Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 16, 2026

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up with an army of masked hooded men in black to start tonight's show. Rollins says that he created The Vision ("The Oracle" Paul Heyman, Logan Paul, Austin Theory) and will be the one to kill The Vision, regardless of whether any member is on the shelf of hanging on, saying that anyone standing next to Paul Heyman is marked for death. Rollins says he had the satisfaction of hitting Heyman with a metal folding chair and a curb stomp. All of a sudden, Heyman - now with bruises on his face - shows up. Rollins dares Heyman to come to the ring, hoping that it was all worth it for Heyman and stating that allows him in his inner circle was the greatest mistake he ever made. He hopes to make Heyman pay for his betrayal for the rest of his days. Heyman says he did not want to come out here, then tells Rollins "FAFO" before saying "FAF5." Brock Lesnar shows up, and the masked men in hoodies surround Rollins in the ring. Lesnar removes his hat and leather vest before tearing through the masked men and scaring a few off. He soon overpowers all of them before coming face-to-face with Rollins. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Oba Femi shows up. Rollins stands in the corner as Oba Femi confronts Brock Lesnar in the middle of the ring, but when he tries to stand between them, Lesnar scares him off. Oba then hits Lesnar with the Fall from Grace and places a foot on top of Lesnar's chest before pointing at the WrestleMania sign, accepting Heyman and Lesnar's open challenge for WrestleMania in the process.

El Grande Americano II beats El Grande Americano I after Bravo Americano loads El Grande Americano II's mask as El Grande Americano I attacks Rayo Americano for getting involved in the match before going to the top rope for a headbutt only to hit his head on El Grande Americano II's loaded mask.

Roman Reigns arrives at the arena and meets up with The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso). Roman commends them for beating CM Punk up last week for running his mouth about his family before declaring that Punk belongs to him at WrestleMania.

We hear from Liv Morgan, who tells Finn Balor that getting rid of him has been part of her plan since she joined The Judgment Day and that Finn was on borrowed time. She says she knows Finn Balor and that is has been a pleasure watching him fall from grace. She says that Finn could not hang with The Judgment Day (JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez) and that they took a play from his playbook to get rid of him, then declares that JD McDonagh is free from Finn Balor's control, that Dominik Mysterio will take back the Intercontinental Championship, that Raquel will take down Stephanie Vaquer tonight and that she herself will hold the Women's World Championship.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) meet with Roman Reigns. They state that CM Punk claims to have something on Roman but really has nothing, and is insulting Roman by calling him a part-timer, but Roman calls being a full-time father for his wife and child "the real flex." Jey says that Punk owes them an apology, but Roman says he does not need one even though The Usos do.

AJ Lee retains the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship against Bayley by submission with the Black Widow after rolling away from a top rope elbow drop by Bayley.

Backstage, JD McDonagh argues with General Manager Adam Pearce. As Pearce states that "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio is not medically cleared, Penta walks by on his way to the ring.

After the commercial break, Becky Lynch attacks AJ Lee on the stage and at the entrance ramp. Referees and officials have to pull Becky away from AJ Lee, but Becky grabs the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship and hits AJ Lee in the face with it.

Penta heads to the ring. He insists that he wants to be a fighting champion, then says he will defend his championship against anyone. Penta tells whoever comes to the ring to face him to be ready, and his open challenge is answered by Dragon Lee.

Penta retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Dragon Lee.

Backstage, Paul Heyman is met by Logan Paul and Austin Theory. Theory says that Seth "Freakin'" Rollins is a dead man and that they will take care of him, but Heyman warns them that they have no power and are out of position, and that they must get back into title contention. He says that if Logan and Theory can beat The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) for the World Tag Team Championships, they can get back into singles title contention. Theory and Logan are more than game and willing to face The Usos.

Nattie beats Maxxine Dupri by submission with the Sharpshooter.

We see fan reactions of Randy Orton's attack on "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes from last week's SmackDown, which is now the most viewed moment in social media for WWE in 2026 with 112 million views.

Michael Cole interviews Randy Orton. Orton is on the phone with someone at the start of the interview, which Orton changes his mind on after having a conversation with someone that made him understand who he is, which caused him to attack "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. Orton says he is a killer, and says that wrestling has more than one royal family.

