As the Machine Guns run down who is in the tag team division, The North show up. Alexander calls the sit-down interview happening "preferential treatment" and that the Machine Guns were handed an opportunity at the tag titles while they had to earn everything. Alexander admits that the Machine Guns beat The North despite that, which raises the ire of Ethan Page, who says they did not beat them when they were at their best and that they decimated the tag division. Shelley tells The North that they would not take the titles to the grave, and that they can have their rematch any time they want. The North say they will do it on their own time, come back at 100% and take the titles back at Emergence.

He mentions his foot injury from January and how he was told he would walk with a limp for the rest of his life. Swann says he worked as hard as he ever could to prove the doctor wrong, and as months passed, he could feel himself healing and getting stronger. After an MRI, he was able to get back in action in time for Slammiversary, and he took the vacant spot for the Impact World Championship match. He says he gave the match his all, but Eric Young re-injured his foot with a steel chair. Swann says he is back in the same situation he was seven months ago, and the doctor tells him that if he were to get back in the ring, his life might change, as he will not live a normal life if he returns. Rich Swann announces that he has been forced to think about his family and career, and that he has been forced to retire. He thanks everyone in the company for their support and talent as well as the fans, and says it has been a good 15 years.
