Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for March 5, 2015

Dolph Ziggler shows up with the WWE Intercontinental Championship around his waist to start the show, even though the title is Bad News Barrett's and not his. Dolph Ziggler says that the title changed his life last year, and he wants that rematch against Bad News Barrett that he never got due to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon firing him. He throws his hat into the ring for the Intercontinental title ladder match at WrestleMania. However, he says that somebody is missing, somebody who says that if you put your mind to it, you can become champion. Before he can introduce that person (which is Daniel Bryan), Bad News Barrett interrupts. He tells him to either return the title, or he'll beat him up and rip it from him. Ziggler tries to dare Barrett to get in the ring when he is attacked from behind by Luke Harper. Harper and Barrett are about to play tug of war with the belt when Ziggler fights back only to fall victim to the numbers game. Dean Ambrose rushes in before they can do damage to Ziggler, and Harper and Barrett are temporarily forced to retreat. When Ambrose and Ziggler are about to fight over the title, though, Barrett and Harper get back up, and there are two separate brawls outside the ring. R-Truth takes the opportunity to sneak in, grab the belt, and escape by crawling out of the ring, much to the chagrin of Ambrose and Ziggler. Backstage, R-Truth is interviewed by Renee Young, and he tells her he came in with a gameplan. He tries to give the title to her, but then looks around backstage as he tries to give it back to Dean Ambrose again.

Tyson Kidd and Cesaro beat Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego) when Cesaro tries to make El Torito pay for catching him cheating. Natalya takes advantage of the situation from there by grabbing at Torito's legs.

Kane and Big Show meet up backstage. Both announce their intent to enter and win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31, then Kane tells Big Show to get a ringside seat for his match against Ryback tonight before countering Big Show's Men's Warehouse pun.

Ryback beats Kane after Big Show distracts Ryback...and Kane. Ryback hits the Meat Hook for the win, then Kane grabs a microphone and puts Ryback in another match with Big Show.

Unlike the first match, the distraction works. Big Show beats Ryback after Kane distracts Ryback, allowing Show to hit the KO Punch.

Bray Wyatt has Undertaker's urn...and he plans to open it up and release the spirits within this Monday on Raw.

The Bella Twins (Brie and Nikki Bella) hijack #GiveDivasAChance to trash the entire Divas Division before Brie's match.

AJ Lee beats Brie Bella with the Black Widow after Paige stops Nikki Bella from getting involved in the match.

Renee Young interviews Daniel Bryan. He can't wait to see who wins the Intercontinental title.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) beat The Miz and Damien Mizdow after Miz and Mizdow argue again.

Byron Saxton interviewed Roman Reigns earlier today. Roman knows Brock Lesnar will hurt him, but he's willing to take that risk and become WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Rusev beats Jack Swagger with the Accolade. After the match, Curtis Axel appears on the TitanTron and challenges him to a match on Raw next week in the name of Axelmania.

Cameron, Summer Rae and Eva Marie get catty with one another.

R-Truth guests on commentary for the next match.

Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose beat Bad News Barrett and Luke Harper. After the match, Barrett hits a Bull Hammer on Ziggler and goes after R-Truth to take the Intercontinental title back. He almost gives it to him, but Ambrose gets to Barrett first. R-Truth then runs into Harper. He lays the title in front of Harper, then kicks him and tries to walk away until Daniel Bryan shows up. R-Truth gives Daniel Bryan the title, and Bryan is then attacked all of a sudden by Stardust, who takes the title and climbs up the ladder.

Here are the Top 10 moments from tonight's show!
