Generation NXT - NXT recap for December 16, 2025

Backstage, General Manager Ava runs into Je'Von Evans, who is waiting in the parking lot for Ricky Saints. Ava wants Je'Von to return to the building to reason with him, but Je'Von insists on waiting.

Thea Hail beats Blake Monroe to become the NXT Women's North American Champion! During the match, Thea Hail hits Blake Monroe with a springboard senton, and while Blake gets her right shoulder up in the nick of time, the referee does not see it.



We hear from The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame0. They see two dolls of Niko Vance and Shawn Spears, and Izzi Dame says that Tatum Paxley cannot accept defeat and cannot move on like they have have.

"All Ego" Ethan Page heads to the ring. Ethan Page complains that more people care about John Cena than him, especially after he was attacked, then says he wants answers as to why he was attacked by Tony D'Angelo, who he calls out. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace show up instead, and Stacks says he does not know or care about D'Angelo or what his problem is, then mentions Ethan talking about being a champion and how Arianna wants more gold for Christmas. Stacks says the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championships would look better on him and Arianna, then Moose suddenly shows up and takes offense to Stacks being Total Nonstop Action International Champion, saying "the boys are pissed" and that he is going to do something about it. As Ethan leaves the ring, Moose says he is also laser-focused on Ethan Page, who stops in his tracks to take one of NXT's most prestigious titles back. As Ethan says there are rules, Moose says that General Manager Ava and TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella have signed off on it. He announces that Ethan will defend the North American title against him at the end of year awards show. Ethan goes for a cheap shot, but Moose overpowers him.



Backstage, Leon Slater is talking to Je'Von Evans in the parking lot, saying that Ricky Saints may not show up tonight and that they have a tag team title #1 contender's match. Je'Von joins Slater back in the arena.

Hank Walker and Tank Ledger beat OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price). During the match, a black Chevrolet luxury vehicle pulls up in the parking lot. Later on in the match, Bronco Nima has Hank Walker up for a vertical suplex, but Tank bounces off the corner and bumps Lucien into Bronco, allowing Hank to counter with an inside cradle on Bronco for the win.

Ricky Saints is seen coming out of the black Chevy SUV from earlier and entering the arena alongside security. (Interestingly, the front security guard on the left - Ricky's right - is Chris Island from LFG.)

Backstage, General Manager Ava meets with Jasper Troy. Ava announces that next week, there is another WWE Speed Championship tournament, and Jasper Troy says that is bad news for whoever is in the tournament as well as whoever he has to face.

Ricky Saints heads to the ring, with the security guards from earlier standing around the ring apron. Saints says that he is not out here to apologize for the day he stepped foot into the ring and bring in "The Absolute Era," as he wanted to prove to the world that he is the guy who can carry any brand as he is relentlessly booed. He says that he took a gamble on himself and did not have any more options, and that he had to be obsessed with being number one. Saints that he was the man to beat Oba Femi and he did it, yet the fans really wanted Je'Von Evans to beat Oba. Saints says this is why nobody cared when Je'Von jumped the line and cashed in his title shot in front of him, and that he had to put him in check and tell him that he is not the man until he says so. Saints says he will not be ignored or passed over anymore and that he will take what he wants, and if he has to stab someone in the back to do it, so be it. He then says that he will prove that Je'Von and everyone will have to wait, for he is done with the popularity contest with people chasing clout when he is a real main eventer. He says that the revolution is televised and that will nobody will get to the top and take the risks to keep the top spot more than him. All of a sudden, he is attacked by Je'Von Evans from the outside of the ring. The security guards move in, and this leads to a brawl. Saints overpowers Je'Von and puts him through the announce table with a Ro-Sham-Bo.



Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page interrupts General Manager Ava and she talks with Sol Ruca and Zaria, angry about what has happened to him tonight. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre soon join Ethan, and Chelsea complains about what has been going on in NXT as of late. Ava says she is not to blame for what is happening to Chelsea, and says that Chelsea and Ethan will be tested for the next two weeks. While Ethan will defend the North American Championship in two weeks, Chelsea will defend the Women's United States Championship against Sol Ruca next week.



Jacy Jayne guests on commentary for the next match.

Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey beat Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) by submission with a cross arm breaker from Kendal to Fallon.



Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Thea Hail. Thea rambles on, still surprised that she is now a champion. Jordynne Grace shows up, amazed that Thea was able to beat Blake Monroe faster than she could, then Blake shows up furious that she is lost. Jordynne tells Blake to lick her wounds somewhere else and let Thea have her moment. Blake says she wants her rematch, then leaves.

Backstage, Izzi Dame is met by Lola Vice, who says that she would be watching her own back if she did what Izzi did to Tatum Paxley. Meanwhile, Kelani moves back into the women's locker room, thinking less of Lola because of her own success, but Lola warns her that gymnastics is nothing compared to MMA.

Backstage, Shiloh Hill is talking with Skyler Raye about their recent happenings in NXT when Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace. Shiloh Hill thinks Stacks it talking about a real moose when Stacks mentions Moose, and this leads to Stacks going off on Shiloh. Skyler thinks that Stacks and Arianna have a problem, and Arianna takes exception to Skyler's response. This soon leads to Stacks challenging the two of them to a mixed tag match when DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) shows up and heads to the ring.

Leon Slater beats Myles Borne, Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox in a Fatal 4-Way Match to become the new #1 contender for the NXT Championship. After the match, Oba Femi shows up to raise the NXT Championship at the ramp while Tony D'Angelo watches from a distance from above the crowd.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 16, 2024

CM Punk heads to the ring to start tonight's show. CM Punk heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Punk sarcastically warns everyone to be careful when chanting his name as some people hate him, then says that he is a little low and in a bad news following his recent confrontation with Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Punk says he is mad because Rollins is right, and that it is only a matter of time before they both face off in the ring. He also says that his time on the microphone will be overshadowed by Rollins' sudden entrance. He says wearing Elton John sunglasses does not make one Elton John and that lacing up a pair of wrestling boots like him does not make one CM Punk, and while he admits to "ghosting" Rollins, he also considers Rollins his failure. Punk then says he is willing to give Rollins the biggest wrestling lesson of his life for free, and wants to know if Rollins is tougher than Drew McIntyre, who he calls "the last person to fill [his] shoes." He says that the Boston crowd does not think so and that there will not be enough staples to put him back together, then brings up the CM Punk chants during the seven years he was gone. Rollins shows up in the crowd to lead a "CM Punk" chant, then says it is a matter of perspective and that being the crowd might give him a new perspective, but ultimately concludes that "Even from here, [he's] still an asshole." Punk compliments Rollins for not coming out to his music and says he belongs in the crowd with the rest of the fans, but Rollins says he will always be a fan and put WWE on his back and made it stronger while Punk was gone. He also says that he has more WrestleMania main events than Punk ever will, and this leads to the both of them meeting in the crowd and brawling. Officials show up at the barricade to break the brawl up. The brawl makes its way to the ring as officials try to keep both Punk and Rollins apart, and even with Rollins still at ringside and Punk in the crowd, Rollins still goes after Punk. Security has to get involved at this point, as does General Manager Adam Pearce.



Backstage, Finn Balor wants to know where the rest of The Judgment Day (JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) was on Saturday Night's Main Event. Liv mentions have faith in Finn that night and also mentions being banned from ringside tonight, then tells Raquel and Dominik that she has something for them.

