Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for September 22, 2020



Trey Miguel beats TJP and Chris Bey to earn a shot at the Impact X Division Championship. After the match, the title match happens, but Rohit Raju - who has been at ringside the whole match - rolls Trey Miguel up and grabs the tights to retain the championship.



We hear from Eric Young, who says that Scott D'Amore has seven days to think about what he said, and that he will have a clear conscience and sleep like a baby, for everything will be on D'Amore and Rich Swann. He says that Rich Swann is doing this the hard, and that everything that happens from here on out will be Swann's fault.

Backstage, Kaleb says that Tenille Dashwood is busy at the moment, but she will be ready for later tonight. Tenille shows up and says that she is going to win tonight.

Susie beats Kimber Lee after Deonna Purrazzo inadvertently hits Kimber Lee from the ring apron, then nearly turns into Su Yung again. After the match, Deonna attacks Kylie Rae, and Susie slaps Deonna a few times before Deonna puts her in the Fujiwara Arm Bar. Kylie grabs Deonna and throws her out of the ring. Kylie Rae tells Deonna that if she wants to bully her and Susie, that is fine, because the Knockouts Championship will be hers at Bound For Glory.



We hear from Heath, who says he needs a job not just because he has kids, but because professional wrestling is a thing he loves to do. He says he wants to be in Impact as it has the best competition in the world and because Rhino is there. Rhino sounds and looks like he is reading from a cue card as he hypes up the #Heath4IMPACT hashtag, then we see a few celebrities on Cameo tell Impact Wrestling to hire Heath. D'Lo Brown (called "DeLorean Brown" here) also says that Heath needs a job. Heath then mentions his car got repossessed last night, and D'Lo says this is nothing like Repo Man stealing Bret Hart's jacket. We also hear from Heath's two daughters, who also tell Impact Wrestling to hire Heath.



The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) are met by The Good Brothers backstage, then The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) show up, and The Rascalz demand respect from The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) when The Good Brothers call them young boys. The Good Brothers say if they want a match, they've got it.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is Bully Ray vs. AJ Styles at Bound For Glory 2013.

We hear from Ethan Carter III, who tells Moose he knows what it is like to have the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He says that it is times like these that we control our narratives. He says that through technology, it is time for everyone to band together and help Moose find the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and give any and all relevant information to Moose's cell phone at (407) 457-8494. (Author's note: The number doesn't go to anything other than a voicemail that hasn't even been set up yet. Don't even call it. Seriously.)



Backstage, Rosemary tells Taya Valkyrie that she was unconscious backstage when Taya asks here where she was during her match last week, and says that they must be on the same page if they want things to work. Rosemary says she will help with Taya's problems first, then Taya will help with hers. Taya proposes she helps Rosemary with her problems before Rosemary helps her out. As Taya says that John E. Bravo is handling all the details for the wedding, John E. Bravo talks with a few members of the locker room, saying it is time for everyone to dig their heels in and get to work. The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) leave for their match, then Johnny Swinger takes offense to Fallah Bahh being the best man. After Fallah Bahh calls Swinger "Captain Spandex," Tommy Dreamer declares it is match time before Bravo tells him to shut up and asks who is experienced in scrapbooking.

Backstage, Brian Myers takes offense to being called a cheater in his last match against Willie Mack and flips a table, then Tommy Dreamer shows up to tell him to calm down, not be disrespectful and clean up the mess he made. Myers refuses, saying he wouldn't let his "wrestling dad" talk to him like this, much less his real dad. He then says he will clean it up, then warns Dreamer to walk the other direction the next time he sees him in the hallway.

Eric Young attacks The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) before the next match, then gets Cody Deaner in the ring. Cody fights back and brawls with Eric Young, but Eric hits him with a piledriver in the middle of the ring. Cousin Jake gets in the ring, and Eric Young retreats after a couple of forearms. When Jake checks on Cody, Eric Young gets back in the ring and attacks Jake again. Eric Young then hits Cousin Jake with a piledriver before grabbing a microphone and asking if Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann and Scott D'Amore are watching before saying that everything that happens from here on out is on them. Eric Young says that his hand was forced and that he gave Eddie and Swann the easy way out as he continues to attack The Deaners, then tells Scott D'Amore that it is his choice what happens from here on out. He then proceeds to taunt Cody before stomping on him and Cousin Jake, then proclaims it is his world and that everything is under his control and his design from now on. He then boots Cody out of the ring before going for an ankle lock on Jake. Security shows up, but Eric Young levels them before going for Cousin Jake's leg ankle again. Scott D'Amore shows up and tells Eric Young to let Jake go, and D'Amore has to get in the ring to break the hold and tell Eric to use his head. Eric Young forces Scott D'Amore into the corner then Eddie Edwards shows up and attacks Eric Young, forcing Eric to retreat.



Backstage, Eddie Edwards tells Scott D'Amore that he cannot let people walk over him, and demands a rematch so he can end Eric Young's reign of terror, saying he should be the one getting it and not Rich Swann. D'Amore tells Edwards he has his rematch at Victory Road, and tells him to be the leader he says he is.

Rob Van Dam beats Sami Callihan. As per pre-match stipulation, Katie Forbes gets five minutes in the ring with Sami Callihan. Katie Forbes and Rob Van Dam attack Rob Van Dam, but Sami Callihan throws a steel chair at Rob Van Dam before planting Forbes into the mat with a Cactus Special.



