Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for April 8, 2026

A brawl between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley turns into a beatdown for The Death Riders (Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir) only for Alex Windsor (Will Ospreay's real life fiancée) and members of United Empire (Francisco Akira, Great-O-Khan, Callum Newman, Henare) to show up from out of a black SUV to make it a five-on-five brawl. The brawl makes its way to the ring, where Callum Newman brawls with until Marina Shafir gets to him and chokes him out. Great-O-Khan, Henare and Francisco Akira soon make it to the ring, and after United Empire gets the upper hand, Moxley and Ospreay go at it again. Moxley gets Ospreay in a sleeper hold, but Ospreay rolls out and Callum Neuman hits Moxley with a double foot stomp from the top rope. The Death Riders retreat through the crowd. Ospreay tells Moxley that he used his head like he told him to, then says that they are not done and that in twenty minutes, they will create some chaos in Canada when United Empire faces The Death Riders.

Backstage, we hear from Don Callis, who says that "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher is injured and out of action, which has thrown a wrench in his family's plans for the TNT Championship, which is now vacated and will now be up for grabs in a Casino Gauntlet Match at Dynasty. He says that his plans for the title are now off as a result, but he has a pivot that will blow everyone's minds. As for "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita and when they will fight, he admits he enjoys when people do not get along, but states that he calls the shots before mentioning that Takeshita will be in action with Andrade el Idolo and Mark Davis against Darby Allin, Bandido and "Jungle" Jack Perry. He hopes that his family wins so he can take the money and go out on the town and party like it is 1984.

The Don Callis Family ("The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, Andrade el Idolo, Mark Davis) beat Darby Allin, Bandido and "Jungle" Jack Perry in a trios match. (Bandido replaces Brody King, who was originally scheduled for the match but is replaced due to personal reasons.) Early in the match, Andrade heads to the back, and Darby Allin grabs the microphone and calls him out, telling him to get back here, stop playing games, and stop being "Don Callis' little bitch." Andrade comes back with Don Callis, who guests on commentary for the rest of the match. After the match, Takeshita and Andrade stomp on Jack Perry. Bandido also gets stomped on, and Andrade points at a poster for Dynasty while confronting Darby before kicking him in the groin. Don Callis then gouges Jack Perry's eyes before The Young Bucks show up and give Davis and Takeshita a beatdown. Don Callis then gouges Jack Perry's eyes before The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) show up and give Davis and Takeshita a beatdown. El Clon, Hechicero and Lance Archer rush into the ring, but they get easily dispatched by The Young Bucks before they hit the EVP-Trigger on Mark Davis. "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada shows up before The Young Bucks can hit the Meltzer Driver on Davis and stops the move cold, then he and Takeshita stomp The Young Bucks before confronting and shoving each other. This soon leads to the both of them exchanging blows, and the entire Don Callis Family has to break up the brawl. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed) soon show up and dive over the top rope to take out the entire family, save for Okada, who just points and laughs at Takeshita. The Rascalz and The Young Bucks get the last word when Myron Reed leaps over the top rope and takes out Okada.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Doc Samson. Doc Samson says that MJF is getting into Kenny Omega's head and mentions Kenny Omega's diverticulitis and surgery, then says Kenny Omega is cleared by him and his surgeon and is in the best shape of his life.

Willow Nightingale retains the TBS Championship against Queen Aminata (returning from a 161-day injury absence). Hikaru Shida is seen watching from the crowd during the match.

We see a video package for MJF in anticipation of Kenny Omega vs. MJF for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty.

