Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 23, 2015
Seth Rollins and J&J Security (Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble) start the show. Rollins is glad that Orton got all the RKO's out of his system, because Orton won't be hitting him with it any time soon. Rollins also insists he doesn't need anyone else's help, especially an "aging former monster" like Kane. Kane shows up as if on cue, and tells him he could be either his friend or his foe on Sunday night. Rollins reminds Kane of what Triple H told him on Raw and tells him to stick to being a suit. Kane then says that since he and Rollins are talking like adults, he asks Rollins lay down for him like he did for Rollins, reminding him that he's in charge when Triple H isn't around and threatens to reach down his throat and pull his guts out if he refuses. Rollins reluctantly lays down, then Kane laughs it up, revealing it was all a joke in a way not unlike Randy Orton. His next action isn't a joke, however: he puts Rollins in a match against Dean Ambrose, and it's right now. When Ambrose shows up, though, Luke Harper shows up right behind him. Ambrose goes after Rollins, but Harper isn't far behind and Dean Ambrose eventually gets a 4-on-1 beatdown until Roman Reigns makes the save.
Before the next match, Sheamus tells Dolph Ziggler and Neville that he'll bring a ladder on Sunday so they won't have to stand on their toes to look at him. Sheamus and Bad News Barrett get jumped as a result.
Dolph Ziggler and Neville beat Sheamus and Bad News Barrett.
We see some videos from those who think they are Tough Enough.
Bray Wyatt is getting into somebody's head...
Naomi beats Natalya. After the match, Naomi kicks Natalya in the gut and laughs about it.
The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) make fun of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro to hilarious effect.
Lana and Rusev are in the ring. Lana brags about how Rusev made John Cena suffer with the Russian Chain. Lana and Rusev say they will take back what is theirs on Sunday, and that the Russian Chain will be Rusev's weapon and Cena's weakness. Rusev then says that Ryback will be the next American to fall.
Ryback beats Rusev by disqualification after Rusev hits Ryback with a steel chain. He then proceeds to perform an Accolade on Ryback with the chain.
Seth Rollins and J&J Security (Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble) find Luke Harper backstage. Joey Mercury is the one to get Harper to listen to them, and it's pretty clear Harper is raring to go. He tells Rollins to stay out of his way.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E) want Tyson Kidd and Cesaro to embrace positivity...and to become tag team champs.
Kofi Kingston beats Cesaro thanks to the distractions by Big E and Xavier Woods.
Big Show plans to knock out Roman Reigns this Sunday.
Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose beat Seth Rollins and Luke Harper after Kane, who is watching from ringside, tosses Rollins back into the ring to a waiting Reigns.

Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 16, 2015
John Cena starts the show. He thanks the London crowd for making Raw memorable this week, and then explains the Russian Chain Match that he will have with Rusev: they will both be tied to each other with a long steel chain, and the winner is the first person to touch all four corners respectively. He then issues the open challenge, which is answered by Tyson Kidd and Cesaro...but they're not interested in the open challenge. They're here to just drop some facts, and say that they're the best champs in WWE today. Cena tells them that one of them had better step up after running their mouths, but then Daniel Bryan shows up. After seeing what the fans think of him, Cena and the team of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, he tells Kidd and Cesaro to put their money where their mouths are and take them on in a tag team match against him and Cena. They accept.
Bray Wyatt beats R-Truth.
Roman Reigns states in a WWE.com exclusive interview that Big Show will have to continue to knock him down if he wants him to stay down.
The Miz is in the ring. He says Mizdow's win against him was a fluke and that it won't happen again. As he brags about how he's made things recently, Bad News Barrett shows up and says that the London crowd is here to see him and not some hotshot movie star.
Bad News Barrett beats The Miz with just one Bull Hammer after Miz turns around.