Backstage, Ace Austin says he always has a plan, then says that he and Madman Fulton are next in line for the tag team titles after winning last week. The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) then show up, saying they were champs for over a year and that Austin and Fulton were lucky to tag with them. After Ethan Page says they were responsible for Austin and Fulton winning, Madman gets in The North's faces, and this leads to Page proposing a match between both teams next week.

Next week: Johnny Swinger vs. Fallah Bahh, where the winner is John E. Bravo's best man! Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie vs. Havok and Nevaeh! The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) vs. The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson)! Ace Austin and Madman Fulton vs. The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander)!

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for August 11, 2020



The show starts with Eric Young and Willie Mack brawling backstage before their match. Security step in to get involved, but it soon becomes an official match. When both men get to the ring, Willie Mack says they might as well have their match right now. After mentioning that he did not like what Eric Young did to Rich Swann last week, he tells Eric Young that he has something to straighten him out if he thinks he is crazy. Eric Young refuses and heads to the back, but Willie Mack grabs Eric Young and gets him back to the ring.

Eric Young beats Willie Mack after Mack lays a steel chair on Young's foot only for Young to get back up, knock him off the top rope and hit a piledriver for the win.



The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) vs. Ace Austin and Madman Fulton is official for Emergence.

Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) give a security guard a hard time as they look for Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.

On Wrestle House, Taya Valkyrie has a movie night planned, with "Taya Valkyrie's Greatest Hits" as the featured attraction. Suddenly, it is realized that Cousin Jake and Susie are not in the room, and Cody Deaner and Alisha Edwards go look for them. Taya's debut match is the first match shown, but nobody seems interested. Johnny Swinger tries to lighten the mood and thinks that Crazzy Steve is into Rosemary, and Steve decides to talk to her. Rosemary is interested in picking their relationship back up. Steve notes that Rosemary is jealous of Taya. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Cousin Jake and Susie are preparing for a date with each other.

Backstage, Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) attack Rhino and take his money. Rhino gets back up and fights back, and takes the money back. Reno Scum attack him again, and take the money back again before walking off.

Jordynne Grace beats Kimber Lee by submission after getting the knees up to block a Swanton Bomb.



It's time for Locker Room Talk. Madison Rayne announces that the segment has its first sponsor: Heath, who says he has bought 30 seconds of ad time to tell the fans to get #Heath4IMPACT trending. Tonight's guests are introduced: Rob Van Dam and Katie Forbes. RVD and Katie are glad that Cancel Culture is no more, then proceed to make out on the couch. Madison walks off, letting them keep the couch, and RVD and Katie decide to make the show their own. RVD and Katie start talking about themselves, then Sami Calihan hacks his way into the show and attacks Rob Van Dam. Sami goes for a Cactus Special on RVD, but Katie sprays Sami in the face with something and beat him up.

Backstage, Trey Miguel sneaks up on Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz wearing a Suicide mask, the Moose shows up and confronts Wentz for wearing an EC3 jacket. Moose then hands an invitation to face him for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship to Trey , thinking he is Suicide. Wentz and Dez cannot believe what is happening.

On Wrestle House, Rosemary casts a spell on Larry D. Meanwhile, Susie has a date with Cousin Jake and tells him that she has "the runs." As Taya's matches continue to play on the TV, Acey Romero tries to get Larry D's attention, and this leads to an argument as well as Tommy Dreamer making a match official.



On Wrestle House, Larry D beats Acey Romero. Cody Deaner is the referee. After the match, Larry D dedicates his victory to Rosemary.

We hear from Deonna Purrazzo, who says that Jordynne Grace has been more unbecoming a champion since losing the Knockouts Championship. She proposes that the two of them have a 30-minute Iron Man Match for the championship at Emergence.

We see a video package chronicling the feud between The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) and The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley).



Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz beat Havok and Nevaeh in a no-disqualification tag team match.



Backstage, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) meet Scott D'Amore, who says that he has not seen Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. The Good Brothers then head to the ring. Meanwhile, Moose sees a message from Ethan Carter III, who states that he is here for Moose and his synonymy with what he represents, and that he must destroy him.

Suicide vs. Dezmond Xavier ends with The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) laying out Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz and Suicide. Anderson warns Ace Austin and Madman Fulton that they have messed with the wrong brothers and that he and Gallows will wait all night for them in the ring. Gallows says last week was not his first time in jail, and dares Austin and Fulton to get in the ring. Austin and Fulton show up on the video screen, and Austin says that if they want a fight, they will get it, but only on his time. He then says the right time would be at Emergence.



The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Cody Rhodes vs. Eddie Edwards from October 2, 2016.

Backstage, Rohit Raju proposes that Chris Bey give him and TJP an X Division title shot so that they can both beat TJP so that Bey can keep his title. Chris Bey likes the plan, and decides to put it into action.

We see another vignette for Brian Myers, who introduces himself as "the most professional wrestler."

On Wrestle House, Susie and Cousin Jake say they enjoyed each other's company. When Cousin Jake mentions Susie's other half, the other half takes over and Cousin Jake runs away. When Alisha Edwards shows up and asks what happened, Susie has no recollection of what happened and tells Alisha that her advice was bad. This starts an argument that turns into a match.

