Generation NXT - NXT recap for June 9, 2026

Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) beat Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno. After the match, both men shake hands, and after Frazer tells Noam that he has found his tag team partner, Moreno hugs Noam.

Backstage, Wren Sinclair tells Kendal that she will do fine without her, and that she will talk to Robert Stone about starting a new tournament for the Women's Speed Championship. Lola Vice shows up after Sinclair leaves, and Lola wishes Kendal luck before telling her that she hit her on accident, but Kendal notes that this is the second time this has happened and that she is not exactly buying it.

Sarah Schreiber reports from the Mr. NXT Pageant. Aaron Rourke, Kit Wilson and comedian Matt Mathews are the three judges. The first category is attire. Matt Mathews gives Shiloh Hill the nod, saying "That's a man right there," but Kit Wilson picks Tristan Angels over Shiloh, calling Shiloh's choices of attire "T for tacky." Rourke says he likes what Shiloh has going on, but he gives the nod to Tristan.

Naraku beats Mason Rook to become #1 contender for the NXT Championship following the distraction by Kam Hendrix.

Backstage, Tavion Heights, still angry about last week, thinks that Myles Borne only cares about the North American Championship and threatens to challenge Borne for it. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake, Myka Lockwood) shows up, and Jackson Drake sarcastically states that Myles Borne is a great champion for handing out title opportunities to friends, then calls Tavion Heights a charity case. Tavion says he does not do hand-outs, yet he does hand out ass-whuppings. This leads to Drake challenging Tavion to a match where the winner challenges Borne for the North American Championship at The Great American Bash.

Wren Sinclair wishes Kendal Grey luck before the next match.

Tate Wilder is this week's NXT Spotlight.

Kendal Grey beats Kelani Jordan to become #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship.

Sarah Schreiber reports from the second round of the Mr. NXT Pageant. Shiloh Hill's special talent is completing the Rubik's Cube in seconds before balancing two dumbbells on strings. Tristan Angels butts in to try to better Shiloh on the Rubik's Cube, but he exposes himself when he goes way past time. Angels breaks the cube by throwing it to the ground, then juggles three balls. Shiloh beats him by juggling three balls while riding a unicycle, and wins the talent portion.

Backstage, Blake Howard intevrviews Tony D'Angelo. D'Angelo says that Naraku had an incredible match, but despite his accomplishments, he does not get Naraku. He says that Naraku will have to bring everything he has to beat him before Naraku arrives and hands D'Angelo a black envelope and bows before him. Inside is a card.

Dion Lennox beats Jasper Troy. During the match, Saquon Shugars appears on the TitanTron, which briefly distracts Lennox. After the match, we see a video from Saquon Shugars that keeps buffering. All of a sudden, Saquon shows up from out of the crowd with a baseball bat and attacks Osiris Griffin.

We see an Instagram video of Jaida Parker and Nattie going at it at the Performance Center while everyone nearby tries to break up the brawl.

The public speaking portion of the Mr. NXT Pageant takes place in the ring. Tristan Angels says being the inaugural Mr. NXT is a task fit most for one man, and brags about being Mr. England and representing the country in international pageantry as well as how he was born a humble sheepherder so he can relate to the fans, who he trashes. He also says that he is celebrating his 23rd birthday and has "Mister NXT" tattooed on his leg, and says that the judges should take a long walk off of a short cliff if they even consider voting for "a hillbilly." Shiloh Hill says that he found out that the hardest part of the pageant is figuring out how to represent himself, and says that things change so fast that he is a different person each week. He says that he has yet to find himself, but that is what NXT is all about, and as long as he is willing to roll with the punches, everything will be right, and he embodies that very well, which is why he should be Mr. NXT. Matt Mathews is impressed with Shiloh Hill's ability to be himself, then says that he is glad Tristan Angels got rid of his "ramen noodle" hair before saying he does nothing for him. He picks Shiloh. Kit Wilson calls Shiloh's "raccoon thing" toxic, but also says that while Tristan is also toxic, there is also something about him, and picks Tristan. Aaron Rourke says that while Shiloh Hill embraces who he is, Tristan Angels looks the part, and leaves the final vote up to the fans. The fan vote results are revealed, and Shiloh Hill becomes the first Mr. NXT. Tristan Angels attacks Shiloh Hill with his cane, then hits him with a lungblower. Tristan then grabs a metal folding chair and strikes Shiloh repeatedly with it before driving him head-first into it with his knee.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone congratulates Naraku on becoming #1 contender for the NXT Championship. Keanu Carver shows up wanting a shot at the NXT Championship, then says that he is losing patience and wants some action. Stone says Carver will have an opponent next week, and Carver says that if that does not happen, he will pick who he faces next.

