In Dayton, Ohio, Madman Fulton and Ace Austin are in town. Fulton is disappointed to be back in Dayton, but Austin says that sometimes you have to go back to where you started to get where you want to go.

We see footage of Hernandez and Rhino having arm wrestling matches in various places.

Moose tries to ask Hernandez and Rhino to be his tag team partner. After that, Moose runs into Hernandez, causing Rhino to win. Hernandez keeps Rhino from taking his money, telling him that if he wants to win, they will do it outside.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is the Ultimate X Match from Slammiversary 2013.

The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) beat XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D) after Cody tags Cousin Jake while up for a sit-out powerbomb from Larry D. Larry D hits the powerbomb, but Jake pins an unknowing Larry D with a schoolkid pin for the victory. After the match, XXXL attack The Deaners, and they hit Cousin Jake with a devastating double-team.

Backstage, Moose asks Rohit Raju to be his tag team partner as a last result. Rohit takes exception to being a last resort, but ultimately says yes.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger tells Chris Bey to trust in him as he gets everything straightened out for Slammiversary. Swinger confronts the referee and says he has rights as an "emotional support companion" with the card to prove it. After Swinger threatens a lawsuit, Swinger is back at ringside at Slammiversary after the referee says he does not want any trouble.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger overhears Chris Bey saying he is the next X Division Champion while calling Swinger an "old head," making it clear he doesn't really want to be around Swinger and that he is just using him to get to the title. Swinger tells Chris Bey that "the office won't budge" and that he is on his own this Sunday.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs moderates a face-to-face contract signing between Deonna Purrazzo vs. Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship at Slammiversary. Deonna signs the contract and tells Jordynne she has no idea what she is getting into and that she is facing class and sophistication when she enters the ring, and that she will leave without the title. Jordynne signs the contract, then slams Deonna's face into the table after telling her she does not know what she is getting into, either.

Crazzy Steve and Tommy Dreamer beat Moose and Rohit Raju.

Madman Fulton and Ace Austin make their way into Fulton's old gym.

Outside of the arena, Rhino and Hernandez have a street fight over Hernandez's money. Rhino takes the money after kicking Hernandez near the groin, but Hernandez tries to choke him out with a bandanna. Rhino almost takes the money again, but Hernandez throws a traffic cone at him. Weapons are now involved, but with both men start using their fists and hitting each other with a ground-and-pound. After both men collide into a fence, both men agree to split the money and shake hands.

As he and Madman Fulton train at Fulton's old gym, Ace Austin talks about how he a fresh new face a year ago and how he has risen to the main event of Slammiversary due to his insatiable appetite for success. He says that Slammiversary will be about him becoming the face of the industry and the youngest World Champion of all time.

Trey Miguel talks with Zachary Wentz about how much he does not like the idea of a mystery opponent when he finds out that Ace Austin is working out at their gym. Trey and Wentz head to the gym.

Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz sneak into the gym as Ace Austin chews out a member of staff. Wentz throws a trash can he brings into the room at Madman Fulton, then traps him in a closet. Trey gets Ace Austin in the training ring and brawls with him after Fulton escapes the closet and chases Wentz. Fulton soon shows up to catch Ace, but Wentz returns to back Trey up. Ace and Fulton retreat.

Somebody is seen mailing something to Scott D'Amore via FedEx. D'Amore opens the FedEx package and says that Slammiversary just got more exciting.

After the match, Reno Scum brawl with TJP and Fallah Bahh backstage. Jordynne Grace beats Kimber Lee. After the match, Deonna Purrazzo shows up on the video screen and says she came to become champion, not to take part in "frivolous combat." She tells Grace she will have to wait until Slammiversary to have her in the ring.

We see a video package for the four-way match for the vacant Impact World Championship at Slammiversary.

Backstage, Johnny Swinger - dressed as Suicide - runs into Willie Mack. Amazingly, Willie Mack has no idea that Swinger is underneath the mask as he talks about their match tonight.