On Wrestle House, Susie beats Alisha Edwards with a schoolkid pin. Crazzy Steve is the referee. After the match, Taya Valkyrie tries to round everyone up to watch more of her matches, and Susie mentions that Kylie Rae is #1 contender for the Knockouts Championship. Rosemary stops Tommy Dreamer from proclaiming another match after Kylie Rae proposes she and Taya have a match right now, and Taya tells Kylie she will see her next week.



Before the next match, Eddie Edwards tells Eric Young that he has his attention and tells him to get in the ring so they can fight for the Impact World Championship. Instead of Eric Young, he gets Brian Myers. Myers admits he is not Eric Young, and that the World Championship will become a championship in his hands. He then tells Eddie he is the most professional wrestler, and that his challenge is accepted.

Eddie Edwards retains the Impact World Championship against Brian Myers.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for August 4, 2020



Moose retains the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Heath, costing Heath a spot on the Impact roster. During the match, Moose is inadvertently whipped into the referee, knocking him down before Heath can hit the Wake-Up Call. Heath weakes up the referee, but Moose hits the low blow to retain.



Emergence will take place two weeks from tonight in two weeks. Deonna Purrazzo will defend the Knockouts Championship against Jordynne Grace.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Willie Mack, who says that he and Rich Swann are friends, and mentions what Eric Young did to Swann. He says that he will have to wait to hear what Swann has to say lie everyone else.

We hear from Ethan Carter III, who says that he has achieved everything he has ever wanted, but ever since then, he has been punished by those in power and by himself. He says he must destroy his past to reclaim his future, and that he will reclaim the TNA World title and burn its legacy to the ground. EC3 then tells Moose he has been warned.

Jimmy Jacobs interviews The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) in the ring. Shelley says the three of them have put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into the industry and that their hard work was paying off, and that they came back to challenge themselves. Shelley says he and Sabin split up after 2012 and accomplished much, and Sabin says that when they trained together after Sabin got over his recent nearly-career-ending injury, he realized they still had chemistry as a tag team. As the Machine Guns run down who is in the tag team division, The North show up. Alexander calls the sit-down interview happening "preferential treatment" and that the Machine Guns were handed an opportunity at the tag titles while they had to earn everything. Alexander admits that the Machine Guns beat The North despite that, which raises the ire of Ethan Page, who says they did not beat them when they were at their best and that they decimated the tag division. Shelley tells The North that they would not take the titles to the grave, and that they can have their rematch any time they want. The North say they will do it on their own time, come back at 100% and take the titles back at Emergence.



Backstage, Kimber Lee talks with Deonna Purrazzo and proposes a partnership, offering to take out Jordynne Grace in exchange for a shot at the Knockouts Championship. Purrazzo accepts.

At Wrestle House, Taya Valkyrie says she is not making the most of the situation. She also mentions that everybody has body odor, then hands everyone soap. Alisha Edwards tries to help Susie get Cousin Jake as a boyfriend when Johnny Swinger butts in, thinking they are talking about him. When Swinger says he can handle the both of them, Tommy Dreamer puts him in a handicap match against Alisha and Susie.

At Wrestle House, Alisha Edwards and Susie beat Johnny Swinger in a two-on-one handicap with Cody Deaner as the special guest referee. Afterwards, Kylie Rae meets with John E. Bravo about Rosemary saying that nobody can leave until John can "get the hint." John says he can take a hint and leaves.



This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Sami Callihan beating "The Machine" Brian Cage for the Impact World Championship on October 29, 2019.

Outside of the arena, The Good Brothers find out that someone has messed with their vehicle and drank their beer. Police show up and question them, then Ace Austin shows up and accuses them of driving under the influence. When Gallows gets his hands on Austin and one of the officers gets involved, Gallows inadvertently elbows him, and this leads to Gallows getting arrested.

We see another vignette for Brian Myers.

Sami Callihan is planned to be Eddie Edwards' opponent before the next match, but Rob Van Dam stands next to him and attacks him with a steel chair. Despite being attacked, Callihan gets in the ring for the match.

Eddie Edwards retains the Impact World Championship against Sami Callihan after Sami re-thinks using a steel chair in the match and tosses it away.



Backstge, Kylie Rae sees John E. Bravo leaving, and when Rosemary and Taya look for him, Kylie Rae mentions something about "taking hints" after saying she saw him leave and after Rosemary asks Kylie if she said anything to him. Rosemary to call for Tommy Dreamer to set up a match.

Kylie Rae beats Rosemary after the unintentional distraction from John E. Bravo, who is cheering for Rosemary. Taya Valkyrie is the special guest referee in the match who tends to favor Rosemary. After the match, John E. Bravo admits to Rosemary that he is torn between her and Taya. When Taya notices John, she chews him out for leaving her to make her own food. On the couch, Rosemary says "As long as it takes."



Backstage, as Karl Anderson calls Doc Gallows, Austin shows up. Anderson punches Austin, but Madman Fulton shows up and he and Austin overpower Anderson so that Austin can hit Anderson with his cane.

Backstage, Hernandez hires Reno Scum to help him get his money, promising that he will make it worth their while.

TJP and Fallah Bahh beat Chris Bey and Rohit Raju after a Cross Arm Breaker from TJP to Chris Bey.



Next week: Havok and Nevaeh vs. Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan in a no-disqualification match! Jordynne Grace vs. Kimber Lee! Eddie Edwards defends the Impact World Championship!