Backstage, Dragon Lee is met by Je'Von Evans, but they are soon met by Kofi Kingston. Dragon Lee leaves, and Kofi advises Je'Von that it is all about who one associates with, and mocks Dragon Lee in the process, saying that he is "dragon Je'Von down." Je'Von declines Kofi's offer to join The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Grayson Waller). Grayson Waller shows up after Je'Von leaves, then Danhausen shows up, thinking that Kofi Kingston is replacing Xavier Woods. Kofi is not in the mood for Danhausen's ideas, as is Grayson, and puts Grayson in front of him when Danhausen tries to curse Kofi. Danhausen disappears afterwards.

Stephanie Vaquer beats Raquel Rodriguez after taking out Liv Morgan on the outside following Iyo Sky confronting Liv Morgan only to be pounced into the announce table by Raquel. Afterwards, Raquel goes for a Tejana Bomb back in the ring, but Vaquer slips out and pins Raquel to win.

Backstage, Bayley is unhappy with herself for losing tonight, and Lyra says that the both of them are going to WrestleMania and that they are going to get there together. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) confront Bayley and Lyra for costing them championship gold, and says that the two of them are not ready for her. Kairi tells Bayley and Lyra "Stay away from us" before Asuka yells at her. Lyra and Bayley soon realize they have their path to WrestleMania.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) run into LA Knight. LA Knight says that The Vision have all their names in their mouths, then says that Roman Reigns is getting a little too cozy. Jimmy tells Knight it is family business and to mind his business, but Knight says that if The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, "Main Event" Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso) comes back, they will not be on the same page. Knight fistbumps Jimmy, but Jey refuses to reciprocate.

Roman Reigns heads to the ring. Roman calls out CM Punk so they can handle some business, and CM Punk shows up and makes his way to the ring. Punk takes exception to being called "Phil," saying calling Roman "Joe" would be an insult to Samoa Joe, but Roman says that if Punk called Samoa Joe, he would remind him who the real tribal chief is. On the subject of Roman sending his family after him, Punk says all they will do is high five him.On the subject of Roman sending his family after him, Punk says all they will do is high five him. Punk then admits that while The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) took care of family business and had the right message, and that he deserved what he got last week, they had the wrong messenger. Roman is "trite and redundant" and repeats the same thing over and over. He tells Punk not to waste his time until he can come up with a promo that can surprise him, but Punk stops Roman from leaving, saying that this is his show. He says that he is in Roman's head and under Roman's skin, and that he will never point at the WrestleMania sign again. Punk tells Roman that he will hit him with the GTS and split his ego in two at WrestleMania. Roman tells Punk is delusional, saying he cannot faze him even though he is good with the mental game, and that Punk "can't do the walkin'." He says that Punk is nothing to him and is not faster or stronger than him, and says that Punk is not only a tryhard who embarrasses everyone else, he is old. Punk sucker punches Roman, and officials have to get between Punk and Roman. Roman is smiling and laughing as the show fades to black.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for March 16, 2015

The Authority (Kane, Big Show, Seth Rollins, Joey Mercury, Jamie Noble) start the show. Rollins feels betrayed after Orton's actions last week. He goes on to say his betrayal of The Shield (Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns) was a sound business decision while Orton's betrayal of him was nothing more than disgusting and psychopathic. Big Show apologizes to Seth Rollins, saying he feels personally responsible. Kane says that Orton will betraying them, and Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury are distraught, and Mercury can't even speak. Rollins then accepts Orton's challenge to a match at WrestleMania 31, on the condition that Orton face him tonight on Raw. As Rollins badmouths Orton again, Orton shows up and accepts his part of the bargain, saying he doesn't mind a 5-on-1 match as it will still be worth it to strike Rollins down. He tells Rollins to finish the job, because if he doesn't, he'll finish him at WrestleMania.

Nikki Bella beats AJ Lee after Brie Bella attacks Paige outside the ring.

