Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 2, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews Ray Ray Sanders at the announce desk. Ray Ray Sanders, who is holding both of the tag team titles, announces that Derrick King will no longer compete in Memphis Wrestling due to medical reasons, and while he will recover, he does not know if he should forfeit the titles or defend the titles himself. After showing a fan-taken picture of himself and Derrick King with the titles and declaring that he will defend the titles himself, Ellsworth Enterprises ("The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx, Matt Williams, Storybook Prince Gaston) shows up. Matt Williams says that if he going to do that, he might as well do it today. Ray Ray says he will do it today and fight tooth and nail to defend the titles for the fans and for Derrick King.

We see footage from Grind City Wrestling of Dustin Starr interviewing Tim Bosby, who says that he has matured and that he wants to prove he is one of the best, and to do that, he has to face the best. He says that he has been watching "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander since middle school, and that Alexander would make for a good match before calling Alexander out.

Van Viciouss beats Denzel Rollins with the curb stomp followed by the Camel Clutch. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss at the announce desk. Blaylock chews out the fans for signing the petition to oust him from Memphis Wrestling and says he has a contract. He states that if any of the wrestlers in the back sign the petition, he promises that there will be hell to pay in the form of Van Viciouss. Viciouss says that anyone who makes the mistake, they will pay, for they run Memphis.

We hear from The Posse (Simon and Mr. hris). Simon says that he is thankful that Memphis Wrestling has protected the fans from them, but at the same time, nobody protected him when he was chained and beaten with a chair or when Mr. Chris got a fireball thrown at him. He says that Memphis Wrestling protects everyone from The Posse while nobody protects The Posse, and while 2023 has been "kinda shitty," they are bringing hell with them in 2024.

We see Justin Case and The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) on the way to the WrestleCenter. Aaron Roberts hopes the rings are bigger this year and that they are coming for the Trios Championships.

The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) beat the team of "Big Swole" Justin Cole, "Casanova" Colton Cage and "Astonishing" Austin Molitalo and team of The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) to win the Memphis Trios Tournament and become the Memphis Wrestling Trios Champions after Justin Cole and Austin Molitalo argue with each other and refuse to work together while Big John Dalton shows up and steals Reverend Ash Taylor's collection plate, causing Reverend Ash Taylor to chase after Big John Dalton.

Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Phil plan to make the WrestleCenter "The Main Event Bradley MegaCenter." When Phil asks Brad why he is not in gear, Brad says he has bigger fish to fry in the form of a title match with "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and that he has a partner already set for him. Brad leaves, and Phil asks how to undo the straitjacket.

The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat Phil - now known as Big Nasty Phil - and J. Webb as Webb and Phil completely fail to get along.

Backstage, Ray Ray Sanders is on the phone, saying he will do everything he can to keep the tag team titles and that if he has to fight by himself, he will.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn. Will Gibson is the referee for this match. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk. He says that while two men are eyeballing his championship, he has beaten both of them. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up and says Brett did not beat him; he only survived him. K-Toomer says he is coming for the Heritage Championship, and while there is nothing but respect between them, when they are in the ring, it is "Blackout Force Energy."

We hear from Mike Anthony, who is in an abandoned building with a metal folding chair. Mike Anthony laughs at he knows K-Toomer is thinking and that K-Toomer is only number one in the streets while he is the true number one contender. He tells King Cobra to do the right thing and rectify the situation, or else he will.

Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) beat Ray Ray Sanders to become the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions! During the match, Ray Ray Sanders pins Storybook Prince Gaston to win, but it is soon revealed to be the legal man for Ellsworth Enterprises. As this happens, "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx hits Ray Ray Sanders with one of the tag team title belts, allowing Matt Williams to win with a schoolkid pin and win the titles. After the match, Nyxx takes the picture that Ray Ray Sanders showed at the beginning of the show and rips it in half.
