him on the stage before Jazikoff stops Clearwater from hitting the Midas Touch so that Willie Mack can hit Khash with the Stunner. After the match, Clearwater, Khash and the unknown big man attack Willie Mack and Ray Jazikoff, but they run away when Danny Limelight runs into the ring.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for June 19, 2022

Shane Haste beats Kevin Martenson.



Mike Anthony beats Mr. Classic.



Backstage, David Marquez interviews "Benevolent" Jack Banning, Hunter Freeman and Brendan Devine. Jack Banning says that there are more people to come and that only a select few known as "the privileged" control everything. He says that those who think they have a semblance of control have been spoonfed propaganda and that he used to eat from the same table, then says that things have changed now. He says that he does things as a unit now and that he will make his point known.

Backstage, Howdy Price advertises his managerial services to Reka Tehaka and Savannah Stone, but they are having none of it.

Before the next match, Flex McCalleon says that he and Richie Slade did what they said they would do and that they are now tag team champions. Suddenly, The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) show up. Gibson says that Beef Candy did not pin the legal man and that his tights were pulled, and that The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) were not supposed to be part of that match. He demands a rematch, and Richie Slade accepts on Beef Candy's (Flex McCalleon and Richie Slade) behalf. Gibson then says "Next week, when we're ready" before hitting Beef Candy with a cheap shot, starting the next match.

Beef Candy (Flex McCalleon and Richie Slade) retain the United World Tag Team Championships against The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) when the ring bell is almost used as a weapon.



Johnnie Robbie, Mylo Matters and Delilah Doom beat Reka Tehaka, Savannah Stone and Marina Shafir in a six-woman tag match after Reka Tehaka and Marina Shafir brawl on the outside while Mylo Matters pins Savannah Stone with a schoolkid pin.



Backstage, David Marquez interviews Willie Mack. Willie says that this is a good homecoming for him and that gold has been attracted to him, and that he is not losing on his return as he brings the United World Championship home next week.

Raymond Jazikoff - accompanied by Mike Goga - rolls up and pins Invictus Khash in a matter of seconds. After the match, Jake Farmer interviews Invictus Khash, but Khash brushes him away and walks off.



Ray Rosas beats "Poppin'" EJ Sparks by submission following the Bed of Rosas.