Renee Young interviews Damien Mizdow and Summer Rae. The Miz interrupts, telling Mizdow his victory on Monday was a fluke. He also tells Mizdow to go back to being Damien Sandow and to stop being like him. Mizdow starts mimicking Miz again, much to Miz's chagrin, and Summer Rae and Mizdow come up with an idea: a rematch on Monday where the winner gets to keep the Miz brand. Miz says he plans to put both Mizdow and Summer back on the unemployment line, and tells Summer to go back to lingerie football, which causes Summer to slap Miz (and Mizdow mimicking Miz's reaction).
Neville beats Sheamus by disqualification after Sheamus tosses Neville onto the commentary table. After the match, Sheamus repeatedly drops the knee on Neville until Dolph Ziggler makes the save. As Sheamus retreats, Ziggler calls him a bully, and says that he wants to throw down right now. Sheamus tells him to "kiss me arse," and makes the match between him and Ziggler a Kiss My Arse Match where the loser has to literally kiss the winner's ass.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) beat Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego).
Fandango tells Rosa Mendes to move on. The Rosebuds show up, and Adam Rose tells her not to give up as one day she'll be number one again in someone else's life.
Big Show shows up. He verbally craps on the London crowd, and brags about how nobody can stop him and how he slammed Roman Reigns into the car at the top of the ramp multiple times. He says he has asked for a stipulation for his match with Roman Reigns, and he's got it: Last Man Standing.
Cameron beats Natalya and Alicia Fox in a triple threat match.
Fandango beats Adam Rose after the distraction by a distraught Rosa Mendes.
Bray Wyatt speaks yet another cryptic message.
John Cena and Daniel Bryan beat Tyson Kidd and Cesaro after Daniel Bryan sends Kidd into Natalya. (The match proves to be Daniel Bryan's absolute last in WWE before he retires the following year.)

John Cena shows up amidst a "John Cena sucks" chorus in London, United Kingdom. He admits that he and the crowd here don't get along, but there are still wrestling fans as far as the eye can see. When he throws down the open challenge for the week, Bad News Barrett answers. He asks why he should wait until after beating Daniel Bryan to become Intercontinental champ when he could win the United States title in his home country.

When asked about Big Show screwing him out of another title shot, Roman calls Show "[Seth Rollins'] giant bitch." Show shows up on the TitanTron and brags about his recent accomplishments and how he enjoys keeping him down, and that he's going to make Roman an epic failure. Roman tells Show that if he continues to get in his business, he plans to retire him by shoving his Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy down his throat. As Reigns leaves, Big Show comes out from the back and immediately demolishes Reigns, choke slamming him on the big black taxicab that serves as a prop during WWE's United Kingdom televised events and slamming him into the doors. (During the break, medical staff try to help Reigns, who refuses medical help, gets off of the top of the car and heads to the back under his own power.)
Randy Orton beats Cesaro by disqualification after Tyson Kidd tries to fight Orton. Kane shows up and restarts the match as a 2-on-1 Hanidcap Match between Orton and the team of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. If Orton wins, he gets to pick the stipulation for his match against Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules.
Randy Orton beats Tyson Kidd and Cesaro.
Kane and Seth Rollins talk backstage. If Rollins beats Dolph Ziggler, he gets to pick a stipulation, too. Rollins doesn't want to face Ziggler, and makes Jamie Noble his opponent so that Jamie will lay down for him. Jamie reminds Kane that the current situation is all on him, and threatens to do something to him that involves a car battery and his testicles. Rollins has a better idea: him vs. Kane to protect him and his title. Kane, knowing he's backed into a corner when Rollins threatens to get Triple H on the horn, walks away silently.
Dean Ambrose beats Adam Rose.
Big Show talks to Kane backstage, telling him to do what needs to be done concerning Seth Rollins. Kane assures him he will.

The Prime Time Players (Darren Young and Titus O'Neil) make fun of Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego).

Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for April 9, 2015
Daniel Bryan shows up. He plans to make the Intercontinental Championship by actually defending it. He also mentions Sheamus' actions towards him and Dolph Ziggler last week, as well as Bad News Barrett getting a Bull Hammer in while he was bloodied and stunned last week. Bad News Barrett shows up, brags about that Bull Hammer, then Sheamus shows up and brags about the Brogue Kick he gave him to remind him not to take on anybody who's "not his size." They decide to give D-Bry a "European-style arse kicking" because they can, but Ziggler shows up and says he's ready to fight right now. Big Show comes out, and says he's sick and tired of "those pipsqueaks complaining" and wants a piece of D-Bry and Ziggler. It's almost a three-on-two fight until Roman Reigns shows up. Show tells Reigns that if he gets in the ring, he'll get hurt, but it's Show, Barrett and Sheamus who get hurt. They are forced to retreat.
Tonight's main event of Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett and Sheamus is now a six-man tag match, with Roman Reigns joining Ziggler and Daniel Bryan and Big Show joining Barrett and Sheamus.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 16, 2015
The Authority (Kane, Big Show, Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury, Jamie Noble) start the show. Rollins feels betrayed after Orton's actions last week. He goes on to say his betrayal of The Shield (Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns) was a sound business decision while Orton's betrayal of him was nothing more than disgusting and psychopathic. Big Show apologizes to Seth Rollins, saying he feels personally responsible. Kane says that Orton will betraying them, and Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury are distraught, and Mercury can't even speak. Rollins then accepts Orton's challenge to a match at WrestleMania 31, on the condition that Orton face him tonight on Raw. As Rollins badmouths Orton again, Orton shows up and accepts his part of the bargain, saying he doesn't mind a 5-on-1 match as it will still be worth it to strike Rollins down. He tells Rollins to finish the job, because if he doesn't, he'll finish him at WrestleMania.
Nikki Bella beats AJ Lee after Brie Bella attacks Paige outside the ring.
Renee Young interviews Kane and Big Show. Kane states that Big Show will be in Seth Rollins' corner tonight, but Show tells him that this is the first they've heard of him and yells at him to at least give him the option of making that decision himself. As Kane and Show bicker, Seth Rollins shows up and yells at them, telling them that this is what got them sent home and that they need to see the big picture. Kane tells Rollins to watch his tongue and tells him that he and Show enjoyed Orton humbling him like he did last week, and Kane tells him that he's been an entitled, spoiled brat ever since he helped him win the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Kane tells Rollins he won't be in his corner tonight, and extends that courtesy to Big Show...who also decides not to side with Rollins, either.
Ryback beats The Miz. During the match, Ryback tells Damien Mizdow to hit Miz, but Miz tells Mizdow to put his fist down. Mizdow does as Miz asks. After the match, Mizdow tries to help Miz up only to eat a Skull Crushing Finale.
Michael Cole hosts the contract signing for the United States title match between John Cena and Rusev at WrestleMania 31. John Cena shows up first, and says that the contract that he is about to sign is the most important one of all due to all that is at stake, and says that while Rusev is United States champ, he represents everyone in the crowd, and says that's not a good thing. He plans to fix that by beating Rusev at WrestleMania. He then signs the contract. Cole then introduces Rusev, who is without Lana and is dressed in a suit for once. Another representative takes Lana's place, and they both walk down the ring so Rusev can sign the contract, which he almost does. The guy who accompanied Rusev, however, is his attorney, who says that Rusev will not sign, saying that Rusev did not agree to this match in any way. However, he says that Rusev will sign if Cena curbs his "American barbaric behavior" and lets Rusev read his written statement, where he proceeds to bash America. Flair tells him not to take Sting lightly, and not to put himself in a position to fail. Triple H says he doesn't need the history lesson, as he knows Sting well. He says Sting did the smart thing when he disappeared, and thinks Sting has now set out to destroy what he's built. Ric Flair tries to be the voice of reason, but some harsh words are thrown around and Triple H pushes Ric Flair to the ground before telling him he'll destroy anyone who gets in his way and promises to make sure Sting never shows his face in WWE again.
The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) attack Darren Young and his unnamed tag team partner (who is played by independent wrestler Kevin Kross, who will be in WWE as Karrion Kross almost five years later) before their match can begin. Titus O'Neil shows up and makes the save, marking the first time Young and O'Neil have been on the same side since they unamicably broke up.
