Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 16, 2023

K-Toomer beats Jay Smooth. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says the Heritage Championship represents history and that none of this means without being a part of that written history, and he is here to write his. He then calls out King Cobra, saying they need to talk. After the commercial break, King Cobra shows up, and K-Toomer wants to know where he is following putting Mike Anthony down while Anthony was #1 contender to the Heritage Championship. After King Cobra says that K-Toomer is #1 contender, Mike Anthony shows up and says he was the #1 contender last time he checked, but K-Toomer says that last time he checked, he put Mike Anthony down. Mike Anthony threatens to sue King Cobra if he does not honor his #1 contendership just before "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up and declares himself the #1 contender. King Cobra makes both Mike Anthony and K-Toomer #1 contenders and puts all three men in a Triple Threat Match for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship, much to Mike Anthony's irritation. Mike Anthony hits K-Toomer in the back with a chair, and security has to stop Brett Michaels from going after him. Mike Anthony leaves, but not without hitting one of the security guards (who has played Waldo in the Halloween battle royal as well as at Brighton Brawl 2).

We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris). Simon says Christmas is upon us and that he loves the pretty colors, such as the greens, the white of the snow and especially blood red. He says that when The Posse returns, somebody is going to bleed. We then see Mr. Chris's burned face as he says that he will be home for Christmas.

Barnabas the Producer guests on commentary for the next match.

The Roberts Family Legacy (Cordale Roberts and Big Red) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont), much to the disappointment of Barnbas the Producer.

Backstage, Barnabas the Producer tells The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) that today's loss is just a temporary setback and that he has found their lucky rubber chickens. Lamont finally has enough, and he and Bradley then take all of Barnabas' chains, hat and durag before finally demanding his shoes as payment for pushing them towards failure. After The L.A. Hustlers leave, Barnabas loses it and realizes that they need Barnabas the Leader, not Barnabas the Producer.

Cassandra Golden and McKenzie Morgan beat "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx and Nixi XS by submission with a hold from Cassandra to Nixi XS.

Backstage, "Big Swole" Justin Cole and "Casanova" Colton Cage argue over "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo being the weak link in their team before Colton Cage proposes that Justin Cole and Mulitalo get in the ring one-on-one and hash out their differences so they can make the name they should have made for themselves in the Trios Tournament. Justin Cole tells Colton to tell Mulitalo to pack a lunch.

"Casanova" Colton Cage guests on commentary for the next match.

"Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole after "Casanova" Colton Cage slides into the ring and hits Justin Cole with a cutter from out of nowhere.

Backstage, King Cobra is on the phone saying some people have to grow up. Mikey overhears this, and this gives him an idea.

Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss at the announce desk. Blaylock says that the shenanigans going on in Memphis Wrestling with the petition to ban him are illegal, for he has a contract and he is not going anywhere. He says that not one wrestler had better sign that petition, but Dustin Starr reminds Blaylock that "All The Way" Ray Collins has signed that petition before Eric Young suddenly shows up. Eric Young says he has been here only long enough to know he does not lie Blaylock or Viciouss and that every wrestler in the back has signed that petition, and if they do not watch their mouths, he will also sign it. He then says that he and Viciouss have a match and that it is time to figure things out right now.

Eric Young beats Van Viciouss with a crucifix pin. During the match, "All The Way" Ray Collins shows up with a petition to ban "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock for the fans to sign. After the match, Eric Young signs the petition on Ray Collins' back.