Chris Jericho heads to the ring. In his hands in a black clipboard with a purple AEW logo on the back, with purple sides. Jericho says he meant it when he said he was home, then says he will make it official by signing his new AEW contract in the ring, just 100 miles away from where he made his professional wrestling debut at the Moose Hall in Ponoka, Alberta in 1990. He says that he and All Elite Wrestling have made history since 2019 and that he has taken risks since he became part of it - some of them more successful than others - and that all he cares about is building AEW because he loves pro wrestling and he loves the company. Before Jericho can sign the contract, however, The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) suddenly shows up. Ricochet announces that "Canada freakin' sucks" before stating that The Demand come in peace, and that Bishop Kaun would have already pulled the trigger if they did not. He then tells Ricochet to do them a favor and "just don't," telling him not to sign the contract as he has been rusty after being gone and signing with Fozzy for a year, which he says is "probably how [Jericho] got his abs back." Ricochet admits that Jericho has made history in AEW and has accomplished much, then says that AEW's attendance and ratings are up because of "the rise of Ricochet." He then says he is here to tell Jericho all of this because of how he respects him, and that he is speaking for everyone here when he says that nobody wants him in AEW. He then tells Jericho to pack it up, get out of his ring, get back on his cruise ship and never come back before he gets himself hurt, poking his hat into Jericho's chest on the last request. Jericho says "Wow...you really are bald," then says he respects Ricochet before stating "I really don't give a shit what you think." He signs the contract, which lets him pick his return opponent for Dynasty, and Jericho admits that while he could choose anybody, he has some things to do and decisions to make, which is all done in a second. He then removes the black part of the clipboard to reveal the word "Jericho," then says Ricochet made the list for being bald, coming out in a fancy sweatsuit and being around when he is in need of an opponent. Ricochet then becomes Jericho's opponent at Dynasty.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Don Callis Family. Don Callis announces that at Dynasty, Andrade el Idolo will not just beat Darby Allin, but put him in the dirt and earn a World title shot. He says that with "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher hurt, he has an even bigger match: The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) against "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita and "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. Takeshita does not want to do this, but Don Callis says he is the only coach here and that they need to come together for Fletcher and beat The Young Bucks. Takeshita agrees on the condition that he gets a match with Okada for the International Championship. Callis says that match will happen at Double or Nothing if they can work together for one night, get along like Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, and beat The Young Bucks. As Takeshita and Okada shake hands at Callis' behest, Okada says he is Jordan while Takeshita is Pippen, and this almost starts a brawl.

Tommaso Ciampa beats Mascara Dorada to enter the Casino Gauntlet Match for the TNT Championship at Dynasty at #1.

Backstage, we hear from The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, David Finlay). David Finlay says they may have lost last week on Collision, but they did not get beaten, and we see Clark Connors attacking Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong. Connors says there were only two of them last week, but the gang is back together now. Gabe Kidd says that The Conglomeration will be taken out and that they will come for Mistico and JetSpeed ("The Jet" Kevin Knight and "Speedball" Mike Bailey) as well as their gold.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The Toxic Spider" Thekla. Thekla says she does not want to hear about Jamie Hayter being champion one more time - threatening to take Lexy for a nice seafood dinner before dragging her to a strip club and breaking all of her fingers if she does - then tells Hayter that the game has changed. She says that Hayter was only champion because she was not here, and that as long as she is AEW Women's World Champion, she will never be champion again. Thekla says she took Hayter out first because she was the easiest, and that Hayter is coming back because she is "the dumbest bitch alive." He then says at Dynasty, Hayter will be "the dumbest bitch dead."

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage head to the ring. Copeland says their feud with FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) started all over pettiness, with FTR saying that were in his shadow and were nothing more than "glorified henchmen" for him. Copeland says this is the hand of reality slapping their faces. Copeland says he will not shrink himself to fit into FTR's world and that FTR are not big enough for his, and that he and Christian will reclaim their place at the top of the mountain and become the fans' AEW World Tag Team Champions. Christian tells FTR to sit down and shut their mouths wherever they are so he can conduct his business. He says FTR has been busy as they have not only pissed off Copeland, but the entire country of Canada. He says that as "everybody's favorite father figure," FTR have been so naughty that he has been forced to pay a visit to both of their mothers, and by that, he means that he "banged them both." He also says that he will visit Stokely Hathaway's mother as well, and when he does, he will do it as one-half of the tag team champions. FTR and Stokely Hathaway show up, but all of a sudden, Christian and Copeland are attacked from behind by RPG Vice (Rocky "Azucar" Romero and Trent Beretta) , who have come out of the crowd. This leads to a 4-on-2 beatdown. Christian Cage briefly gets the upper hand, but he gets shoved by Cash Wheeler into one of the tag team titles, which is held by Stokely. Meanwhile, RPG Vice drive a metal folding chair into Copeland's head. Dax then wraps a chair around Christian's left hand, and Stokely steals Christian's Rolex before Cash stomps the chair from the top rope, injuring Christian's left arm.