Renee Young interviews Kane and Big Show. Kane states that Big Show will be in Seth Rollins' corner tonight, but Show tells him that this is the first they've heard of him and yells at him to at least give him the option of making that decision himself. As Kane and Show bicker, Seth Rollins shows up and yells at them, telling them that this is what got them sent home and that they need to see the big picture. Kane tells Rollins to watch his tongue and tells him that he and Show enjoyed Orton humbling him like he did last week, and Kane tells him that he's been an entitled, spoiled brat ever since he helped him win the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Kane tells Rollins he won't be in his corner tonight, and extends that courtesy to Big Show...who also decides not to side with Rollins, either.

He plans to fix that by beating Rusev at WrestleMania. He then signs the contract. Cole then introduces Rusev, who is without Lana and is dressed in a suit for once. Another representative takes Lana's place, and they both walk down the ring so Rusev can sign the contract, which he almost does. The guy who accompanied Rusev, however, is his attorney, who says that Rusev will not sign, saying that Rusev did not agree to this match in any way. However, he says that Rusev will sign if Cena curbs his "American barbaric behavior" and lets Rusev read his written statement, where he proceeds to bash America. Cena wants to jump Rusev, but the attorney gets in the way. After Rusev is done, he signs the contract, then topples the table, almost hitting Cena with it before fleeing.

After asking the WWE Universe what they'll do with their lives when WWE dies out, HHH says that the WWE Universe will be begging for him and Stephanie to come back. All of a sudden, Daniel Bryan shows up and leads a "Yes!" chant in the ring to stick it to the former holders of the keys to the WWE kingdom. He gets in Triple H and Stephanie's way as they try to walk up the ramp to "Yes!" chant in their faces, then returns to the ring to continue the chant.

After the break, Daniel Bryan announces he's in charge of Raw for tonight. His first action? Trotting out Team Authority (Seth Rollins, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry, Luke Harper, Kane and Rusev). He puts Seth Rollins in a handicap match against Dolph Ziggler and John Cena...and his two partners will be chosen by the WWE Universe. It's either the team of Mark Henry and Luke Harper, Henry and Kane...or Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury. As for Kane, he's made a concessions guy, and turns from Corporate Kane to Concessions Kane. Rusev is given the choice of either defending the United States Championship against the rest of the WWE or reciting the American pledge of allegiance to the WWE Universe. Luke Harper is put in a match against Dean Ambrose with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Mark Henry is put in a match against Ryback...and it happens right now. No sooner does Ryback's music hit that Ryback goes right to work on Henry before the bell rings, and four officials have to separate Ryback from Henry.

Ryback beats "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry with just one Meat Hook.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon run into Vince McMahon. Dear old Dad gets cheesed off with both of them and expects them to fix the mess they've gotten themselves into before they slink into the limo with them to head back home to Stanford.

Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper for the WWE Intercontinental Championship ends when Harper shoves Ambrose into the ref, causing the ref to call for the bell. Ambrose then beats up Harper, hits Dirty Deeds on him into a steel chair, then readies the table and ladder. All of a sudden, Ambrose is struck from behind by Bray Wyatt. Wyatt then causes chaos at ringside by burying Ambrose underneath a few commentary table chairs.

Santino Marella makes a surprise return along with Larry the Cable Guy from Jingle All The Way 2. Before he can do some comedy, Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust) show up.

The Miz and Damien Sandow retain the WWE Tag Team Championships against Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust) after a Skull Crushing Finale and pin from The Miz despite Damien Sandow doing all the work (and a Figure Four Leg Lock).

The concessions manager gives Kane crap. She keeps him away from the deep fryer due to his enjoyment in burning things and puts him in charge of chips.

Rusev and Lana complain about their fate in the ring, and are about to leave when Daniel Bryan shows up on the TitanTron. He tells Rusev to either recite the American pledge of allegiance or face the whole roster with his United States title on the line. In order to force the former option, he sends out Sgt. Slaughter to supervise. Midway through the pledge, Lana retreats and Rusev confronts Sgt. Slaughter. Suddenly, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger show up, and Swagger forces Rusev to retreat. Swagger, Zeb and Slaughter put their hands over their hearts and say "We The People."

Santino Marella and Larry the Cable Guy meet Kane at the concession stand. Santino gets mustard on his hand. Also, Kane is a fan of Larry.

Fandango beats Justin Gabriel.

Big Show torments a backstage worker before the break.

