Collision Course - Collision recap for December 9, 2023

We hear from "All Ego" Ethan Page, Kenny Omega, "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, Andrade el Idolo, CJ Perry, Claudio Castagnoli, and Eddie Kingston before tonight's show.

Eddie Kingston beats Claudio Castagnoli in the Blue League of the Continental Classic and earns three points after countering a hurricanrana pin with a Sunset Flip.

In backstage footage from Dynamite, Jon Moxley says he was not afraid of Rush and that he had not much bite despite having a tough match, then says it is a shame for the helmsmen when the wind is unfavorable and that while Swerve Strickland has buzz, being at the top and staying there is something else entirely. He says that Swerve will realize that he will not be able to pay the price and take him out, and next week, Swerve will be having a long night.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Hook. Wheeler Yuta shows up and calls Hook a paper champion and an amateur and says Renee should be interviewing honorable champions like him, then Hook reminds Wheeler that he kicked Katsuyori Shibata in the groin to win the Ring of Honor Pure Championship back. Wheeler says he can wrestle under Pure rules and that he can wrestle under Hook's rules, then says he is tired of this, especially after Hook stuck his nose in his business, and is ready to take out under FTW rules. Hook accepts the challenge.

Willow Nightingale beats Mercedes Martinez with a surprise inside cradle after Martinez powerbombs her off the top rope. After the match, Mercedes and Diamante gang up on Willow, then Diamante pulls a small ladder out from underneath the ring and hands it to Mercedes to use as a weapon while she pulls out a pipe. All of a sudden, Kris Statlander shows up from behind with a chain and chases both Mercedes and Diamante away.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, Jake Hager and "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker. Hager says he has the authorities on Danhausen after he gave him "bad hat fever" and that he will not be at ringside tonight before leaving. Menard says he thinks of great Canadians when he thinks of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and that he and Parker will join the greats. Parker says they have stood in the stands of tonight's venue dreaming of wrestling in the ring, and tonight, they get to do that in front of fans, friends and family. Ruby Soho shows up, but so does Anna Jay and Saraya, and after Menard pulls Parker away from Ruby, Saraya gets angry and distrustful of Ruby to the point that she refuses to be in her corner against Riho to prove Ruby's loyalty, especially after finding out Ruby is wearing an Angelo Parker shirt.

In backstage footage from Dynamite, Swerve Strickland says he does not feel pain when it comes to chasing goals and shutting people down, then says that he is not only the leader of the Blue League, but all of AEW and the industry. He says he cannot wait to beat Jon Moxley, and while Moxley can be violent, he can be, too.

Wardlow beats Willie Mack by referee stoppage with one powerbomb.

We see a video package regarding The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) trying to get FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) to join them.

Kenny Omega beats "All Ego" Ethan Page and raises Ethan's hand after the match. After the match, Omega is attacked from behind by Big Bill. Ethan Page leaves the ring and checks on Omega.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews CJ Perry. CJ says Andrade el Idolo is born to be a wrestler and lists off his championship accomplishments before saying he has all the tools to beat "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. Miro shows up wanting to know when the last time he said so many good things about him was, then Lexy Nair leaves before Miro asks why CJ Perry is mad that he told her to stay home, as he is the bread winner and she is the queen. CJ Perry asks Miro if he is really that delusional, as he denounced her when she did. Miro says that his dad did all the work while his mother did the cooking and cleaning, then says he will not touch Andrade during the tournament before warning that once the tournament is over, so is Andrade.

We hear from Julia Hart, who says that being the queen of the black throne comes with lots of responsibilities: being TBS Champion, always honoring the house and knowing what is behind everyone's masks. She says there is one mask she cannot figure out, and that is Abadon's.

Penta el Zero Miedo and Komander beat "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker and "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard.

We see a video package for Shane Taylor vs. Keith Lee at ROH Final Battle.

Andrade el Idolo beats "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson in the Blue League of the Continental Championship and earn three points. When Andrade checks on Danielson, whose left eye he further hurt during the match, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta show up and physically confront Andrade.