Backstage, General Manager Adam Pearce confronts Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, who wants his match with CM Punk. Pearce tells Rollins to give it a rest with Punk so he can actually do his job, then Drew McIntyre shows up. McIntyre says that getting over something is not easy when it stares you in the face, then says the two of them are not fooled by Roman Reigns and his Bloodline ("Main Event" Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn). Rollins says that this does not make them friends, and that he had friends on Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. He says respect, not common interests, make friends, and says that the jury is still out on McIntyre. He then says he has to do something McIntyre could not: end CM Punk.

Bron Breakker retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Ludwig Kaiser despite Kaiser targeting his left arm and shoulder throughout the match.



Backstage, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) are met by Rey Mysterio, who tells them that the entire locker room is angry with them because they crossed the line with Big E and that they will have to change somewhere else. Woods is unfazed and says they didn't want to share a locker room, anyway.

We look back on WrestleMania 14, which also took place in Boston, Massachusetts.

It is revealed that after Saturday Night's Main Event went off the area, Kevin Owens hit "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes with a cheap shot followed by a package piledriver. Cody can is put on a stretcher and into an ambulance as Owens holds up the WWE Undisputed Championship.

It is announced that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is resting and recuperating at home following Saturday Night's Main Event.

We hear from The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik), who says that they go to war with The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) tonight and that more than the tag team titles are on the line. They say that nobody will tell you what it is like to have injuries that all but ended their careers, then say they are stronger than ever and that every match could be their last and that their moment has to be now.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews General Manager Adam Pearce. Pearce announces that on January 6, 2025, Seth "Freakin'" Rollins and CM Punk will finally have their one-on-one match.

Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio head to the ring. Liv Morgan gets on her megaphone and says she is the best Women's World Champion of all time after Dominik gets booed out of the building, and says that 2024 has been her year. She says that nobody is hotter, dominant and ready to lead WWE into the future than her, then Rhea Ripley shows up. Rhea tells Liv that General Manager Adam Pearce has made it official that she is the number one contender for the Women's World Championship and that Liv's title reign will end. Rhea says she will be Women's World Champion while Liv Morgan is left with her "chicken tender slut."



Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins when Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre brawl in the background. Officials try to break the brawl almost immediately.



Backstage, The Miz tells Paul Ellering and The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) that he is proud of them, and when Karrion Kross and Scarlett show up, The Miz says they are done and they can go their separate ways. Kross says it is not over after all The Wyatt Sicks have done, and that The Miz will face Dexter Lumis in retaliation for kidnapping him next week. Ellering tells Miz that he saved him twice and that he owes them. Kross tells Miz to get with General Manager Adam Pearce to make the match, which Miz does. Rezar asks Kross if Miz can handle Lumis, and Kross says that when you make a deal with the devil, you don't run out on it.

Zoey Stark beats Kayden Carter and Raquel Rodriguez to advance in the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament after hitting Raquel with a missile drop kick as she goes for a Tejana Bomb on Kayden.



Backstage, R-Truth approves of Alpha Academy's (Otis, Akira Tozawa, Maxxine Dupri) recent commercial and credits them on changing his workout, calling Pete Dunne "Butch" in the process. Pete Dunne confronts R-Truth for calling him "Butch" again and threatens to break his jaw before Otis steps between them. Dunne leaves, saying this is R-Truth's last warning before walking off. R-Truth leaves, then American Made (Chad Gable, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivy Nile) confronts Alpha Academy for turning his former academy into a joke before calling them all "pathetic." Otis tells Gable to shut up, and Gable says "It's time to kill my darlings," and chooses to start with Tozawa.

We see a picture of a red slash going through the number zero.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods), who still have yet to find a locker room, when it is revealed that Pure Fusion Collective (Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler) have smashed Kairi Sane's hand with a road crate. Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky run out to help Kairi after Pure Fusion Collective leave.

The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) beat The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonagh) to become the World Tag Team Champions after Finn Balor grabs a metal folding chair only for Damian Priest - who is in disguise in the timekeeper's area - to keep him from taking it.

Winter Is Coming - Collision recap for December 16, 2023

We hear from Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, Claudio Castangoli, Andrade el Idolo, Brody King, "The American Nightmare" Bryan Danielson, and Orange Cassidy before tonight's show.

We are introduced to the Spanish announce team of Thunder Rosa and Alvaro Riojas.

Claudio Castagnoli beats Andrade el Idolo in the Blue League of the Continental Classic after sending Andrade knee-first into an exposed turnbuckle before hitting him low.



We see a video package of what happened in the Gold League in last Wednesday's Dynamite.

Abadon beats Jazmin Allure. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is in the ring. Julia puts the TBS Championship between herself and Abadon, then Abadon hits her with a Spear. This starts a brawl, and Abadon gets the upper hand. Abadon grabs the TBS Championship, but before they can attack Julia, Skye Blue gets behind them. Abadon and Skye Blue look at Abadon, then Skye Blue attacks Abadon with Julia Hart joining in. Suddenly, Thunder Rosa leaves the Spanish commentary table and fights Skye Blue. She and Abadon stand tall in the ring, then Thunder Rosa backs into Abadon before ultimately standing tall in the ring again.



Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says they are pissed off, and Max Caster says they want to know who attacked them while wanting nothing more to do with MJF after he put them in danger and did not care. Anthony Bowens says they are on a search-and-destroy mission while also being the best trio in AEW. All of a sudden, Action Andretti and Top Flight show up. Darius denies that they were the ones to attack them, and Dante could not help but answer their challenge as to who the best trio in AEW is, with Action Andretti saying they are game. Bowens accepts their challenge for Holiday Bash next week.

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against "The Outlaw" Bryan Keith with a three-quarters nelson roll-up.



We hear from Miro. He thought that wrestling poisoned CJ Perry, but maybe it has poisoned him. He says that he wanted to avoid people and drama for so long, but he is The Redeemer and he wants to kick Andrade el Idolo's ass, not because he is CJ Perry's client, but because Andrade is an asshole.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Komander. All of a sudden, Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) show up. Roderick Strong says Komander did not win and that this is not good before Matt Taven mentions becoming ROH Television Champion on his first night under contract. Roddy then says he wants to get back on the winning track, and that he has found his next victim in Komander.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) head to the ring. Cash Wheeler demands The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) meet them face-to-face if they have a problem with them, as they have a problem with their success while having the best run of their careers while The House of Black is "unrealized potential" and are mad with themselves. After Wheeler says that The House of Black knows where to find them, Dax Harwood says they may not be the most attractive or the flashiest, they do not back down from a fight, then the microphone cuts off. The lights go out, then Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews show up on the video screen. Buddy Matthews say they are not here to hurt FTR, but to prove that nobody in the back has their back and that nobody will save them. He then says everyone loves Harwood, and that only The House love and embraces him. Malakai Black says it hurts them personally when they have to be this aggressive to prove a point, then says that The House did not lie. Buddy then produces a picture of Harwood with his wife and daughter before Malakai sets it on fire. FTR rush to the back before Malakai says that The House is FTR's family now.



We see a video package chronicling the recent history between Keith Lee and Shane Taylor.

Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale beat Mercedes Martinez and Diamante in a Texas Street Fight.



Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mariah May. Toni Storm states she has no preference under who she wants to face, and Mariah May states that she will be debuting soon before asking Toni Storm to commentate. Toni says she will be busy, then says she will let her know when she has a seminar. She then tells Saraya and Riho to go at it to the point that they tear each other apart and that one of them is bald at the end.

We hear from Adam Copeland, who says that he is challenging Christian Cage for the TNT Championship in a no-disqualification match at Worlds End.

"The Machine" Brian Cage beats Kerry Wright.



Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Mogul Embassy. Brian Cage says it is time they get their flowers, and Prince Nana says that Swerve Strickland is about to win the Continental Classic. As The Mogul Embassy leave, Keith Lee shows up and tells them to tell "him" that his patience is running thin and that time is running out.

"Daddy Magic" Matt Menard guests on commentary for the next match.

Eddie Kingston beats Daniel Garcia in the Blue League of the Continental Classic to earn three points. Daniel Garcia is mathematically eliminated from winning the Blue League.



"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Brody King in the Blue League of the Continental Classic to earn three points.



Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 16, 2023

K-Toomer beats Jay Smooth. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says the Heritage Championship represents history and that none of this means without being a part of that written history, and he is here to write his. He then calls out King Cobra, saying they need to talk. After the commercial break, King Cobra shows up, and K-Toomer wants to know where he is following putting Mike Anthony down while Anthony was #1 contender to the Heritage Championship. After King Cobra says that K-Toomer is #1 contender, Mike Anthony shows up and says he was the #1 contender last time he checked, but K-Toomer says that last time he checked, he put Mike Anthony down. Mike Anthony threatens to sue King Cobra if he does not honor his #1 contendership just before "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up and declares himself the #1 contender. King Cobra makes both Mike Anthony and K-Toomer #1 contenders and puts all three men in a Triple Threat Match for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship, much to Mike Anthony's irritation. Mike Anthony hits K-Toomer in the back with a chair, and security has to stop Brett Michaels from going after him. Mike Anthony leaves, but not without hitting one of the security guards (who has played Waldo in the Halloween battle royal as well as at Brighton Brawl 2).





We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris). Simon says Christmas is upon us and that he loves the pretty colors, such as the greens, the white of the snow and especially blood red. He says that when The Posse returns, somebody is going to bleed. We then see Mr. Chris's burned face as he says that he will be home for Christmas.



Barnabas the Producer guests on commentary for the next match.

The Roberts Family Legacy (Cordale Roberts and Big Red) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont), much to the disappointment of Barnbas the Producer.



Backstage, Barnabas the Producer tells The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) that today's loss is just a temporary setback and that he has found their lucky rubber chickens. Lamont finally has enough, and he and Bradley then take all of Barnabas' chains, hat and durag before finally demanding his shoes as payment for pushing them towards failure. After The L.A. Hustlers leave, Barnabas loses it and realizes that they need Barnabas the Leader, not Barnabas the Producer.



Cassandra Golden and McKenzie Morgan beat "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx and Nixi XS by submission with a hold from Cassandra to Nixi XS.



Backstage, "Big Swole" Justin Cole and "Casanova" Colton Cage argue over "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo being the weak link in their team before Colton Cage proposes that Justin Cole and Mulitalo get in the ring one-on-one and hash out their differences so they can make the name they should have made for themselves in the Trios Tournament. Justin Cole tells Colton to tell Mulitalo to pack a lunch.



"Casanova" Colton Cage guests on commentary for the next match.

"Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole after "Casanova" Colton Cage slides into the ring and hits Justin Cole with a cutter from out of nowhere.



Backstage, King Cobra is on the phone saying some people have to grow up. Mikey overhears this, and this gives him an idea.



Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss at the announce desk. Blaylock says that the shenanigans going on in Memphis Wrestling with the petition to ban him are illegal, for he has a contract and he is not going anywhere. He says that not one wrestler had better sign that petition, but Dustin Starr reminds Blaylock that "All The Way" Ray Collins has signed that petition before Eric Young suddenly shows up. Eric Young says he has been here only long enough to know he does not lie Blaylock or Viciouss and that every wrestler in the back has signed that petition, and if they do not watch their mouths, he will also sign it. He then says that he and Viciouss have a match and that it is time to figure things out right now.



Eric Young beats Van Viciouss with a crucifix pin. During the match, "All The Way" Ray Collins shows up with a petition to ban "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock for the fans to sign. After the match, Eric Young signs the petition on Ray Collins' back.

They're On A Rampage - Rampage recap for December 16, 2022



Jon Moxley beats Sammy Guevara with the Bulldog Choke after avoiding a move from the top rope. (During the match, Sammy Guevara rips the earring out of Jon Moxley's ear, leading to bleeding in the ear and Jon Moxley nearly losing that ear.) After the match, Moxley calls out "Hangman" Adam Page, and Page shows up with Evil Uno, who is trying to hold Page back. Page and Moxley go at it, and security have to restrain both men. Page goes for a Buckshot Lariat and takes out a security guard. Page then clotheslines Moxley over the barricade, and both men are restrained again.



We hear from Saraya, who says she is watching the match for the AEW Women's World Championship between Hikaru Shida and Jamie Hayter and that Hayter and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. have been nothing but menaces. She says that she has a wealth of talent to pick her partner from, and says that they are both coming for Baker and Hayter.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) are in the ring. Cash Wheeler says he feels like they have let the fans down in the last couple of matches after the fans lifted them up all year and gave them the best year of their lives, and that they owe the fans for that. He says that 2022 is a legacy year and a year to be proud of, then says The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) have daddy issues and their attention. Wheeler says that if anyone will kill their legacy, it will not be "a couple of dumbass boys." Dax Harwood says that after their match at Final Battle, his daughter asked him why the crowd likes them, and he says that he has always wanted this since he was eight years old. He then says that The Gunns ruined their moment and that FTR is going to whip The Gunns' asses.



We hear from The Baddies. Jade Cargill tells Red Velvet to shape up or ship out, and says that if Bow Wow wants to get in her face, then "Smart" Mark Sterling will be in contact.

Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. beats Skye Blue. After the match, Britt puts the Lockjaw on Skye Blue, but Hikaru Shida shows up and strikes Rebel with the Kendo stick before doing the same to Britt Baker. Hikaru Shida and Jamie Hayter then have a staredown, and Hayter retreats.



We see footage of Jim Ross interviewing Preston Vance. He says that the rest of The Dark Order were not on his level and that Rush saw the same potential that Brodie Lee saw in him. He also says that -1 has become "a snot nosed brat" in the two years since his father died and that it is time for him to grow up.



Wardlow beats Exodus Prime. After the match, Wardlow says he has waited "too damn long" and that he is not waiting another second, then calls Samoa Joe out so he can whup him all over Dallas, Texas. Samoa Joe shows up on the video screen and says nobody dictates anything to "The King of Television" and that he will give Wardlow everything he wants on December 28th and leave him wanting.



Mark Henry interviews Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Orange Cassidy, Danhausen), Dustin Rhodes, The Butcher, The Blade, Trent Seven and Kip Sabian. The Butcher says he is sick of talking and waiting for someone to dial "1-800-SEE-YA" and wants to fight, and The Blade says they will slice, dice and split their opposition open and spill their guts. Dustin Rhodes asks to get a few words in, and Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor say there are not enough numbers in "1-800-SEE-YA."

Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta, Orange Cassidy, Danhausen) and Dustin Rhodes beat The Butcher, The Blade, Trent Seven and Kip Sabian. During the match, Penelope Ford gets in the ring so The Bunny gets involved, but Orange Cassidy drops to the mat and pretends to be kicked in the crotch. Penelope then gets in the ring, but so does Danhausen, who also pretends to be kicked in the crotch. This gets Penelope Ford and The Bunny ejected from the ring, and the same nearly happens to Danhausen.



Friday Night's Main Event - Main Event recap for December 16, 2022

Dana Brooke beats Briana Ray. (Briana Ray is actually independent wrestler Kylie Rae, who has also wrestled in Impact Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. She has recently underwent a WWE tryout at the time of this episode's taping.)