Tomorrow on Main Event: Dean Ambrose vs. Kane!

Big Show shows up. He has heard the response to his actions last night, and says that he does hate Triple H and Stephanie McMahon...but last night, he panicked. He thought Team Cena would lose, and says the crowd should at least "owe him a mulligan," Then he turns on the crowd and says he is the Big Show and that he deserves respect. He calls out any "cowards" in the back who want to call him a traitor to show up and say it to his face. Erick Rowan shows up, and Big Show calls him "an upside-down Sheamus." He mocks Rowan, then tells him the ring is no place for him and that he should go back to the back. Rowan takes the microphone and tells him "I...don't...like...BULLIES!" before striking back, forcing Big Show to retreat.

Backstage, Seth Rollins implies to Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble that he doesn't believe they stand a chance in the ring. Enter Dolph Ziggler, who shows up, tells Joey and Jamie that he does, and that he's asked his 1.4 million Twitter followers to vote for them.

Before AJ Lee takes on Brie Bella, AJ congratules her and her sister Nikki Bella in the most sarcastic-jerkish way imaginable by saying that Brie has proven she is a "bigger skank than [her] sister" and pronounces "Let's be honest" as "Les-bi-awn-est," referring to the kiss Brie gave her before Nikki took the Divas title away from her at Survivor Series.

Brie Bella beats AJ Lee after a distraction from her sister Nikki Bella. After the match, AJ Lee grabs the mic and says that since they want to cheat their way to the top, she has news for them: the two of them aren't half the woman she is, and that talent isn't sexually transmitted.

Larry the Cable Guy and Santino Marella guest on commentary for the next match. When The Bunny dances with them before the next match, Adam Rose pulls him away by the ears.

Tyson Kidd and Natalya beat Adam Rose and The Bunny as The Bunny is pre-occupied outside the ring, proud of himself for pulling Adam Rose's foot out from under him from outside the ring...when he thought it was Tyson Kidd's.

Renee Young interviews Ryback. The Big Guy's in the mood for food...and he also pokes fun at the concession stand.

Kofi Kingston, Big E Langston and Xavier Woods bring in a new day...next week!

Ryback heads to the concession stand, and Kane tries to mess with him. It works against Kane...horribly.

Renee Young interviews John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. Cena says that with a team like him and Ziggler, you can expect the show to be stolen.

This Friday on SmackDown: Miz TV with Big Show!

Seth Rollins' tag team partners for the next match are revealed by Daniel Bryan to be none other than J&J Security (Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury).

John Cena and Dolph Ziggler beat Seth Rollins and J&J Security (Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury) with a simultaneous Attitude Adjustment and Zig Zag and a double pin. After the match, Daniel Bryan rushes in and tosses Seth Rollins back into the ring and into a waiting Cena and Ziggler. After Cena and Ziggler are done with him, they and D-Bry lead a "Yes!" chant until a familiar smartphone sound fills the arena and the lights go on and off. The anonymous Raw General Manager - computer, podium, Michael Cole reading his will and all - is back next week with Cyber Monday, and promises "order and discipline will return."

Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for November 21, 2014

Michael Cole introduces Triple H to start the show. Cole asks what would happen if Team Authority lost on Sunday, and says that the WWE Universe would react with glee if they did. Triple H is not swayed by the people's opinion, saying that without him and the rest of the Authority, there would be no WWE Universe. He says he's still here - unlike his Attitude Era contemporaries - because he's the Cerebral Assassin and he's a constant, and without him and Stephanie McMahon, WWE wouldn't last more than one or two years, tops. After being asked what would happen if his team wins, Triple H then calls out Team Cena - John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Erick Rowan and Big Show - so Michael Cole can have their answer and Triple H can respond accordingly. Cena is the only one who doesn't show up, but video footage on the TitanTron shows him saying he feels responsible for his team and knows they would lay it all on the line on Sunday. Triple H ups the ante: if Team Cena loses, Cena's teammates are all fired after Survivor Series.

Rusev beats Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Rusev finishes Ziggler off with a post-match Accolade.

Kane has a secret backstage meeting with just the man he wants to see...but who is it?