Rich Swann shows up. Swann says that with hard work, dedication, heart, love and support, he was able to become a professional wrestler, prove the doubters and nay-sayers wrong and live his dream. He mentions his foot injury from January and how he was told he would walk with a limp for the rest of his life. Swann says he worked as hard as he ever could to prove the doctor wrong, and as months passed, he could feel himself healing and getting stronger. After an MRI, he was able to get back in action in time for Slammiversary, and he took the vacant spot for the Impact World Championship match. He says he gave the match his all, but Eric Young re-injured his foot with a steel chair. Swann says he is back in the same situation he was seven months ago, and the doctor tells him that if he were to get back in the ring, his life might change, as he will not live a normal life if he returns. Rich Swann announces that he has been forced to think about his family and career, and that he has been forced to retire. He thanks everyone in the company for their support and talent as well as the fans, and says it has been a good 15 years. After Swann says he hopes he has made an impact in the industry, the locker room shows up to thank Rich Swann. After Swann is helped out of the ring and up the ramp, Eric Young runs in and attacks Swann with one of his crutches, then runs.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 14, 2020



Kylie Rae, Susie, Alisha, Havok and Nevaeh beat Taya Valkyrie, Rosemary, Kimber Lee, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz after Susie hits the Panic Switch on Kimber Lee. After the match, both teams continue to brawl.



In Dayton, Ohio, Madman Fulton and Ace Austin are in town. Fulton is disappointed to be back in Dayton, but Austin says that sometimes you have to go back to where you started to get where you want to go.

We see footage of Hernandez and Rhino having arm wrestling matches in various places.

Moose tries to ask Hernandez and Rhino to be his tag team partner. After that, Moose runs into Hernandez, causing Rhino to win. Hernandez keeps Rhino from taking his money, telling him that if he wants to win, they will do it outside.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is the Ultimate X Match from Slammiversary 2013.

The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) beat XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D) after Cody tags Cousin Jake while up for a sit-out powerbomb from Larry D. Larry D hits the powerbomb, but Jake pins an unknowing Larry D with a schoolkid pin for the victory. After the match, XXXL attack The Deaners, and they hit Cousin Jake with a devastating double-team.



Backstage, Moose asks Rohit Raju to be his tag team partner as a last result. Rohit takes exception to being a last resort, but ultimately says yes.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger tells Chris Bey to trust in him as he gets everything straightened out for Slammiversary. Swinger confronts the referee and says he has rights as an "emotional support companion" with the card to prove it. After Swinger threatens a lawsuit, Swinger is back at ringside at Slammiversary after the referee says he does not want any trouble.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger overhears Chris Bey saying he is the next X Division Champion while calling Swinger an "old head," making it clear he doesn't really want to be around Swinger and that he is just using him to get to the title. Swinger tells Chris Bey that "the office won't budge" and that he is on his own this Sunday.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs moderates a face-to-face contract signing between Deonna Purrazzo vs. Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary. Deonna signs the contract and tells Jordynne she has no idea what she is getting into and that she is facing class and sophistication when she enters the ring, and that she will leave without the title. Jordynne signs the contract, then slams Deonna's face into the table after telling her she does not know what she is getting into, either.



Crazzy Steve and Tommy Dreamer beat Moose and Rohit Raju.



Madman Fulton and Ace Austin make their way into Fulton's old gym.

Outside of the arena, Rhino and Hernandez have a street fight over Hernandez's money. Rhino takes the money after kicking Hernandez near the groin, but Hernandez tries to choke him out with a bandanna. Rhino almost takes the money again, but Hernandez throws a traffic cone at him. Weapons are now involved, but with both men start using their fists and hitting each other with a ground-and-pound. After both men collide into a fence, both men agree to split the money and shake hands.



As he and Madman Fulton train at Fulton's old gym, Ace Austin talks about how he a fresh new face a year ago and how he has risen to the main event of Slammiversary due to his insatiable appetite for success. He says that Slammiversary will be about him becoming the face of the industry and the youngest World Champion of all time.



Trey Miguel talks with Zachary Wentz about how much he does not like the idea of a mystery opponent when he finds out that Ace Austin is working out at their gym. Trey and Wentz head to the gym.

Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz sneak into the gym as Ace Austin chews out a member of staff. Wentz throws a trash can he brings into the room at Madman Fulton, then traps him in a closet. Trey gets Ace Austin in the training ring and brawls with him after Fulton escapes the closet and chases Wentz. Fulton soon shows up to catch Ace, but Wentz returns to back Trey up. Ace and Fulton retreat.



Somebody is seen mailing something to Scott D'Amore via FedEx. D'Amore opens the FedEx package and says that Slammiversary just got more exciting.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for July 7, 2020



Kylie Rae and Susie beat Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie with a Smile To The Finish to Taya after Rosemary is down and Taya is distracted.



Backstage, Chris Bey talks with Johnny Swinger. Swinger says he has a plan and that he will get being banned from ringside at Slammiversary taken care of.

The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) beat XXXL (Larry D and Acey Romero), Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) and the team of TJP and Fallah Bahh in a four-way tag team match. After the match, Reno Scum brawl with TJP and Fallah Bahh backstage. TJP climbs up a forklift and takes out Reno Scum, then Fallah Bahh puts TJP in a trash can, rolling it around while TJP hits Reno Scum with a steel chair. In the end, Reno Scum get the upper hand.