The Miz asks Bad News Barrett to humble Damien Mizdow, and he'll keep an eye out for Dean Ambrose for him in return.
Bad News Barrett beats Damien Mizdow, again due to Miz's constant interruptions. After the match, Dean Ambrose rushes in and attacks Barrett, zipties his hands to a post and forces him to sign the contract for an Intercontinental title match.
Bray Wyatt hammers a nail into what seems to be a wooden casket.
Naomi and Jimmy Uso beat Natalya and Tyson Kidd.
Big Show beats Daniel Bryan by disqualification after Roman Reigns hits Show with the Superman Punch in response to Show hitting him with a Spear outside of the ring that Daniel Bryan dodged. This leads to a lengthy brawl between the two that takes multiple officials and trainers to break up. During the match, Roman Reigns sat at ringside, signed autographs, took selfies with fans and passed out T-shirts in an attempt to distract D-Bry which fails.

Layin 'da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for January 22, 2015
The show starts with Daniel Bryan. He could talk about the Royal Rumble, The Authority, Sting or even himself, but instead, he's going to talk about how John Cena brough Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan back. They're glad to be back. Soon after, Kane, Big Show, Seth Rollins and J&J Security (Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble) show up. Ziggler challenges Rollins to a fight, Rollins makes fun of D-Bry's fitness DVD joke from Raw, Rollins proclaims he'll be World Heavweight champ, and Brock Lesnar destroying Rollins, Kane and Big Show becomes a running gag. Kane then makes some Royal Rumble qualifying matches: one between Ryback and Rusev, one between Erick Rowan and Luke Harper (during the break after this) and one between Ziggler and Bad News Barrett, which happens next. Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan must each win their matches if they want to participate in the Royal Rumble match.
Dolph Ziggler beats Bad News Barrett and qualifies for the Royal Rumble match.
Renee Young interviews Roman Reigns. Reigns calls Big Show "a little, insecure man trapped in the body of a giant" and reminds everyone that Andre the Giant didn't have to tell people he was a giant every week. Reigns also plans to win the Royal Rumble match this Sunday night.
Fandango gets a good number for the Royal Rumble match. Dean Ambrose does too...by switching numbers behind Fandango's back as he kisses Rosa Mendes.
Ryback beats Rusev by count-out to qualify for the Royal Rumble match. After the match, Rusev attacks Ryback, but Ryback sends him fleeing.
Paige and Natalya guest on commentary for the next match.
Brie Bella beats Naomi.
Goldust and Stardust get their numbers for the Royal Rumble match.
Luke Harper beats Erick Rowan to keep Rowan from qualifying for the Royal Rumble match.
Damien Mizdow apologizes to The Miz for mimicking X-Pac last night, even though he acknowledges the WWE Universe loved it and cheered. Miz tells him he's a stunt double, and that nobody cheers for him. As he leaves to get another coffee. The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) show up to ask him if he would go over the rope along with The Miz if Miz were eliminated in the Royal Rumble match.
Daniel Bryan beats Kane in a no-disqualification to stay in the Royal Rumble match. After the match, Big Show attacks D-Bry, and Big Show, Kane and J&J Security (Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) all beat him up. Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan make the save, but the locker room heels rush into the ring only to be joined moments later by the locker room faces. The WWE Universe gets a preview of what is to come this Sunday night.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for January 19, 2015
WWE remembers Martin Luther King, Jr.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman start the show, and Lesnar immediately calls out Seth Rollins. Rollins has ten seconds, and he doesn't show up...but Triple H does. He wants Brock Lesnar to calm down and also wants to put the whole thing with last week's contract signing behind them. Lesnar asks Triple H if he's here to fix this or if he's here to fight. Stephanie McMahon, Kane and Big Show try to de-escalate this, but Seth Rollins appears on the TitanTron and tells Lesnar to wait for his shot at him at Royal Rumble. Heyman tells Rollins to "let the adults speak" and says Lesnar will still be champ after Sunday night. John Cena shows up and says the plot to get rid of him as well as the recent guilt-tripping concerning the firings of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan won't work, then calls HHH and Stephanie "the world's biggest ash-holes." Stephanie tries to guilt-trip Cena again, saying he's not the Cena he used to be, and Seth Rollins says that nobody wants to see Cena win. Cena says we'll see about that, and that if he wins the title on Sunday, then Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan get their jobs back. Triple H decides to make a match tonight, and if he wins it, they're re-hired. If he loses, they're still fired and he's no longer in the title match at Royal Rumble. Triple H then decides to hold a WWE App vote to see if people want him to risk his title opportunity this Sunday to get them re-hired.