The man Kane wanted to see is Cesaro. Kane promises to reward Cesaro for his loyalty when Team Authority wins on Sunday, and asks him to take down Erick Rowan tonight.

Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust) and The Usos (Jummy and Jey Uso) guest on commentary for the next match.

Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego) beat The Miz and Damien Sandow after Miz gets sent flying into The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)...and Damien Mizdow follows suit as per his stunt double duties, allowing Los Matadores to take advantage.

Dean Ambrose shows up. He tells us abut his "survival kit" that he's had ever since he was a kid...his own body. He plans to bounce his fist off of Bray Wyatt's skull until Wyatt's face is swollen, and says the only thing Bray Wyatt needs for his survival kit is the ability to run. Wyatt appears on the TitanTron in a jail cell, and brings up Dean's dad again. Wyatt says the jail cell - the jail of his own desires - will be Ambrose's future, and on Sunday, he's going to leave him drowning in a pool of his own filth "like his Daddy did."

AJ Lee (who is dressed like Nikki Bella and going under the name "AJ Bella") beats Brie Bella after pushing Brie into Nikki, who tries to distract AJ from the apron.

Erick Rowan beats Cesaro with the Torture Rack. After the match, Luke Harper shows up and nearly gets in the ring to confront Rowan, but retreats.

Renee Young interviews Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan. They refuse to cower to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Before the main event begins, it is announced that Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan are banned from ringside.

Big Show and Ryback vs. Kane and Seth Rollins ends with Rusev, Mark Henry and Luke Harper attacking Show, having already appeared midway through the match with Triple H. Big Show and Ryback try to fight back with the help of Dolph Ziggler and Erick Rowan, but Team Authority ends up standing tall after Triple H smacks everyone on Team Cena with a steel chair. The worst punishment is saved for Ryback, who receives a Pedigree from Triple H to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 17, 2014

The Authority - Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Luke Harper, Lana, Rusev, Kane, Seth Rollins, Mark Henry, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury - show up to start the show. Triple H tells the audience to keep dreaming, as if The Authority feels they will win Sunday, as their loss will be the inmates running the asylum, which would be like - in HHH's words - World Championship Wrestling. But they're not waiting until Sunday to decimate John Cena (John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Sheamus), and plan to have a contract signing between both teams tonight. Stephanie McMahon announces that Luke Harper is an official member of Team Authority, then mentions Ryback's actions from last week...only for Ryback to show up. When Ryback shows up to say he wants what's back for Ryback, Stephanie McMahon tries to pour salt in an old wound by playing footage from Ryback's feud from last year with John Cena. It doesn't work, and Ryback decides to stay neutral. Triple H then pits Luke Harper against Dolph Ziggler in a match...and it's next.

Seth Rollins guests on commentary for the next match.

During the break, Luke Harper vs. Dolph Ziggler is changed so that the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Before the match can even begin, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury assault Dolph Ziggler from behind.

Thanks to Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury's attack on the champ before the bell can ring - and Ziggler insisting the match still go on - Luke Harper beats Dolph Ziggler to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship! After the match, Seth Rollins hits a Curb Stomp on Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler is out cold.

Grumpy Cat is not amused by The Miz and Damien Mizdow.

Tyson Kidd beats Adam Rose with the Sharpshooter when the Bunny doesn't help Adam Rose due to his fooling around with Natalya. When Rose tries to attack him, The Bunny takes out his sexual urges on Adam Rose and dry humps him. (You're reading this right.)

Bray Wyatt shows up. He still wants Dean Ambrose to join forces with him, but Dean Ambrose shows up on the TitanTron as Bray speaks. Dean Ambrose says he's tried to see things Bray's way, then admits that Bray is really looking at a pre-recorded message from earlier in the day. When the lights come back on, Dean Ambrose attacks Bray Wyatt, forcing Bray to retreat. Dean tells Bray he doesn't need saving, and that Bray should be more concerned about saving himself.

Larry the Cable Guy is the guest star for next week's Raw!

Ryback beats Cesaro. John Cena is watching from the back when Renee Young interviews Cena. Cena says that he knows Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are doing all they can to keep Team Cena from winning, but all they can do is persevere. As for Ryback, Cena isn't expecting him to come to the rescue after his declaration of neutrality.