Backstage, Johnny Swinger finds a Super Eric costume while looking for a way to get around being banned from ringside at Slammiversary, but discards it. He then finds a Suicide costume in someone's bags, and steals the entire costume after putting the mask on.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is Tara and Angelina Love vs. The Beautiful People (Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne) in a Lethal Lockdown Match at Lockdown 2010.

Backstage, Ken Shamrock finds Sami Callihan backstage and says they have a chance to end The North and win championship gold, and offers Callihan his help tonight. Callihan, as much as he wants to take out Shamrock, likes the idea of being the world's most dangerous tag team, then disappears.

Jordynne Grace beats Kimber Lee. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo shows up on the video screen and says she came to become champion, not to take part in "frivolous combat." She tells Grace she will have to wait until Slammiversary to have her in the ring.



We see a video package for the four-way match for the vacant Impact World Championship at Slammiversary.



Backstage, Johnny Swinger - dressed as Suicide - runs into Willie Mack. Amazingly, Willie Mack has no idea that Swinger is underneath the mask as he talks about their match tonight.

It's time for Locker Room Talk. Tonight's guest is Madison Rayne, who interviews herself while switching seats. Madison Rayne announces that at Slammiversary, she will compete in the Knockouts Contender's Gauntlet and take back her throne in the Knockouts division. Suddenly, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz interrupt, wanting to know where her guest is, then Havok and Nevaeh show up and agree with Kiera and Tasha before attacking them, starting a brawl.

Backstage, Hernandez wins another arm wrestling match, then has an arm wrestling match with Rhino. The match ends with "To Be Continued..." before the match can get going.

Willie Mack beats Suicide (who is still Johnny Swinger in disguise) after "Swingicide" falls down and hits his head on the top turnbuckle as he climbs to the top rope.



Backstage, Moose formally apologizes to Moose and mockingly retracts his statements from last week, then Moose shows up, knowing this is all the joke. Dreamer then tells Moose that that the TNA Championship committee has made him #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Moose says there is no committee, and says Dreamer just had to ask for a title match. Dreamer counters by saying there is no TNA.

Sami Callihan beats "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander after "All Ego" Ethan Page takes out the referee only to be put in an ankle lock by Ken Shamrock as he goes for a Cactus Special on Callihan. After the match, Shamrock and Callihan have a staredown, then Callihan teleports out of the ring.




After the show, Slammiversary is advertised again, but at the end of the advertisement, three people take a glass of whiskey instead of one.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for June 23, 2020

Tasha Steelz beats Nevaeh with a schoolkid pin following the distraction by Kiera Hogan.



We see an excerpt from Deonna Purrazzo's recent interview on Busted Open Radio where Jordynne Grace confronts Purrazzo, saying she will "fucking crush her" when they meet in the ring. Deonna calls Jordynne "jealous" and "classless," and says that when they meet in the ring, she will become Knockouts Champion.

Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo says that Jordynne Grace wants to put her hands on her, but she came to Impact to become a champion. Suddenly, Alisha Edwards shows up to give some advice, but Deonna wants nothing to do with her. This leads to Alisha Edwards challenging her to a match.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger meets with Rich Swann and tries to get him to be his and Chris Bey's mystery partner tonight. Swann says he is still injured, that Willie is still his friend, and that he will tell Willie what he tried to do.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Bully Ray vs. Devon from November 1, 2012.

Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page tells "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander it annoys him to no end that everyone "drools over Ken Shamrock" and that he does not get the hype while he and Josh are the two best wrestlers in Impact today. He says that they should get more matches and more money, but they are getting no attention and he is getting angrier and angrier. Suddenly, Shamrock shows up and tells him that him nothing came easy for him. Alexander challenges Shamrock to a match, which Shamrock is all too willing to accept.

Backstage, Moose says nobody is taking him seriously as champion when Crazzy Steve shows up and calls Moose a fake world champion. He says that if Moose is a champion, then he has a top ten hit on Billboard. Crazzy Steve continues to mock Moose, who tells Steve that he has earned a title opportunity and that he will realize who the real world champion is when he sends him to the hospital.

Deonna Purrazzo beats Alisha Edwards by submission. After the match, Jordynne Grace chases Deonna Purrazzo out of the ring.



Backstage, Johnny Swinger is seen asking Suicide to be his and Chris Bey's mystery partner. Suicide walks away as soon as Swinger looks away from him.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger tries to talk Hernandez into being his and Chris Bey's mystery partner. Hernandez says he will do it if Swinger can beat him at arm wrestling. Hernandez beats him, then gives him a Rhino Micro Brawler as a consolation prize. He then runs into Taya Valkyrie and asks her to be his and Chris Bey's partner, but Taya refuses and says she is looking for John E. Bravo.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page tells "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) attack Ken Shamrock before the next match begins and easily overpower him, and Ethan Page stomps on Shamrock as Alexander puts him in the ankle lock.



Taya Valkyrie beats Susie.



After the match, Taya mocks Susie before choking her out with her hair, then Kylie Rae shows up and smacks Taya with a superkick.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Madman Fulton, but Ace Austin shows up and says he should worry less about what Fulton thinks and more about what he does. He says that Fulton has potential, and that their alliance is all about becoming the greatest Impact World Champion of all time.

Backstage, Chris Bey meets with Johnny Swinger, who says he has got his "original pick:" Rohit Raju. Chris Bey is not happy with Swinger's pick for their mystery partner.

Chris Bey, Johnny Swinger and Rohit Raju beat Willie Mack and The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake).