Backstage, Izzi Dame finds out that she is in the upcoming Women's Speed Championship tournament thanks to Shawn Spears, who wants to keep her on top of the women's division. He also mentions that Izzi's first opponent is Thea Hail, who Izzi dominated to become NXT North American Women's Champion. Izzi thinks this is a great idea.

Zaria beats Tatum Paxley (who wears Rouge the Bat-inspired gear for the match) to become the NXT North American Women's Champion after Tatum Paxley misses on a moonsault from the ring apron to the outside, allowing Zaria to hit an offensive flurry that leads to a third Spear and a second F-5 for the pin, the win and the title.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 9, 2025

John Cena heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Cena says the fans teach him everything every time they open their mouths, and the fans taught him at Money in the Bank that "truth is a lie" after they wasted their time protecting a sideshow comedian whose greatest achievement is pretending to be him. He says that this accomplished nothing and that they are spineless keyboard warriors and ignorant armchair activists who do not have the power to change anything. He calls R-Truth a gimmick the fans will chew up, spit out and not care about in a year. Cena then says that R-Truth will never be able to use him for one of his pity parties ever again before declaring that this is his farewell tour, which is down to ninteen dates. He says that the tour is halfway done, and tells the fans to use their voice to send him competition instead of sending in the class clown, as he has beaten the best of everyone the fans have cheered for. Suddenly, CM Punk arrives. Punk asks Cena if he is comfortable, as he has a lot to get off his chest and he is prepared to have this conversation with this fist, and that Cena will listen to everything he has to say right now. Punk addresses the irony of Cena wanting to destroy the WWE establishment while he has to defend it, but instead of defending corporate interests, he is here to defend the fans. He states that the fans picked him all those years ago to represent him while Cena was the corporate choice, and that while Cody Rhodes was the best the fans had, John Cena beat him by cheating and taking cheap shots. After Punk declares that the fans have made him their boss, Cena raises up the WWE Championship, and Punk states that he has to give the fans what they want, and if they want truth, they will get it. He mentions talking about how he was a spoke on a wheel in the past and states that Cena is one, too, and proclaims that he will take the WWE Championship from him. He also mentions that even Cena knows what he is doing is wrong. Punk says that once he takes Cena's title, Cena's farewell tour will be an apology tour, as the WWE Championship has corrupted Cena must like how it corrupted him. He says that the championship made him a monster and that he did not want the championship again, but he knows he must become a monster to stop the monster, as the championship belongs to the people. Punk states that after tonight, Cena has eighteen dates left, and he will leave it to Cena to decide which date he will take his title, and if Cena has any courage, he will say that date is tonight. Cena entertains the idea, then says "Let's do it!" He then says they will not do it tonight, and that they will do it at Night of Champions. He then tells Punk the ball is in his court. Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, Bronson Reed, Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman then show up, and Rollins smiles as he holds up the Money in the Bank briefcase.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles beats Chad Gable after rolling out of the ankle lock and rolling into a Styles Clash for the win.

