Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 7, 2020

Madison Rayne guests on commentary for this week.

Willie Mack shows up to start tonight's show. He calls Ace Austin and Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) cowards for what they did to Rich Swann, and dares them to do it to him. Willie Mack then calls out Ace Austin, telling him to get in the ring. Reno Scum shows up, but Willie Mack is okay with fighting them both at once.

Willie Mack beats Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) in a two-on-one handicap match. After the match, Willie Mack is attacked from behind by Ace Austin, then Reno Scum hold down Willie Mack so that Ace Austin can hit The Fold.

Backstage, Kylie Rae is met by Gail Kim, who is excited to see her in the company. She is also met by Susie, and as they start to get along, Kiera Hogan shows up and says there are no friends in Impact and that everyone is fake. She also mentions that Kylie is facing her at Rebellion and that she won't be able to stand her heat. When Susie says "That's bad," Kiera Hogan challenges her to a match.

Chris Bey beats Daga after blocking a Sunset Flip and using the middle rope for leverage at the last second during a pinfall attempt.

This week's Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is the Xscape Match from Lockdown 2011.

Backstage, Taya whacks John E. Bravo - who is wearing a football helmet while wrapped in pillows and duct tape - with a steel chair in the back of a production truck.

At the treehouse, Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier talk about The North vs. Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards. Dezmond says it will be tough to watch due to The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) coming to hang out, while Wentz says he invited TJP and Fallah Bahh. After Trey Miguel mentions that he invited Triple XL (Larry D and Acey Romero), The Deaners show up with some beer, then TJP and Fallah Bahh show up with some food that nobody is interested in. This is before Triple XL show up, who help themselves before sitting next to Trey, who has to make some for them as he leaves. Wentz leaves along with Trey, awkwardly leaving Dezmond alone with everyone else.

Havok beats Madison Rayne.

Backstage, Tessa Blanchard meets with Eddie Edwards, saying she doesn't need his help and that she wants to fight her battle alone. Eddie says he could have left her alone, but he has been in her situation and that sometimes, when someone reaches their hand out, you have to take it. He is offering his hand so that she can be a World and Tag Team Champion, and the choice of whether or not to take it is up to her.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Ken Shamrock. Shamrock says that the heat from Sami Callihan's fireball penetrated his eyes and did some damage to the retina, and he had to put drops in his eyes with antibiotics in them for weeks to prevent them from being infected. He admits it was scary for a while, and that he was afraid he would not get his sight back for a week. Shamrock says that Callihan has no respect for anyone trying to make a living in the ring, and while he wants to win, he will not do it at the expense of others. He says that Callihan will do that at someone's expense, and that he does not care if his opponent can put food on their table. He says that he is trying to maintain his composure so that his match with Callihan can happen, as there is a "no touch" clause. As the interview is about to wrap up, the broadcast and lights are hacked, and Shamrock leaves the room to go after Callihan.

Tommy Dreamer and Rhino beat oVe (Jake and Dave Crist). After the match, Madman Fulton - who was ejected from ringside for grabbing Dreamer form behind - runs in and boots Rhino out of the ring before flattening Dreamer.

Rosemary is at the bar when she runs into Johnny Swinger, who tries to hit on her before stating that he is bringing somebody named "M. Jackson" to Impact next week. Rosemary then tells Swinger she wants nothing to do with him.

Kiera Hogan beats Susie as Susie looks for the glove for the Mandible Claw that Su Yung has.

Backstage, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) are met by Michael Elgin, and asks one of them to step aside so he can get their hands on Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards. As Alexander gets angry, Page says they will soften Tessa and Eddie up so that Elgin can beat them up. When Elgin asks what happens if The North loses tonight, Page gets angry. Elgin tells The North to channel that anger in the ring.

Backstage, Jimmy Jacobs interviews Tenille Dashwood, who says that Taya Valkyrie thinks she is bigger than the entire women's division, and that she has "lost the plot" since losing the Knockouts Championship. She also announces that Taya has a one-on-one match with her next week after having a word with Impact management.

The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) retain the Impact World Tag Team Championships against Tessa Blanchard and Eddie Edwards after Tessa refuses to tag Eddie in. After the match, Tessa tells Eddie Edwards that she knows Eddie only wants the World title as both of them argue. After Eddie leaves the ring, Michael Elgin runs in and attacks Tessa from behind, and Eddie heads to the back as Elgin hits an Elgin Bomb on Tessa.