Backstage, Malik Blade and Edris Enofe are in the production truck when they run into Cedric Alexander and introduce themselves. As they talk, Mustafa Ali passes by, but he is more interested in his phone. Cedric Alexander thinks something is up.

Backstage, Cedric Alexander meets with Mustafa Ali, who says that two more new faces means less opportunities for the both of them. He says that he has had real opportunities slip away from him on Raw. Cedric says Mustafa is known for staring adversity in the face, but Mustafa asks Cedric if he is tired of doing the right things and wants to do something different, then says Cedric can do things the way he wants while he does things his own way.

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali - the latter in a more disgruntled mood during the match - beat Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. After the match, Mustafa Ali reluctantly shakes hands with Malik and Enofe.

THE NXT LVL - NXT LVL UP recap for December 16, 2022

The Dyad (Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid) beat Bronco Nima and Lucien Price.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Kelly Kincaid interviews Xyon Quinn and Javier Bernal. Bernal interrupts before Quinn can get a sentence in so he can talk about how he is a viral sensation and how Quinn is a "kindred spirit." Kelly Kincaid says Bernal has a point when she says they both share a certain confidence, then Quinn says they will get the win and show Andre Chase and Duke Hudson what they are all about, then asks Bernal if he has that "X-factor." Bernal says he has the X-factor, the Y-factor and the Z-factory, then Bernal asks if Quinn has a big body. Quinn is puzzled and says he is twice as big as Bernal after Bernal leaves, then he leaves. Kelly Kincaid can barely hold her laughter.

Ivy Nile beats Lash Legend with the Diamond Chain.



Andre Chase and Duke Hudson beat Xyon Quinn and Javier Bernal after Quinn and Bernal cannot get on the same page.



Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for December 16, 2022

The show begins with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and a cleaned-up Sami Zayn arriving at the arena.

Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) retain the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships against Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox after a black-clad figure in a hoodie attacks Tegan Nox from behind the barricade. (The black-clad figure is later revealed on social media to be Xia Li.)





We hear from Gunther, who says that he is here to defend "the grand prix of wrestling" in the Intercontinental Championship and that he is not impressed with Ricochet before promising to break him.



We hear from Ricochet, who says that he made good on winning the World Cup and says that while everyone has stated that Gunther already has the match won, he will do what he does best and flip the odds in his favor.



Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Sami Zayn go over Sami Zayn's wardrobe, then Sami Zayn asks where Solo Sikoa is. Solo Sikoa is revealed to be with Roman Reigns, then Sami Zayn leaves to take care of things. After he leaves, Jey Uso is convinced that Roman Reigns will make Sami Zayn "a full-blown Uce," but Jimmy feels Sami may be getting set up for a big disappointment.



A video from a recently-revealed QR code shows the aftermath of the attack on LA Knight. LA Knight is seen unconscious with a mask on and tape on his mouth, and a white gloved hand tells him to be quiet.

LA Knight is in the ring. Knight says he has been blindsided, cheap shotted, abducted and tied up in the last few weeks, but he is still knocking on Bray Wyatt's door. He acknowledges Bray Wyatt's WWE accomplishments, but says all Bray does is whine and cheap shot him. He says that he knows Bray Wyatt attacked him, then tells him to fight him in the ring so he can stomp him out. The arena soon gets dark, and Bray Wyatt soon shows up. Bray says he has missed Chicago, Illinois, but he is sick of LA Knight and the game that they keep playing, then says Knight is barking up the wrong tree and that he has not touched him. He then says that they both know how this story ends, and gives LA Knight one more chance to deliver his message and make it worth his while. LA Knight attacks Bray Wyatt, then Uncle Howdy shows up on the TitanTron and asks "What have you done?" He then asks "Do you want to see something really scary?" before Uncle Howdy shows up for real for the very first time. Uncle Howdy laughs, and LA Knight leaves the ring as Howdy's laughter echoes throughout the arena.



Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman are seen backstage.

Before the next match, WWE official Adam Pearce ejects Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser from ringside.

Gunther retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Ricochet. After the match, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser show up to help Gunther attack Ricochet again, but they and Gunther retreat when Braun Strowman runs into the ring. Strowman then helps Ricochet up.





Backstage, Jimmy Uso meets with Roman Reigns, and says that if Roman plans on making Sami "a full-blown Uce," he is with it, but at the same time, he loves the family. He says that if Roman does not want to do that, then he understands. Jimmy leaves, then Roman asks Paul Heyman to call WWE official Adam Pearce.

Backstage, WWE official Adam Pearce with Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman proposes a tag team title between the team of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn and the team of Kevin Owens and a partner of his choice. He also proposes that the match takes place in SmackDown in two weeks in Tampa Bay, Florida. Roman says Tampa is better than Chicago, Illinois, then Heyman says the match is a done deal.



Hit Row (Top Dolla and Ashante "Thee" Adonis) beat Legado del Fantasma (Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro) and The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to become #1 contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.



Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Raquel Rodriguez. She says that next week's battle royal to determine a #1 contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship is personal and that she wants payback for what happened to her and to Shotzi, then she is attacked by "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler and "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. Ronda holds down the left arm while Baszler kicks at it.



The Bloodline head to the ring. Roman Reigns brags about how The Bloodline dominated their WarGames Match before high-fiving everyone, then says "tonight is the night" and that tonight would be the night for Sami Zayn if it were not for "the Kevin Owens problem." He says that Kevin Owens will not stop stalking Sami Zayn and that a problem for Sami is a problem for him and for The Bloodline, and that he and Sami will team up against Kevin Owens and a partner of his choose and smash both of them. After Roman says nobody will see Kevin Owens again after this, Sami Zayn admits that Owens was his only friends and that Owens is indeed a problem. Suddenly, John Cena shows up on the TitanTron. John Cena says he loves a holiday surprise more than anyone and that he got a surprise text from Kevin Owens saying that Cena has not had a match this year before asking him to be his tag team partner. Cena accepts Owens' offer to be his tag team partner and bring the fight to The Bloodline in the final SmackDown of 2022.



This week on The SmackDown LowDown: "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler! Hit Row (B-Fab, Top Dolla, Ashante "Thee" Adonis)! Rey Mysterio! During Rey Mysterio's interview, Los Lotharios (Humberto Garcia and Angel Garza) show up and call Rey an embarassment to his son before saying that they sit on the sidelines so that Rey can feed his ego. This leads to Rey challenging one of them to a match next week to see who the embarassment is.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beats Rohit Raju despite Rohit Raju targeting his ribs during the match and the interference by Raj Singh.



Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) and The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson). Karl Anderson says that as tag team champions, everyone is gunning for him and Doc Gallows, and when Eric Young had a plan to take out the top contenders, they took it, but they do not trust Violent By Design. Doc Gallows says that he will keep their friends close and their enemies closers. Eric Young says trust is a tricky word and also impossible when you are at the top, then says that this is by design and that The Good Brothers will set the tone tonight and show what violence is all about.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Chelsea Green. Chelsea says that the Knockouts Ultimate X Match is historical and that she will be walking out as #1 contender, and when she does, Matt Cardona walk out as Impact World Champion. Moose suddenly shows up and wishes Chelsea luck, then says he was wrong about her before giving her props for sticking with a man who is and always will be a mid-carder. Chelsea notes that Moose is talking trash to her because he is scared of Cardona, and says she cannot wait for him to sign the title away in tonight's contract signing. Moose then mentions her wedding to Matt Cardona, saying it will be a short wedding even by wedding standards.