Backstage, Darby Allin says that despite seemingly caring about nothing, he cares too much, and says that he has to win the big one and be AEW World Champion. He says that Andrade el Idolo does not truly understand what he has gotten himself into, and that he needs this win more than anything in a world that says he is not enough when he has always been enough.

United Empire (Will Ospreay, Francisco Akira, Callum Newman, Henare) beat The Death Riders (Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Daniel Garcia) in Chaos in Canada. After the match, Will Ospreay goes after Jon Moxley to try to end his career, but the rest of The Death Riders save Moxley.

We see a video package for Kenny Omega in anticipation of Kenny Omega vs. MJF for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty.

Tony Schiavone introduces Kenny Omega to the ring. Kenny Omega talks about how he drove a car 14 hours from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to take part in the city's independent scene 25 years ago. He also mentions that "Speedball" Mike Bailey stopped him from playing into MJF's hands and ruining their World Championship match, and says that his nicknames are not just words, but things people have said about him. He considers those nicknames a responsibility and a weight upon his shoulders when he wrestles, and says that MJF runs his mouth but cannot deliver while he himself takes wrestling and recreates its image. It should have been MJF, not him, who should have gotten mad because all MJF can do is talk, because he cannot do what Omega and a few others can do, but he was the one who lost his cool. Omega says it was all on him to save the legacy of AEW of being where the best can wrestle the best, then says it is not his responsibility and legacy alone and that it belongs to the fans as well. He says that the fans deserve a champion who wears the World Championship with pride and goes down as one of the greatest of all time, and that it will not be MJF if he feels as good as he is and turns his weaknesses into strengths. Omega says it has gone from getting better and recovering to getting stronger, and Omega promises that he will take the World Championship and right the wrongs that MJF has committed in AEW. MJF shows up and takes Omega's words as thought that he is better than him, saying it makes sense for Omega and the fans to talk himself up, because deep down, they are all "scared shitless" that this might be Omega's last shot at the AEW World Championship. MJF says it will be Omega's last shot and that the clock is ticking on Omega's career, then brings up Omega saying he lost in their last match because he was at 75%. He wants to know what Omega's excuse will be when he beats him again. MJF admits he loves more than anything that in their match at Dynasty, Omega will find out that he is not on his level and that the fans' god will fall while the devil will rise to the throne where he belongs. Omega says he learns a little more about MJF every week that they speak like this, and that the AEW World Championship means a lot to MJF to the point that he would shake the challenger's hand, as this is the last time they can meet respectfully like men. Kenny Omega offers to shake MJF's hand and let bygones be bygones before an incredible main event, and MJF tosses the microphone away only to refuse, turn around and go for a cheap shot and eat a knee before he can land it. Omega then removes the Dynamite Diamond Ring from MJF's ring finger and says he saw this coming a mile away, then says that their match will not be like it was up until now and that it will end with him bidding the fans adieu.

As he makes it known that he loves gold and wants the North American Championship, Eddy Thorpe shows up and says it must be nice to walk in and be handed opportunities as other are starved of them.Thorpe says that he was looking in the wrong place for gold, and that the North American title represents the land that was stolen from his people and is essentially his birthright. Wes Lee, Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont show up, and Wes Lee says the title was at its peak when it was around his shoulders and that he is long overdue. Lexis, Wes Lee and Eddy argue with each other, and as Saints is about to give them all a shot, he is attacked from behind by Ethan Page. Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 8, 2024