Lana shows up and bashes America once again, saying American women's bodies don't compare to hers and trolling the audience with a topless pic...of her president. Heath Slater shows up dressed in an Uncle Sam get-up with a completely new entrance and challenges Rusev. Rusev puts him in the Accolade after a few powerful attacks and forces Slater to submit.

Grumpy Cat is still not impressed with The Miz and Damien Mizdow. Erick Rowan shows up, takes the Grumpy Cat doll that Mizdow is holding, and walks away.

Big Show is in the ring when Stephanie McMahon shows up. Stephanie makes fun of Big Show's World Championship Wrestling debut. then dangles a WWE Hall of Fame spot in front of him. All he has to do is quit Team Cena. Big Show tells her no, then Sheamus shows up, saying he wants her and Triple H out of power. Stephanie says it would be a shame if Sheamus were deported before Survivor Series, then puts Sheamus and Show in a match against each other where the winner gets a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (even though John Cena is still the number one contender).

Big Show vs. Sheamus ends when Rusev and Mark Henry brutally attack both of them. Sheamus is put through the commentary table with the World's Strongest Slam by Mark Henry, while Rusev sends Big Show into unconsciousness with the Accolade. With the Curb Stomp to Ziggler from earlier tonight, John Cena is a man alone at Survivor Series.

Bad News Barrett, Rosa Mendes, Fandango and Paul Heyman will be on the kickoff panel at Survivor Series!

AJ Lee guests on commentary for the next match...which is Nikki Bella versus her sister Brie Bella dressed as a very convincing (although tan) AJ Lee.

Brie Bella (or "AJ Brie," if you prefer) beats Nikki Bella thanks to the distraction from AJ Lee. After the match, Nikki attacks Brie, but Brie fights back...only for AJ to attack Brie.

Big E joins Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in proclaiming a new day.

John Cena talks to Ryback in the locker room. Ryback still isn't interested in joining Team Cena.

This Friday on SmackDown: The Dean Ambrose Survival Kit.

Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust), The Miz and Damien Mizdow beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and Los Matadores (Fernando and Diego) in a 4-on-4 tag team match after tricking an Uso into accidentally superkicking one-half of Los Matadores.

Sheamus is now in a local hospital after the attack from Mark Henry earlier tonight.

Team Authority - Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Luke Harper, Lana, Rusev, Kane, Seth Rollins, Mark Henry, Jamie Noble and Joey Mercury - show up for the Team Cena/Team Authority contract signing. HHH says Team Authority will stand tall...as they cannot lose. He gives Team Cena one last chance to back down, even though John Cena is the only member who hasn't been viciously attacked. Cena shows up, a man alone. He says Team Authority is going down, and will find his team on Sunday even if he has to pick four people out of the crowd. After Cena cracks one joke after another at Team Authority's expense, Team Cena reforms. Dolph Ziggler and Big Show show up...then Erick Rowan shows up. He is angry that Luke Harper sold out to The Authority, and yells and points at him. Cesaro is the last man...to join Team Authority. The real last man for Team Cena is Ryback, who finally has a change of heart and evens the odds. The brawl is on, and it ends quickly with Team Authority being decimated and Triple H getting an Attitude Adjustment through a table by Cena.

After getting us up to speed on the Survivor Series match this year, he mentions that anyone who has spoken out against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon has been taken out of commission - Zack Ryder, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan especially. He gives credit to Dolph Ziggler for fighting the good fight, and mentions that Ziggler and Jack Swagger are officially on Team Cena. Cena then introduces Ryback to the ring. After Ryback shows up, so does Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kane, and Seth Rollins. Before they walk to the ring, however, Mark Henry shows up and accompanies them, solidifying him as a member of Team Authority. After stating that everything is on the line at Survivor Series, Triple H puts Ziggler in a match with Mark Henry for later tonight before trying to entice Ryback into joining Team Authority. HHH announces the 3-on-2 handicap street fight between the team of John Cena and Dean Ambrose and the team of Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Kane that will happen later tonight before talking about Hell in a Cell. Rollins says he should be called the "undisputed future champion of the WWE," while Orton says his match is the real main event. HHH puts the emphasis back on "double main event," and also decrees that the winner of John Cena vs. Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell will be a #1 Contender's Match where the winner will go on to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. HHH tells Orton and Rollins to make him proud, and Kane's pyro hits to end the opening.