Bray Wyatt beats Daniel Bryan after Kane interferes behind the referee's back. After the match, Kane attacks Daniel Bryan.
Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and X-Pac are all in the same room. Damien Mizdow does his best X-Pac impression, but The Miz isn't pleased with this.
We see the Royal Rumble Legends Panel: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Hulk and HBK say Cena should risk his title opportunity, Flair says he should not. They all come to agreement on one thing, though: the Royal Rumble match is a dangerous, unpredictable match that should not be taken lightly. HBK thinks Bray Wyatt will win the Rumble, while Hulk Hogan picks Daniel Bryan and Ric Flair picks Dean Ambrose. Suddenly, Big Show comes out and says he doesn't see legends in the ring, but "washed-up has beens." Show says they didn't pick him to win the Royal Rumble match because "they're jealous of him," when Show clearly knows he's beaten them all at various points in his career. Show says he's going to win the Rumble, since there's nobody in the back who can toss him over the top rope, and tells the Legends to leave the ring and "go back to the old folks' home." Instead, Flair fights him off only to get knocked out...then Roman Reigns shows up ready to do the same to Big Show. Show tells him to get out of the ring before he gets knocked out. Roman Reigns fights Show and sends him over the top rope, forcing Show to retreat.
Renee Young interviews John Cena. The WWE App vote has concluded, and the WWE Universe has voted by a landslide to see him fight. Cena's ready to do just that.
Dean Ambrose beats Bad News Barrett after reversing Wasteland.
The Royal Rumble match, by the numbers.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) beat Cesaro and Tyson Kidd.
This Thursday's match between Daniel Bryan vs. Kane on SmackDown is now a no-disqualification match!
Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac show up for the New World Order reunion. Without them, there would be no Monday Night War. As they speak, The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) suddenly show up and proclaim they're better than everyone. Suddenly, JBL takes off the commentary headset and proclaims he's had enough. He takes off the shirt to reveal an Acolytes Protection Agency T-shirt underneath, Ron Simmons show up, and before they can fight The Ascension, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) make a surprise appearance. They say that the ring contains racehorses and thoroughbreds, but calls The Ascension "jackasses" before fighting them. The Outlaws completely destroy The Ascension, then JBL hits the Clothesline From Hell on Viktor.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon announce John Cena's opponent: Seth Rollins, Big Show and Kane. All the while, they use a drum roll guy that they constantly give crap, and a guy with a horn plays "Taps" afterwards.
The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) guest on commentary for the next match.
Paige and Natalya beat Alicia Fox and Summer Rae with the PTO.
The Royal Rumble kick-off match will be The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Big E) vs. Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and Adam Rose.
Rusev beats R-Truth with the Accolade.
Seth Rollins runs into Brock Lesnar backstage again. Lesnar expresses his hope that Rollins takes down John Cena tonight, so he can focus on taking down Rollins himself on Sunday.
Jey Uso beats The Miz.
The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will take on The Ascension (Konnor and Viktor) at Royal Rumble.
John Cena beats Seth Rollins, Kane and Big Show in a 3-on-1 handicap match after a surprise appearance by Sting, his first since Survivor Series, leading to Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan and Ryback getting their jobs back. After the match, Triple H wants Sting, whom he says doesn't belong here. Not long after, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman show up, and Lesnar lays waste to Rollins, Kane and Show.
