Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for December 17, 2023

Note: This week's episode is a repeat of the August 6, 2023 episode.

TMZ (Che Cabrera and "Hysterical" Shane Haste) retains the United World Tag Team Championships against Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCallion) when McCallion hits Cabrera with one of the tag team title belts and accidentally hits Slade when he means to hit Haste.

Backstage, Jeremy McPete interviews Danny Limelight. Limelight says he has not forgotten what Invictus Khash did to him despite Khash turning over a new leaf, and the difference between him and Khash is that when he speaks, it matters. He then says that no matter whom he has to face afterwards, they will have to kill him to take the title.

Backstage, Jonny Loquasto is met by The Institution ("Benevolent" Jack Banning, Honest John, Brendan Divine, Savanna Stone). Jack Banning says he is proud of The Institution and states that they have come a long way since forming, but they want more and they want tag team gold. He also says that Savanna Stone will prove she is unbreakable when she becomes the #1 contender to the United Women's Championship and the first-ever champion. He also demands Loqasto be fair and unbiased, and states that he does not want to hear Papo Esco's name around his title ever again when he beats him and that he wants those who fail to beat him to go back to the end of the line.

Marti Belle guests on commentary for the next match.

Savanna Stone beats Zeda Zhang to become the #1 seed in the West Coast bracket of the United Women's Championship Tournament after using the middle rope for leverage.

Backstage, Richie Slade confronts Flex McCallion for costing them the tag team titles. Flex says he is tired of being shafted and getting the short end of the stick and he had to do something new, much to the disappointment of Slade.

Danny Limelight retains the United World Championship against Invictus Khash. During the match, Limelight goes for a sleeper on Khash, but Khash backs Limelight into the ref, sandwiching the referee into the corner. "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater then shows up and hits the Midas Touch on Khash, knocking Khash out and allowing Limelight to retain.