Suddenly, Paul Heyman shows up and says that whoever wins between Orton and Cena will be destroyed by Brock Lesnar. Big Show appears on the TitanTron, and the American flag comes down instead. When Rusev tries to pull it down, an American soldier tries to stop him only to be cut down by Rusev. Two men in suits rush in after the soldier is kicked in the face, and Rusev and Lana hastily retreat.

Big Show is in the ring after helping the soldier who was kicked in the face to the back. Show tells Rusev that his attempt to get into his head will not work, and come Hell in a Cell, Rusev's fifteen minutes of fame in the WWE are up. One of them contains a mannequin dressed like Seth Rollins, which he berates while tearing it apart with multiple household objects such as a hammer, a screwdriver and a pair of tongs. Seth Rollins shows up with Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble, then proceeds to make fun of Ambrose and berate the Kansas City crowd. When Rollins says he's going to beat Ambrose on Sunday, a special guest graces the show...Mick Foley, who shows up to "revisit an old friend" and said he knew the day where Ambrose and Rollins would have the ultimate showdown would come..and that under normal circumstances, Rollins would come out victorious. Rollins has respect for Foley after this...until Foley says he would come out victorious if the normal circumstances didn't involve Hell in a Cell. Foley gives some advice about Hell in a Cell, and Ambrose seemingly finds a kindred spirit in Foley before saying he's ready for this Sunday. Rollins begs to differ, saying he's smarter than Ambrose and that it's the smarter man who will win. Foley then says that their match will define Ambrose's and Rollins' careers the same way the Hell in a Cell match he had with Undertaker defined his. After Foley leaves, Rollins retreats only to be knocked off the apron by the broken Seth Rollins mannequin.

Layin' da SmackDown! - SmackDown recap for October 17, 2014

Seth Rollins shows up to start off SmackDown. He counters the "You sold out!" chants by telling the WWE Universe they would do the same thing in his situation, while also saying that they will never be like him, because selling out can be the best thing one can ever do in their lives. He uses his Money in the Bank briefcase as an example of that. As for Dean Ambrose, Rollins says that he deserves to be in a straitjacket instead of Hell in a Cell, and that when he's done with him, he'll have to be carried out of the ring. Suddenly, Dolph Ziggler shows up. While Rollins has the money and time, Ziggler says Rollins doesn't have self-respect. Rollins brushes off Ziggler's advice, and gets drop kicked in the face as a result. This starts their match.

Seth Rollins beats Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Dean Ambrose shows up and Rollins retreats. As he does, Ambrose tells Rollins he's going to destroy him at Hell in a Cell. Kane shows up, and after lamenting that he doesn't have a match at Hell in a Cell, he makes a match between himself and Ambrose for the main event tonight.

AJ Lee beats Layla with the Black Widow. After the match, Paige and Alicia Fox attack AJ Lee.

When Seth Rollins asks Kane to save him a piece of Dean Ambrose tonight, Kane tells him to consider the seriousness of the match he and Ambrose will soon have at Hell in a Cell, calling it a "first-time apocalypse" for the both of them.

Renee Young interviews Sheamus and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso). When they get through tonight, the only stars that The Miz and Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust) will be seeing will be the ones around their heads when they're lying on their backs.

Big Show shows up. After saying that he plans to beat Rusev at Hell in a Cell, he asks "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry to come out so he can talk to him. Show then talks about the time they head to Waffle House, flipped a guy's car and ran to a gas station before saying he and Henry are family, he then tells Henry that he has to tackle Rusev himself. Henry respects Show's wishes, and they shake on it before Rusev and Lana arrive to trash talk them again. Rusev says that the people will turn on Big Show when he loses at Hell in a Cell, but Big Show is fired up from this and tells Rusev he's going to knock the glass jaw right off of his face.

Nikki Bella beats Naomi.

Dean Ambrose vs. Kane ends with Seth Rollins attacking Ambrose. He and Kane attack Ambrose, but Ambrose fights back and sends Rollins and Kane scurrying away.