Joe Doering and "The Big LG" Doc Gallows beat Rich Swann and Willie Mack. Heath and Rhino accompany Swann and Mack to the ring before the match and stay in their corner throughout. After the match, Violent By Design and The Good Brothers attack Heath, Rhino, Swann and Mack, then Eddie Edwards runs into the ring with a Kendo stick and cleans house against Violent By Design and The Good Brothers.



Backstage, VSK and Zicky Dice talk about speaking to Brian Myers again before Zicky Dice mentions he has set up a match for them against Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus). VSK tells Zicky Dice that he had better be sober again, and Zicky promises not to drink any more...or less.

We hear from Jonah, who talks about how his father did a stint in prison and got popped in the back of the head and earned the respect of the dog. Jonah says Josh Alexander could have gotten his respect the same way, but he got back up. Jonah says he will beat Alexander again and again until he respects him, and says that if Josh Alexander is a walking weapon, then he is mass destruction.



Trey Miguel beats John Skyler. After the match, Trey is attacked from behind by Steve Maclin, who then lays Trey out with the X Division Championship before dragging him to the back.

After the commercial break, Trey Miguel wakes up bound with his eyes blindfolded and a rag in his mouth. He hears Steve Maclin says that being told "no" will not stop him, and says that if he can him like this, he can get him anywhere. Steve Maclin then says he thought Trey had more friends than this, but it looks like he is the only one.

Chris Bey beats Laredo Kid with a cutter on a mid-air Laredo Kid following a backflip off the top rope.



"The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo's appearance and challenge to Rok-C for the Ring Of Honor Women's World Championship at Final Battle is shown. We then see footage from earlier today where Mickie James is met by Deonna, and security guards stand by as Mickie and Deonna have a war of words. As Mickie heads further into the building, she is suddenly attacked from behind by Deonna, and security has to hold them back. Later, Scott D'Amore and Gail Kim meet with Mickie and Deonna. They reinstate a no-contact clause that also includes Matthew Rehwoldt, and Gail Kim states that they will settle things in a Texas Death Match, which Mickie likes the sound of.



We see a vignette for Masha Slamovich.

Tenille Dashwood beats Jessie McKay after Kaleb pulls the referee out of a pinfall attempt by Jessie, causing Cassie to slap Kaleb, Madison to hit Cassie and Jessie to hit Madison from behind only for Tenille to hit the Spotlight Kick for the win.



Scott D'Amore is in the ring to moderate a contract signing between Matt Cardona, W. Morrissey and Moose for the Impact World Championship match at Hard To Kill. W. Morrissey is introduced first, followed by Matt Cardona, followed by Moose. Matt Cardona is accompanied by Chelsea Green on the way to the ring. Scott D'Amore says that since Matt Cardona debuted in Impact, he has been here with a purpose, and that he has a chance to make that purpose a reality after one year by winning the world title. When D'Amore gives Cardona a chance to sign the contract, W. Morrissey takes it and says that everyone in the signing will use this as an opportunity to play mind games, but he is here to become world champion, not make friends or play games. Morrissey says at Hard To Kill, this is exactly what he will do, and then he signs the contract and leaves. Cardona says that Morrissey is not wrong, as the last few weeks have been trash talk, mind games and sneak attacks, and says there is nobody in the business who has been counted out and come back more times than him. He says that he is hard to kill and that his passion is impossible to kill, and while he is always ready, he is never mode ready than he has ever been for Hard To Kill. Cardona signs the contract. Moose asks Cardona if he really wants to step into the ring with the greatest world champion in all of professional wrestling, but Cardona says the more Moose delays this, the more he proves that he is scared Cardona will beat him. Moose says that Cardona will fail like he always does and prove he is always a mid-carder, then Cardona tells him to sign the contract. Moose signs the contract, then tells Cardona he has a tough challenge ahead of him. He also says Chelsea has a tough challenge ahead of him and mentions giving her props for her loyalty to Cardona, saying she sees so much in Cardona and thinks he could be a top guy in the business one day. He then says that he will crush their dreams and prove that Cardona will always be "Mid-Cardona", then asks Chelsea if she will stay with Cardona or leave like the whore she is. Cardona tries to attack Moose, but Moose lays Cardona out and puts him through the table. Cardona tries to attack Moose, but Moose lays Cardona out and puts him through the table. As Scott D'Amore yells at Moose, Moose heads back into the ring, pushes Chelsea down and punches Cardona before wrapping a chair around his head. Chelsea tries to stop Moose, but Moose pulls the chair away and shoves Chelsea back. Cardona gets up and swings a chair at Moose, but ends up hitting Chelsea instead. Referees, Cardona, D'Amore and security check on Chelsea as the show ends.





Generation NXT UK - NXT UK recap for December 16, 2021

Charlie Dempsey beats Joe Coffey with the Dragon Sleeper. During the match, Teoman and Rohan Raja show up to drag Dempsey to safety despite being barred from ringside, and Mark Coffey and Wolfgang confront them. This leads to a six-man brawl where Dempsey gets the advantage and locks in the Dragon Sleeper, getting the win after Joe Coffey fades.

We see a video package of Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) vs. Pretty Deadly (Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley) for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships from last week.



We hear from Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala, who congratulates Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) on winning the NXT UK Tag Team Championship before announcing that on the first show of 2022 in three weeks' time, Symbiosis (Primate and T-Bone) and the team of Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter will square off in an elimination match to help decide new #1 contenders for the NXT UK tag team titles. The following week, Die Familie (Teoman and Rohan Raja) will face the team of Jack Starz and "Bomber" Dave Mastiff in another elimination match to help decide new #1 contenders. The winners of these two matches will face off to determine new #1 contenders.

We hear from Jordan Devlin, who talks about his penthouse, his convertible and how he looks amazing while looking down on the fans who adore and worship him while saying he is more than Ilja Dragunov can ever be. He says that Dragunov is pathetic and needs the fans' love and approval as he fights for his family, then says all he needs is himself.



Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven) head to the ring. Trent Seven said he needed last night, as it has been a wild eighteen months and they are back. He says that there have been times where they have fell short, but there was a part of him that night that thought about what would happen if they did not win. Trent Seven then asks what he will do when they lose the NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and says that he has no idea how long he has left in the wrestling business before stating that as long as he has Tyler Bate and the tag team titles, he will fight for as long as it keeps to take the titles. Tyler Bate says he loves the sound of that, as it has been a long, difficult climb to the top and with the power of patience, hard work and the fans' energy, they are the first team to hold the tag team titles in NXT and NXT UK. Trent Seven also brings to attention Tyler Bate holding the NXT UK and Heritage Cup Champions, making him the first Grand Slam winner in NXT UK history. Trent Seven then thanks the fans for their support all this time, and says that from here, it is onwards and upwards.

We hear from Ashton Smith and Oliver Carter. Smith says the goal is the NXT UK tag team titles, and after Carter says he already has ice around his neck and wrist and that it is time to put gold around their waists to "make the fit complete," Carter said that now is their time.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport. Satomura says that Davenport never faced her in Japan, and that Davenport seeks the one match that eluded her in Japan. Satomura says that Davenport may be one of the best, but she cannot match her. Davenport says that Satomura is the foreigner in her country, and that when they meet in the ring, it will be a flawless victory for her.



In three weeks: Blair Davenport vs. Meiko Satomura for the NXT UK Women's Championship!

Before the next match, Kenny Williams tells Danny Jones to get out of the ring, as he wants Mark Andrews, not him. Danny Jones refuses, and Kenny says that if Danny wants to do things the hard way, so be it.