Backstage, Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) gives D'Lo Brown a hard time when TJP and Fallah Bahh show up and confront them for accusing them of attacking Trey Miguel. This leads to Reno Scum challenging them to a match next week.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for June 9, 2020



Michael Elgin beats Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan in a Triple Threat Match after exposing a top turnbuckle as Shamrock pulls him away from it during an ankle lock. After Elgin sends Callihan into Shamrock, sending Shamrock into the exposed turnbuckle as a result, Elgin hits Shamrock with the Elgin Bomb for the win. After the match, Shamrock and Callihan lock eyes, then Callihan makes the arena dark and disappears.



In a backstage interview with Gia Miller, Jordynne Grace says coming to Impact Wrestling is like coming home, and that the uneasy thing is being stuck at home while only able to study and train. She says she is ready for a return to normalcy, which to her is dominating the competition. When she drives Taya Valkyrie's head into the mat, she will know that everything is back to normal.

Backstage, Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz talk about recent events with Trey Miguel, who wants to know who jumped him backstage. Suddenly, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) show up and say that they will beat them next week. Ethan Page tries to imply that Zachary attacked Trey, then says that The Rascalz (Xavier, Wentz, Miguel) should be worried about them. Page then tells Trey to watch his back.

Tasha Steelz beats Susie with a cutter following the distraction from Kiera Hogan on the ring apron.



Gia Miller waits backstage to interview Ace Austin. Austin suddenly shows up and says that he will be crowned Impact World Champion since the champion isn't showing up to work. Moose shows up and says it is a shame that he is facing Tessa and not him. Austin says "It's a good looking belt," and leaves, then Hernandez says they can go at it next week instead of Slammiversary. Moose backs away.

Backstage, Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz celebrate Tasha's victory, then run into Havok and Neveah. Kiera says they're just celebrating, and Havok says they can't blame them for being scared. Neveah challenges them to a tag team match, but they say "not tonight."

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is a Mike Bennett promo from May 17, 2016.

Backstage, Rohit Raju confronts Rhino, saying he should be treating him like a tag team partner. Rhino says he's already got one who's got kids, then said he taught him a lesson due to his constant complaining. Raju attacks Rhino, but Rhino fights back.

Backstage, Taya Valkyrie looks for John E. Bravo.

Willie Mack and Cousin Jake beat Johnny Swinger and Chris Bey. After the match, Bey and Swinger attack Mack and Jake, then Cody Deaner shows up from his quarantine from the middle of nowhere and overpowers them. Afterwards, Cody is overjoyed to see Jake.



At the bar, John E. Bravo is with Rosemary when Taya Valkyrie shows up wanting to know where John E. Bravo has been. Rosemary says he has been keeping her company, then after Taya gives her a gift, Rosemary says she has one for her in return.

Scott D'Amore is in the ring. He says that Impact has not delivered when it comes to the Impact World Championship, and while Ace Austin won the finals, Tessa Blanchard is still not in the building. Suddenly, Austin shows up. Austin announces that he is the new Impact World Champion, then Michael Elgin shows up and says the match he should have won did not happen. He says that Austin will have to deal with him to lay claim on the World title. Elgin then gives Austin two choices: get out of the ring or fight him. He then says that everyone who fights him cannot handle him, then Eddie Edwards shows up for the first time in weeks. Eddie says he is not afraid of Elgin and that he has beaten him before, and that asking for a championship one has not rightfully earned is not what Impact Wrestling is about. Austin insists that Scott D'Amore was going to crown him the Impact World Championship, but D'Amore tells him he has to fight to become a champion and that at Slammiversary, all three men will earn the right to be champion when Tessa defends in a five-way match. When Austin confronts D'Amore about the match being a five-way, D'Amore tells him to turn around. Austin gets nailed with a springboard drop kick from Trey Miguel, and this starts a brawl.



Backstage, Gia Miller tries to interview Deonna Purrazzo, but finds out that she is not in her dressing room.

#CancelCulture (Rob Van Dam, Katie Forbes, Joseph P. Ryan, Jake Crist) shows up. Joseph P. Ryan introduces the world to "Jacob Crist," whom he says is a new man who is now for everyone instead of versus everything and that he is now "your biggest advocate" to make Impact the greatest safe space it can and should be. Because of this, Crist will teach "Mentally Unwell Steven" a lesson that words can hurt and that words that hurt will get someone hurt.



Jacob Crist beats Crazzy Steve following the distraction from Joseph P. Ryan.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for June 2, 2020



Kiera Hogan and Tasha Steelz beat Kylie Rae and Susie.



Backstage, Ace Austin says he does not dwell on the past and always looks forward to the future, and says that his future is him as world champion. Suddenly, Moose shows up and congratulates Ace on his progress in the #1 contender's tournament. He goes on to say how prestigious his TNA World Heavyweight Championship is, and says that if Austin wins tonight, he should go after his championship, as the Impact World title is "a second-rate title."

Joseph P. Ryan beats Crazzy Steve with a superkick following the distraction and interference by oVe (Jake and Dave Crist). After the match, Ryan says that everyone now knows why it is important to Cancel Culture to silence those who want to oppose them, then asks oVe if they want to join. They say yes, then Ryan asks if Jake is willing to put Cancel Culture in front of everything and everyone. Jake says yes, then lays out his brother Dave and leaves with Ryan. With that, oVe is no more.



