Winter Is Coming - Collision recap for December 16, 2023

We hear from Eddie Kingston, Daniel Garcia, Claudio Castangoli, Andrade el Idolo, Brody King, "The American Nightmare" Bryan Danielson, and Orange Cassidy before tonight's show.

We are introduced to the Spanish announce team of Thunder Rosa and Alvaro Riojas.

Claudio Castagnoli beats Andrade el Idolo in the Blue League of the Continental Classic after sending Andrade knee-first into an exposed turnbuckle before hitting him low.

We see a video package of what happened in the Gold League in last Wednesday's Dynamite.

Abadon beats Jazmin Allure. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is in the ring. Julia puts the TBS Championship between herself and Abadon, then Abadon hits her with a Spear. This starts a brawl, and Abadon gets the upper hand. Abadon grabs the TBS Championship, but before they can attack Julia, Skye Blue gets behind them. Abadon and Skye Blue look at Abadon, then Skye Blue attacks Abadon with Julia Hart joining in. Suddenly, Thunder Rosa leaves the Spanish commentary table and fights Skye Blue. She and Abadon stand tall in the ring, then Thunder Rosa backs into Abadon before ultimately standing tall in the ring again.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says they are pissed off, and Max Caster says they want to know who attacked them while wanting nothing more to do with MJF after he put them in danger and did not care. Anthony Bowens says they are on a search-and-destroy mission while also being the best trio in AEW. All of a sudden, Action Andretti and Top Flight show up. Darius denies that they were the ones to attack them, and Dante could not help but answer their challenge as to who the best trio in AEW is, with Action Andretti saying they are game. Bowens accepts their challenge for Holiday Bash next week.

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW International Championship against "The Outlaw" Bryan Keith with a three-quarters nelson roll-up.

We hear from Miro. He thought that wrestling poisoned CJ Perry, but maybe it has poisoned him. He says that he wanted to avoid people and drama for so long, but he is The Redeemer and he wants to kick Andrade el Idolo's ass, not because he is CJ Perry's client, but because Andrade is an asshole.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Komander. All of a sudden, Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) show up. Roderick Strong says Komander did not win and that this is not good before Matt Taven mentions becoming ROH Television Champion on his first night under contract. Roddy then says he wants to get back on the winning track, and that he has found his next victim in Komander.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) head to the ring. Cash Wheeler demands The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) meet them face-to-face if they have a problem with them, as they have a problem with their success while having the best run of their careers while The House of Black is "unrealized potential" and are mad with themselves. After Wheeler says that The House of Black knows where to find them, Dax Harwood says they may not be the most attractive or the flashiest, they do not back down from a fight, then the microphone cuts off. The lights go out, then Malakai Black and Buddy Matthews show up on the video screen. Buddy Matthews say they are not here to hurt FTR, but to prove that nobody in the back has their back and that nobody will save them. He then says everyone loves Harwood, and that only The House love and embraces him. Malakai Black says it hurts them personally when they have to be this aggressive to prove a point, then says that The House did not lie. Buddy then produces a picture of Harwood with his wife and daughter before Malakai sets it on fire. FTR rush to the back before Malakai says that The House is FTR's family now.

We see a video package chronicling the recent history between Keith Lee and Shane Taylor.

Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale beat Mercedes Martinez and Diamante in a Texas Street Fight.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Timeless" Toni Storm and Mariah May. Toni Storm states she has no preference under who she wants to face, and Mariah May states that she will be debuting soon before asking Toni Storm to commentate. Toni says she will be busy, then says she will let her know when she has a seminar. She then tells Saraya and Riho to go at it to the point that they tear each other apart and that one of them is bald at the end.

We hear from Adam Copeland, who says that he is challenging Christian Cage for the TNT Championship in a no-disqualification match at Worlds End.

"The Machine" Brian Cage beats Kerry Wright.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Mogul Embassy. Brian Cage says it is time they get their flowers, and Prince Nana says that Swerve Strickland is about to win the Continental Classic. As The Mogul Embassy leave, Keith Lee shows up and tells them to tell "him" that his patience is running thin and that time is running out.

"Daddy Magic" Matt Menard guests on commentary for the next match.

Eddie Kingston beats Daniel Garcia in the Blue League of the Continental Classic to earn three points. Daniel Garcia is mathematically eliminated from winning the Blue League.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Brody King in the Blue League of the Continental Classic to earn three points.