WWE Chief Content Office Paul "Triple H" Levesque heads to the ring to start tonight's show. As the crowd chants "Thank You, Hunter!", Triple H says he is here to thank the fans for making something very special happen, and he can now really tell them that WrestleMania 40 was the greatest of all time by every single metric and standard, and according to the fans. Triple H thanks the fans, and after welcoming everyone to tonight's show, he welcomes everyone to a new time and a new era, and he introduces the man who will lead everyone into the new era: "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Cody and Triple H shake hands, then Triple H raises Cody's hand. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" to Cody, and Triple H congratulates Cody to ending one of the greatest reigns of all time, headlining the greatest WrestleMania, and bringing 20,000 people to last night's show. Triple H then mentions that some friends of Cody's who work in the back have prepared something special for Cody, which he will now share with everyone. We then see a video package celebrating Cody's path to the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Cody tears up during the video package, and Triple H and Cody hug. The crowd chants "You deserve it!" once again, and Cody lays the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the middle of the ring and kneels down to kiss it. Cody asks ring announcer Samantha Irvin to declare him the new Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, which she does, then talks about he laid his goals - which have now become reality - out two years ago. He then says that if the air feels a little thin, it is because everyone is standing on top of the mountain, and that he acknowledges Roman Reigns' accomplishments and calls him "one of the most important Superstars of our generation." The fans chant "Thank you, Roman!" before Cody states that he was destined to defeat Roman, then talks about his "why" for doing what he does, then shows video of one of his main "whys," his daughter. He wants her to know that when he goes to work, he goes to work in the main event, and when he is fighting, he is no longer fighting as challenger, but instead as champion. He admits that this has been a difficult predicament, for after standing in line, the line is now for him. Cody re-introduces himself, saying he was once undesirable, then undeniable, and now Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Suddenly, The Rock shows up and heads to the ring, and the fans call him a "mother hater." The Rock tries to speak, but he gets booed as he puts the microphone near his mouth. The fans then chant "Shut the fuck up!" and "Rocky sucks!" When The Rock says he is a lot of things and that "sucks" is not one of them, the fans chant "It don't matter" and "asshole" before trying to boo him out of the building again. The Rock says he came here to deliver flowers to Cody and announce that Philadelphia broke another record for the gathering of trailer park trash. He then dares the fans to chant "Shut the fuck up!" again. As expected, the fans chant it again, but the fans cheer again when Cody raises up his championship. The Rock then raises up his People's Championship belt only to get booed. The Rock then says he came out here to give Cody his flowers and tells Cody he did it. He says that the fans can chant what they want, then says Cody beat Roman and finished his story even after all that he did to him. He says that Cody's mother is and should be proud of him and that his father Dusty Rhodes would be too, as he cites Dusty as one of his heroes and how their fathers were good friends up and down the road before stating he does not care what his own father would think of him now.The Rock mentions how his belt means a lot of him as much as Cody's does to him, then asks if there is any way The Rock can hold on to that title, as he has grown up in show business but has never held the Undisputed title. The Rock thanks Cody before the two of them swap championship belts again, saying it means a lot, then announces that he "has to go away for a little while now." He says that as much as he does not want to and after how he and Cody made wrestilng cool again, during which the crowd sings "Na Na Hey Hey (The Goodbye Song)," but when he comes back, he will come back for Cody. Cody tells The Rock that he looks forward to it. The Rock says he also looks forward to it, then tells Cody how he won at Night One before Cody went on to Night Two, and that while Cody's story with Roman has ended, their story has just begun. Cody says he believes that, saying that The Rock is not just "The Final Boss" but his literal boss as part of the TKO board of directors, but reminds him that he is the people's champion, and that means he is The Rock's champion. The Rock agrees, then has one more thing for Cody before he rides off into the sunset. He holds Cody's hand, then tells Cody that he does not have to open his hand to see what it is, and tells him not to break his heart again. The Rock lets go of Cody's hand, and he leaves as Cody watches.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh) is in the ring. Finn Balor tells all the doubters who thought that Rhea Ripley could not retain and that Damian Priest could not retain that they were all wrong. Dominik declares that Rhea is still the World Women's Champion even as he is booed out of the building, and Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring. Rhea says WrestleMania was almost perfect, and that this will be addressed, and that two things came out of this: Mami is always on top and that The Judgment Day is in a new era. Finn Balor then introduces Damian Priest, who heads to the ring. The crowd chants "You deserve it!", and Priest responds with "You're damn right, I do!" He says that "The Terror Twins" are world champions and that everyone should rise for The Judgment Day. Suddenly, R-Truth shows up to celebrate "all of us." He says he has brought the Raw Tag Team titles back to The Judgment Day, then says that while The Judgment Day is picky about who they let in the group, he is only one-half of the tag champs. The Miz then shows up and heads to the ring. The Miz has to tell R-Truth he does not want to be in The Judgment Day and that R-Truth is not in the group, but R-Truth insists that he is. Miz drags R-Truth to his side before announcing that he and R-Truth are tag champs now. Finn Balor says The Miz thinks he is funny and that it is funny that The Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth) will have the shortest reign in history when they put their titles on the line, right here, right now. R-Truth then says as fun as that is, they cannot, as there are only "three of us," as there will be a six-man tag match where he and The Miz tag with "the guy you can't see." JD McDonagh accepts the challenge, and The Miz says he would like to physically see his partner. R-Truth says that this person would like to celebrate but would rather tag instead, and as he introduces him, The Judgment Day (Finn, Priest, Rhea, Dominik, McDonagh) attack The Awesome Truth.

