We see a video package for the upcoming Gold League match between "Switchblade" Jay White and Jay Lethal which harkens back to their first match in Ring of Honor.
Renee Paquette interviews Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) on the stage. Roderick Strong says it is obvious that MJF will put the dagger into Samoa Joe's heart, but Joe is a big boy and actions have consequences. Roderick is still convinced that MJF is the Devil, and says that he is in a wheelchair because of the decisions that he has made every single day and will live with the consequences of his actions until now. He then gets up and says he will no longer be held back by his wheelchair, for it has held him back for far too long. As he says this, the wheelchair is shoved off the stage.
Backstage, Renee Paquette gets an impromptu interviews with "Hangman" Adam Page, who gives Swerve Strickland credit where credit is due for beating him in a Texas Death Match. He says that this is not over and he will make sure Swerve does not get what he is looking for. MJF suddenly shows up, and Adam Page leaves only for MJF to makes fun of him behind his back. Hangman returns, and MJF brings up beating Hangman for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. After comparing world title reigns, Hangman tells MJF that he will be old and alone with his cats. MJF then says to Hangman's face that Hangman is the devil, and Hangman says he has known MJF to be a manipulator and that it might as well be MJF and that MJF should be honest. Samoa Joe suddenly jumps in and tells Hangman that MJF is his responsibility, then reminds MJF that they have more pressing matters tonight.
Swerve Strickland beats Mark Briscoe in the Gold League of the Continental Classic to earn three points. Mark Briscoe is mathematically eliminated from winning the Continental Classic.
Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Mariah May, who stays tight-lipped about her debut before proclaiming she will be at "Timeless" Toni Storm's match to study Toni Storm.
Before the next match, the lights go out after Samoa Joe gets in the ring. The Devil's masked men then show up and surround the ring on all four sides, then the lights go out. When they come back on, the masked men disappear and The Devil appears on the video screen. It is then revealed that MJF has been laid out backstage with a beer bottle, and Joe rushes to the back.
Backstage, Jon Moxley says he is humble before God and his mother, but he knows exactly who he is and what he can do. He says he expects to sweep the Continental Classic when Swerve Strickland shows up and says he will do what it takes to win. Moxley says he will, too, and Swerve tells Moxley he will see him in Texas.
Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz introduces "Timeless" Toni Storm before the next match.
"Timeless" Toni Storm retains the AEW World Women's Championship against Skye Blue after countering a jackknife pin with a roll-up. After the match, Riho shows up and gets in the ring. After Riho lands a drop kick, Luther helps Toni Storm retreat.
We see a video package for Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage for the AEW TNT Championship later tonight.

Christian Cage retains the AEW TNT Championship against Adam Copeland in what is their first wrestling match against each other in thirteen years. During the match, after Copeland inadvertently clips referee Bryan Rembsurg as he attempts to hit Christian with the Spear, Christian kicks Remsburg in the groin. Christian then tries to hit Copeland with the TNT Championship, but Copeland ducks it and both men collide. After this, Shayna Wayne shows up, grabs the TNT Championship, and hits Copeland with it. Christian then hits Copeland with the Killswitch, then stomps Copeland in the back of the neck before retaining.