We hear from Symbiosis (Eddie Dennis, Primate, T-Bone). Eddie Dennis says last year's words belongs to last year's language, but next year's words need another voice. T-Bone says this is a new year and a new beginning, and things are going to change. Primate says that they will eventually return and lead the pack. Eddie Dennis says that voice is Symbiosis.

In backstage footage from during theweek, Kenny Williams reveals he has attacked Mark Andrews.

A-Kid beats Nathan Frazer in a Heritage Cup Rules Match two falls to one (2-1) to become #1 contender to the NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. Nathan Frazer scores the first fall with 1:12 (one minute, twelve seconds) left in Round 2 with a sit-down pinfall following a series of pinfall attempts between both men. A-Kid scores the second fall with 1:10 left in Round 4 following a running drop kick after tripping Nathan Frazer up on the ropes. A-Kid scores the third and deciding fall with 29 (twenty-nine) seconds left in Round 5 with an omoplata into an arm bar to become #1 contender for the NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for December 16, 2020

Johnny Gargano and Austin Theory - now officially known as "The Way" along with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell - beat Leon Ruff and KUSHIDA. After the match, Dexter Lumis is seen on a platform with a pen in his hand and an electronic easel in front of him.



We hear from Toni Storm, who talks about her rivalry with Rhea Ripley - and how she has "chased the nightmare out of the UK" - and that she only cares about herself now and that she will end their rivalry on her terms tonight.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Shotzi Blackheart. Shotzi says she is proud of her team for giving Candice LeRae's team a beating they barely survived, but says her rivalry with Candice is far from over, and after breaking Candice's arm, she will break her best friend.



Before the next match, Tommaso Ciampa lays a steel chair with a "Thatch As That Can Style Wrestling" T-Shirt on it at the bottom of the ramp.

Tommaso Ciampa beats Tyler Rust. During the match, Timothy Thatcher shows up to get a closer look at the match, but he is hit with an inadvertent big boot by Tyler Rust that is ducked by Ciampa. This gets Thatcher angry at Ciampa, and multiple referees have to show up to escort Thatcher to the back. After the match, Thatcher shows up again, being held back by three referees.



We hear from Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake). Zack Gibson says there is nothing more important than momentum, and while there are a slew of new tag teams, they are still the best tag team around.



We see a vignette for Karrion Kross, who says that no matter where the time is told, everybody pays the toll, and that doomsday is still coming.

In footage from during the break, Malcolm Bivens is seen talking to Tyler Rust, telling him that he is a star. Bivens and Rust fist bump, then head to the back.

Dexter Lumis is seen drawing the logo for NXT New Year's Evil on the platform.

Kyle O'Reilly beats Pete Dunne to face Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at New Year's Evil. Before the match begins, Drake Maverick and Killian Dain show up to attack Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch, as does Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango), who have not been seen in some time. Everyone outside of the ring is forced to the back, while Pete Dunne and Kyle O'Reilly go at it as soon as the bell rings.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Rhea Ripley, who says that Raquel Gonzalez is a different animal all by herself. She also says she and Toni Storm have history, and that regardless of who has changed, she will finish Toni Storm once and for all.



We see Xia Li and Boa go through even more torture, with Xia Li striking Boa to the point that he is bloodied and bruised.



Shotzi Blackheart beats Indi Hartwell after Hartwell gets caught using a trophy as a weapon while Candice LeRae distracts the referee. After the match, Candice and Hartwell hit Shotzi with the Wicked Stepsister.



We see another vignette for Karrion Kross, who says that doomsday is still coming and that God help the obstacles that are in his path.

We see a video package for Bronson Reed, who returns next week.

Karrion Kross beats Desmond Troy with the Kross Jacket in his first match in three months.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, who says that he has been around longer and working harder than Jake Atlas, and that he will win their rematch next week. After Swerve leaves, Ever-Rise shows up and says that their loss to Grizzled Young Veterans is unfair and that it should be stricken from the record.



Dexter Lumis' finished artwork is displayed, which reveals that he will be the host for NXT New Year's Evil.

We hear from Finn Balor, who says that Kyle O'Reilly is an underdog who belongs in the ring with him, and still lost despite breaking his jaw. He says that O'Reilly will suffer, and that it will be the end when they face off again.



Damian Priest vs. Karrion Kross is official for NXT New Year's Evil.

Toni Storm beats Rhea Ripley after Raquel Gonzales shows up and sends Ripley into the ring post.

Matt Hardy and Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beat "Hangman" Adam Page and The Dark Order (Alex "3" Reynolds and John "4" Silver) after Hardy tags himself in for the pinfall following the Gin and Juice by Private Party.



Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews The Inner Circle. Chris Jericho and MJF agree that The Dinner Debonaire was great as he brags about retaining the Dynamite Diamond Ring, then says that The New York Times got one thing wrong as they named The Dinner Debonaire the best performance of 2020: he could not have done this without Jericho, who he says is the better performer as well as a mentor, the "G.O.A.T." and his best friend. He says that he could not have done this without Jericho or the rest of The Inner Circle.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes are decorating their Christmas tree when they find a package at their doorstep. Inside is a pair of baby shoes and a note stating that they are expecting a new baby in 2021. Meanwhile, Pharoah stands to the side with a "Baby Security (In Training)" bandanna around his neck.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Angelico. After the match, Team Taz shows up. Taz congratulates Cody on his victory and his new child, then Ricky Starks says nobody got any congratulations when they beat Cody and Darby Allin. Taz says that "The Machine" Brian Cage will make mincemeat out of Darby and that Team Taz will put Cody on maternity leave. Before Team Taz can even head to the ring, Sting shows up and pulls out a baseball bat. Powerhouse Hobbs has to be held back as Team Taz leaves. Sting then winks at Cody before leaving.





Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Miro, who has been fined $75,000 for laying out three staff members. Miro says Orange Cassidy does not care about anything, and says that Orange Cassidy owes him $75,000. He says that there will be a huge announcement next week, but before he breaks the Internet once again, he will face Sonny Kiss on Dark before making the big announcement regarding "Superbad" Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford's wedding. When asked about the three people he put in the hospital, Miro simply says "Bah humbug! It's my birthday."

Eddie Kingston shows up. After stating he does not care about any of the fans, he says that he has a lot of enemies, including God and PAC. He says that PAC is nursing his injuries back home and is not coming back, as his career is done. Eddie then addresses Lance Archer, who immediately shows up and attacks him. The Butcher and The Blade run in to the ring, and they and Eddie have to gang up on Archer to overpower him. Suddenly, The Lucha Bros. (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) show up, and PAC soon joins them. The three of them fight Eddie, The Butcher and The Blade alongside Lance Archer and quickly clean house. When Archer goes for a choke slam on Eddie, PAC hits Eddie in the face with a pump kick. Despite taking exception to this, Archer stands alongside PAC, Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix.



Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes. Rhodes says he has thought about The Dark Order's offer, then says "Seven" was a bad idea years ago and a bad idea last week, and tells Evil Uno that he was dead wrong calling him "the third-least most important member of the Rhodes family" and that he will kick his ass next week like he kicked Preston "10" Vance's ass.

Orange Cassidy guests on commentary for the next match (despite his headset not being plugged in).

The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, MJF, Santana, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager) beat Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent), Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and The Varsity Blonds (Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr.) in a twelve-man tag team match. After teh match, The Inner Circle continue to go on the attack, but Top Flight cleans out the ring.



Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Thunder Rosa, who tells Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. that she has wrestled all over the world and that it is her fault she lost last week. She then says she is beating her ass because she does belong in AEW. Suddenly, Reba shows up to stand up for Baker, who attacks Thunder Rosa from behind before she and Reba mess up Thunder Rosa's face paint. Baker then jokingly asks if the camera is still working or if it is ruined by Thunder Rosa's "ugly" face.