It's time for Locker Room Talk. Tonight's guest is Madison Rayne, who interviews herself while switching seats. Madison Rayne announces that at Slammiversary, she will compete in the Knockouts Contender's Gauntlet and take back her throne in the Knockouts division. Backstage, Moose formally apologizes to Moose and mockingly retracts his statements from last week, then Moose shows up, knowing this is all the joke. Dreamer then tells Moose that that the TNA Championship committee has made him #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Moose says there is no committee, and says Dreamer just had to ask for a title match. Dreamer counters by saying there is no TNA.

Sami Callihan beats "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander after "All Ego" Ethan Page takes out the referee only to be put in an ankle lock by Ken Shamrock as he goes for a Cactus Special on Callihan. After the match, Shamrock and Callihan have a staredown, then Callihan teleports out of the ring.

After the show, Slammiversary is advertised again, but at the end of the advertisement, three people take a glass of whiskey instead of one.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for March 3, 2020

The show begins with the words "#NashvilleStrong" on the screen in support of those affected by a tornado that has recently hit the city.

TJP and Fallah Bahh beat The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander).

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Tessa Blanchard to start tonight's show. Tessa says that Taya Valkyrie might have a lot of history, and while she beat her for the Knockouts Championship, that was over a year ago and Taya is now stepping into the ring with a different Tessa Blanchard who is now World Champion. She says that tonight feels special and that history will be made, and when people look back on tonight, they will see it as the night when two women stood across from each other for the first time for the World Championship. Suddenly, Eddie Edwards shows up and says he has respect for her, and it is because of that respect for her that he is letting her know that he will be waiting if she retains tonight, for when he beats Michael Elgin and retains the Shoot Your Shot Trophy, he will be calling his shot for the World title at Rebellion. Tessa tells Eddie that she hopes to see him there, then they tap the Women's title and the Shoot Your Shot Trophy together.

Moose beats Petey Williams.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the week is Amazing Red vs. Kid Kash for the NWA X Division Championship on April 3, 2003.

Backstage, Madison Rayne has some women exercising as part of her own boot camp. She eliminates Mazzerati as well as a woman with green hair, then Kiera Hogan shows up wanting to know what is going on. Madison says she is giving back and that she is a philantrophist trying to create the next generation of Knockouts, which she tried to do with Hogan before Hogan "didn't follow the plan." As Hogan takes exception to this, one of the women (who is independent wrestler Lacey Ryan) gets in Hogan's face. She ends up "winning" boot camp while everyone else leaves, including Hogan.

Acey Romero beats Joey Ryan when Ryan decides against flipping Acey after making Acey "touch it."

Backstage, Willie Mack is met by Johnny Swinger and Glenn Gilberti, who think that the arena is sold out because of them as they challenge Willie Mack to a tag team match with a partner of his choosing. Willie says he'll take them on himself.

Backstage, Rob Van Dam meets with Katie Forbes and Joey Ryan. Katie says that Joey "gets it," saying he knows what it is like for the fans to talk trash about them on social media.

Su Yung - now no longer "Susie" - beats Havok in a no-disqualification match. After the match, Su Yung's undead bridesmaids return with a coffin, and as Rosemary tries to put Havok in a coffin and send her to the undead realm, Havok fights back and escapes to the back.

After the match, the mysterious "ICU" strikes again, and a short, mysterious video is played.

We see a vignette of Tenille Dashwood in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We see another edition of Gut Check. Scott D'Amore is not impressed with any of the prospects, including Tony Gunn, who comes off to him and the trainers as disrespectful. John E. Bravo chews out Tony Gunn for the disrespect as well as spitting on his opponent and the ring, as well as for taking a picture of himself in front of the ring in the Can-Am Dojo. Scott D'Amore decides not to sign anybody from last week.

Backstage, Gabi Loren interviews Taya Valkyrie, who tells Tessa Blanchard that she has somehow convinced the wrestling world that she is the best in the world, and while she is World Champion, she sees right through her. She calls Tessa "selfish" and a "master manipulator" who has gotten the fans drunk on her Kool-Aid and says that she is the only sober person here. Taya then says Tessa's fairy tale is over, and the bad guy wins, with the bad guy being her.

Tessa Blanchard retains the Impact World Championship against Taya Valkyrie after John E. Bravo's distraction backfires.