Rohit Raju beats Chase Stevens using referee Brandon Tolle as a shield. After the match, Rohit Raju brags in front of the camera while Rhino sneaks up from behind, and when Rohit turns around, he gets a Gore from Rhino.



Backstage, Neveah says that she has been watching Havok, and she is still watching to make sure she is okay. She says that Havok is dangerous on her own, but together, they are a force, and now they have arrived as a team.

It's time for Locker Room Talk. This week's guest is Chris Bey. Madison Rayne has to rein in Johnny Swinger's excitement regarding Chris Bey as a guest, but this doesn't stop Johnny from speaking for him, saying he can have anything he wants as he has it going on. When asked if he can beat Willie Mack for the X Division Championship, saying he has all it takes to do that and be both a single and tag team performer, calling him "one of those amphibious people." Swinger then says they will have a tag team match with Willie Mack and Cousin Jake next week, and after Chris Bey agrees to that, he says that Swinger will help him win the X Division Championship.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Jordynne Grace, who says she has been training and scouting the competition at home when Taya Valkyrie shows up. Taya says she would have never taken time off as Knockouts Champion, and while Jordynne has been slacking off and waiting to defend her title, she is game to face Taya with the title on the line tonight. Taya tries to get out of the match, but when Jordynne asks if next week is fine, Taya falls silence. Jordynne then tells Taya she will see her next week.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) beat TJP and Fallah Bahh after Xavier - with help from Wentz - counters TJP's knee bar with a bridge pin attempt that ends up winning The Rascalz the match and #1 contendership for the Impact World Tag Team Championships.



We hear from "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo. She says she is a threat to those who does not give her what she deserves, and she has long been prepared for Impact Wrestling. She then asks if Impact is ready for her when she debuts next week.

Rosemary and John E. Bravo are outside of the bar, and John E. Bravo realizes that he is having more fun with Rosemary while he has been whipped into submission by Taya. Rosemary asks Bravo to work for her, and tells him that all he has to do is bite an apple. Before he can do that, Bravo gets a call from Taya Valkyrie asking him to get her dog food despite being on the other side of the country, then leaves, much to the surprise of Rosemary.

Michael Elgin shows up unannounced, demanding the producer play his music. He then says that his time in Impact has constantly gone up and down, and as he says that he beat himself when he lost to Trey Miguel, Sami Callihan makes his presence known. Elgin says that Sami will not show his face as he has never gotten the job done against him, and says that if they are having the tournament finals, they will have to deal with him first and tell him he is either #1 contender or champion. Suddenly, Ken Shamrock shows up, and both Shamrock and Elgin start brawling in the ring. Shamrock then tries to put Elgin in an ankle lock, but Elgin rolls out of the ring and retreats.



Before the next match, it is revealed that Trey Miguel has been laid out backstage. After Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz find Trey and Wentz goes after who he thinks did it, Ace Austin proclaims that he has to be declared #1 contender. Suddenly, Zachary Wentz runs into the ring and confronts Ace Austin, and another referee shows up to hold Wentz back. Scott D'Amore shows up and makes Wentz the substitute for Trey.

Ace Austin beats Zachary Wentz to become #1 contender to the Impact World Championship.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 7, 2020

Madison Rayne guests on commentary for this week.

Willie Mack shows up to start tonight's show. He calls Ace Austin and Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) cowards for what they did to Rich Swann, and dares them to do it to him. Willie Mack then calls out Ace Austin, telling him to get in the ring. Reno Scum shows up, but Willie Mack is okay with fighting them both at once.



Willie Mack beats Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) in a two-on-one handicap match. After the match, Willie Mack is attacked from behind by Ace Austin, then Reno Scum hold down Willie Mack so that Ace Austin can hit The Fold.

Backstage, Kylie Rae is met by Gail Kim, who is excited to see her in the company. She is also met by Susie, and as they start to get along, Kiera Hogan shows up and says there are no friends in Impact and that everyone is fake. She also mentions that Kylie is facing her at Rebellion and that she won't be able to stand her heat. When Susie says "That's bad," Kiera Hogan challenges her to a match.

Chris Bey beats Daga after blocking a Sunset Flip and using the middle rope for leverage at the last second during a pinfall attempt.



This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is the Xscape Match from Lockdown 2011.

Backstage, Taya whacks John E. Bravo - who is wearing a football helmet while wrapped in pillows and duct tape - with a steel chair in the back of a production truck.

At the treehouse, Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier talk about The North vs. Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards. Dezmond says it will be tough to watch due to The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) coming to hang out, while Wentz says he invited TJP and Fallah Bahh. After Trey Miguel mentions that he invited Triple XL (Larry D and Acey Romero), The Deaners show up with some beer, then TJP and Fallah Bahh show up with some food that nobody is interested in. This is before Triple XL show up, who help themselves before sitting next to Trey, who has to make some for them as he leaves. Wentz leaves along with Trey, awkwardly leaving Dezmond alone with everyone else.

Havok beats Madison Rayne.



Backstage, Tessa Blanchard meets with Eddie Edwards, saying she doesn't need his help and that she wants to fight her battle alone. Eddie says he could have left her alone, but he has been in her situation and that sometimes, when someone reaches their hand out, you have to take it. He is offering his hand so that she can be a World and Tag Team Champion, and the choice of whether or not to take it is up to her.



Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Ken Shamrock. Shamrock says that the heat from Sami Callihan's fireball penetrated his eyes and did some damage to the retina, and he had to put drops in his eyes with antibiotics in them for weeks to prevent them from being infected. He admits it was scary for a while, and that he was afraid he would not get his sight back for a week. Shamrock says that Callihan has no respect for anyone trying to make a living in the ring, and while he wants to win, he will not do it at the expense of others. He says that Callihan will do that at someone's expense, and that he does not care if his opponent can put food on their table. He says that he is trying to maintain his composure so that his match with Callihan can happen, as there is a "no touch" clause. As the interview is about to wrap up, the broadcast and lights are hacked, and Shamrock leaves the room to go after Callihan.



Tommy Dreamer and Rhino beat oVe (Jake and Dave Crist). After the match, Madman Fulton - who was ejected from ringside for grabbing Dreamer form behind - runs in and boots Rhino out of the ring before flattening Dreamer.



Rosemary is at the bar when she runs into Johnny Swinger, who tries to hit on her before stating that he is bringing somebody named "M. Jackson" to Impact next week. Rosemary then tells Swinger she wants nothing to do with him.

Kiera Hogan beats Susie as Susie looks for the glove for the Mandible Claw that Su Yung has.



Backstage, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) are met by Michael Elgin, and asks one of them to step aside so he can get their hands on Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards. As Alexander gets angry, Page says they will soften Tessa and Eddie up so that Elgin can beat them up. When Elgin asks what happens if The North loses tonight, Page gets angry. Elgin tells The North to channel that anger in the ring.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Tenille Dashwood, who says that Taya Valkyrie thinks she is bigger than the entire women's division, and that she has "lost the plot" since losing the Knockouts Championship. She also announces that Taya has a one-on-one match with her next week after having a word with Impact management.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact World Tag Team Championships against Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards after Tessa refuses to tag Eddie in. After the match, Tessa tells Eddie Edwards that she knows Eddie only wants the World title as both of them argue. After Eddie leaves the ring, Michael Elgin runs in and attacks Tessa from behind, and Eddie heads to the back as Elgin hits an Elgin Bomb on Tessa.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 4, 2020



Tessa Blanchard shows up to start tonight's show. She says she has been hearing that Ace Austin has been saying, and that Austin likes to play mind games and get under her skin. She says she doesn't run from a fight and that she is hard to kill, but not hard to find. She also says that she tends to get a little bit impatient, and calls out Austin for a fight. Austin shows up with Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend), and Adam Thornstowe decides to take on Tessa in the ring.

Tessa Blanchard beats Adam Thornstowe. After the match, Luster the Legend and Ace Austin attack Tessa, then Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) hold Tessa down so that Austin can kick Tessa in the gut. Before Austin can hit Tessa with his cane, Tommy Dreamer shows up and swings at Austin and Reno Scum with a Kendo stick, making the save for Tessa. Austin and Reno Scum retreat.



Backstage, Taya Valkyrie butts in on a conversation between Madison Rayne and Kiera Hogan, who refuses to help Taya with Jordynne Grace.

We see footage from during the break where Tommy Dreamer challenges Ace Austin to a Falls Count Anywhere Street Fight later tonight. The match is official for later tonight. Afterwards, the show is hacked by Sami Callihan.

Rhino vs. Taurus ends with Moose attacking both men.



Backstage, Michael Elgin says that he used to look up to Eddie Edwards and looked up to him, but now Eddie is looking up to him after he beat him in the first match of their best of five series. Elgin says he only wants the World title, and he will uphold the promise that he will be better than him when he beats him in the next two weeks and gets to call his shot.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger meets with The Desi Hit Squad (Gama Singh, Rohit Raju, Mahabali Shera), saying that "The Mack and Pack Connection" is here to issue a challenge. Swinger tells Mahabali Shera that Willie Mack wants to face him one-on-one, and Shera accepts.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Beer Money ("The Cowboy" James Storm and Bobby Roode) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Devon) from Sacrifice 2010.

Backstage, Taya Valkyrie talks with Rosemary, who is more preoccupied with what is going on around the corner. Father James Mitchell passes by listening to music on his iPhone, and Rosemary grabs him and locks him behind a door.

Backstage, Havok tries to open the door that Father James Mitchell is locked behind, but Rosemary rushes towards her and puts her in a sleeper hold, sending her into unconsciousness.

Rosemary vs. Susie ends with Rosemary egging Susie on to the outside, with both women brawl their way to the back.



Backstage, Father James Mitchell notices both Havok and Susie down on a flight of stairs. Mitchell tells Rosemary that she has doomed everyone, as Susie is now Su Yung again.

TJP beats El Hijo del Vikingo with a crossface. After the match, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) attack Vikingo and TJP, and Fallah Bahh gets in the ring to confront The North, who get out.



Backstage, Katie Forbes confronts Joey Ryan about his words from last week, and Joey is soon attacked from behind by Rob Van Dam.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Rob Van Dam, who says that he is cool as a cucumber and that Joey Ryan will find out just how cool he is next week.

Daga and Dr. Wagner Jr. beat oVe (Jake and Dave Crist). After the match, Madman Fulton goes on the warpath and attacks Daga and Dr. Wagner Jr.



Backstage, Johnny Swinger asks Willie Mack what he did to anger Mahabali Shera, and says that Shera wants to face him one-on-one. Swinger says he has his back, but Mack says he can beat Shera on his own.