Sami Zayn heads to the ring. Sami says he has been lucky the past few years at WrestleMania, and while he has done some historical things, he wanted to do something historical this year, and he did. He says that is not entirely true, as the one who did something historical was Gunther, and that a 666-day reign as champion cannot be taken away from him. He says that while Gunther was the best Intercontinental Champion of all time, he took it away from him. Sami says that he cannot take all the credit for this, and thanks the fans for supporting him along the way. He also says seeing his wife and son as well as Kevin Owens backstage helped him. He then says that one other guy helped him out, too, but before he can mention him, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci show up. Kaiser says that for the past two years, Gunther put everything into making the Intercontinental Championship the most prestigious championship within WWE, and that it breaks his heart to see someone like Sami holding it right now. He says that Sami looks like "all these peasants in Philadelphia tonight" and that the new champion "looks like a bum." Kaiser says that on behalf of Gunther, he and Vinci are here to make this right. Kaiser and Vinci surround the ring before Chad Gable show up to stand alongside Sami.

We see a vignette for Sheamus.

Sami Zayn and Chad Gable beat Imperium (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci).

Backstage, Raw, SmackDown and NXT General Managers Adam Pearce, Nick Aldis and Ava congratulate Andrade, then talk about the upcoming WWE Draft. Chelsea Green suddenly shows up and complains about not being at WrestleMania, and threatens to complain to top brass. Pearce tells Chelsea that he has something for her, and Aldis says she will not be disappointed. Chelsea says that she wants her moment. Pearce tells her that if she heads to the ring right now, her moment awaits.

WWE has sold out seventeen consecutive televised events.

The WWE Draft starts on the April 26th SmackDown and concludes on the April 29th Raw.

Chelsea Green heads to the ring, where she finds out that she is in a match with Jade Cargill.

Jade Cargill quickly beats Chelsea Green with a pump kick followed by Jaded.

Sami Zayn says he and Gable are even, then admits he his kidding around and says he knows Gable wants an Intercontinental title shot, as he deserves one more than anything. He says it would be an honor to defend it against him next week in his hometown of Montréal, Quebec, Canada.

Before the next match, Drew McIntyre says that what happened last night was "pure and utter B.S." and that he only had his moment for 5 minutes and 46 seconds, which is "five minutes longer than [the fans] last in bed," and while he does not like Rollins, he respects Rollins for standing by his convictions, going out on his shield and sharing a moment only warriors know about. He then says "that bondage Undertaker" Damian Priest ruined the moment and that the Money In The Bank Briefcase is a joke that cost him a world title twice and cheapens everything both he and Rollins did. He says the World title will come back to him, then blames CM Punk for Priest cashing in on him and calls him a coward for attacking him when he turned his back. McIntyre then says it is "on sight" and that he will go for the rest of Punk's body when he returns. McIntyre then takes his anger out on the commentators when "Main Event" Jey Uso shows up.

"Main Event" Jey Uso beats Drew McIntyre, "Big" Bronson Reed and Ricochet in a Fatal 4-Way to become #1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship after CM Punk comes out from underneath the ring to grab McIntyre by the foot to stop the Claymore Kick, allowing Jey Uso to hit McIntyre with a superkick, a Spear and an Uso Splash to win the match and the title shot.

This week on Raw Talk: Ilja Dragunov! Alpha Academy (Chad Gable, Otis, Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa)! Jade Cargill!

Here are the top ten moments from tonight's show!

We hear from Big John Dalton and Lince Dorado, who announce a Spring Break open challenge.