Before the next match, Frankie Kazarian answers The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens)'s pre-match diss track, asking them if they are The Acclaimed or Men On A Mission.

The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) beat SoCal Uncensored ("The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian) after Caster uses the boombox as a weapon as the referee is not looking. After the match, Caster tells The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) that he and Bowens want a tag team title match, and Bowens challenges them to one next week.



Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin). Darius says that they made the save earlier tonight because The Inner Circle found out a lot about them in their match, and challenge Chris Jericho and MJF to a tag team match, telling them they can either accept their challenge or "run away like two little bitches."

Serena Deeb and Big Swole beat Ivelisse and Diamante with a Cloverleaf from Big Swole to Diamante. After the match, Vickie Guerrero shows up with "The Native Beast" Nyla Rosa and they both attack Serena and Big Swole with Ivelisse and Diamante. Suddenly, Red Velvet shows up with a steel chair and strikes Nyla Rose from behind before clearing out the ring.



Backstage, we hear from Best Friends (Chuck Taylor, Trent, Orange Cassidy). Taylor tells Santana and Ortiz that it will never be over between them, but for now, they have other things to attend to. Trent addressses Miro sabotaging Orange Cassidy's match last week, saying that Cassidy had the match won and and tell Miro they will be at Holiday Bash next week.

We see a video package of Jurassic Express (Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy, Marko Stunt), who will face The Dark Order (Colt Cabana, Alan "5" Angels, Preston "10" Vance) next week.

FTR (Dash Harwood and Cash Wheeler) show up at the announce table, asking if the tag team division still matters when the "sideshow team" is being shown while feeling that their ability to put food on their tables is being threatened.

Before the next match, Don Callis says that nobody calls a Kenny Omega match like he can and tells Tony Schiavone to give him his headset and go to catering. Schavione responds by saying "Kiss my ass...get outta here." This does not stop Don callis from calling the match on a live microphone, nor does it stop Omega from joining in.

Kenny Omega beats "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela. After the match, Don Callis says the haters have been silenced and that there are no more questions for the AEW World Champion. Suddenly, The Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero M, Rey Fenix) shows up and PAC says he and Omega have unfinished business and that they are here to address injustice, mentioning that Rey Fenix took part in the World Title Eliminator Tournament and never lost and asking how Omega became the rightful champion. Callis asks PAC if he got some sort of executive promotion while he and Omega made history, then says that wrestlers don't tell the world champion what to do. PAC tells Callis he has already talked to Tony Khan and that Omega will defend the AEW World Championship against Rey Fenix next week. Omega is furious.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for December 16, 2019

Seth Rollins shows up to start tonight's show. Rollins introduces AOP (Akam and Rezar) as "the first two men to stand on the right side of history" as he introduces them into the ring. Rollins says that when he debuted for NXT, everyone was saying that he was the future, and when he showed up on Raw, they said the same thing, and until he beat Brock Lensar twice this year, they still said the same thing. He then mentions that the mood suddenly changed and everyone started to question his leadership as if he had done something wrong, and says being a leader is not about being cool or popular, but about making progress. He says that what happened to Kevin Owens is a tragedy, but that he brought it upon himself and was made an example out of. Rollins says he will continue to tell the truth, and says that he is a leader. Rollins says he is also a visionary, and that he will be the man who leads Raw and the business into the next decade and beyond. He then says that whether the people like it or not, he will drag the fans into 2020 and impose his will, and if anyone resists, AOP will enforce his will. Rollins then says that he has a score to settle, and by the end of the night, it will be settled, and the fans will not like it. He says that for what has to be done tonight, he is sorry. Rollins then leaves with AOP.



Before the next match, Karl Anderson says The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) will be the first to admit that The Viking Raiders are the first unstoppable tag team to hit WWE in decades, then says that they are the only ones to beat The Viking Raiders. He then says that last night, The Viking Raiders sacrificed themselves to make sure they did not lose to The O.C. two times in a row, and Luke Gallows says that while The Viking Raiders are tag team champs, they are the best in the world.

The O.C. (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) beat The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik).



In footage from last week, Erick Rowan tells Sarah Schreiber to mind her business when it comes to what is in the cage that he carries.

Backstage, The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) celebrate their victory from earlier, then AJ Styles says that he wants to take care of Randy Orton on his own and end his career tonight.

Erick Rowan beats Dante Leon after Leon looks under the cage.



Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Andrade. Andrade speaks in Spanish, then Zelina Vega says that Humberto Carrillo's two victories against Andrade will be the worst thing to ever happen to him.

We see another vignette for "The Liv Morgan Makeover."



Bobby Lashley and Lana show up. Lana says that she knows everybody has been following her Instagram, then announces that Lashley defeated Rusev at TLC. She says that nobody will ever compared to Lashley, and as Lana admires Lashley, the fans chant "Rusev Day." Lana says she and Lashley are trying to move on and that Rusev Day is dead, then continues to admire Lashley. Lana then produces a black ring box from her sleeves and asks Lashley to propose to her. Lashley says he doesn't like when anyone tells him what to do, unless it is Lana, then proposes to Lana. Lana says yes and that everything went exactly as rehearsed, then she and Lashley make out in the ring.

Before the next match, R-Truth he would not be in WWE if it were not for his childhood hero, John Cena, and says that he was inspired by his United States Open Challenge every Saturday morning and plans to hold the 24/7 and United States titles simultaneously. He states that he will take both titles to WrestleMania, then points at a non-existent WrestleMania sign before asking where the sign is at.

A gauntlet match between Andrade, R-Truth, Akira Tozawa, Matt Hardy, Ricochet and Humberto Carrillo to determine a #1 contender for the WWE United States Championship ends in controversy. After R-Truth is eliminated, a few Superstars chase him through the crowd over the WWE 24/7 Championship. When Andrade enters the match, he exposes the concrete floor and hits Carrillo with a hammerlock DDT on the exposed concrete. Rey Mysterio shows up and checks on Carrillo as Andrade and Zelina Vega leave through the crowd. No winner is declared











As Humberto Carrillo is taken away on a stretcher, Seth Rollins shows up with a metal pipe and flanked by AOP (Akam and Rezar), who attack Rey Mysterio. Rollins tells Rey he only wants to give his pipe back to him, and lays it on the mat. When Rey takes the pipe, AOP continue to attack Rey. Rollins tells Rey it did not have to be this way, but he gave Kevin Owens his pipe to attack him. He says that he is not for retribution and that he is a merciful leader, and tells Rey he owes him one. As AOP and Rollins leave, Rollins hits Rey with The Stomp.



Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins, who says that he is a leader and leads by example. He says that the score was settled and that Rey would not be able to answer his challenge if he sent him to the hospital. Rollins says it is time to establish dominance, and challenges Rey for the WWE United States Championship next week.

We hear from Randy Orton, who says that AJ Styles needs to remember that this is Raw, not SmackDown, and that he will remind him of who he is with an RKO.

Asuka beats Deonna Purrazzo with the Asuka Lock.



Charly Caruso interviews Becky Lynch. Becky says that she has been off the last few months due to being in the tag team position, and while she at first felt the powers that be were trying to bury her, she has realized that they are protecting her against Asuka because they don't think she can win. She says she did not come here to be shielded, for she is still the best after how 2019 has gone for her. She then tells Asuka that she needs her, as she is the one person she has not been able to beat and she needs that to change in order to prove something to herself.



The Butler Family are the recipients of the Cricket Wireless Seat Upgrade.