Becky Lynch heads to the ring. Becky says she does not need the fans to tell her she deserves her championship victory because she knows she does, then states that she should be celebrating right now after winning just about every other title and doing everything there is. She says that the Women's Intercontinental Championship is all about opportunity, yet the biggest opportunity is has had is her holding it, and while she should be celebrating, Lyra Valkyria ruined everything. Becky states that Lyra is so enraged about her being the winner that she shook her hand so aggressively that she thought Lyra dislocated her shoulder, and that while she extended an olive branch, Lyra "lost it and tried to kill [her]." Becky demands Lyra come to the ring and not only apologize to her, but raise her hand and raise it right. An angry Lyra shows up, but all of a sudden, Becky is attacked from behind by Bayley. Becky tries to run away, but Lyra catches her and throws her back into the ring. Bayley goes for a Rose Plant, but Becky escapes and runs away through the crowd.

R-Truth suddenly shows up clad in all black. He tells the fans to let nobody tell them that they and their voices do not matter, as "they heard, they listened, they felt and they understood." He says he is back because of and for the fans, and that he is back for himself. He then says they not only got R-Truth back, but they got him, and while the fans love R-Truth and he does, too, R-Truth can be too funny, too nice and too forgiving. He then says that he is none of those things and that he feels both different and alive, and for anyone who thinks he is "a sideshow act" or a "gimmick," he pulls out a pair of scissors and cuts off his dreadlocks. R-Truth then declares that the truth has set him free, and that he is Ron Killings, the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth before demanding respect be put on his name. He leaves through the crowd.

Backstage, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh meet with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. Finn thinks it is strange that Dominik is in the King of the Ring Tournament, but Dominik says Finn had his chance and that he thought he did not mind representing The Judgment Day (Finn, McDonagh, Dominik, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) in the tournament. Finn smiles, then Roxanne Perez shows up, and Finn congratulates her. Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, who says that he cannot stop thinking about what happened last week. He says that Seth "Freakin'" Rollins had Paul Heyman threaten him, and that he will punch anyone in the mouth who disrespects him. After AJ states that he will prove that to Rollins, Cathy Kelley sees and interviews The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods). Grayson Waller leaves, and The New Day says that they care about the World Tag Team Championships and refuse to state who their next challengers will be.

We see a vignette for Asuka, who returns next week.

Nikki Bella heads to the ring. Nikki says it is good to be back and thanks the fans for their support, admitting that she missed them a lot. She then announces that WWE Evolution is happening for a second time. She talks about main eventing the first one and how women's wrestling has advanced in WWE since then, then Liv Morgan suddenly shows up and demands Nikki mention her as she talks about who has taken the spotlight since then. Liv barks out her accolades as well as what she has been doing as of late, then says Nikki is lucky she was not around during her career as she would have beaten her before chalking the lack of a mention up to jealousy due to having everything Nikki did not. Liv goes on to say she has respect, a championship and a man, but Nikki asks if "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio belongs to Liv or Roxanne Perez before telling Liv to congratulate Liv on taking her title shot and her man. Liv says Nikki can say whatever she wants, as she is a champion while Nikki will always be "a reality show diva." Nikki gets back in the ring only for Liv to hit her with Ob-Liv-Ion.

Gunther beats "Main Event" Jey Uso by submission with multiple sleeper attempts to become World Heavyweight Champion for the second time.

Heyman says Jey has it all wrong, as it is all Jimmy's fault and nobody else's because Jimmy made up his own mind and not just for himself, but also for Jey. Heyman has Solo take a step back, then says he is taking a stance standing between Jey and Solo and telling Jey that Jimmy was the one to pull the trigger and that Jey was not in on it. He then says that he has arranged a match that will set Jey's trajectory to become the next Tribal Chief. Kevin Greene attacks Steve "Mongo" McMichael before Mongo's match with Konnan. Referees and security have to stop the brawl. As the cameras are focused on Greene and Mongo, it is revealed that Konnan is down and out in the ring, haven been attacked by a broom that now lays broken in the ring, and it is implied that Hugh Morrus is the attacker. The match ends in a no contest as the match never started.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff speak before the next match. Bischoff tells J.J. Dillon and the WCW Executive Committee "bite me," saying there is nobody who can force Hogan into the ring until he's ready. Hogan says hello to "all the nWo-ites out there," and says that if Luger wants a shot at him, he'd better start working out as he is not in enough shape to beat him, will never beat him in this lifetime or the next, and that he only wrestles or defends the WCW World Heavyweight Championship when he feels like it. He refuses to give them a match where he easily outclasses his opponent, then says the match isn't happening before he "gives 'em a piece of Hollywood" and poses for the crowd. Luger walks out with referee Randy Anderson behind him, then waits behind Hogan and Bischoff. Bischoff says there is no match, as does Hogan, who tells Luger he couldn't beat him in the ring in this lifetime and tells him to get out of the ring before he destroys him. Bischoff calls Luger and Sting "Hollywood wanna-bes" and says Luger wishes he was half the man Hogan was. Luger shoves Bischoff, then the match immediately begins. The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx) rush in soon after the bell rings, and Hogan gets back in the ring when they tell him they have his back.