She says that she wants a rematch, but instead of a regular match, she wants an "I Quit" Match. Charlotte shows up on the TitanTron and says she could not beat her in checkers, let alone an "I Quit" Match, because she does not quit and winning, not quitting, is in her DNA. She says she felt the pressure and the arm bar, but she did not lose and she did not tap out, and that Ronda cannot win when it matters. She then asks Kayla "Are those guys always this annoying?"

He says that in these low points that one realizes what kind of man one really is, and as he talked to himself on his yacht, he realized that Madcap Moss is too blame for being on the apron and distracted him. Madcap Moss says he was excited for him, but Corbin says that Moss ruined the match and made WrestleMania weekend all about him before telling him that he has gotten too big for his suspenders and forgot his place, which is to tell him a joke. She says the abuse became too much and her mother moved her and her siblings out of the house and into women's shelters and campgrounds from state to state, and she learned to adapt and refused to give up. She says she may not have had a great start as the rest of the women's locker room, but what she has gone through, including time in the military, has made her who she is and got her to where she is now. He tells The Usos to get the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships, then says they will have all the gold soon. Suddenly, Shinsuke Nakamura shows up. Roman lowers Nakamura's microphone, telling him he does not have to speak and that he knows how he feels, then says the island of relevancy is a place of love before hugging Nakamura. Nakamura suddenly gets superkicked in the face, then Roman tells them to do the same thing to RK-Bro (Matt Riddle and Randy Orton).

NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver - Night Two: The Results

Backstage, Samoa Joe interviews Karrion Kross and Scarlett. Kross says that he was pissed when he found out that he was injured and had to vacate the NXT Championship, as it took him many years to reach that point, and there was a point where it felt like it was all for nothing. Kross says that he will cut the ring off and smash Finn Balor, and admits that while Finn Balor has technique and experience and is a fine champion, he will not control the pace of the match. Kross says he came here to be champion, not to be lost in the shuffle, and he also says that he does care what Finn Balor says about him, as he says a lot of things, that his arrogance will be his downfall and his tactics will not work.

Backstage, Samoa Joe interviews Finn Balor. Balor says he has proven time and again that he can stand and deliver, and if anyone needs to stand and deliver, it is not him. He says that it is not an ideal situation to vacate a title, and that it tooks months, if not a year, to get his confidence back, and says that Karrion Kross may have come back too soon. Finn Balor then says that understimating Finn Balor is a catastrophic mistake, and that Karrion Kross should be in the best shape of his life to face him right now. He says he has dealt with big men by dragging them into territory they do not want to be in, and that he will drag Karrion Kross into "the deep water" and drown him like he has never drowned before. He says that he has been treated as the underdog through his career, and says that this is where his fury comes from, then says he will stand and deliver like he has for the last twenty years and beat Karrion Kross.

Backstage, Samoa Joe interviews Kyle O'Reilly. O'Reilly says it has been a crazy year and feels he has an internal struggle, and while it felt good to be in The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) with all their money and success, something had to give, as he had strayed so far from the path that got him to NXT that he barely recognized himself, and to save his soul, he had to save himself from a gang mentality. He admits that while his actions post-Undisputed Era have not been much better, he must fight fire with fire to get an edge against Adam Cole. O'Reilly says that Adam Cole was the one to put the stake through the heart and set him free, and while he lost in some big opportunities, he found himself again after having fought on his own and with honor and integrity, and says that he has what it takes to face Adam Cole tonight, saying the match will be as one-sided as it gets as he will finish Adam Cole as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Backstage, Samoa Joe interviews Adam Cole. Cole says he has known Kyle O'Reilly for twelve years, and says that without him, O'Reilly would have never made it to WWE. He says that he was the backbone and the one responsible for the success of The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong), and that Fish and Strong will soon find out the hard way that crossing him is a big mistake. He says that O'Reilly is the one being reckless as of late, not him, and that he has brought aggressiveness and a lack of poise out of him. Cole says that victory to him will be O'Reilly realizing that he has given him the worst beating of his life and that he should have not messed with him. As for whether or not he and O'Reilly can coexist ever again, Cole says it depends on whether or not he wants to be near somebody like O'Reilly, and that it also depends on what kind of apology O'Reilly gives to him, so long as O'Reilly knows he is going to beat his ass first.

He says that nobody wanted Lance Archer, and that when Marko Stunt saw that an opportunity, he should have stayed thought of as a fool than to erase all doubt.
