Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for April 14, 2020

Before the next match, Johnny Swinger says he has brought a "young buck" named "M. Jackson," then introduces Mike Jackson, who clearly is an older gentleman and not one of The Young Bucks (Katt and Nick Jackson). Jackson says he loves Impact Wrestling, but he does not like Swinger trying to take advantage of the young guys in the locker room and do things for him, and says he is "a 70-year-old Old Buck" who is here to kick his butt.

Johnny Swinger beats Mike Jackson after using the ropes for leverage. (During the match, it is announced that Rebellion will be a two-week event taking place for the next two weeks, and this announcement is repeated throughout the show.)

We hear from Ace Austin, who says that Willie Mack think it is his time, but unlike Rich Swann, he does not like Willie's odds and he makes his own luck. He then says that people call him garbage, and says that Willie should be concentrating on Swann's recovery. After Austin calls Willie a piece of garbage that he is supposed to be, Trey Miguel shows up and says he knows Austin is trying to play games just like he did with him and his mom. After Austin asks "How is your mom?", Trey immediately starts a brawl with him.

In footage from during the break, the stars and staff of Impact Wrestling pay respect to Mike Jackson.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore warns Ken Shamrock that tonight is just a contract and to not lay a hand on Sami Callihan or else the deal is off. Shamrock says he understands, then tells Scott to "control [his] boy."

TJP and Fallah Bahh beat Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend), The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) and Triple XL (Larry D and Acey Romero) in a four-way tag team match. After the match, The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) confronts TJP and Fallah Bahh in the center of the ring.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Tessa Blanchard vs. Gail Kim from Rebellion 2019.

Backstage, Rohit Raju tells Gama Singh that he needs a win tonight and that he should not be facing Hernandez. Gama slaps Raju for questioning him as a leader, saying that he knows what is best for him.

We see a video package of #CancelCulture's (Rob Van Dam, Katie Forbes, Joey Ryan) feud with The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake).

The video package then turns into backstage footage of Joey Ryan chewing out the guys in the production footage for playing the video package and telling them to play a video message from Rob Van Dam. In his hot tub with Katie Forbes, RVD apologizes for not being there for Joey Ryan last week, saying that everyone is trying to stay safe and practice social distance, especially from The Deaners, whom Katie does not like. RVD and Katie then make out.

Hernandez beats Rohit Raju.

It's time for Locker Room Talk with Madison Rayne. Johnny Swinger is the co-host, and he celebrates his win tonight before Rayne introduces tonight's guest, Kylie Rae. As Madison talks with Kylie Rae, Johnny Swinger tries to hit on Kylie Rae, who is excited for her match with Kiera Hogan at Rebellion. Kylie says she loves the women's division when asked about Kiera. Madison tries to get Kylie to be more honest with herself regarding Kiera Hogan, but it doesn't work. When Madison brings Kiera Hogan into the room, Kiera tells Kylie she will humiliate her and wipe the smile off her face. Kylie snaps and tells her to stop, then says that Kiera has pushed her too far and that she is not very nice before storming off.

We see footage of Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin wrestling in Qatar for Qatar Pro Wrestling. Michael Elgin beats Eddie Edwards to become the QPW Middle Eastern Champion after Edwards inadvertently knocks out the referee and "The Machine" Brian Cage shows up and beats up Edwards.

Ace Austin beats Trey Miguel after grabbing the tights during the pinfall attempt.

We hear from Willie Mack, who tells Ace Austin not to play mind games with someone who is used to playing. He says that while Austin got to some people, including Rich Swann, he is going to beat some respect to him when he takes the X Division Championship.

Tenille Dashwood beats Taya Valkyrie with a Sunset Flip after Taya brings a steel chair into the ring ony to have it taken away. After the match, Taya hits Tenille with a steel chair followed by a garbage can. She then places a few steel chairs on top of Taya, and demands John E. Bravo brings her more chairs. Taya then keeps stacking chairs on top of Taya while hitting the chairs with a garbage can lid, and shoves Bravo to the mat when he says that she has done enough before going up to the middle rope. Suddenly, Jordynne Grace shows up with a Kendo stick and attacks Taya with it. Bravo tries to stop Jordynne, but Jordynne hits him with it too before Bravo and Taya retreat. Jordynne then checks on Tenille Dashwood.

Backstage, Tommy Dreamer says that he and Rhino have been at war with oVe for a long time, and that it will come to an end next week. Rhino says that next week, things will get extreme, and he might Gore all three members in half.

We see a video package of everything leading up to Sami Callihan's return and the contract signing between him and Ken Shamrock.

Josh Mathews moderates a contract signing between Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan in the ring. Shamrock is introduced first, followed by Callihan. Callihan makes his own entrance on his own terms, takes the microphone and tells Mathews to get out of the ring before sitting down at the table. Callihan says he knows that Shamrock wants to put his hands on him and destroy him, but cannot due to the no contract rule put into place that will make the match null and void if he does. He goes on to say that their match would be the most important match of Shamrock's career, and that Shamrock knows it will give him more buzz than he has ever had. Shamrock signs the contract and shoves it towards Callihan, who is impressed with him being strong and silent before saying that he makes stars, buzz and ratings and that hitting Eddie Edwards with a baseball bat is the best thing to ever happen to Eddie. As Callihan says that Shamrock wants the same thing to happen to him, Callihan mentions Shamrock's family, which gets his dander up. Callihan tells him to stand there or else he will find out what happens when he press a button. After Callihan calls Shamrock "The World's Most Dangerous Bitch," Shamrock flips the table, then the lights go out. As they go inand out, men in hoodies wearing poster boards with a square face with X eyes on them are seen surrounding the ring. These men eventually head to the back, and Shamrock chases after them. Scott D'Amore tries to calm Shamrock down, but to no avail, and when he gets in his car, he gets a call from Callihan, who tells him to tip his driver. The driver is one of the masked men, and the rest of the masked men surround the car and try to tip it over. This ends the show.