Lex Luger beats "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan with the Torture Rack after he fights off The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx). The Wolfpack assault Luger after the match and also attack referee Randy Anderson, then Hulk Hogan hits the signature atomic leg drop right as the pyrotechnics go off to signify the start of the second hour. Hogan repeatedly hits Luger with leg drops before Hogan and The Wolfpack celebrate. Two referees have to help Luger to the back afterwards, then Hogan and Bischoff lay down in the ring and make fun of Luger. Hogan says Dennis Rodman was watching tonight, and says he'll make it up to him after beating only Luger tonight.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Executive Committee head J.J. Dillon. He plans to hold "Macho Man" Randy Savage accountable for his actions last week by means of a $50,000 fine. Savage will not, however, be suspended, and the match between Savage and Diamond Dallas Page at The Great American Bash will take place, and it will be an unsanctioned "lights out" match with no disqualifications, no count-outs and falls counting anywhere. Savage is in the crowd with Miss Elizabeth, and says he'll put his hands on Dillon again. Diamond Dallas Page shows up and tells Savage they can face each other right now. Savage tells Page he just made the dumbest move that he has ever made, and makes his way down to the ring through the fans. Security has to break both men apart as they go at it at ringside.

Lee Marshall calls from Chicago, Illinois - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.

Jeff Jarrett beats Dean Malenko with the Figure Four Leg Lock after Eddie Guerrero - who takes off his arm sling to reveal that he is no longer injured - hits Malenko with the frog splash from the top rope as Debra McMichael distracts the referee to win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, who is joined by The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian). He tells "The Crippler" Chris Benoit to be careful what he wishes for, as it might come true. He then introduces Benoit's final step: The Taskmaster, who has returned along with Miss Jacqueline. The Taskmaster says he is finally home at last and is still alive. He says it's been a long time since he crossed the river and made it in the wrestling business, and he thanks the fans that are home with him. He knows that Benoit has taken on Meng, whom he calls "the baddest man on the planet", and tells Benoit he knows that he is in the building and tells him he's not taking his hometown from him. Benoit shows up and he and The Taskmaster immediately start punching each other. It isn't long before the rest of the Dungeon of Doom attack Benoit.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) ends after Syxx gets involved. The rest of The Four Horsemen (Jeff Jarrett, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael) show up to assist Flair, then The New World Order rushes into the ring to even the odds. Kevin Greene shows up and fights off the nWo at first, but eventually ends up in a brawl with Mongo. Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) show up, but they are quickly attacked by The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) in the aisle and at the commentary table. Glacier rushes in, too, but he has to tend with Mortis and Wrath in the aisle. Juventud Guerrera, La Parka, Silver King and Super Calo fight each other in the aisle, and The Taskmaster and The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) show up to attack Benoit. "Macho Man" Randy Savage arrives to attack Flair, but Diamond Dallas Page goes after Savage only to be attacked by The Outsiders. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan shows up and hits Page and Flair with the World Heavyweight Championship before helping Savage. The show ends with Sting rappelling down to the ring, baseball bat in hand to keep The New World Order at bay. Nash is the first to get out of the ring and the first to be smacked with the bat, with Scott Norton to follow. Sting then rescues Page by tethering him to the cord that rappeled him down to ringside and making his way back up to the rafters, taking Page with him.