We hear from Rey Mysterio, and while he has no problem defending the United States title against Andrade, he has a problem with Andrade injuring Humberto Carrillo. He then says that Seth Rollins only started a fight tonight, and showed why nobody respects him. Rey then accepts Rollins' challenge for the United States title.

Randy Orton beats "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. After the match, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attack Orton, but The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) show up to fight Gallows and Anderson. The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) overpower Orton and The Viking Raiders, and the show ends with a Magic Killer on Erik.

TLC 2018 - The LIVE Results



Backstage, General Manager-Elect asks Jojo to announce his name with more enthusiasm when he wins tonight. Charly Caruso shows up and mentions that Braun Strowman may be showing up tonight. Corbin says that even if he were here, he would still shatter his good elbow, and that Strowman will not show. He also says he will not listen to rumors, as it is beneath him.

Buddy Murphy retains the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Cedric Alexander.



Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Becky Lynch, who says that she has no problem with Asuka bringing the fight to her and that she will rip both her and Charlotte Flair's heads off. She says that the odds are against her, but she is fighting on anyway. She says that neither Woman's title has never headlined a dual-branded PPV, and with both brands backstage, she is going to walk around backstage and collect receipts, as there are debts to be repaid when The Man comes around.

Elias is in the ring. He says that guitars may as well be added to the tables, ladders and chairs for tonight, and having climbed the ladder to stardom once already, he is now climbing the ladder to one of his prized guitars tonight. Once he does, he will play a tune on Bobby Lashley that he will never forget. He then decided to play "Do You Know The Way To San Jose?" for the San Jose, California crowd. Before he can get started, however, Lashley and Lio Rush show up. Lio Rush says that Elias is once again sadly mistaken, saying nobody came to see him; instead, everyone came to see Lashley. This starts the Ladder Match.

Elias beats Bobby Lashley in a Ladder Match despite interference attempts by Lio Rush. After the match, Elias prepares to swing his guitar at Lashley, but Lio Rush gets on top of him. Elias gets Rush off him, but Lashley takes him down and commands Lio to hit the frog splash. Lashley then smacks the guitar into Elias' back.





The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella) beat Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox) with a Code of Silence to Alicia Fox. R-Truth and Carmella will now be #30 in their respective Royal Rumble matches and will win a free all expenses paid trips to anywhere in the world. Kayla Braxton interviews The Fabulous Truth after the match, and upon the announcement that destinations have to be sent in ahead of time before the match, R-Truth announces they are going to WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut for their vacation. Carmella is less than enthused.



The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.



It is announced that WWF Chairman Vince McMahon will return to Raw tomorrow night.

Before the next match, Baron Corbin says he understands there have been complains about his performance at General Manager-Elect and that he takes them seriously and that he listens to the fans. He then tells the fans that's too bad about the complaints, and after referee Heath Slater counts to ten, he will beat Braun Strowman by forfeit. Heath counts, and Corbin counts with him, but at the count of six, Strowman shows up with his right arm in a sling. Strowman takes the microphone and tells Corbin that he forgot to mention something very important: there are no disqualifications in a TLC Match. If someone sick and tired of Corbin wants to help him, it is perfectly legal. All of a sudden, Apollo Crews shows up with a steel chair, as does Bobby Roode, Chad Gable and Finn Balor, who also have steel chairs. Referee Heath Slater also takes his referee's shirt off and throws it at him, and all five men gang up on Corbin. Corbin retreats, and when he makes his way to the stage, Kurt Angle shows up. Angle picks up a steel chair and attacks Corbin as soon as Corbin charges at him, and drives him back into the ring. Everyone then begins to get their offense in on Baron Corbin one by one, then Slater puts his shirt on so that Strowman can cover Corbin for the win. Braun Strowman beats Baron Corbin and earns a shot at the WWE Universal Championship at Royal Rumble, and Baron Corbin is no longer Raw General Manager. (Had Corbin won, he would have become permanent Raw General Manager.)

Natalya beats Ruby Riott in a Tables Match after pulling out a table with Ruby Riott's image pasted on it and powerbombing her through it from the middle rope. During the match, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan are also put through tables by Natalya.



Finn Balor beats Drew McIntyre. During the match, Dolph Ziggler superkicks Drew McIntyre at ringside behind referee John Cone's back, and comes at him with a steel chair only to get it booted into his face. McIntyre enters the ring with the chair to hurt Ziggler some more, but Finn Balor runs up to McIntyre, drop kicks the chair into his chest and hits the Coup De Grace for the win.



Rey Mysterio beats Randy Orton in a Chairs Match with a victory roll off a chair.



Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Finn Balor when Dolph Ziggler shows up and tells Finn he should be grateful. Finn teels Ziggler he should stay out of his business, and this leads to Ziggler tossing Finn into a bunch of crates.

"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey retains the WWE Raw Women's Championship against Nia Jax with an arm bar despite the distraction from Tamina.



Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Nia Jax, but Nia refuses the interview. Suddenly, she is met by Becky Lynch. Becky attacks her for breaking her face, and tells Nia to keep her name out of her mouth.

Dasha Fuentes interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who says that "The New" Daniel Bryan may do whatever takes to win, but there is no difference between the new and the old and that they are both beatable. He has a Phenomenal Forearm with Bryan's name on it, and after playing his game and letting him push his buttons for so long, it's time that Bryan plays his.

"The New" Daniel Bryan retains the WWE Championship against "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles with an inside cradle to counter one from Styles.



Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey, who - on the subject of Becky Lynch - says that payback is a bitch and that she is the baddest bitch on the planet.

Tomorrow night on Raw: Finn Balor vs. Dolph Ziggler!

Earl Mitchell and George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers are seen in the front row with Connor's Cure cleats, which are currently up for auction on the Connor's Cure website.

Dean Ambrose beats Seth Rollins to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion after toying with Seth Rollins' emotions during the match by trying to make up with him only to make Rollins lose control of himself.



Asuka beats Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat TLC Match to become the WWE SmackDown Women's Champion after "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey shows up and tips over the ladder that Charlotte and Becky are fighting each other on.

Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for December 16, 2017

The Addiction ("The Almighty" Christopher Daniels and "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Frankie Kazarian) beat Coast To Coast (Shaheem Ali and LSG). After the match, LSG says the same thing happens over and over. They have been in ROH for a year, but they have accomplished nothing and failed at every opportunity. They have not won one match that matters, and when he asks what they have to do, Shaheem Ali takes the microphone and says they have to win their match, or else they shouldn't be doing this. He then tells LSG "One more match...do or die."

Shane Taylor beats Eli Isom by referee stoppage after he knocks Isom out with a right hand to Isom's face.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) will be facing Rocky Romero and Best Friends (Trent Baretta and Chuckie T) tonight. They then say that they are bringing their best friend, then "The Villain" Marty Scurll shows up. The Bucks tell Scurll it's not him, and Scurll walks away. They then bring out "The Clearner" Kenny Omega out from behind them.

It's time for Coleman's Pulpit. This week's guest is Brandi Rhodes. Brandi talks about her role in WAGS Atlanta, debuting January 3rd. When asked about her career, Brandi does not think that beng married to "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes gives her an edge. She also takes about being a figure skater for 17 years before becoming a professional wrestler. Coleman proposes bringing Brandi Rhodes back when she gets her first ROH win, and Brandi proposes signing an autograph after WAGS Atlanta finishes its first season.

Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "The Cleaner" Kenny Omega) beat Rocky Romero and Best Friends (Trant Baretta and Chuckie T) with the Cease and Desist on Rocky Romero.
